13:05 Hexham (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

It will be disappointing if BIGLESISBACK can't get off the mark in what looks to be a very winnable race on paper. Lucinda Russell & Michael Scudamore's mare finished second on her three starts prior to pulling up at Ayr last time and is taken to bounce back. Mister R finished fourth on debut in a Kelso race that has worked out well and is entitled to step forward from that experience. Mcelhattan may benefit from first-time cheekpieces.

Biglesisback sets the benchmark on peak form. However, the suggestion is MISTER R who shaped respectably (fourth) at Kelso.

13:42 Hexham (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ROCK N ROLL CHAMP hasn't been running badly over hurdles this season and the eight-year-old, who disappointed over fences at Sedgefield last time, gets a tentative vote in what looks a tricky puzzle on paper. Knockeranna Rose finished fourth on his handicap bow at Carlisle and is entitled to step forward from that effort, while the application of blinkers might aid the cause of Junkyard Dog.

It's possible that blinkers will assist Junkyard Dog but he still has much ground to make up with KNOCKERANNA ROSE.

14:22 Hexham (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DIDNTGOTWENTY gained a first career success in comfortable fashion at Musselburgh last month and he is capable of backing that performance up off a 9lb higher mark. Fortunefavorsdbold bounced back from a fall when second at Leicester and has to enter calculations, with the switch of headgear from cheekpieces to blinkers a potential source of improvement for King Of Cong.

Although she's not a regular winner, FORTUNEFAVORSDBOLD ran well when second at Leicester last time and can beat Didntgotwenty.

15:02 Hexham (Class 4) 31f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A few of these arrive with something to prove but that can't be said for PLANNED PARADISE, who recorded a clear-cut success in the North Wales National at Bangor. A 9lb rise doesn't look insurmountable given the depth of today's contest and he receives a confident vote. Ayr second Rob Roy Macgregor might improve for this marathon trip and Breeze Of Wind, who won this in 2024, could also have a say.

A marathon test. Preference is for the North Wales National winner PLANNED PARADISE, for whom Charlie Maggs takes off a handy 3lb.

KELVIN FORLONGE made a successful handicap bow at Ayr before finishing third over the same C&D, and the unexposed six-year-old is fancied to regain the winning thread with the assistance of Jack Power's 5lb claim. Gardener and Milan Park have found some consistency of late and must enter calculations, while market support for handicap debutant Berwick Law or the returning Micks Jet would need to be taken seriously.

The only one of these with winning form this season is KELVIN FORLONGE and he can go in again. Milan Park is next best.

16:22 Hexham (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Streamsforth Lad was still travelling well and only a length down when falling two out at Stratford on Monday and he must be respected if quickly bounced out. Always Busy drops in grade off a falling mark and is another to note, as is Court At Slip, who has struck the crossbar in similar races the last twice. Narrow preference, however, is for EXPRESS SURPRISE. He was by no means disgraced when fourth in 0-125 company over an extended 3m4f at Windsor and could notch a third win from his last four starts now dropped in class and trip.

Although 2025 winner Gibberwell is a possible, EXPRESS SURPRISE has better credentials and is preferred to Court At Slip.

17:00 Hexham (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Colonial Empire makes the long trip up from Tim Vaughan's base and merits close consideration following solid placed efforts at Taunton and Catterick, but the less-exposed ANOTHER HIGH FIVE gets the nod. This lightly-raced six-year-old shaped with lots of promise when chasing home a rapidly-improving rival on his handicap debut at Kelso and he can defy a 1lb rise to open his account. C&D winner Shoeshine Boy is by no means out of it either.

This stiffer track should be ideal for the unexposed ANOTHER HIGH FIVE (nap) who was a staying-on second over 2m6f at Kelso last time.
