That suggests that he could be successful in a race of this nature now returned to jumping. Pottersmattyeeehaa was second at Warwick last time and looks to be the main threat, ahead of Ocean Walz.

Neil Mulholland's FOR OLD TIMES SAKE has the potential for improvement on his second go in handicap company and he gets the vote.

CLOUDY WEDNESDAY found one too good when trying to follow up on his Market Rasen win over an extended 2m7f at this venue earlier in the month. The drop in trip should only help this veteran and he makes plenty of appeal as a result. Big Boy Barney is a player based on his third at Ludlow two starts ago, while Synchronist is next best.

Richard Bandey's RAP SOUL (nap) has looked a different model since sent chasing and he can complete a quick hat-trick.

BLUES SINGER was out of his depth in a Grade 2 at Kempton a couple of weeks ago but is arguably the one to beat based on his previous third to two decent prospects at Newbury in December. Kuredu King was successful when last seen on the Flat in September and has to be respected on his hurdling bow, while any market support for Cluain Chormaic on his debut for Karen Jewell would have to be noted.

Class-dropper BLUES SINGER gets the percentage call, ahead of solid-looking Eternity Rose, in quite an open maiden hurdle.

DOTTIES STAR appeals after a near miss when second over C&D 10 days ago. Running off the same mark, it would be no surprise to see the seven-year-old ridden handier with his bid to go one better this time. Chevington and Bluenose Belle have also shown enough to make the shortlist in this company, although Risk It All found only an odds-on favourite too good at Fakenham most recently and he could be a bigger danger with a step forward on that performance.

Dotties Star is second choice behind CHEVINGTON, who'll appreciate the better ground having run well on his handicap debut.

EVER READY posted her best effort yet over hurdles when she filled the runner-up berth at Southwell last month. That was her first try over this sort of distance and there could be more to come now she has proven that a stiffer test of stamina suits. Callin Baton Rouge has winning form over 2m4f and is another key player back over this trip. Innisfree Pearl is unexposed in this discipline and is another to keep a close eye on in the betting for her handicap debut over timber.

Preference is for JESSIE JUMP JET who shaped well on her debut for Sam Drinkwater when third at Hereford and can gain a maiden win here

However, Samwell ticks plenty of the right boxes on paper and this 60,000 euros-purchase might prove to be a bigger danger.
