KAISER BALL can make a winning debut over hurdles for his new trainer. Formerly in the care of Willie Mullins, the five-year-old made an impressive start to his career when easily landing a Fairyhouse bumper under this jockey back in February. With that race having been well boosted by the runner-up subsequently, it would be disappointing if the son of Nom De D'La didn't maintain his unbeaten record. A bumper winner at this venue, the Tom Cooper-trained Shuttle Diplomacy went on to finish third in the Champion Bumper last March. However, having failed to get competitive over hurdles to date, he will need to show improvement. Unflinching has to be of definite interest having won a point-to-point and a NH Flat race at Fairyhouse.

Impressive bumper winner KAISER BALL is related to some capable jumpers and is chosen to score on hurdling debut

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (150/1 +0%)Moorish Castle |
150/1(+0%) | (10) Moorish Castle 150/1, Too green to show much on debut when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan last time; likely to need more time. Tailed off in a bumper here and a 2m3f maiden at Kilbeggan. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (14) (28/1 +30%)Queen O'droad |
28/1(+30%) | (14) Queen O'droad 28/1, Lauro mare. Dam showed only modest form in a bumper so best watched starting out over hurdles. First foal; dam well held in bumper but related to winning jumpers; best watched on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (13/2 -44%)Panjandrum |
13/2(-44%) | (2) Panjandrum 13/2, Ran to form when stepped up in grade, lacking the pace of the winner when second beaten 11l in the Future Champions Flat Race (Listed) at Navan last time; bumper winner previously; point win suggests he'll relish this step up in trip on hurdle debut; a likely alternative. Well beaten into second in last bumper but this longer trip looks sure to benefit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (100/1 -100%)Classic Tuxedo |
100/1(-100%) | (4) Classic Tuxedo 100/1, Ask gelding wearing a tongue-tie for the first time. First foal; dam placed French 2m2f hurdle, half-sister to the useful jumper Karl Philippe. |

300/1(-50%) | (13) Nothing Da Now 300/1, Failed to make any impact from off the pace when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Naas last time; yet to show any ability. Has no form claims after heavy defeats in two bumpers and as many maidens. |

Third in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last time, KING'S BUCKS should open his account here. A lightly-raced five-year-old, the Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding won his only point-to-point start before joining current connections. Runner-up on his bumper debut at Gowran Park in March, he possibly needed the outing when a fair fourth on his hurdling debut at Galway in October. Second in a Listed bumper at Navan recently, Panjandrum had earlier won at Clonmel on his stable debut. A point-to-point winner, he has the potential to make up into a decent hurdler. Dual bumper winner Minella Emperor improved on his hurdling debut when a promising fourth at Clonmel earlier this month.

It's difficult to get away from KING'S BUCKS who ran so well in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last month.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Following a hugely impressive win at Navan on his debut over fences, FINAL DEMAND can make it two from two. A dual Grade 1 winner over hurdles last season, the Willie Mullins-trained six-year-old is already viewed by many as one of the Irish bankers for the Cheltenham Festival and it will be disappointing if he can't provide the champion trainer with a third straight win in this race. Stablemate Jimmy Du Seuil rates the biggest danger. Having lifted the Coral Cup at Cheltenham last season, the son of Galiway made the perfect start to life over fences at Fairyhouse last month. Gold Dancer can make it a clean sweep for Mullins.

It's obviously hard to oppose FINAL DEMAND after his impressive start over fences at Navan but Jimmy Du Seuil can put it up to him

4/1(+75%) | (9) Uncle Pat 4/1, Made mistakes and found the ground too testing when comfortably held in a beginners' chase at Navan last time; effective from 2 3/4m to 3m but this trip may prove on the sharp side. Won useful Punchestown h'cap on seasonal debut; Millar on board so effectively only up 3lb. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

CONYERS HILL has run well in defeat in some smart contests and is suited by soft ground and this distance. Placed four times in similar Listed races, he finished sixth at the Cheltenham Festival last term and, last month, finished a useful fourth in that course's prestigious Paddy Power Gold Cup. Dee Capo has top weight and is 8lb higher than when scoring at Punchestown last month, although his rider claims 5lb and he, too, is suited by conditions. The five-year-old Karia Des Blaises is rated just 121 over hurdles, but has been running to a higher level recently over fences and is interesting on her handicap debut.

Having shaped several times like he has a nice prize over fences in him, CONYERS HILL is taken to score after a good run at Cheltenham

|PU| (4) (10/1 -11%)Jeriko De Baune |
10/1(-11%) | (4) Jeriko De Baune 10/1, Built on a recent return to form when landing a handicap by 3/4l off an 8lb lower mark at Clonmel; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, suited by plenty of cut, can race lazily but back in form and likely to enjoy this stiffer track. Recent Clonmel winner; he's up the weights here and can be inconsistent. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (20/1 +0%)The Gradual Slope |
20/1(+0%) | (8) The Gradual Slope 20/1, Returned to form down in class off a reduced mark when third, beaten 11l, in a handicap chase at Thurles most recently; not without a chance. His third in a Thurles handicap chase last week was a return to form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (14) (33/1 -136%)Meehall |
33/1(-136%) | (14) Meehall 33/1, Made too much use of when well beaten in a handicap hurdle here last time; blinkers first time and returns from a short break; stays 3m, acts on any ground and prefers to front-run though mark looks stiff over hurdles. Blinkers added after a poor last run but he has the form to feature. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (15) (40/1 -82%)Duffys Getaway |
40/1(-82%) | (15) Duffys Getaway 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Navan last time; effective at 3m and suited by testing ground but currently out of form over hurdles and fences. Chase career hasn't gone to plan and was also well beaten over hurdles on his reappearance. |

ROC MY HAARTH ran a cracker when beating all bar Hees Dynamite here last month and may go one better. The pair drew clear of the remainder, and the form received a boost with third-placed Milanaway subsequently winning at Punchestown. Grimaud takes a drop in class after staying on into fourth behind stablemate Gringo D'aubrelle in a valuable 3m1f handicap at Navan, while any market move for course winner Thegraveyardbookie would be interesting. Quest With Speed caused a 40/1 shock when beating Collaborative over 2m4f at Navan a fortnight ago, and Jeriko De Baune is another to consider.

Topweight GRIMAUD should go well with this an easier race than the one he contested at Navan last time and Carl Millar claims 7lb.

Second reserve; back to form when finishing strongly for fourth at Cork (2m4f). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (3/1 +54%)Gaelic Des Chastys |
3/1(+54%) | (6) Gaelic Des Chastys 3/1, From a yard that has won two of the last ten renewals; ran a bit below form when 22l third in a Limerick handicap hurdle last time; effective at 2 1/2m on any ground; well treated on chase form and consistent in that sphere. Latest race here wasn't run to suit; consistent gelding who should be involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

40/1(-60%) | (18) Likable Chancer 40/1, Did plenty early when well beaten in a Tramore handicap chase last time. Inconsistent over hurdles and fences; up against it. Has struggled over fences since winning at Tramore in August; 0-29 over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (12/1 -100%)Great Island |

7/2(+75%) | (12) One Horse Army 7/2, Outpaced and unsuited by the drop in trip when down the field in a Clonmel handicap hurdle; wants 3m or further and handles soft ground; on a good mark based on chase form. Both wins have been over fences and he's rated much lower over hurdles for a reason. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (9/1 -64%)Warmer Days Ahead |
9/1(-64%) | (1) Warmer Days Ahead 9/1, Had too much to do behind the all-the-way winner but ran to form back from a break when 9 1/2l third in a Punchestown handicap hurdle; trainer in form; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m on soft or good ground; steadily progressive. 2m4f handicap winner; beaten just under 10l after an absence at Punchestown (3m). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (22/1 +0%)Drumcliff Bay |
22/1(+0%) | (8) Drumcliff Bay 22/1, Needed the run and was made too much use of when down the field in a Thurles handicap hurdle; effective around 2 1/2m; needs to prove ability remains after a long layoff. This trip should be a better fit than 2m last time but others have more compelling claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (7/1 +0%)Rhythmic Tune |
7/1(+0%) | (2) Rhythmic Tune 7/1, Improved when stepped up in trip to win by 2l off a 7lb lower mark here last time; off a short break; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and may get further on yielding or good ground; progressive and a big player if conditions suit. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (16/1 +52%)Brown Boots |
16/1(+52%) | (10) Brown Boots 16/1, Outpaced and below form on handicap debut but saw out the trip well when comfortably held at Fairyhouse; returning from a long layoff; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on ground with cut; needs to improve to get off the mark. Absent since beaten 25l into sixth at Fairyhouse in February; will need more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (5) (8/1 -14%)Opposite Ends |
8/1(-14%) | (5) Opposite Ends 8/1, Outpaced and never put into the race when well held in a Thurles handicap hurdle; looked in need of a stiffer test; effective around 2m on good ground; more to come when stepped up in trip. Well held on handicap debut; he's unexposed at this trip and he should stay. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (16/1 0%)Aine's Lad |
16/1(0%) | (4) Aine's Lad 16/1, Finished down the field in a Punchestown handicap hurdle last time; returning from a long layoff; usually held up and needs to show more to feature. Some maiden promise but has offered little in handicaps; absent since January. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (25/1 -25%)Cooltubrid Eva |
25/1(-25%) | (7) Cooltubrid Eva 25/1, Outpaced and looked in need of a stiffer test when down the field in a Clonmel handicap hurdle; effective at 2 1/2m and suited by testing ground; inconsistent maiden. Record of 0-10 over hurdles and she's not progressing in handicaps over varying distances. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(+44%) | (17) Winter Carnival 14/1, Forced wide and outpaced when well beaten in a Clonmel handicap hurdle; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and suited by testing ground; inconsistent and may benefit from a return to further. Exposed 18-race maiden over hurdles who was behind Wakey Wakey Man at Clonmel. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (11) (40/1 -60%)Danesfort Mayfly |
40/1(-60%) | (11) Danesfort Mayfly 40/1, Needed the run when down the field in a Clonmel handicap hurdle; effective at 2m5f and prefers soft ground; current mark demands improvement. Hard to trust having been tailed off at Clonmel after a year off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (33/1 -65%)Something Simple |
33/1(-65%) | (13) Something Simple 33/1, Pulled up in a Taunton handicap hurdle last time; effective between 2m1f and 2m4f on soft or good ground; may do better in handicaps. Mostly well beaten in all races and that includes his handicap debut when sent to Taunton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (16) (33/1 -65%)Fortunate Outcome |
33/1(-65%) | (16) Fortunate Outcome 33/1, Pulled up in a Punchestown handicap hurdle last time; effective around 2m2f on heavy ground; yet to show much form. Tailed off and pulled up in her two handicaps, on heavy over 2m5f/3m; hard to make a case. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (14) (50/1 -52%)Clever Court |
50/1(-52%) | (14) Clever Court 50/1, Had too much to do and needed the run when down the field in a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m; yet to prove competitive off this mark. Weak form in maidens and again on handicap debut (2m4f) when unfancied at 40-1. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (15) (50/1 +0%)Annie Button |
50/1(+0%) | (15) Annie Button 50/1, Ran to form but finished down the field in a Clonmel maiden hurdle; acts on soft ground; likely suited to low-grade handicaps and yet to prove competitive even at this level. Has shown no worthwhile form in her maidens so lots to prove on this handicap debut. |

RHYTHMIC TUNE seemed to appreciate cut in the ground when opening his account here in October and may follow up off a 7lb higher mark. The Mark Molloy-trained gelding beat Gaelic Des Chastys by two lengths and hopefully he can handle this more testing surface. Great Island has recorded both career wins on heavy ground and had a couple of these rivals behind when successful at Clonmel last time, while Warmer Days Ahead won over a similar trip at Roscommon last year and made a pleasing return after a lengthy absence when third at Punchestown earlier this month. Wakey Wakey Man and Opposite Ends are others to note.

This is wide open. WAKEY WAKEY MAN came from a long way behind to hit the frame at Clonmel and he's open to improvement.

2nd (6) (5/2 -25%)Looking For Eight |
5/2(-25%) | (6) Looking For Eight 5/2, Muhtathir gelding; half-brother to Sortudo, very useful at 16f for this yard; top trainer; likely type. Muhtathir gelding is half-brother to yard's bumper/useful 2m hurdle winner Sortudo. |

3rd (10) (4/1 +71%)Timesareachanging |
4/1(+71%) | (10) Timesareachanging 4/1, Won a maiden point at Carrigarostig by 3/4l last time. Absent for a very lengthy period but yard can get them ready first time so worth a market check. Mahler gelding won a three-runner soft-ground point almost two years ago; rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (10/1 +0%)Haveanothertry |
10/1(+0%) | (3) Haveanothertry 10/1, Soldier Of Fortune gelding; half-brother to Hello Jack, moderate at 16f; top trainer. Brother to point winner Fortunes Hill out of a bumper winner; second runner for Elliott. |

33/1(+34%) | (9) Tazman Dan 33/1, Dansant gelding; full-brother to Feddans, useful from 16f to 19f; faces a tough enough task on debut. Brother to bumper/hurdle winner Feddans; family of smart 2m chaser Ashley Brook. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (100/1 -100%)Puntabeg Lad |
100/1(-100%) | (7) Puntabeg Lad 100/1, Alkaadhem gelding; half-brother to Snow Punt, smart from 16f to 24f; faces a tough enough task on debut. Half-brother to point winner Snow Punt; grandam is tough 2m-3m1f chase winner Propunt. |

ROJUCO MAC has shown plenty of promise on both starts and gets the vote. The Charles Byrnes-trained gelding filled third spot behind the odds-on Gameofinches on debut at Punchestown back in February and only went down by half a length to Ballyfad when returning to that venue last month. Burning Ability has also been placed on his latest two bumper outings, including when staying on into third behind Tiktok Casey at Naas, while point-to-point winner Detroit Maverick may prove the pick of Gordon Elliott's two runners. Willie and Patrick Mullins team up with Looking For Eight, who is a Muhtathir half-brother to promising stablemate Sortudo.

Having gone close against this week's Leopardstown winner Ballyfad, ROJUCO MAC can put his experience to good use and go one better
Ths is the racecard key.
