5/1(+17%) | (5) One Million Dreams 5/1, Ran to form beaten 1/2l off 59 over 10f at Chepstow last time; step up in trip a plus; fair mark on AW form; unproven on fast ground; risky 0-5 on the Flat but both handicap runs this spring were encouraging; might be the answer. |

2nd (6) (11/4 +17%)Irezumi |
11/4(+17%) | (6) Irezumi 11/4, Won a classified race here over 12f by 4 1/2l last time; well treated back in a handicap; consistent; up in trip; contender Ready win in basement-grade classified here a week ago but the form looks dubious. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (6/4 +40%)Laser Focus |
6/4(+40%) | (2) Laser Focus 6/4, Ideally suited by trip when scored by 2 1/2l off 55 over 12f at Beverley three starts back; second beaten 1 1/4l off 61 last time where let down by slow start in small field; trainer in form; up in trip; danger 1m4f winner off much reduced mark last month; still unexposed over this sort of trip. |

9/1(+44%) | (3) Tango Sunset 9/1, Raced freely well beaten in a handicap over 2m here latest; should come on for that; down in trip; significant jockey booking; good mark on AW form; unproven on fast ground; in the mix if handling it Placed on AW when upped to 2m in November; returned with a poor run last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (5/1 -25%)Pigeon House |
5/1(-25%) | (1) Pigeon House 5/1, Comfortably held in a conditions race over 2m3f at Dieppe last time; usually consistent in both codes; down in trip; unproven on fast ground; off a short-break; very good mark on hurdles form; could prove tough to catch with easy lead possible Well beaten over hurdles this month but came second off this mark on latest Flat start. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

IREZUMI has long shaped as though going up to this distance may suit and he sets the standard on the back of a comfortable success in a classified event over the extended 1m3f here. A winner at Wolverhampton in April before some respectable efforts since, Educate is likely to be thereabouts, as is Laser Focus, who was runner-up here last week and stays well.

Preference is for ONE MILLION DREAMS, who has performed well in both his Flat handicaps and is not yet fully exposed in this sphere.

3/1(+14%) | (6) River Alwen 3/1, Raced freely beaten 1 1/2l off 54 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; consistent; acts on fast ground; step up in trip a plus; in the mix Running well in defeat on AW and every chance this 3-time turf winner will be thereabouts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/1 +9%)Tasmanian Legend |
5/1(+9%) | (4) Tasmanian Legend 5/1, Well backed when landing a handicap by a nose off 57 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; better form on AW; may not relish fast ground; remains fairly treated on old form; risky Won on Wolverhampton AW last month; his 0-6 record on turf isn't particularly convincing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (16/1 -100%)Danehill Star |
16/1(-100%) | (5) Danehill Star 16/1, Bit in hand scored by 2 1/2l off 54 over 9f at Wolverhampton penultimate start; fifth beaten 7l off 60 last time; good strike rate on AW; well treated on that form; step back up in trip a plus; unproven on fast ground; contender if coping with it Something to prove on turf but back in a visor today, in which he's 2-2. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (11/10 +27%)Voix De Bocelli |
11/10(+27%) | (3) Voix De Bocelli 11/10, Landed a handicap by 3/4l off 58 at Brighton last time; that form franked; significant jockey booking; thriving since returning from hurdling; fast ground suits; can follow up Two wins from his last three starts and the latest form has been franked; strong claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (11/1 -69%)Gladiadora |
11/1(-69%) | (2) Gladiadora 11/1, Slowly away beaten 3l off 65 over 8f at Bath last time; not beaten all that far that day; trainer in form; up in trip; good mark on maiden form; interesting at a price Stayed on when close eighth of nine over 1m on handicap debut and this new trip could suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (11/1 +31%)Countess Candy |
11/1(+31%) | (1) Countess Candy 11/1, Down the field in a handicap over 9f at Goodwood most recent where went too fast; second run after wind op; inconsistent; up in trip; outside chance Good 3rd on AW here in April but tailed off at Goodwood since and it's hard to be hopeful. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A winner of two of his last three, including last time out at Brighton, VOIX DE BOCELLI continues to go from strength to strength and a mark of 61 still looks manageable for the son of Charm Spirit. Returning to winning ways with a determined success over slightly shorter at Wolverhampton last time out, Tasmanian Legend is a player, along with River Alwen, who has been knocking on the door.

Having won twice at Brighton this year, including last time, VOIX DE BOCELLI is the selection ahead of the unexposed Gladiadora.

1st (3) (11/4 +50%)Meblesh |
11/4(+50%) | (3) Meblesh 11/4, Well beaten in a handicap over 8f at Newmarket (July) latest; up in trip; unproven on fast ground; looking bit flattered by maiden win; must bounce back Soundly beaten at 16-1 latest start (1m, good to firm); probably needs overall improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (6/1 -20%)Big Sip |
6/1(-20%) | (1) Big Sip 6/1, Beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap over 8f at Newmarket last time; visor first time; top course trainer; up in trip; unproven on fast ground; off a short-break; probably bit flattered by maiden win but danger Lost his form on last two outings; first-time visor needs a powerful response. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (8/15 -33%)Hot Dancer |
8/15(-33%) | (2) Hot Dancer 8/15, Well backed when landing a handicap by 1/2l off 76 over 10f at Redcar last time showing willing attitude; trainer in form; down in trip; tough to oppose in hat trick bid Upped to 1m2f for wins at Chelmsford (AW) and Redcar (good to firm) on last two outings. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Similar to his stable, HOT DANCER is in top form at present and dropping slightly in trip should not inconvenience as he looks to land the hat-trick off 5lb higher than when scoring at Redcar recently. Big Sip may have disappointed on his last two outings, but a return to Lingfield is a big plus having scored over 1m on the all-weather here in March. An unexposed sort who has yet to put it together in handicaps, Meblesh can pick up the pieces if the aforementioned pair falter.

It looks an open goal for the notably progressive HOT DANCER who is on a hat-trick. Meblesh is preferred to Big Sip for second.

1/4(+53%) | (1) India Love 1/4, Raced freely when a neck winner in a novice at York on debut; enjoys fast ground; long way clear on ratings; can defy penalty Won on debut at York a fortnight ago and the one to beat today despite carrying penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (11/1 +0%)Sara Moon |
11/1(+0%) | (4) Sara Moon 11/1, In need of the experience beaten 9l in a novice over 6f at Windsor on debut; that good form; trainer in form; back in trip; not ruled out at big odds Plenty of improvement needed on second start but there's potential in her pedigree. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (8/1 -33%)Palmeira |
8/1(-33%) | (3) Palmeira 8/1, Well backed fourth beaten 2l in a novice at Bath latest; acts on fast ground; consistent in short career; needs to improve Has made the frame on two of her three starts; needs a bigger run but she's not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (9/1 -125%)Mad Unicorn |
9/1(-125%) | (2) Mad Unicorn 9/1, 2 May; No Nay Never filly; half-sister to Fox Avatar, useful at 10f; dam very smart at 5f at 2yo; top course trainer; yard in good form and can get them ready first time; of interest Stable's 2yos are going well and she could have a part to play on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (66/1 +0%)Storm Terri |
66/1(+0%) | (5) Storm Terri 66/1, Slowly away well beaten in a maiden over 6f at Goodwood only start; back in trip; difficult to fancy Tailed off at 80-1 on debut at Goodwood (6f, good) a fortnight ago; best watched for now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

INDIA LOVE accounted for a useful field when making a winning debut at York a couple of weeks ago and the daughter of Havana Grey merits the utmost respect on the back of that performance, despite having to carry a 4lb penalty. Palmeira could prove to be the main threat following a promising fourth at Bath, while any market support for Mad Unicorn would have to be noted.

Having beaten a very solid yardstick to win on her recent debut at York, INDIA LOVE can defy a penalty and make it 2-2.

1st (7) (13/2 -44%)Diomed Duke |
13/2(-44%) | (7) Diomed Duke 13/2, Looked to want further beaten 5l in a handicap at Yarmouth last time; inconsistent; acts on fast ground; trainer in form; not proven trip; dangerous if allowed to dictate Shaped well on seasonal debut; player if that run has brought him on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (13/2 +19%)Abate |
13/2(+19%) | (1) Abate 13/2, Below par beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap at Ripon last time; usually consistent; off a short-break; on long losing run but mark easing; in the mix Not the force of old but may have been perked up by a recent stable switch. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (5/2 +44%)Toolatetonegotiate |
5/2(+44%) | (9) Toolatetonegotiate 5/2, Well backed beaten 1l off 63 at Windsor last time; tongue-tie first time; consistent but frustrating; acts on fast ground; should be thereabouts 0-14 but scores high marks for consistency and is suited by this C&D; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (85/40 +70%)Catch Cunningham |
85/40(+70%) | (4) Catch Cunningham 85/40, Below par beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Thirsk last time; back below last winning mark; acts on fast ground; contender though strike rate a worry Needs to better last couple of efforts but went close over C&D in May; can't rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (9/2 +40%)Pont Neuf |
9/2(+40%) | (8) Pont Neuf 9/2, Ran to form beaten 4l off 71 at Goodwood last time; has hinted at revival of late; mark tumbling; acts on fast ground; very interesting Placed in new blinkers this month and continues to slide down the weights; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (16/1 -14%)Rock Hunter |
16/1(-14%) | (5) Rock Hunter 16/1, Raced freely well beaten in a handicap over 6f at Bath latest; inconsistent; down in trip; significant jockey booking; unproven on fast ground; yet to prove he's trained on; opposed Started off for stable with two encouraging AW runs; recent turf defeat can be excused. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (66/1 -65%)Desdemona |
66/1(-65%) | (6) Desdemona 66/1, Down the field in a handicap at Goodwood most recent; unproven on fast ground; out of form this term; C&D winner but all to prove C&D winner as a 2yo; both handicap runs for new yard this season were very disappointing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (25/1 -213%)Lovelifenlaughter |
25/1(-213%) | (3) Lovelifenlaughter 25/1, Won a novice at Nottingham by a short-head last time; steadily progressive; unproven on fast ground; probably bit to come but likely to need this on handicap debut Won small-field novice in November; has fitness to prove on stable/handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

THE COFFEE POD showed more in third at Windsor when last seen and Richard Hannon's gelding could build on that performance from a 1lb lower mark. The unexposed Lovelifenlaughter merits consideration on his seasonal/handicap debut and any market support should be noted as he starts out for the Michael Keady team. Cases can be made for plenty of the remainder, but Diomed Duke and Toolatetonegotiate are arguably the pick of them.

The vote goes to DIOMED DUKE, who made a satisfactory seasonal reappearance last month and should still have some potential.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/2 +0%)Francisco |
11/2(+0%) | (1) Francisco 11/2, Game when scored by 1/2l off 61 at Wolverhampton three starts back; third beaten 3 1/2l off 63 last time; tongue-tie first time; unproven on fast ground; vulnerable off top weight Broke duck over 7f on AW in April; not so good on turf since, including C&D latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (14/1 +30%)Twitch |
14/1(+30%) | (6) Twitch 14/1, Made too much use of beaten 7l in a handicap over 8f at Bath last time; generally out of form; may not relish fast ground; down in trip; looks regressive Two 7f wins on AW in September; well treated now but doesn't look about to take advantage. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (15/8 -25%)Claim That Smile |
15/8(-25%) | (4) Claim That Smile 15/8, Ideally suited by trip when landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off 56 at Yarmouth last time where keen; unexposed at 7f; trainer in form; unproven on fast ground; can follow up Improved for first 7f attempt when winning at Yarmouth recently; back up 4lb; good chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (4/1 +0%)On A Vespa |
4/1(+0%) | (7) On A Vespa 4/1, Did not get a clear run beaten 3 1/2l off 57 over 6f at Salisbury last time; appreciated the faster ground that day; remains unexposed; up in trip; not out of it Modest handicap debut but more promise latest; another step forward possible over 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (18/1 +10%)Twirler |
18/1(+10%) | (2) Twirler 18/1, Slowly away beaten 6l in a handicap at Brighton last time; inconsistent; usually held up; unproven on fast ground; long losing run off-putting Two 7f AW wins in early 2024; uphill for this yard despite dropping down weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (7/2 +13%)Penelope Valentine |
7/2(+13%) | (3) Penelope Valentine 7/2, Ran to form beaten 3l off 63 at Wetherby last time where went too fast; good mark on winter AW win; significant jockey booking; threat Wide-margin 7f winner on AW in April; lesser efforts with varied tactics since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CLAIM THAT SMILE benefited from stepping up in trip when getting off the mark at Yarmouth earlier in the month and Stuart Williams' gelding makes plenty of appeal in his attempt to back that success up. Francisco sports a tongue-tie for the first time after his latest third over C&D. He has to enter calculations along with On A Vespa, who is entitled to build on her placed effort at Salisbury.

On A Vespa should have some potential at 7f but CLAIM THAT SMILE (nap) looked a different horse upped to this trip at Yarmouth.

20/1(0%) | (6) Edergole's Gift 20/1, Beaten 6l in a handicap over 7f at Catterick last time; generally out of form; tongue-tie first time; down in trip; basement mark not enough to recommend Seems to be going through the motions; needs tongue-strap to have transformative effect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (7/2 -75%)Sabrimento |
7/2(-75%) | (5) Sabrimento 7/2, Did not get a clear run beaten 7l in a handicap over 7f at Goodwood last time; drop down in trip a plus; inconsistent; threat if handling the fast ground 0-8 for current yard but at least this is a weaker race than he's been contesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (3/1 +63%)Stalingrad |
3/1(+63%) | (4) Stalingrad 3/1, Beaten 3 1/2l off 61 at Chepstow last time; versatile ground wise; yet to prove ability remains after lay off; risky Finished last but wasn't beaten far at Chepstow 12 days ago; impossible to rule out. |

5th (1) (9/2 -100%)Master Dandy |
9/2(-100%) | (1) Master Dandy 9/2, Back to form beaten 2l off 63 at Yarmouth last time; unproven on fast ground; has won here on AW; big chance if building on latest Has fallen in the weights and showed a bit on stable debut last time; possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (14/1 +13%)Nelson Rose |
14/1(+13%) | (3) Nelson Rose 14/1, Down the field in a handicap at Chelmsford most recent where went too fast; generally out of form this term; dual winner last summer; back below last winning mark; revival needed Has offered little this season but at least these conditions should be in her favour. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Despite finishing last at Chepstow, STALINGRAD produced an improved display following his return to the track at Windsor. This isn't a particularly strong event on paper and the eight-year-old may be able to capitalise on a 5lb lower mark than his last winning figure. Master Dandy may enter the reckoning if repeating his latest Yarmouth effort, while a drop to sprinting could make a difference for Born A Rebel.

The tentative choice is MASTER DANDY, well handicapped on the pick of his efforts and not disgraced on his stable debut 17 days ago.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
