15/2(-114%) | (4) Lunarscape 15/2, Ran to form when beaten by 3 lengths off the mark of 68 at Ffos-Las last time; wide draw to contend with here; only 2lb's higher than last winning mark; young jockey who is riding well at present; she could bounce back here Dual turf winner who shaped with promise on Ffos Las reappearance last month; dangerous. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This can go the way of FLATLEY, who rates the one to beat following a strong runner-up effort over this distance at Chepstow last month. A winner at Wolverhampton in March as well, Adrian Wintle's charge is preferred to Port Erin, who has solid claims if bouncing back to the form of his penultimate success at Kempton. Biplane and Captain Corelli are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

The vote goes to FLATLEY was only just caught at Chepstow and is a big player if he can repeat that form off an unchanged mark.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

125/1(-279%) | (11) Thornaby Annie 125/1, 20 Feb; 28,000 euros breeze-up purchase by Galileo Gold; yard in good form at present; dam a half-sister to French winners Varkesha and Variyni; this might be a tough ask on debut Has useful target to aim at on debut and is best watched. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

AWAAFI did it well when scoring comfortably on debut over 5f at Hamilton last month and the runner-up from that contest has gone on to win since. Stepping up in trip is likely to bring about further improvement under a 6lb penalty and she may have too much for Ruby's Angel, who has been placed in two decent contests over 5f to begin her career. Runner-up over C&D last time out, Adalida is another to consider, along with Nor Zamin.

The vote goes to AWAAFI, who won in good style on her Hamilton debut and has plenty of scope for progress on this step up in trip.

33/1(-65%) | (5) Impressor 33/1, Did not get a clear run when beaten by 8 lengths in a handicap over 5 furlongs at Carlisle last time out; trainer in good form at present; comes into this off a short-break; might need the run here On workable mark but he's not easy to predict and drying ground would be a major concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

7th (9) (16/1 +36%)Sir David |
16/1(+36%) | (9) Sir David 16/1, Yet to win in seven career starts; beaten by 3 and a 1/4 lengths off the mark of 67 over 7 furlongs here last time; blinkers fitted for the first time; hasn't really shown much in his last few runs; best watched here 0-7 and he's finished in rear in three handicaps this season; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(+13%) | (6) Eartha 14/1, Lightly raced sort with one win in seven career runs; raced a bit too freely when coming down the field in a handicap over 7 furlongs at Thirsk on most recent run; generally out of form; top jockey back on board; needs a career best here Has claims on her best 2yo form but she's been out of sorts in two runs this season. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HARRY'S HALO caught the eye on his first run since November when running on late for sixth at Ripon last month and a mark of 75 still looks manageable for the five-year-old. He can notch up a fifth career success at the main expense of Dark Side Thunder, who was a respectable third at Yarmouth most recently, having scored over the same track and trip before that. Not beaten too far on her second run for new connections at Chepstow, Raffles Angel may have a say in proceedings.

Several have possibilities but HARRY'S HALO gets the vote ahead of Dark Side Thunder and Raffles Angel.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (9/1 -13%)Forever My Prince |

15/2(+12%) | (9) Trust Sergei 15/2, Two wins in eight career starts; suited by the fast ground when scoring by 1 and a 1/4 lengths off the mark of 56 at Doncaster three starts back; since came fourth and beaten by 3/4 of a length last time; place chance Two wins in the spring and he bounced back with close fourth at Chester latest; dangerous. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ARNAZ was no match for the progressive Tiger Tulip at Newbury last time, but this looks an easier opportunity. Ed Walker's charge finished a close third at Yarmouth prior to that and a repeat effort could prove good enough in this lower grade. Justcallmepete finished behind the selection at Newbury, though showed signs of a revival when runner-up at Doncaster subsequently, while Newmarket second Royal Musketeer could feature with an apprentice's allowance helping his cause.

The vote goes to JUSTCALLMEPETE (nap), who turned things around with a clear second at Doncaster last month.

20/1(+20%) | (5) Melakaz 20/1, Ran to form when coming fourth and beaten by 7 and a 1/2 lengths in a handicap at Wolverhampton latest; has been absent for very lengthy period (Since Feb 2022); has a tricky task here given the length of time he has been off the track Five-time AW winner but he returns after a long absence and has lots to prove back on turf. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Progressive last term, Russian Crescendo has been rested since disappointing at Southwell on her reappearance. It would be no surprise to witness a much better effort from the Haggas filly, but PIQUE' could also bounce back. The daughter of Nathaniel has been competing in higher grade contests over 1m4f so far this season, but she returned the impressive winner over today's distance at Nottingham last season, and gets another chance back at this level. Curran is preferred to Beauld As Brass of the remainder.

This looks tricky but PIQUE' gets the vote ahead of Russian Crescendo and Knights Affair.

9th (9) (125/1 -279%)Kingsclere |
125/1(-279%) | (9) Kingsclere 125/1, Last of nine on debut at Doncaster; had benefited for debut experience when beaten by 7 and a 1/2 lengths in a novice at Wetherby last time on her second start; difficult to fancy here Well held in both her starts and has stacks to find on the figures. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Although denied on both outings to date, this could prove a suitable opportunity for HEADMASTER to get his head in front. A repeat of his latest runner-up effort in a class 2 maiden at Windsor could prove good enough and William Haggas' gelding should take all the beating. The biggest threat may emerge from Grey Jaguar, who offered plenty of encouragement on his opening second over C&D earlier this month. Palio Di Siena, Tokyo Joe and newcomer Ertijaaj add further spice to the mix.

Lots of these have shown promise but it's hard to get away from HEADMASTER, who sets a clear standard on his runner-up efforts.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having completed a double a shade cosily at Wolverhampton 32 days ago, White Umbrella warrants respect in her hat-trick bid. However, a 7lb rise from the assessor and switch to turf demand a career-best performance from the six-year-old and preference is for PEARLY SQUIRREL. Ivan Furtado's filly opened her account in first-time cheekpieces at Doncaster earlier this month and a 3lb higher mark could prove to be lenient. Ironist is also of interest.

Better for the combination of 7f and a handicap last time, the 3lb well-in IRONIST is taken over Doncaster scorer Pearly Squirrel.
Ths is the racecard key.
