150/1(+25%) | (6) Diamond Jimmy 150/1, No worthwhile form; yet to beat a rival home; hood first time; all to do Raced keenly when pulled-up on return; needs a transformation in a hood. |

The 118-rated SON OF ANARCHY gains marginal preference with his experience over obstacles. Gordon Elliott's charge won a maiden point by 15 lengths before running an encouraging race when fourth in a Punchestown maiden behind The Big Westerner on his hurdling debut. He's been disappointing since, but his recent second inspires more confidence and he can break his duck at the sixth attempt under Rules. Bumper winners Oneinthewell and Moon Eclipse have similar profiles as, after winning at Leopardstown on debut, neither figured in Listed company on their next start. The former has a great amount of potential based on his introduction when beating subsequent winner Eternal Echo. Moon Eclipse showed real promise, despite greenness, when coming from the rear to win on debut, but hasn't really progressed as perhaps expected and her recent hurdling debut offered minor encouragement. Cocovic took his form to a new level on his last start and may improve once more with the hood going back on.

After a fine run at Punchestown last time over 2m3f SON OF ANARCHY(nap) will be difficult to beat today if repeating that form.

|F| (3) (3/1 -20%)Cooke's Lass |
3/1(-20%) | (3) Cooke's Lass 3/1, Improved from debut up in trip second beaten a neck in a novice hurdle over 3m1f at Kilbeggan latest; debut form had knocks; stable first string on jockey bookings; cheekpieces first time; threat Won Wexford maiden over this trip and just denied over 3m in Kilbeggan novice; improving. |

REDWOOD QUEEN holds the aces if she returns in the same vein of form after unseating at the last when holding a two-length advantage over Grade 2 winner Beacon Edge at Wexford. She has since joined Cian Collins and has every chance of gaining her seventh success over hurdles. Gordon Elliott's duo seems to be headed by the unexposed Cooke's Lass, who scored on debut with market support behind her at Wexford. She finished second to the 127-rated Toad Hall on her latest start and can improve again. Emily Love has enjoyed a tremendous spell and, on the back of registering her third win in a row, she can continue to prosper, although this may be too competitive. Kilbuny Supersonic bolted up on her hurdling debut and it will be interesting to see how she has progressed from that.

The two most interesting are the stablemates Emily Love and COOKE'S LASS. The latter is open to more improvement on her third start

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (7/1 +68%)Vintage Gold |
7/1(+68%) | (11) Vintage Gold 7/1, Bit below form, possibly unsuited by drop back in trip down the field in a handicap hurdle at Listowel most recent; usually consistent; trainer in form; may need bit further Some decent runs in defeat last year but has to bounce back from a poor Listowel effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (14) (25/1 -108%)Minority Interest |
25/1(-108%) | (14) Minority Interest 25/1, Improved up in trip on handicap debut beaten 1 1/4l off 88 over 2m3f at Kilbeggan last time; returning from long layoff; probably bit to come Was 2nd almost a year ago at Kilbeggan; best watched unless the market says otherwise. |

A chance is taken on VINTAGE GOLD, who gained his only success here off 1lb lower. John Murphy, who loves to target this meeting, acquires the services of in-form conditional Eoin Staples for the mount. Blinkers are also put back on and this son of Highland Reel can have a big say if reproducing some of his best form. Give Him A Chance would have to come into the reckoning after his comfortable success in Kilbeggan, although he must contend with a 10lb rise. Corkbeg took a step back in the right direction when fourth at Clonmel and sneaks in at the bottom of the weights 4lb below his last winning mark. Doctor Confusion is of interest on his handicap bow and with a tongue-tie added, while General Clermont looks to expose a lenient hurdles figure.

Last year's C&D winner SWELLTIME ran an encouraging race over 2m1f at Wexford last time and could score again back up in trip.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (9/2 -29%)Shadow Paddy |
9/2(-29%) | (3) Shadow Paddy 9/2, Travelled, comfortably, improved up in trip landing a handicap by 5 1/2l off 103 over 2m3f at Limerick last time; bit to find in hat trick bid off revised mark Bids for hat-trick after beating Boston Rajj last time; up 11lb; testing ground an unknown. |

8/1(-60%) | (13) Storm Mahler 8/1, Too much to do having conceded first run, ran to form back from break beaten 2l off 102 at Tipperary last time; may ideally want some cut; unreliable Made error at last when beaten 2l by Queenofthelodge latest and may come on for that run. |

28/1(+15%) | (16) Gatehouse Boy 28/1, Travelled, comfortably, improved dropped in grade scored by 4l off 92 over 2m3f at Limerick penultimate start; below form up in grade, beaten very early, possibly something amiss 15th beaten 65l off 104 last time; needs to improve Won Limerick maiden hurdle but beaten a long way out when tailed off last time. |

SHADOW PADDY bids to record a hat-trick off 11lb higher than for his latest success around Limerick. Market support would provide more confidence and he is worth sticking with. Queenofthelodge scored going away at Tipperary and may still have a bit up her sleeve, even after another 8lb rise. Gordon Elliott's trio is headed by the hooded Penny Express and, under Jack Kennedy, any market support would be significant on his second start in handicaps, although he would need to take a step forward. First-time cheekpieces may bring Duke Silver back to some of his earlier handicap form, with Ballycashin another to consider.

Progressive Queenofthelodge had several of these in behind last time but STORM MAHLER may reverse form on slower ground here

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (15) (80/1 -142%)Meteor Storm |
80/1(-142%) | (15) Meteor Storm 80/1, Comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Cork last time; generally out of form; off a short-break; bit to find Minor promise latest but not obviously well treated from his opening mark. |

SAY IT SO really struck form last year, winning four times (two on the Flat/two over hurdles), including over C&D in October. The Eric McNamara-trained gelding hasn't shown too much since returning on the level, but he still looks nicely treated over timber. Calum Hogan is good value for his 7lb claim and market support would add to confidence. The Banger Doyle is rated significantly lower over hurdles than his chase mark and he had Star Official and Miss Maxfort behind when runner-up in a similar event at Tipperary. Whispering Hopes was still in contention when falling two out on her last hurdle start, while Granpa Ger and Ballyearl are others for the shortlist in an open affair.

It may be worth giving THE BANGER DOYLE another chance from a reduced hurdle mark after another near miss latest behind a nice prospect

5/1(0%) | (7) Le Vent D'ex 5/1, £15,000 Jeu St Eloi gelding; half-brother to Kiss Me D'Ex, very useful at 12f; top jockey booked; of interest on bumper debut Struggled in two points and unlikely to be a factor on rules debut. |

GALILEO SAND has shown plenty of promise in three bumper outings, including at the Punchestown Festival, and looks the one to beat. The selection also has the benefit of course experience having filled the runner-up spot behind Midnight Jet in May. Maskarvel beat all bar the odds-on Davy Crockett on debut at Punchestown last month, while Hopeful Hero had a number of these behind when finishing well into third at Tipperary. Finny Maguire is an interesting booking on Desmond George, while Tandy's Bridge is another newcomer to keep an eye on in the market.

This looks like a good opportunity for GALILEO SAND who is progressing with every run and can gain compensation for a C&D 2nd last time

5/2(-54%) | (2) Minella Supreme 5/2, 8l third in a bumper at Bellewstown most recent run; off a short-break; that form had knocks over hurdles; threat Promising rules debut last time and warrants respect in a very winnable bumper. |

80/1(-142%) | (7) Toor Idaho 80/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Tipperary latest; off a short-break; lot to find on bumper debut Pulled up when 66-1 for a maiden hurdle at Tipperary on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (13/2 -117%)Myfavourite Friend |
13/2(-117%) | (3) Myfavourite Friend 13/2, Milan gelding; half-brother to Much Too Dear, useful at 24f; tough enough task on debut Closely related to 2m7f winner; may want further; yard 1-25 in bumpers last 5 years. |

PALPATATE was ridden by Anna McGuinness when placed on her latest three starts and looks to have been found a decent opportunity to open her account. The selection had both Goodmancon and Texas Red over 10 lengths behind when runner-up up to hot favourite Love Me Tender at Tramore and has probably run to a similar level since at Kilbeggan and Roscommon. Minella Supreme is a half-brother to six winners, including the smart Morning Supreme, and showed promise when third at Bellewstown. The market may give a guide to the relative merits of newcomers Myfavourite Friend and Something Simple.

A chance is taken on MINELLA SUPREME for an outfit that do well in bumpers and there was enough to like about his rules debut last time
Ths is the racecard key.
