LIGHTNING FORCE came within a whisker of making a successful start to her career at Kempton, pipped by a filly who went on to make the frame in the Hilary Needler. Ollie Sangster's youngster should step forward appreciably and can gain compensation for that near-miss. Mapledurham may not have quite matched the level of her Newbury debut when sixth at Leicester but is still a force to be reckoned with, as is Alerta Maxima, who caught the eye here. Alondra isn't out of it either.

LIGHTNING FORCE made a highly encouraging start when runner-up at Kempton last month and might not need to improve to go one better for all that there are some interesting newcomers in opposition, notably Mollie Foster. Alerta Maxima is a definite player on the back of a promising start over C&D.

With her Kempton debut second given a boost last weekend, LIGHTNING FORCE is taken to see off Alerta Maxima and Dollyana.

Geliceaux responded well to George Downing's urgings to make a successful handicap debut at Salisbury and has every chance of following up off a 4lb higher mark. However, MYNA went out on her shield on her own handicap bow, going down by just a short head at Newbury, and that form may be slightly stronger. Papagei wasn't far away in sixth and could close the gap while, of the handicap newcomers this time, Toronto Raptor might be worth a look with cheekpieces applied.

MYNA was just touched off upped to this trip on his reappearance/handicap debut at Newbury and, with the likelihood of better to come, he is taken to go one better here. Geliceaux also improved on her first run over this trip/in handicap company when scoring at Salisbury and she looks a big threat. Papagei is shortlisted, too, while Breckenridge and Fram Castle both bring potential to the table now venturing down the handicap route.

Having gone down narrowly on his return from wind surgery, MYNA gets the nod upped a fair 3lb. Geliceaux is feared most.

MILLER SPIRIT doesn't look the most straightforward, but he was still good enough to spring a bit of a surprise over 1m4f here last week and the four-year-old escapes a penalty so can capitalise on being 3lb well-in. Clan Chieftain put an ordinary comeback behind him when finding only one too strong at Salisbury and heads the dangers. He is joined on that list by Bath scorer Enochdhu, who will appreciate any rain, and the reliable Turner Girl.

CLAN CHIEFTAIN is feasibly treated and bounced back in no uncertain terms at Salisbury last time, so he's capable of going one better if in the same form. Turner Girl remains of interest and Enochdhu deserves respect after scoring at Bath.

Miller Spirit has fair claims of giving his yard a hat-trick in this race but preference is for the lightly raced CLAN CHIEFTAIN.

Cypriot Diaspora was denied by a head into second in heavy conditions at Leicester on her latest outing and she should go well off a 2lb higher mark. However, the vote goes to HILLTOP, who finished third behind Gogo Yubari (winner) two starts ago at Wolverhampton, but she is 3lb better off with that rival. The daughter of New Bay arguably didn't enjoy the track at Salisbury when well-held in fifth last time and can put that effort behind her to shed the maiden tag. Imola warrants a market check on her handicap debut.

CYPRIOT DIASPORA upped her game when second at Leicester recently and a performance of similar merit would probably be enough to land this unless Imola takes a step forward for the switch to handicapping. Gogo Yubari is also in good order, so shouldn't be dismissed for all that she'd need to improve to overhaul the selection.

Lyraisa is considered but the keen-going HILLTOP is clearly felt capable off this mark and gets the nod.

ENCHANTING produced a big effort to finish fourth in the 3YO "Dash" at Epsom earlier in the month and the handicapper may have been kind to drop her 1lb for that performance. The daughter of Blue Point has plenty of early pace to burn and she could prove too good for her rivals. The main threat might be Make It Easy, who met trouble at both ends of the race at Musselburgh last time, so that display deserves a huge upgrade. Of the remainder, Cloud King makes the most appeal in a first-time hood.

ENCHANTING looked potentially useful as a 2-y-o and got back on track at Epsom last time, so she's worth a chance to click and gain her first handicap success at the possible expense of Make It Easy, who is in good order. Cloud King disappointed here last time but remains with potential if he's as effective on turf as AW.

The vote goes to MAKE IT EASY, who didn't have much go right last time off the back of a solid run at York.

DREAMROCKER caught the eye when reaching the frame in this grade over 7f at York last month and she goes off an unchanged mark. Ed Walker's four-year-old makes only her third handicap start and, with the likelihood of more to come, she looks the one to side with. Magical Merlin finished third at Brighton on his latest outing and is worth a second look tackling a mile for the first time, while New Heights remains on a workable mark.

Unexposed 4-y-o DREAMROCKER stepped up on her low-key reappearance effort when a solid third in a big-field 7f handicap at York last month and she should have more to offer back up to a mile. Double Time didn't do much wrong at Newmarket and he is second choice ahead of Magical Merlin and Maysong, while Cervetto could also have a part to play.

Cervetto (second choice) has some potential, as does DREAMROCKER (nap), who did well to finish as close as she did over 7f latest.
