1st (2) (2/5 +30%)Blue Orbit |
2/5(+30%) | (2) Blue Orbit 2/5, Runner-up beaten 2 1/4l in a maiden over 6f at Chepstow only start; back in trip; good attitude; strong claims if building on initial effort Runner-up on last month's Chepstow debut; first and third won next time; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (7/1 -100%)Proof |
7/1(-100%) | (3) Proof 7/1, Did not get a clear run down the field in a maiden over 6f at Bath most recent; went too fast that day; down in trip; every chance if back to level of debut form Promising second on debut but disappointed next time; has a bit to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (5/1 +44%)Baybe Driver |
5/1(+44%) | (1) Baybe Driver 5/1, Beaten 9l in a maiden at Salisbury on debut where went too fast; hard to recommend Beat one home on last month's Salisbury debut; improvement will be required. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (12/1 -100%)Selmiya |
12/1(-100%) | (4) Selmiya 12/1, Raced freely well beaten in a novice over 6f at Windsor latest; back in trip; needs to improve and probably one for handicaps after this Some promise on debut but well held second time; not sure dropping in trip is the answer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BLUE ORBIT shaped with lots of promise when only finding a subsequent winner too good on his debut at Chepstow last month and this drop to the minimum distance looks a good move. If the son of Starman takes a step forward from that experience, he could prove hard to beat. Proof failed to build on his promising introduction when only ninth at Bath earlier in the month, but he may be worth another chance. Selmiya can beat Baybe Driver home for third.

The vote goes to BLUE ORBIT whose second on his Chepstow debut has been boosted by the subsequent wins of the first and third.

5th (4) (8/1 +43%)Lady Kameko |
8/1(+43%) | (4) Lady Kameko 8/1, Yard won this last year; ran to balance of form beaten 5l in a handicap over 10f at Chelmsford last time; top course trainer; up in trip; best effort came on soft and is a big outlier compared to other runs; risky Bred to appreciate this trip and stable has landed four of the last seven runnings. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BABYLON has shown a good amount of ability in both of his handicap starts, most recently finishing a close third at Salisbury, and he goes off the same mark. The son of Sea The Moon could improve for this step up in trip and get off the mark at the sixth time of asking. New York Minute has shown enough in his three maiden outings to suggest he could get involved off an opening mark of 71. String Of Pearls is another to keep an eye on.

The vote goes to LADY KAMEKO who should relish the longer trip, while her stable has taken four of the last seven runnings.

3rd (1) (8/1 -60%)Morcar |
8/1(-60%) | (1) Morcar 8/1, Game when scored by 1/2l off 78 over 10f at Lingfield penultimate start; ran to form second beaten 2 1/4l off 81 last time; not proven trip; wants 10f and a sound surface; place claims if stamina holds up Four wins over 1m2f on good to firm ground but looked a non-stayer in one go over this far. |

10/3(+0%) | (7) Just An Hour 10/3, Ran to form looking suited by return to 12f landing a handicap by 1/2l off 73 at Leicester last time; good attitude, acts on any; can defy 2lb rise 2-3 since returning in April and just 2lb higher than for latest success; should go well. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

11/1(+56%) | (8) Taritino 11/1, Keen, suited by positive ride at sharp track scored by 3 1/2l off 88 over 2m at Taunton three starts back; every chance, ran to form, outstayed at stiff track second beaten 2 1/2l off 92 last time; enjoys making it; down in trip; needs more back on the flat Just 1lb higher than when completing a hat-trick on the Flat around this time last year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (7/1 -17%)Graham |
7/1(-17%) | (4) Graham 7/1, Keen, mistakes, below form up in trip, lit up by first time blinkers, made too much use of beaten 9l in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Warwick last time; down in trip; off a short-break; others preferred Returns to the Flat off the same mark as when runner-up at Newbury a year ago; interesting. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

JUST AN HOUR made it two wins out of his last three starts at Leicester earlier in the month and is just 2lb higher. Rod Millman's five-year-old can take this step up in grade in his stride to continue his brilliant form. Morcar was far from disgraced in second at Windsor last time and he is unexposed over this distance, while Graham isn't ruled out either.

The selection is TARITINO who is just 1lb higher than when completing a hat-trick on the Flat around this time last year.

7/2(-17%) | (3) Earnest Belief 7/2, Had benefited for debut experience 2l third in a novice over 12f at Haydock most recent run; that form franked; trainer in form; up in trip; threat Improved from his debut when third at Haydock last time; should enjoy the step up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (50/1 +0%)Hunsterson |
50/1(+0%) | (5) Hunsterson 50/1, 20,000gns Advertise gelding; half-brother to Show Of Stars, very smart at 9f; dam useful at 12f; yard in good form and can get the odd debut winner; probably best watched Best watched on debut unless the market suggests otherwise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (33/1 -313%)Abingworth |
33/1(-313%) | (1) Abingworth 33/1, Won a handicap chase at Market Rasen over 2m5f by 4 1/4l last time; hugely progressive in that sphere; probably best watched on flat debut In fine form over fences lately but hard to know how he will take to this scenario. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (14/1 -27%)Majestic Leo |
14/1(-27%) | (6) Majestic Leo 14/1, Probably needed race down the field in a maiden over 10f at Leicester most recent; cheekpieces first time; up in trip; off a short-break; inconsistent; bit to find Well held on reappearance and needs to benefit from the step up in trip; cheekpieces on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (10/3 +33%)Moon Chime |
10/3(+33%) | (2) Moon Chime 10/3, Benefited from drop in class when winning a handicap hurdle at Hexham over 2m by 3l last time; prefers a sharp track; back in trip; progressive over hurdles; dual bumper winner; likely type on flat debut Winner of four of his last six completed starts over hurdles but this poses a new question. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (40/1 -100%)Galactique |
40/1(-100%) | (4) Galactique 40/1, 32,000 euros breeze-up purchase by Galiway; rivals set good standard; probably need this initial experience; best watched Probably only of interest on debut if attracting market support. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This can go the way of WAY OF STARS, who drops back to maiden company after a highly creditable fourth in a valuable handicap at Doncaster recently. The son of Sea The Moon seemed to get the distance on that occasion, and he is narrowly preferred to Earnest Belief, who improved from first to second start when third over 1m4f at Haydock in May. A winner of two of his last three over hurdles, Moon Chime is an intriguing recruit to this sphere.

This can go to WAY OF STARS who has some good handicap form to his name and should take the beating back in a maiden.

2/1(+0%) | (2) Organ 2/1, Improved a little up to a mile landing a handicap by 1/2l off 78 at Haydock last time; good attitude, fast ground suits best; unexposed at the trip; could continue progress Progressive sort; bids for a hat-trick after two wins at Haydock last month; major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (9/1 -125%)Sea To Sky |
9/1(-125%) | (1) Sea To Sky 9/1, Disappointing off a stiff mark based on Listed form beaten 9l in a handicap over 7f at Haydock last time; usually consistent; up in trip; top jockey back on board; flattered seasonal debut and bit to prove after well beaten both 3yo starts Listed placed last autumn but well held since returning, including on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (4/1 +43%)General Admission |
4/1(+43%) | (5) General Admission 4/1, Tried in a visor, but didn't seem to suit beaten 6l in a handicap at Newbury last time; in good form prior; top course trainer; touch disappointing of late; needs to prove AW novice form no fluke Made the frame in first four starts on the AW but twice held on turf; has a bit to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (7/4 +42%)Herculeus |
7/4(+42%) | (4) Herculeus 7/4, Made hard work of it after smooth progress landing a handicap by a head off 73 at Nottingham last time; can rate more highly, but looks a tricky ride; could defy 4lb rise Good attitude when narrowly off the mark on handicap debut; open to further improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (15/2 -88%)Seven Symphonies |
15/2(-88%) | (3) Seven Symphonies 15/2, Unlucky in-running, may have been a length closer and fair effort off a break beaten 3 1/2l off 82 at Sandown last time; cheekpieces first time; good mark on AW novice form; threat Didn't enjoy a clear run when fifth on last month's Sandown return; cheekpieces on. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ORGAN continues to go from strength to strength this season and, as long as he handles the undulations of this track, the son of Ulysses looks well capable of landing the hat-trick off a 5lb higher mark than his latest Haydock win. A determined winner on his handicap bow at Nottingham, Herculeus is entitled to have plenty more to come after just four starts, while Seven Symphonies is respected after not getting the clearest of runs on his return at Sandown last month.

Preference is for ORGAN, who has shown a good attitude and can complete the hat-trick off a 5lb higher mark.

15/8(+44%) | (4) Getreadytorumble 15/8, Cosy winner won a maiden at Brighton by a length last time; steadily progressive; trainer in form; progressing and more to come now handicapping off potentially lenient mark Off the mark at Brighton last time; further improvement possible on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (5/1 +50%)Kinetic Force |
5/1(+50%) | (1) Kinetic Force 5/1, Well treated at weights when scored by 4l off 75 at Bath penultimate start; looked irresolute tenth beaten 15l off 87 last time; probable breathing issues makes form erratic; risky Very much a mixed bag since returning in January; still 12lb above latest winning mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (18/1 -80%)Rajeteriat |
18/1(-80%) | (7) Rajeteriat 18/1, Very poor handicap debut with hood removed beaten 6l in a handicap at Epsom last time; cheekpieces first time; erratic and temperament a likely issue; others more reliable 0-6; finished around 4l behind Blinky at Epsom 13 days ago; cheekpieces on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (6/1 +40%)Seraphim Angel |
6/1(+40%) | (5) Seraphim Angel 6/1, Made a lot of use of and didn't stay up in trip down the field in a handicap over 6f at Chester most recent; generally out of form; down in trip; all form over 5f on a sound surface but must bounce back Won twice last year, but unplaced in three starts this term; 2lb drop not enough to tempt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (5/2 +17%)Blinky |
5/2(+17%) | (3) Blinky 5/2, Not the clearest run, but probably every chance and very good effort beaten 1 1/2l off 84 at Epsom last time; this probably easier; consistent; squeak Has done well since the cheekpieces went on (21134); shouldn't be far away again. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BLINKY caught the eye in the 3YO Dash at Epsom when short of room at a crucial stage before staying on well towards the finish. Another sharp track should suit this speedy son of Mehmas and he is a confident selection ahead of Dan Tucker, who almost got up late to snatch a decent pot at York last week. Making his handicap debut off a mark of 82 following a taking success at Brighton earlier in the month, Getreadytorumble cannot be ruled out either.

It's hard to get away from DAN TUCKER (nap) who is 5lb well in following his narrow defeat at York seven days ago.
Ths is the racecard key.
