3/1(+0%) | (1) Acclamatic 3/1, Very promising debut third when beaten 3l in a 2yo race at Killarney; top course trainer; off a short break; knew his job on debut but should progress a little. Third over 1m at Killarney, trainer also runs a newcomer, market should be instructive. |

It looks significant that Dylan Browne McMonagle rides well-bred newcomer BIG CYPRESS. The Dubawi colt is a half-brother to a couple of smart performers in Listed winner Yosemite Valley and Irish Derby runner-up Piz Badile. Stablemate Acclamatic ran well on his debut at Killarney when third and is entitled to play a big role. Ballydoyle introduce newcomer Archers Bay, another son of the all-conquering Wootton Bassett.

Aidan O'Brien has won this race in six of the last seven seasons and may strike now with PIAZZA SAN MARCO who was very green on debut

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (8/1 +11%)Imposing Supreme |
8/1(+11%) | (9) Imposing Supreme 8/1, Ran to form when beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Navan last time. Usually consistent and a consistent veteran, suited by cut and effective from 7f to 8f. Four of his six wins have come at this venue, respected here with a valuable 7lb claimed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (10/1 -33%)Iowa City |

20/1(-67%) | (6) Professor Longhair 20/1, May not have stayed when 10l third in a 3yo race over 10f at Navan most recent. Cheekpieces for the first time and drawn wide. Off a short break, effective at 1m and possibly flattered by an all-weather maiden win. AW winner, appeared not to stay 1m2f at Navan in July, probably vulnerable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (50/1 +0%)Wrob And Wryan |
50/1(+0%) | (10) Wrob And Wryan 50/1, Needed the run when down the field in a handicap at Leopardstown most recent. Off a short break and effective from 8f to 10f. Fair AW maiden form last winter;, little impact in two runs on turf, faces a tough task. |

GENUINE ARTICLE was a good winner over course and distance at the end of July and ran a cracker subsequently when losing out narrowly in the Irish Cambridgeshire at the Curragh. This looks like a nice opportunity to bag another win. Blue Moon Boy sprang a shock when winning his maiden here early last month and is interesting off a low weight. Iowa City showed promise on her first start for Paddy Twomey at Killarney in May and is another to note.

Boasting a fine overall record at this venue, IMPOSING SUPREME may avenge the defeat inflicted by Genuine Article at the festival

11/1(+8%) | (7) Georg Zhukov 11/1, Ran below debut form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Killarney last time. Usually consistent, with a top course jockey booked, effective from 8f to 10f, but in moderate form in both codes. Unplaced over hurdles on his last two starts, found 1m4f beyond him here at the festival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Significant jockey booking; wide draw; effective from 7f to 8f and fairly treated on 2yo form. Went very close here at the festival, balance of this season's form not at the same level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (14/1 +58%)Virgil Tibbs |
14/1(+58%) | (9) Virgil Tibbs 14/1, Ran to form on handicap debut when beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Gowran Park last time. Effective at 1m, in decent form, and not fully exposed. Fair sixth at a huge price in a C&D maiden, a short head behind Edergole's Angel last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (33/1 +0%)Electric Beauty |
33/1(+0%) | (10) Electric Beauty 33/1, Scored by a neck off 61 over 7f at Leopardstown in July. Up in trip she did not stay and was well beaten latest. Wide draw, effective from 7f to 8f, but inconsistent. Has failed to sustain the improvement shown in winning over 7f at Leopardstown in July. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(14) (66/1 -32%)Romantic War |
66/1(-32%) | (14) Romantic War 66/1, Went clear but made too much use of up in trip and did not stay, finishing down the field in a handicap over 10f at Navan most recently. Regressive. Huge price when last of 19 at Navan on Saturday, 9lb out of the handicap, safe to rule out. |

TILANI may be able to confirm course form with Flying Fortress despite being a few pounds worse off. The Belardo gelding rounded off the festival meeting here with a win and was value for a bit more than his winning margin of half-a-length then. With Robert Whearty claiming off Flying Fortress he is now 6lb better off, so is entitled to play a big role. Rizal is another to consider.

There may be more improvement in TILANI following his C&D defeat of Flying Fortress, who can be rated a serious threat

4/1(+0%) | (2) Sanctijude 4/1, Ran to form when beaten 8l in an auction race over 6f at Naas last time, having shown good form beforehand. Has a wide draw but effective at 7f and has shown enough to win a maiden. Return to longer trip to suit, first run on soft. |

(4) (14/1 +65%)Girl Bear |
14/1(+65%) | (4) Girl Bear 14/1, 14 Feb; 27,000 euros Kodi Bear filly; half-sister to Gordonstoun, very useful at 8f. Dam useful at 6f at 2yo. Faces a tough enough task on debut. Second in recent Leopardstown barrier trial, having shown speed throughout. |

SANCTIJUDE wasn't disgraced when mid-division in the valuable Ballyhane Stakes last time and looks capable of landing a race of this standard. She had run a big race at Gowran previously and a reproduction of that would make her a leading contender. Cherry Hill Girl shaped with promise when third on her debut at Leopardstown and could prove the danger with that experience under her belt. Newcomers Zous And Me and Goofy Gander are ones to watch in the betting.

No standout but CHERRY HILL GIRL proved she can handle soft ground on debut and could prove the one to beat off a light weight

Effective at 7-8f, acts on good or softer ground. Needs to build on that revival. Relished soft going when scoring by a big margin at Roscommon, 12lb hike may anchor him. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (18/1 +10%)Moyassr |
18/1(+10%) | (5) Moyassr 18/1, Up in trip and may not have stayed when down the field in a 9f handicap at Leopardstown most recently. In good form prior and now off a short break. Effective at 7-8f. AW winner, has run well in turf handicaps on good, might not want it too soft. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (22/1 +0%)Speckled Meadow |
22/1(+0%) | (9) Speckled Meadow 22/1, No obvious excuse when down the field in an 8f handicap at Killarney most recent. Top jockey is back on board but has a wide draw. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(18) (50/1 +0%)Bella Mistiko |
50/1(+0%) | (18) Bella Mistiko 50/1, Needed the run when down the field in a handicap at Gowran Park most recently. Generally out of form, regressive in 2024, and fared no better on reappearance. Third reserve, second in a maiden at Sligo last season, very weak form in handicaps. |

SELECTIVE POWER may be able to follow up despite a 12lb hike for a very easy success at Roscommon eight days ago. The Thomas Coyle-trained gelding revelled in the testing conditions that day and looks set to get his preferred soft ground again. Counterculture ran well at that same Roscommon meeting and is another who seems to prefer cut in the ground. Goldrush Kid ran well when runner-up here at the festival and is another for the shortlist.

Disappointing on her seasonal debut, COUNTERCULTURE (nap) gave a reassuring display at Roscommon last week and can defy top weight now

66/1(-65%) | (11) Denim And Diamonds 66/1, The yard has won 2 of the last 10 renewals. May have found the ground too soft when beaten 3 1/4l in a handicap over 11f at Killarney last time. Limerick maiden winner and just okay run in Killarney handicap since; very stiff task. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

LA ISLA MUJERES should appreciate the cut in the ground here and can land another Listed prize for connections. The Lope De Vega mare ran well on her sole outing this season, when second over 2m at Down Royal in May. She's had a little break since and could have a good autumn campaign. Island Hopping, third in the Irish Oaks, ran a big race in Group 3 company at Cork last time and sets the standard off her mark of 106. Smart jumper Jetara is another fascinating runner.

Island Hopping comes out top on ratings but is passed over here in favour of LA ISLA MUJERES

Looks high enough in the weights and slow starts remain an issue. Ballinrobe 1m2f win in May; didn't convince over this trip last time and of limited appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

16/1(-14%) | (8) Churchwarden 16/1, Ran to form when beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap over 1m6f here last time. Usually consistent and effective at 14f, but in only moderate form since returning from hurdling. 1m6f looked beyond him here last time; back in trip here but wide draw a negative. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (28/1 -12%)Nita |
28/1(-12%) | (9) Nita 28/1, Had too much to do after meeting trouble, beaten 10l in a handicap over 1m5f at Leopardstown last time. Generally out of form and usually held up. 33/1(+18%) | (15) Littlesumpinsumpin 33/1, Improved a little on his flat return when well beaten in an auction race over 9f at Gowran Park latest. Cheekpieces applied for the first time. Needs to build on that latest effort. Of limited appeal off this opening mark unless first-time cheekpieces bring improvement. |

Dual course winner OUT ON FRIDAY may be able to strike again here. Philip Byrnes' charge ran well last time and has won in testing conditions around here in the past. Steps In The Sand was a good winner over further here at the festival. She was a touch disappointing back over hurdles last time but has to be respected on the Flat again. Rain ran well at Leopardstown last time and could be place material stepping back up in trip.

Absent since a Gowran win in April on heavy ground, the now claimer-ridden SPRING EVENING is taken to follow up despite a wide draw

2/1(+67%) | (7) Sharanga 2/1, Zarak filly; dam was top-class over 12f. Looks an unlikely winner on debut. Well-bred debutante; yard's maidens in top form so demands utmost respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (3/1 +10%)Generous Support |
3/1(+10%) | (4) Generous Support 3/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 4l, in a maiden at Roscommon last time. Effective at 12f and acts on soft and good ground; holding form well in maidens. C&D second entitled to be thereabouts but remains vulnerable to less-exposed types. |

(8) (40/1 +0%)Thru The Gap |
40/1(+0%) | (8) Thru The Gap 40/1, Below form when dropped in trip and well beaten in an 8f Roscommon maiden last time. Usually held up; effective at 12f but inconsistent and needs more to feature in handicaps. Just fair level of form in three maiden runs, surprising if she were to feature here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (50/1 -79%)Alexa Next |
50/1(-79%) | (2) Alexa Next 50/1, Improved slightly when fourth, beaten 5l, in a maiden at Bellewstown last time after stepping up in trip. Has not been asked for maximum effort so far, though current rating may flatter. Bellewstown fourth an improvement but likely good bit more needed here. |

This looks like a nice opportunity for DREAM ON BABY to land a maiden. The Walk In The Park mare was runner-up in Grade 3 company over timber last season and ran well on the Flat at Tramore last month. Generous Support was runner-up at the festival here and looks like an obvious danger. Paddy Twomey runs two with Billy Lee riding Salentina, who may improve from her initial effort at Cork last month.

From an in-form yard, the well-bred SHARANGA could well be up to making a winning debut
