13/2(+41%) | (4) Cotton Bud 13/2, 19 Mar; 47,000 euros Cloth Of Stars filly; half-sister to useful 13 furlong horse St Faz; dam useful at 7f at 2yo; trainer in good form; yard in good form; might need further in time; probably best watched on debut 47,000euros yearling; this is a tough starting point and she could be one for later on. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Doncaster debut winner WETSAND wasn't beaten far in a Group 3 at Deauville next time and in receipt of 4lb from recent Carlisle scorer Aspiral, she can prove too strong now eased in class. Swift Winds shed her maiden tag at Brighton latest but will need more to repeat the dose, so newcomer Oh Yes You Do, whose stable have had a handful of debutants go in this season, could pose a bigger threat.

This can go to WETSAND, who was beaten less than 3l in a Group 3 in France last time and has strong claims back in much calmer waters.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Plenty with chances, and only a tentative vote can go to BACK IN BLACK. James Fanshawe's colt hasn't been seen since scoring at Newbury in April, an effort for which he was subsequently raised 6lb. The Dark Angel colt still holds an entry in the Park Stakes so if hoping to take up that engagement, he will need to go close today. Both Mudbir and Great Acclaim arrive in search of hat-tricks and neither should be far away, while Golden Mile hero Rhoscolyn is another to consider.

Improving colt BACK IN BLACK is interesting on his return from another break and gets the vote ahead of Great Acclaim.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

It looks best to side with PRINCE OF THE SEAS, who hit the frame in a contest at Ascot's Shergar Cup meeting a fortnight ago. With Jack Dace removing a handy 5lb, the lightly-raced three-year-old ought to go close. Adjuvant hasn't been seen since finishing a creditable ninth in the November Handicap at Doncaster last year but market support would be noteworthy, while the class-dropping Crystal Flyer should not be overlooked.

The 3yo PRINCE OF THE SEAS could well build on his latest effort. Crystal Flyer and Warda Jamila complete the shortlist.

4/1(+0%) | (7) Vronti 4/1, Ran to form when coming second and beaten by 1/2l in a novice over 8f at Kempton latest; steadily progressive and still learning on the job; probably the pick on the balance of her form Close second in last two 1m outings; fighting chance, provided she stays the new trip. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Club Class, Made U Blush and Vronti all possess official ratings of 75 and bring plenty of experience to the table, but it may pay to side with the less-exposed DREAMASAR. Ed Walker's filly is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Dreamloper and shaped with plenty of encouragement when outrunning her odds of 25/1 to finish third on debut at Newbury. The daughter of Masar takes a step up in trip and could have any amount of improvement to come.

With progress on the cards, DREAMASAR is preferred. Club Class (second choice) and Vronti have solid claims.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (18/1 -125%)Expert Witness |
18/1(-125%) | (3) Expert Witness 18/1, Well backed when coming a 7 1/2l third in a handicap over 12f at Pontefract on most recent run; comes into this off a short-break; winner at Windsor in April; on just a 3lb higher mark since that win; can bounce back in this Won at Windsor in April; has failed to back up that form in two starts since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Whathappensinvegas justified favouritism by just under two lengths in this class at Windsor and is likely to be on the premises, despite his 4lb higher mark. Pink Lily made a pleasing return when making the frame at Newmarket and is a C&D winner to take seriously. However, ASMEN WARRIOR looks the way to go. The three-year-old made a pleasing start for the James Owen yard when second at the same venue last month and can capitalise on an unchanged rating.

Well-bred WICKED is worth another chance. Fellow 3yo Asmen Warrior is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GOBLET OF FIRE returns to the level for the first time since October having run with credit in some very competitive handicap hurdles, most notably when third in the Swinton at Haydock. Nicky Henderson's gelding may have unfinished business in this sphere and gets the vote at the chief expense of Autumn's Breeze, who made a mockery of a 7lb rise when winning easily at Lingfield. Despite being 14lb higher in a tougher race, she commands plenty of respect along with Calvert, who sports cheekpieces for the first time.

Autumn's Breeze may improve further in cheekpieces, while TIMELESS CHARM and Miss Alpilles are interesting as regards the trip.

8th (6) (33/1 -32%)Ziggy's Missile |
33/1(-32%) | (6) Ziggy's Missile 33/1, Scored by 3/4l off the mark of 86 at Chelmsford in June; since came ninth and beaten by 8 1/2l off the mark of 88 last time out; down 2lb's in the weights since then; needs to bounce back in this Three 5f wins this year, on turf and AW; well below best since the latest of them in June. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

QUEEN ALL STAR appears likely to bounce back to form after finishing last in the Coral Charge at Sandown. Jack Channon's filly had progressed nicely prior to that effort, winning three of her four starts, and the return to handicap company should be in her favour. The hat-trick seeking Grandlad is capable of being in the mix, while All Ways Glamorous is another for the shortlist.

Grandlad can put up another bold show but C&D winner ROSARIO (nap) did well to get as close as he did at Ascot and is preferred.
Ths is the racecard key.
