12/1(+64%) | (14) The Eye Of Tulla 12/1, Below par down the field in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Tipperary most recent; generally out of form; unproven on fast ground; bit to find and needs further Two chase wins came in 2023 but badly out of form since then. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (66/1 -100%)Mister Persistence |
66/1(-100%) | (8) Mister Persistence 66/1, Below par down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Cork most recent when went too fast; generally out of form; not proven trip; bit to find on chase debut Has been well beaten on all starts, hard to see him featuring. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (15) (18/1 +45%)Ardad Derek |

Rated 111 over hurdles, MINERS BRIDGE looks nicely treated off a mark of 95. The Mahler eight-year-old has plenty of experience over the larger obstacles and won a point-to-point in his early days. He also has some solid hurdles form to his name and was successful at Killarney last summer. Fifth on his latest start in handicap company at Gowran in October, he had some decent performers in behind. The Mick Winters-trained Crowsatedappletart is already a three-time course winner and with Darragh O'Keeffe aboard, he is sure to have plenty of supporters. Winters also saddles Aleish Lass, with the six-year-old of definite interest. The winner of this race in 2023, The Eye Of Tulla warrants respect too.

CROWSATEDAPPLETART is a course specialist and he brings a nice level of recent form to the table

1st (2) (3/1 -9%)Je T'ai Porte |
3/1(-9%) | (2) Je T'ai Porte 3/1, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in An Riocht Chase (Grade 3) at Killarney last time; enjoys making it; not proven trip; feasible threat on best form but big stamina concerns This is more her level after being faced with some daunting tasks, she is a live contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (16/1 +52%)Justabitofyours |
16/1(+52%) | (4) Justabitofyours 16/1, Fourth beaten 24l in a beginners chase chase over 2m5f at Killarney latest where outclassed; trainer in form; unproven on fast ground; difficult to fancy in this grade Her form would make her an unlikely winner here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (11/10 +76%)A Law Of Her Own |
11/10(+76%) | (1) A Law Of Her Own 11/10, Below par down the field in Handicap Chase (Listed) over 2m at Punchestown most recent; form of previous win franked in good handicap; up in trip; not ruled out Highly tried over fences, needs things to fall into place for her if she is going to win. |

Point-to-point winner LOOK TO THE WEST is taken to follow up on her recent Kilbeggan success. The Henry de Bromhead-trained seven-year-old hasn't done much wrong in her career to date and could really come into her own over the larger obstacles. Sandwiched between two poor efforts, Je T'ai Porte was a fine third at Cork. Out of her depth in the Mares' Chase at Cheltenham and again well beaten when last seen in Grade 3 company at Killarney, she will appreciate this drop in class. A Law Of Her Own should be able to make her presence felt too.

LOOK TO THE WEST was very impressive when winning a beginners' chase last month and will take a lot of stopping here

1st (3) (8/11 +55%)Intellotto |
8/11(+55%) | (3) Intellotto 8/11, Probably needed race 6 1/4l third in the Conditions Hurdle over 2m at Cork most recent run; up in trip; well treated on these terms on hurdle form; danger if ground not too fast Has some nice form on the Flat and over hurdles, may have enough to take this on chase bow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/8 +13%)Jigoro |
13/8(+13%) | (4) Jigoro 13/8, Ran to form second beaten 5 1/2l in the Conditions Hurdle over 2m at Cork latest where unable to wear down leader; longer trip should suit; may ideally want easier ground but big chance Disappointing on only previous try over fences but is generally consistent over hurdles. |

7/1(+13%) | (1) Ambitious Fellow 7/1, Raced freely down the field in Handicap Hurdle (Listed) over 3m at Punchestown most recent; should come on for the run; generally out of form; not proven trip; hard to recommend at present Has not shown himself to be a natural in previous five runs over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (66/1 +0%)Minella Sergeant |
66/1(+0%) | (5) Minella Sergeant 66/1, Did not get a clear run down the field in a bumper over 2m3f at Punchestown most recent; trainer in form; not proven trip; all to do on chase debut Beaten by large margins on all starts and hard to envision him winning. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (66/1 +0%)Star In The Park |
66/1(+0%) | (6) Star In The Park 66/1, Seemed to be on stiff mark down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m5f at Tramore most recent; not proven trip; all to do on chase debut and likely outclassed Tries fences for the first time but his hurdles form does not provide much encouragement. |

There was just three-quarters of a length between INTELLOTTO and Jigoro when they clashed over hurdles at Cork on Easter Sunday and, off level weights now, the Joseph O'Brien-trained former is taken to reverse the form. Returning from an eight-month absence at the Mallow venue, the Lope De Vega chestnut is an interesting recruit to fences. Beaten at 4/9 when starting off over the larger obstacles at Thurles in November, Jigoro is still sure to have plenty of supporters. Encanto Bruno should be able to make an impact in a contest like this.

b\INTELLOTTO\p is chosen to finish in front on chasing debut now that he has a run under his belt

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (2/1 +20%)Garde La Peche |
2/1(+20%) | (4) Garde La Peche 2/1, Bit too much to do fourth beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap chase at Kilbeggan latest having met trouble; should come on for the run; fast ground should suit; big chance Slowly coming back to the boil with staying-on fourth at Kilbeggan last month; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (11/2 +39%)U Asking Me |
11/2(+39%) | (8) U Asking Me 11/2, Below par well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Thurles latest; in good form prior; trip/ground ideal for chase debut; contender if fit after break In decent form over hurdles; point winner is respected on chase bow but might need the run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (13/2 -44%)Ahead Of The Posse |
13/2(-44%) | (3) Ahead Of The Posse 13/2, Probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Ballinrobe last time; not proven trip; unproven on fast ground; not out of it but enthusiasm concerns Never-nearer third off this mark at Downpatrick (2m2f, good) last August; has a chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (5) (13/2 -44%)West Clare |

3/1(+25%) | (7) Gustavo Goodway 3/1, Well treated at weights when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 86 over 2m6f at Down Royal last time appreciating the quick ground; usually held up; down in trip; place claims Races from 4lb higher back chasing but rider's claim should prove valuable; big chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (22/1 -10%)I A Connect |
22/1(-10%) | (1) I A Connect 22/1, Pulled up in the Howden Cross Country Chase over 3m at Punchestown latest; drop in trip a plus; unproven on fast ground; not one to rely on Struggled over the cross-country course at Punchestown on latest; others preferred. |

It's difficult to be overly confident about any of these. The winner of a point-to-point and subsequently sold for 170,000 pounds, GARDE LA PECHE is the selection. A solid sixth of 17 on her penultimate start at Leopardstown over Christmas, she finished a never-nearer fourth on her most recent outing at Kilbeggan. Successful over hurdles when last seen at Listowel and Down Royal respectively, West Clare and Gustavo Goodway should also go well.

GUSTAVO GOODWAY (nap) finally got off the mark over hurdles at Down Royal last month and he looks well treated back over fences

12/1(-33%) | (2) Boston Rover 12/1, Ran to form 10l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Navan most recent run; step up in trip a plus; unproven on fast ground; goes chasing early in career; may just need this back from break Maiden hurdler hails from top yard and could improve for switch to chasing. |

|PU| (4) (15/2 +25%)Mister Beeton |
15/2(+25%) | (4) Mister Beeton 15/2, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Punchestown most recent; in good form prior; step up in trip a plus; not out of it Good run behind subsequent dual Grade 1 winner Croke Park in Fairyhouse beginners' in Nov'. |

ASPUROFTHEMOMENT has built up a good body of work ahead of his first crack at racecourse fences. This point-to-point winner has landed handicap hurdles the last twice and enjoyed a step up in trip at Bellewstown. Grooveykindoflove represents a red-hot stable and has shown more than enough over hurdles to suggest she can go well on her chasing debut. There was a lot to like about the way Iceberg Theory came home for second on his chasing bow at Wexford in March.

A tricky beginners' chase but perhaps GROOVEYKINDOFLOVE can find the necessary improvement on her chase debut under Darragh O'Keeffe

TIPPIN AND TAPPIN could be well treated off 87. The six-year-old Getaway gelding went off 2/5 favourite for a point-to-point at Stowlin recently and delivered by 20 lengths. There are plenty of winners in his pedigree and the in-form Darragh O'Keeffe has been booked. Cloughroe was only collared in the closing stages when runner-up at Killarney, so has to be considered, while Stellar Symphony is also noted.

KADYS DIRHA was strong in the betting at Tipperary last week and last summer's form brings the mare right into the picture

SAM MAGEE is a player on his return to action with Ethan O'Sullivan claiming 7lb. He won over fences on his penultimate outing at Fairyhouse and has gone well fresh before. A strong test of stamina has seen Antrim Coast to good effect, notably when runner-up over hurdles at Cheltenham and when winning a hurdle contest at Wexford almost a year ago. The Gradual Slope's fifth place in the Killarney National was a good effort and he makes some appeal as well.

SAM MAGEE has the class to defy top weight. The form of his last two handicap starts looks very strong in the context of this race
Ths is the racecard key.
