Meaningful form is very thin on the ground under the conditions of this race and perhaps STICKTOTHEPLAN could be the answer. Cormac Farrell's charge hasn't run badly in three bumpers, particularly when eighth in a big field at the Punchestown Festival. Skyscraper wasn't a factor on slow ground at Naas but, prior to that, his mid-division finish in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown almost a year ago gives him a chance. Charlie's Gift kept on for seventh at this track last month and should improve upon that finish in this field.

STICKTO HE PLAN finished eighth of 22 on his most recent start two weeks ago and that could be enough to win here.

KAPTAIN BAY travelled well before winning by more than four lengths at Bellewstown last month. He relished the better ground there so this dry spell is very much in his favour. Prove Yourself is another recent winner to note. He enjoyed the undulations in Tramore, which bodes well for a spin around Kilbeggan. Malbay Madness showed an aptitude for this track when he took advantage of a handy mark in April. The handicapper has had a say, but he still looks one of the leading protagonists. Jhentong Enki has been off for almost a year, but is not without a chance on his handicap hurdle debut.

PROVE YOURSELF could still have more to give after winning a Tramore maiden last time and is a tentative selection.

COSTACURTA could progress from an opening runner-up berth at Fairyhouse in January. He was beaten a fair way, but the winner has since gone on to be successful in a Listed novices' hurdle at Perth so the form has depth. Couldntmakeitup stayed on well for a close third at Naas in December, which was a big step forward. He has earned a mark of 105 and is a big player. Kasanova's Dream kept on for third in Tramore so this extra distance could suit him well. Philip Rothwell runs three horses and his newcomer Damoso is worth a market check with Tiernan Power Roche up.

Providing he has suffered no lasting effects from a fall at Punchestown last November, RAPARREE CHAMP has good credentials for this

FINAL ORDERS is due to get the good ground he enjoys and could exploit his lower hurdles mark. His close second in the Ulster National at Downpatrick was endorsed when the winner finished fourth in the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse. Willie Mullins supplies Armed And Fabulous, who races off a light weight. She was fifth in a valuable handicap hurdle at Ayr and gets first-time cheekpieces. Plains Indian and prominent-racer Slane Hill are both capable of a bold show, while Yeats Star is another eyeing a share of the prize money.

SAINT LE FORT was a game winner at Cork on his penultimate start and the good ground and increase in trip will suit his chances.

100/1(-100%) | (2) Be Positive 100/1, Found trip too sharp fourth beaten 27l in a beginners chase chase at Down Royal latest; place claims with improvement likely up in trip Needs to jump a lot better than when a remote fourth at Down Royal early this month. |

|PU| (8) (150/1 -20%)Standing Orders |
150/1(-20%) | (8) Standing Orders 150/1, Down the field in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse most recent; generally out of form over hurdles; tongue-tie first time; not proven trip; all to do on chase debut Showed next to nothing in three maiden hurdle outings, tongue-tie on for chase debut. |

Point-to-point winner NASTYA is of interest on her first crack at racecourse fences. She was placed behind smart sorts in maiden hurdle company at Down Royal and Limerick before cruising home by 25 lengths over flights in Down Royal. Gavin Cromwell's Next Stop Paris switches to fences after being victorious over the smaller obstacles at Cork last weekend. On Lovers Walk has been placed in his last couple of chases so has to enter calculations. Ballybrittas and Beggars Rock will also have their supporters, while all of the reserves have a squeak if getting a run.

BALLYBRITTAS was probably not best suited by a shorter trip last time and is preferred to Nest Stop Paris and Nastya

33/1(-83%) | (2) Good As Hell 33/1, Unseated in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Tipperary latest when beaten; up in trip; on last winning mark; revival needed C&D winner last autumn; not at her best in four starts since and unseated last time. |

GENERAL CLERMONT wouldn't be winning out of turn having finished runner-up at Limerick and Tramore on his last two starts. His last victory in this discipline came over a similar trip at Wexford. Marv Michael showed plenty of ability when winning a beginners' chase by seven lengths last September. He wasn't at his best when next seen in a good race at Cheltenham, but there is scope for more with him. The handicapper has given The Dasher Conway a chance and he's noted too.

AEROS LUCK has looked onepaced over 2m in his last two beginners' chases and the step up in trip might help on handicap debut.

2nd (6) (5/2 -25%)Stede Bonnet |
5/2(-25%) | (6) Stede Bonnet 5/2, 75,000 euros Walk In The Park gelding; half-brother to Minella Foru, smart at 16f; top trainer; could get involved on debut E75,000 Goffs Arkle purchase last year; dam has a solid record at stud. |

4th (7) (7/1 +22%)Crohan Lady |
7/1(+22%) | (7) Crohan Lady 7/1, Beaten 8 1/2l in a Mares bumper over 2m2f at Tipperary last time; placed on debut prior; sound surface suits; on the premises Fine effort at 66-1 on bumper debut at Cork last month, failed to improve at Tipperary. |

12/1(+25%) | (1) Brownes Cross 12/1, Elusive Pimpernel gelding; half-brother to Cosmo Renfro, moderate at 19f; probably need this initial experience Fifth foal, half-brother to handicap hurdle winner Cosmo Renfro, good 7lb claimer. |

A return to better ground will help SOUTH OF KILLERIG's chance. He showed up nicely in a pair of maiden hurdles at Tramore and Wexford last summer, but didn't perform as well on soft ground in a bumper at Listowel in the autumn. Le Roi Du Livet could be lively on his debut for Philip Fenton. He is a full-brother to a horse who has been acquitting herself well in valuable hurdle races in France. Walk In The Park gelding Stede Bonnet is likely to be popular on debut for Gordon Elliott and Harry Swan.

Most appealing of those with is Minella Emperor, but he may cope with the Gordon Elliot-trained newcomer STEDE BONNET
Ths is the racecard key.
