30/100(+40%) | (4) Whatsyourproblem 30/100, Below par comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Fontwell last time; usually consistent; sets form standard; has experience edge; entitled to go close Slightly disappointing last time but earlier Southwell second makes him the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/4 -22%)Bongo Man |
11/4(-22%) | (1) Bongo Man 11/4, Comfortably held in a maiden hurdle here last time; that form franked; trainer in form; every chance Shaped with significant promise when fifth over C&D on stable/hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (22/1 -10%)Misteroddsocks |
22/1(-10%) | (2) Misteroddsocks 22/1, Down the field in a novice hurdle at Warwick most recent; inconsistent in bumpers prior; place claims Placed in one of his three bumpers but finished well down the field on hurdle debut. |

28/1(-75%) | (5) Vera Hobbs 28/1, Below par down the field in a maiden bumper at Hereford most recent; inconsistent in that sphere though best effort did come here; market best guide on hurdle debut Showed promise in one of her bumpers but was beaten out of sight in the other two. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (40/1 +20%)Rochester Brinks |
40/1(+20%) | (3) Rochester Brinks 40/1, Down the field in a novice hurdle at Hereford most recent; generally out of form; not proven trip; returning from a break; all to do Ran out when unsteerable in a bumper and well beaten on first two hurdling starts. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

WHATSYOURPROBLEM has failed to justify favouritism on each of his last two starts, but looks to have found an ideal opportunity. If the seven-year-old can reproduce his runner-up effort at Southwell two starts ago, he will prove tough to beat. Bongo Man was held in fifth on his first outing over hurdles over C&D last month, but he could take a step forward in order to have a say. Misteroddsocks looks best of the rest.

Whatsyourproblem is opposed with BONGO MAN, who shaped quite well when fifth over C&D on his stable/hurdle debut.

4/6(-8%) | (2) Cuban Court 4/6, Well backed when landed handicap by 2 1/2l off 95 here last time where had run of race; consistent; threat Scored over C&D last month and is now 2-4 since cheekpieces were refitted. |

4/1(-33%) | (5) Greenways 4/1, Ran to form 11l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f here most recent run; generally consistent; good ground suits; may contend Pulled up on chase debut in February but otherwise in good form since winning in November. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (40/1 -21%)Glenvango |
40/1(-21%) | (4) Glenvango 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee latest; cheekpieces first time; yet to fire in handicaps; fair mark on maiden form; risky Well beaten over today's trip in his first two handicaps; cheekpieces now added. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CUBAN COURT beat a subsequent winner when scoring by over two lengths in this class over track and trip last month and the handicapper might have been kind to only put him up 3lb. With a similar performance, he looks tough to oppose. Greenways finished last of the runners that completed over an extended 2m4f here last time and needs to pull out more off a 2lb lower rating. El Rayo is the pick of the remainder.

The most obvious answer is CUBAN COURT (nap), who was raised only 3lb for last month's C&D win.

1st (3) (9/2 -13%)The Wise Traveller |
9/2(-13%) | (3) The Wise Traveller 9/2, Made too much use of fourth beaten 24l in a handicap hurdle over 3m3f at Sedgefield latest having been taken on up front; out of form; likes it here; could get easy lead; interesting at a price He'll need to run better than he has in his last four races, from 3m to 3m3f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (3/1 -33%)Jack The Savage |
3/1(-33%) | (2) Jack The Savage 3/1, Ran to form 6 1/4l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Wincanton most recent run behind better treated rivals; consistent; up in trip; in the mix if stamina holds up Should go well provided he stays, being unraced beyond 2m5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (17/2 -209%)Kazontherazz |
17/2(-209%) | (1) Kazontherazz 17/2, Well backed 8 1/2l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Haydock most recent run; this easier; step up in trip a plus; well treated on old form; go well Hasn't won a race since late 2021 but continues to run well now and again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (7/4 +88%)Montana Golden |
7/4(+88%) | (4) Montana Golden 7/4, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Wetherby most recent; generally out of form; better ground a plus; good mark on bumper form; stamina to prove Essentially disappointing but could like the ground and he's bred for this longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (9/2 +31%)Wearapinkribbon |
9/2(+31%) | (6) Wearapinkribbon 9/2, Scored by a neck off 72 here penultimate start; fifth beaten 47l off 77 last time; probably on stiff enough mark Good and bad in two runs for this yard (visored); cheekpieces now return. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Wearapinkribbon improved for a first-time visor when scoring over C&D on his penultimate start, but failed to show the same spark when only finishing fifth at Exeter last time. With that in mind, JACK THE SAVAGE gets the nod. The eight-year-old finished a respectable third in a stronger event at Wincanton last time and goes off an unchanged mark. This step up in trip could eke out more and he can regain the winning thread. The Wise Traveller is another to note.

It's nigh impossible to make a solid case for any of these. JACK THE SAVAGE has at least shown some consistency.

5/2(+62%) | (3) Hurricane Bay 5/2, Wide trip comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Sandown last time; generally out of form since move to fences; cheekpieces first time; longer trip should suit but jumping a concern Miles below best after a long absence and hard to know what ability he retains. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (5/2 -43%)The Wolf |
5/2(-43%) | (2) The Wolf 5/2, Looked unenthusiastic beaten 3 1/4l off 130 over 2m7f at Stratford last time where unsuited by way race developed; likes the track; consistent this term; remains on good mark; leading contender Second to an improver at Kempton and similar form next time at Stratford; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (9/2 +59%)Statuario |
9/2(+59%) | (1) Statuario 9/2, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Uttoxeter most recent; step back up in trip a huge plus; much better in this sphere; good mark on summer form; go well Ran over hurdles last time; strong chance if back to the form he showed last summer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (15/8 -125%)Hystery Bere |
15/8(-125%) | (4) Hystery Bere 15/8, Travelled well beaten 1 1/4l off 116 here last time where just outstayed late; that form franked emphatically; off a short-break; chance if stamina holds up Unexposed over this trip and ran well over C&D in January; effective when fresh. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having found only a subsequent winner too strong over C&D in January, compensation could be on the cards for the reappearing HYSTERY BERE. A 2lb rise looks on the lenient side for Tom Symonds' gelding and he may keep The Wolf at bay. The veteran boasts a recent second at Stratford and another good account is forecast. Statuario may fare better on this switch back to chasing.

All the runners are potentially dangerous but the one with the least to prove is THE WOLF who has run solid races the last twice.

1st (1) (5/2 -67%)Sangiovese |
5/2(-67%) | (1) Sangiovese 5/2, Looked unenthusiastic beaten 3 1/4l off 95 over 2m6f at Fontwell last time where never nearer; good mark on hurdle form; should relish this longer trip; leading player Hard ride but was at least placed last time and this longer trip is worth a go. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (11/4 -57%)Getupearly |
11/4(-57%) | (5) Getupearly 11/4, Wide trip comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Fontwell last time where found little for pressure; generally out of form; cheekpieces first time; dropping in weights but enthusiasm concerns Has placed form but still a maiden under rules and last three runs very underwhelming. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (15/2 +32%)One Man Party |
15/2(+32%) | (6) One Man Party 15/2, Below par comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m2f at Warwick last time; failed to complete sole chase start; needs more Second off this mark over hurdles in Feb; hasn't built on that; back over fences. |

4th (4) (5/1 +9%)The Whistle Blower |
5/1(+9%) | (4) The Whistle Blower 5/1, Pulled up in a conditions race over 4m at Dingley latest; returning from long layoff; 3m should suit; modest hunter chaser; best watched Modest form in five runs over regulation fences, all of those hunter chases. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (7/2 +56%)Micro Millions |
7/2(+56%) | (2) Micro Millions 7/2, Made too much use of comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Warwick last time; longer trip a plus; good mark on hurdle form; dangerous if allowed to dictate at sharp track Winning pointer who is 0-5 over hurdles and 0-6 as a chaser; hasn't been great of late. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (18/1 +28%)Grand Sabre |
18/1(+28%) | (3) Grand Sabre 18/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Lingfield latest where ground too testing; not proven trip; off a short-break; bit to find on chase debut Poor hurdle form but showed something in a bumper and now tries fences; early days still. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although SANGIOVESE hasn't always looked the easiest of rides, today's step up in distance could be the making of him. The son of Champs Elysees may travel with more verve now faced with a stiffer test of stamina and any improvement on his latest third at Fontwell should make him tough to beat. The biggest threat may emerge from Getupearly, who looks the type to react to first-time cheekpieces. Micro Millions completes the shortlist.

All of these come with risks. It might pay to chance chase debutant GRAND SABRE who did show ability in a bumper.

7/1(-75%) | (5) The Boss Bear 7/1, 17,000 euros Doyen gelding; half-brother to Majestic Mel, useful at 16f; looks an unlikely winner on debut 17,000euros foal; third foal; dam unplaced in points/hurdles. |

66/1(+0%) | (3) Leonidass 66/1, Pulled up in a bumper over 2m2f at Fontwell latest; off a short-break; hard to recommend Had a wind op since last seen but he's shown nothing in his first two races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (5/2 -11%)Lor Express |
5/2(-11%) | (4) Lor Express 5/2, 50,000 euros It's Gino gelding; half-brother to Passing Well, useful at 19f; yard can get first time out winners in this sphere; of interest 50,000euros 3yo and the trainer has had a really good season with his bumper horses. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GLANCE AT MIDNIGHT offered more to work with when finishing fifth in a 16-runner affair at Doncaster in January. The five-year-old sets a clear standard and that race experience could prove crucial. Jamie Snowden has enjoyed a fantastic season with his bumper horses (10-37), so newcomer Lor Express must be monitored in the betting. Fellow debutant Havefunontherun also boasts a pedigree that can make a splash at this level.

It's not hard to risk one of the newcomers and HAVEFUNONTHERUN appeals as a likely type. Lor Express is next best.
Ths is the racecard key.
