4/6(+27%) | (4) Profit Street 4/6, Improved, well on top late landing a handicap by 4l off a 5lb lower mark here last time; trainer in form; effective 6/7f, acts on a sound surface; back in form, can go well again despite penalty. Strong form for the grade last month, winning twice over C&D; 5lb well in under penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (10/1 +9%)Poetic Force |
10/1(+9%) | (2) Poetic Force 10/1, Not the strongest ride and won cosily off a break landing a handicap by a neck off a 2lb lower mark at Wolverhampton last time; suited by 7/8f, acts on a sound surface, Brighton specialist; can rate a little more highly than latest with blinkers now tried. 18th win of his long career at Wolverhampton last month; form franked; new headgear today. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (14/1 -180%)Dandy Khan |
14/1(-180%) | (1) Dandy Khan 14/1, Improved, strong at finish when landing a handicap by a length off a 5lb lower mark here last time; effective 7/8f, acts well on AW; penalty asks more of her. Five course wins this winter; penalty for Saturday's snug success; looks a key player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (25/1 -39%)Dakota Power |
25/1(-39%) | (3) Dakota Power 25/1, Below form up in trip when beaten 4l off a 3lb higher mark here last time; effective around 7f, acts on soft, good and AW; drop in trip should suit. Drops in class today but others arrive in better form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Recent winners Profit Street and Dandy Khan both merit plenty of respect but their penalties make this much more demanding. As a result, preference is for AGE OF TIME, who was only beaten a neck into second at Newcastle last week and he is able to race off the same mark. Poetic Force is another to consider in first-time blinkers.

Dandy Khan and Age Of Time should be in the thick of it but PROFIT STREET can record his third C&D win of the year.

1st (7) (11/10 +12%)Folk Pageant |
11/10(+12%) | (7) Folk Pageant 11/10, Promising debut, good attitude when runner-up beaten 2l in a novice at Ayr only start; wide draw; effective at 7f on good to soft; the one to beat on form assuming ready to roll on return. Second to subsequent Group 3 winner on debut last July; sets standard and can do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (9/4 +59%)Al Maslool |
9/4(+59%) | (2) Al Maslool 9/4, Decent effort without being given a hard time on debut when beaten 10l in a maiden here; seems effective at 8f, acts on AW; more to come for top yard. Promise amidst inexperience over C&D 12 days ago; could prove a different proposition here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (28/1 +15%)Goldfinder |
28/1(+15%) | (3) Goldfinder 28/1, Probably improved a bit second start when fourth beaten 9l in a maiden at Kempton latest; seems effective at 8f on AW; tall gelding, probably more to come. Modest form in two 1m Polytrack maidens this year; handicaps more suitable after this. |

11/1(-120%) | (6) Floating Market 11/1, Yard won this last year; Bangkok filly; half-sister to City Saint, fair at 11f; dam smart at 14f; top trainer in form and interesting to see which way this one goes in the betting in relation to stablemate. Dam a well-related winner (1m to 2m); one of two newcomers for connections; betting useful. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (22/1 -238%)Thunder Goddess |
22/1(-238%) | (8) Thunder Goddess 22/1, Yard won this last year; Lightning Spear filly; half-sister to Whimsy, useful from 10f to 12f; dam useful at 12f; top trainer in form and worth a market check on debut. Her four siblings have all been successful but middle distances will suit better in time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (6/1 +25%)Lakota Chief |
6/1(+25%) | (4) Lakota Chief 6/1, Ran about to debut form when fourth beaten 6 1/4l in a novice at Newcastle latest; stays 8f, acts on AW; big, strong sort, may yet improve. Green on debut but failed to build on it a month later (both Newcastle; 7f/1m); needs more. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FOLK PAGEANT displayed plenty of promise when second on her debut over 7f at Ayr in July. Given that the winner of that contest went on to strike at Group 3 level, this daughter of Masar merits the utmost respect on her return to action. Any market support for Constant Star would have to be noted, while Lakota Chief and Al Maslool are next best.

Folk Pageant is the one to beat but she's been off since July and AL MASLOOL could be the answer with his debut effort behind him.

1st (3) (4/1 +38%)Mick's Spirit |
4/1(+38%) | (3) Mick's Spirit 4/1, Below form when sixth beaten 5l off 68 last time, 1lb lower here; suited by 5f, acts on sound surface; bounce back needed. Beat two of these opponents over C&D in January; less good twice since; can't rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/2 +69%)Diamond Dreamer |
5/2(+69%) | (4) Diamond Dreamer 5/2, Ran to form up in trip when beaten 2 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective at 5/6f, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; drop in trip not certain to suit. On a good mark and this could set up for him but others appeal more all the same. |

Dominated a 5f handicap at Wolverhampton last week; better drawn here; 3lb well in; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (17/2 +6%)Hello Luna |
17/2(+6%) | (5) Hello Luna 17/2, Bit below form when beaten 3l off a 1lb higher mark at Chelmsford last time; effective 5/6f, acts on a sound surface; bounce back needed. Good C&D run in January but less good at Chelmsford last time; now steps up in class. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BEAUMADIER had plenty in hand when making all at Wolverhampton last week and a 5lb penalty for that success may not be enough to stop him from following up here. Gogo Yubari might still be a touch high in the ratings, so Hello Luna could prove to be the main threat following a couple of encouraging efforts in defeat of late.

The early skirmishes will be crucial and MICK'S SPIRIT is marginally preferred to last week's runaway winner Beaumadier.

Conditions ideal and didn't have the run of the race here last time; still on the upgrade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (12/1 -20%)Lequinto |
12/1(-20%) | (4) Lequinto 12/1, Ran to form when beaten 3 1/2l off a 2lb higher mark at Wolverhampton last time; top course trainer; effective 5/6f, acts on any, likes it fast; inconsistent recently and could be suited by drop to 5f. The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FIDELIUS has been in fine fettle over the winter months, with the five-year-old scoring over C&D two starts ago. Robert Cowell's gelding has since filled the runner-up spot at Chelmsford and he edges the vote in what looks a competitive event on paper. Toolatetonegotiate was third behind the selection here and has to enter the reckoning, while The Thames Boatman is respected in his bid for a fifth course victory.

Fidelius arrives in top form but THE THAMES BOATMAN (nap) may be the one to be with this time.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (17/2 -143%)Bergamo Gold |

(7) (33/1 -83%)Sunday Sinatra |
33/1(-83%) | (7) Sunday Sinatra 33/1, Cheekpieces tried but made too much use of when well beaten in a handicap at Newcastle latest; stays 10f off a steady pace, acts on AW; reasonable chance will bounce back. Ran OK on penultimate start but failed to back it up one month later; others look safer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MONTU improved for stepping up in trip when filling the runner-up spot at Wolverhampton last week and arrives here 2lb well-in compared to future events. This appears to be an excellent opportunity for him to shed the maiden tag. Bergamo Gold forced a dead-heat for second at Chelmsford and may benefit from the extra couple of furlongs, while handicap debutant Bradbury heads the remainder.

Montu and Private Project can do better yet but BRADBURY appeals as a likely improver and he can make a winning handicap debut.

125/1(-150%) | (8) Back Before Dark 125/1, Below form well beaten in a classified race here latest; suited by 5/6f, acts on any; bounce back needed and big stamina concerns. Ended her time with Grant Tuer below par and last for new yard over C&D eight days ago. |

POTTERS PRINCE was not disgraced when filling fifth place on his handicap debut over 7f at Chelmsford in January and this step up in trip could bring about the improvement required to score. Villalobos is now 1lb lower than when fourth at Kempton last time and he should not be underestimated, while Danehill Star is the pick of the remainder.

Stephanie Cassidy's C&D scorer SO CHIC could prove the answer here having hinted at a revival when fifth at Wolverhampton last time out

GALAXY WONDER has run well in defeat on all three starts since sharing the spoils at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day and his latest second at the same venue suggests that he could be hard to beat in a race of this nature. Eutropia has filled third place three times this year already and is likely to be in the mix once again. Masqool is also noted.

Tony Carroll holds a strong hand and the return of headgear can see MASQOOL get the better of stablemate Galaxy Wonder.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
