14:40 Haydock (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Street Life is a previous C&D winner and should be capable of another bold showing after enjoying a resurgent spell of late. However, GLORY FIGHTER, a fellow track-and-trip scorer, also boasts strong credentials and shades the vote from a competitive rating. Fortunate Star and Hurt You Never are closely matched on past exploits and help to make this a competitive affair.

The 8yo STREET LIFE has been running consistently well and is taken to add to his two wins in May. Glory Fighter is feared most.

15:10 Haydock (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Kevin Ryan sent out the winners of this race in 2022 and 2023, latterly for the same owner as LADY GORMIRE. Closely related to a couple of winners, the daughter of Lope De Vega has a pedigree that stands up to scrutiny and this could be an ideal starting point. Perfect Ruler, America Queen and Maw Can are all noteworthy in an event where newcomers appeal most.

Having gone for 180,000euros at the breeze-ups, AMERICA QUEEN earns the vote ahead of Lady Gormire.

15:40 Haydock (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The three previous winners look the ones to focus on and while Front Line Fury and Mister Moet both impressed by making all on their most recent starts, BLUE TO BLUE shades a narrow vote based on potential. The son of Blue Point's Beverley fourth carries more substance than the face value might have you believe and another step forward could suffice here.

Having impressed at Ripon a fortnight ago, FRONT LINE FURY is taken to defy top weight on his nursery debut.

16:10 Haydock (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Ground conditions might not have been ideal for JUJUBELLA when a creditable third at Chester last time. Lucinda Russell's filly has been on an upward curve since the turn of the year, winning three times on the all-weather, and she might have more to offer back on a sounder surface. La Cadalora is lightly raced and must enter calculations with William Buick taking over for the first time, while recent Carlisle scorer Arctic Fox remains of interest following that confidence-boosting success.

The lightly raced 4yo LA CADALORA (nap) has run well in defeat on both starts this season and can get off the mark at the sixth attempt.

16:42 Haydock (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

400,000-euro purchase Look To The Stars represents the lethal combination of Charlie Appleby and William Buick. The Galiway colt is likely to prove popular in the betting, but previous experience could hold sway and, with that in mind, preference is for BOILING OVER. Karl Burke's charge pulled a couple of lengths clear with the exciting Saba Desert (entered in the National Stakes) at Sandown last month, so any further improvement may well suffice. Protection Act is also noted.

Charlie Appleby won this last year and 400,000euros newcomer LOOK TO THE STARS is the selection. Protection Act is feared most.

17:17 Haydock (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The application of first-time cheekpieces (retained) worked the oracle for Anthropologist at Ayr recently, and Charlie Johnston's charge merits the utmost respect from 4lb higher. That said, a chance can be taken on THE CHILDE OF HALE. The son of Havana Grey didn't get the clearest of runs when fourth over C&D in May, but it was a promising effort nonetheless and he's now 1lb lower. Groundsman can chase the pair home.

Anthropologist is a player but preference is for GEORGECANDOIT, who suffered a luckless passage when fifth at Beverley recently.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
