The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Stressfree appeals strongly, especially now some rain has hit the track, and another bold showing from him looks likely. However, this is deeply competitive and many hold equally strong claims. Shader and Faylaq, who are both bidding to complete hat-ticks, merit serious consideration, while Steel Tiger is also on an upwards trajectory. Slender preference, though, is for the lightly-weighted LIEBER POWER, who is set to encounter his ideal conditions and tends to go well for Oisin Murphy.

A lot of attention will be focused on the Gosdens' lightly raced handicap newcomer SHADER, deservedly given the way he won two novices.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

KODI LION has rarely run a bad race and that consistency earns him the vote. Still relatively lightly raced, the Mick Appleby-trained four-year-old has filled the runner-up spot in similar events on each of his last two starts. However, he has the potential to make good progress as a sprinter and another step forward could see him gain some just reward here. Pals Battalion, Sergeant Wilko and the admirable Dakota Gold are other each-way options to consider.

The 4yo FINE INTERVIEW continued the good work with a close third in a big field at Doncaster on his reappearance and earns the vote.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

A line can be put through NO HALF MEASURES' latest start where she failed to handle a quicker surface in the Palace House at Newmarket. With the forecast ground much more to her liking, a better showing can be expected from Richard Hughes' high-class filly. Jasour won a Group 3 at Ascot last year and is a must for a betting check, resuming after undergoing wind surgery. Rage Of Bamby and the low-mileage Leovanni are others that add depth to a strong renewal.

Jasour is interesting after wind surgery but preference is for BALMORAL LADY (nap) whose reappearance run promised plenty.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Estrange hasn't been seen since claiming Listed honours at Doncaster in November, but she holds a couple of fancy entries and must be respected. Beautiful Love, who was far from disgraced in the Dahlia before proving no match for See The Fire in the Middleton at York, is another that warrants serious consideration. However, it is SHAHA who shades preference. The daughter of Cracksman found considerable progress to scoop a Listed prize at Goodwood on her return recently and further improvement should be on the cards.

This may well be decided between exciting prospects Estrange and SHAHA, with the prospect of good ground deciding the vote.

25/1(-14%) | (6) Mount Athos 25/1, Ran to form second beaten 2 1/4l in the Michael Foster Conditions Stakes at Thirsk latest; won a Listed event in France last year; enjoys making it; bit to find but could get competitive AW Listed winner but needs to be better than ever if he's to take this. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

KINROSS wasn't at his best last season but even so, he managed to add a Group 2 success to an already stellar CV. The gelded son of Kingman doesn't have as much on his plate here as when winning this in 2021 and he should go very close if returning at the top of his game. 2024 Lockinge hero Audience looks sure to have a say, as does Alyanaabi, who claimed Listed honours over C&D on his return to action three weeks ago. Spycatcher took the Cammidge at Doncaster in March and is no back number returned to further.

It may pay to take a chance on the mare TIGER BAY, who did very well to win on her reappearance. Audience is second choice.

28/1(-56%) | (9) Magic Basma 28/1, Ran to form beaten 7l in Bosra Sham Fillies' Stakes (Listed) over 6f at Newmarket last time in November; should stay 7f; open to marked improvement but on stiff looking opening mark 3yo who could have potential off this mark now up in trip on her handicap/seasonal debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Mostar Dreams has a good draw and can go well having won over shorter at Carlisle recently, but an added 9lb from the handicapper looks punitive and she may have to settle for a place. Arabian Leopard has to be considered after winning comfortably from off the pace at Newmarket, but a chance is taken on MAGIC BASMA. Last seen running on over shorter in Listed class at Newmarket, she makes her handicap debut off a mark of 84 which may underestimate her ability.

Top of the list is ARABIAN LEOPARD, who won in good style at Newmarket and should still be well treated off 6lb higher.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

William Buick looks to have every chance of winning this on Owen Burrows' AL SHABABI. The colt got off the mark at Windsor recently, where he made his turf debut to win by close to three lengths. A mark of 82 seems fair for his handicap debut and he looks the sort to keep improving. Sea Founder is of interest after his Windsor maiden victory and you can make a case for Organ too.

Windsor maiden winner AL SHABABI clocked a fast time and is taken to follow up, with the unexposed Sheikh Raj feared most.
Ths is the racecard key.
