|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (40/1 -82%)Gunfighter |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (7/2 +13%)Knebworth |
7/2(+13%) | (3) Knebworth 7/2, Winner at Newbury on final start of 2024; Raced freely 4l third in a handicap here most recent run at the start of May; could figure Wins all on softer than good; encouraging this season when the ground did not look ideal. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having finished in the runner-up spot on her last two outings, compensation may beckon for CINQUE VERDE. The daughter of Sioux Nation looked to find her latest second over 5f here on the sharp side and she makes plenty of appeal reverting to 6f. Although Fine Interview failed to justify favouritism at Haydock eight days ago, it is too early to write him off. The four-year-old is feared most, ahead of the Richard Hughes-trained Knebworth.

Fine Interview might be forgiven his performance at Haydock last Saturday but KNEBWORTH and Wodao also make appeal.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having been slowly away and staying on into second over C&D last month, STELLAR SUNRISE should have learned plenty from that opening bid. Andrew Balding's colt could prove tough to beat with that experience under his belt and appears the one to beat. The biggest threat may emerge from Poatan, who looks a likely improver stepping up in trip after his third at Beverley. Ahead Of Fashion cannot be dismissed dropping in class, while market support for newcomer River Spey would be interesting.

Having shown promise in a C&D event, STELLAR SUNRISE is preferred. Poatan, Jel Pepper and Victorious One are interesting.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (14/1 -65%)Coul Jane |
14/1(-65%) | (4) Coul Jane 14/1, Yard has won 2 of last 5 runnings of race; looked suited by step up in trip to 6f when fourth beaten 7l in a maiden over 6f at Kempton latest; may contend Improved on AW 11 days ago on third start, making most at 150-1, but needs better still. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (9/2 +50%)Miss Apres |
9/2(+50%) | (6) Miss Apres 9/2, 5 1/2l fourth in a maiden over 6f at Redcar first-time out; back in trip after fading over 6f; open to marked improvement now over minimum trip 12-1, prominent long way when 4th of eight in maiden at Redcar (6f, good to firm) on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (9/2 +10%)Sayidah Poets |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (15/2 -67%)Dinamo |
15/2(-67%) | (5) Dinamo 15/2, Made little impression when back in field on debut at Doncaster; came on for that when second beaten 1/2l in a claimer at Beverley latest; not out of it based on that; top 2YO trainer Close, front-running second at Beverley (5f, good) on second start, in just a claimer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (14/1 -180%)Very Mindful |
14/1(-180%) | (8) Very Mindful 14/1, Back-to-back seconds on first two starts; made too much use of down the field in a maiden at Wolverhampton most recent; blinkers first time; unproven on slow ground; contender Has gone the wrong way on AW; cheekpieces (tried last time) are replaced by blinkers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (28/1 +44%)Amakhala |
28/1(+44%) | (2) Amakhala 28/1, Appeared to have slightly benefited for debut experience when beaten by 6l in a maiden at Wolverhampton last time; bit to find and this could be a big ask 80-1 and 150-1 for his two 5f AW runs last month, seventh of nine last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having weakened away tamely at Wolverhampton last month, Very Mindful has something to prove at present. The application of first-time blinkers could perk the daughter of Havana Gold up and she shouldn't be underestimated judged on her previous exploits. However, CANYOUHEARTHEDRUMS hasn't been disgraced in class 2 contests of late and these calmer waters may enable a breakthrough victory. Dinamo and Miss Apres are others of interest.

This field does not inspire much confidence but MISS APRES has had just the one attempt and showed some ability. She should improve.

6/1(+50%) | (6) Modern Utopia 6/1, Dual winner at Nottingham and Newmarket back end of last season; ran to form beaten 7 1/4l in Cheshire Oaks (Listed) over 11f at Chester last time; usually held up; down in trip 2025 results don't suggest she's up to this but a return to testing ground offers hope. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (16/1 +0%)Quebella |
16/1(+0%) | (8) Quebella 16/1, Won on debut at Wolverhampton over 8.5f in April; Second in a novice at Windsor 0.5L last time; bit to find against this opposition First and second in her two novices, latter over 1m2f; should still be open to progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (9/2 +44%)Janey Mackers |
9/2(+44%) | (4) Janey Mackers 9/2, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in Pretty Polly Stakes (Listed) at Newmarket last time; in good form prior when winning at Doncaster second start; questions remain regarding trip Emphatic 2yo win was on soft; well beaten on good to firm on her 1m2f Listed return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (14/1 +58%)Bowerchalke |
14/1(+58%) | (2) Bowerchalke 14/1, Raced freely when landing second-career win in a handicap at Chelmsford by a neck last time; bit to find in what is a stark rise in class Scored off a mark of 77 last Sunday over 1m2f on AW; this race is a much higher class. |

14/1(-17%) | (9) Queen Of Thieves 14/1, Won a maiden at Yarmouth by 11L in April; ran to form beaten 3l in Height Of Fashion Stakes (Listed) here last time; trainer in form; value selection based on balance of form 3l sixth of nine in C&D Listed race (good) 15 days ago but she kept on well. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

A respectable fourth in a Group 2 contest last year, MISS TONNERRE is clear of today's rivals on official ratings. She faded away in the closing stages of the Musidora at York on last month's reappearance, but retains the potential to win at this level and Ed Walker's yard has hit top form. Anna Swan will appreciate any cut in the ground and has the ability to feature, while the Kingman filly El Budoor took a step forward when scoring at Lingfield last time and is entitled to progress again.

A wide-open race if Miss Tonnerre fails for a third time to reproduce her best form. JANEY MACKERS gets the vote from El Budoor.

9/5(+64%) | (10) Aggagio 9/5, Market support when scored by 3l off 106 at Warwick in March; third on second start back in this sphere beaten 2l off 79 last time; the pick on balance of form Two minor honours over C&D (good) in May; big impact here on soft in 2022; should go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (3/1 +10%)Spirit Mixer |
3/1(+10%) | (1) Spirit Mixer 3/1, Back-to-back wins at Chester last season; below par beaten 8l in a handicap over 2m3f at that course last time; top course trainer; down in trip; value selection based on balance of form Has shown enough this season to be given each-way chance; soft ground would hold no fears. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (14/1 -17%)Sheradann |
14/1(-17%) | (6) Sheradann 14/1, Also representing Ian Williams, a yard worth watching ; below par last of six runner and comfortably held in a handicap at Haydock last time; chance Well beaten 15 days ago but several stablemates have surged back to winning form recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (6/1 -20%)Almuhit |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (9/1 -6%)Zinc White |
9/1(-6%) | (3) Zinc White 9/1, Yard has won 2 of last 9 runnings of race; below par down the field in a handicap over 2m1f at Galway most recent; another absent in this field since July 2023; bit to prove on return Ran away with Chester Cup consolation race (2m2f, soft;) in May 2023 after 561 days off. |

8th (9) (11/1 -57%)Morning Air |
11/1(-57%) | (9) Morning Air 11/1, Appeared not to stay beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap over 2m3f at Chester last time; not proven trip; should show some improvement; Rossa Ryan booking notable Chester Cup (mid-division) was a tough return to Flat and this race should be a lot weaker. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (16/1 -33%)Call My Bluff |
16/1(-33%) | (4) Call My Bluff 16/1, In-form when last seen in 2023; well backed beaten a length off 88 over 2m3f at Chester last time; also coming back after a lengthy time off the track; down in trip C&D winner who goes well on softer than good; 758 days off is the big question. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

YOUTHFUL KING was beaten less than a length when runner-up over 1m6f at Salisbury. He was doing his best work in the closing stages and Luke Dace's inmate looks worth another try over this longer trip, given he was winning off today's mark last autumn. Aggagio lurks at the bottom of the handicap and he can land a blow, having placed over course and distance recently, while Spirit Mixer could shape well from the top of the weights.

Spirit Mixer and Aggagio look the most solid but three fascinating candidates, including ZINC WHITE, return from long absences.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Eight-time Group 3 winner Hamish justified favouritism in a Listed contest when last seen and makes his return to action. The nine-year-old will be hoping for as much rain as possible and sets the standard with an official rating of 117, but the vote goes to BOLSTER. Karl Burke's charge struck in this class at Newmarket on his final start last season and was pestered on the lead when fourth in the Huxley at Chester last month. He hasn't hit his ceiling yet and could take a step forward to score. Last year's German Derby winner Palladium completes the shortlist on his debut for the Gosdens.

The years have taken no toll on the admirable HAMISH so far and hopefully the same will be true for his reappearance this time around.

10/1(+17%) | (5) Dapper Valley 10/1, Won last starts of 2024 at Yarmouth; poorly drawn beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Kempton last time; wide draw again today; Hollie Doyle keeps ride This season introduces doubts even though return to soft ground today should suit. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Racingbreaks Ryder outran his odds of 33/1 to make the frame at Kempton last month and, with all five of his career victories coming on turf, he has to be respected. Rey De La Batalla could only manage sixth over C&D last time but takes a drop in grade and is one to watch. However, NARIKO was beaten by the smallest of margins into second at Doncaster when last seen and is just 2lb higher on her return to the fray. With a similar performance, she could be the one to beat.

Racingbreaks Ryder is set for a bold show but that is probably not enough to contain the reappearing NARIKO (nap).
Ths is the racecard key.
