Having returned to form with a respectable third at Chelmsford last month, this could prove a suitable opportunity for PENN AVENUE to open her account. The daughter of Mohaather shouldn't have any issue reverting to turf and makes grand appeal racing off an unchanged mark. Solid recent form is thin on the ground, with handicap debutants Lilac Wine and Good Shot also noted.

A chance is taken on AL BAAREZ, who is unexposed and made a good turf debut when beaten just over 1l at Windsor ten days ago.

7th (10) (150/1 -200%)Senseofentitlement |
150/1(-200%) | (10) Senseofentitlement 150/1, Below par down the field in a handicap over 10f here most recent; visor first time; hard to recommend Finished last when tried in cheekpieces then blinkers the last twice; visor given a whirl. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (10/3 +17%)Edvard Grieg |
10/3(+17%) | (3) Edvard Grieg 10/3, Landed a handicap by 2l off 48 at Beverley last time from much reduced mark; that first win on 17th start; threat Off the mark (1m4f; career-low mark) last time; back up 5lb but he's still respected. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Miss Dandylion supplemented a close-up second at Brighton with a breakthrough victory there last month. Jamie Osborne's filly must enter calculations off 3lb higher, although she must prove her stamina going up in trip. With that in mind, EDVARD GRIEG rates a more solid proposition after scoring with something in hand over 1m4f at Beverley recently. Monkmoor Pip is also noted.

Only four of these can be seriously fancied and EDVARD GRIEG (nap), who has no issues with turf or this trip, is the most solid option.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (11/10 +82%)Silk And Steel |
11/10(+82%) | (8) Silk And Steel 11/10, Won a maiden hurdle at Newton Abbot over 2m1f by 1 1/2l last time; in poor form on flat prior over shorter; cheekpieces first time; contender over 2m with a stamina proven over hurdles Minor Flat form; won recent hurdle debut; can improve in only his second Flat handicap. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having filled the runner-up berth at Kempton and Redcar, CAPTAIN BRETT scored at Yarmouth 11 days ago. A 6lb rise from the assessor looks manageable for David Simcock's progressive three-year-old and he's fancied to double his tally. Last month's Bath fourth Cherry Cola lurks on a dangerous mark and could be ready to strike. She is feared most, ahead of Charles Morin.

Recent winning hurdler Silk And Steel has possibilities but CAPTAIN BRETT looks more than capable of finding another race.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (5/2 +29%)Archibald Ives |
5/2(+29%) | (1) Archibald Ives 5/2, Beaten 6l in a seller over 7f at Chester last time; consistent without really challenging so far; could contend Similar level in 4 starts; this is easier than last time; yard yet to get going with 2yos. |

11/4(+39%) | (6) Redditizio 11/4, Raced freely beaten 8 1/2l in a maiden over 5f at Windsor last time; form franked from previous effort; trainer in form; the pick on balance of form Related to winners but hasn't looked up to much in three 5f runs at big prices. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

First-time cheekpieces may eke out some improvement in Saeculamation, who makes his nursery debut, while Redditizio is another expected to go well off a light weight. This is a tricky puzzle for punters to solve and, with that in mind, only a tentative vote goes to SHETAKESTHEGOLD, who showed some promise on her three runs to date and is likely to step forward following a two-month absence.

None of the five have been involved in a finish and SAECULAMATION is just a tentative choice ahead of Shetakesthegold.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (11/1 +56%)Norfolk Blue |
11/1(+56%) | (8) Norfolk Blue 11/1, Beaten 9l in a novice over 6f at Windsor on debut; hood first time; bit to find Late gains for eighth on his debut 36 days ago; should be capable of better; hood added. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (9/4 +72%)Espona Bay |
9/4(+72%) | (4) Espona Bay 9/4, Given too much to do well beaten in a 2yo race over 5f at Ascot only start; off a short-break; plenty more needed up in trip 25-1 and always behind in a warm race on debut at Ascot (5f); can surely do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (20/1 -25%)Karakula Dancer |

18/1(-100%) | (2) Arjack 18/1, Beaten 6 1/4l in a novice over 6f at Goodwood last time; bit below debut form at Ascot prior when suggesting plenty more to come; step up in trip raises questions; squeak Beaten just over 6l both starts; 7f not an obvious plus but he's not far away on RPRs. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

COMMAND THE STARS is the obvious place to start as he won one of these really well at Beverley last month. He improved from his Haydock introduction and likely has more to come, so should go very close despite having to concede weight all round. Armstrong represents a shrewd yard on debut and is a potential fly in the ointment for supporters of the selection, while Arjack is another to bear in mind.

The two newcomers are interesting but COMMAND THE STARS gets the vote to shrug off his penalty for Beverley.

5/2(-25%) | (1) All Ways Glamorous 5/2, Not really asked a serious question landing a handicap by 3 1/4l off 71 at Chepstow last time; trainer in form; progressing; 10lb rise may not be enough to stop fourth win in six Progressive gelding who won easily last time; a chunky 10lb rise will test him. |

6/1(+63%) | (9) So Smart 6/1, Scored by 1/2l off 63 here in May; fourth beaten 6l off 67 last time; enjoys making it; may contend Made all from a wide stall over C&D in May; handy draw in a race lacking much early speed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (16/1 +11%)Just King High |
16/1(+11%) | (8) Just King High 16/1, Going probably on fast side beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap at Redcar last time; hasn't progressed since maiden win in November; bit to find Too soon to write him off, dropped another 3lb, but does have it to prove now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ALL WAYS GLAMOROUS comfortably took care of his nearest rival by just over three lengths to make it two wins from his last three starts at Chepstow last time. The son of Cable Bay is now 10lb higher but, considering the manner of his latest triumph, he remains the one to beat. Amestris filled the runner-up spot in this grade at Haydock last month and is noted along with The Thames Boatman.

This is far from overloaded with early speed and May's C&D winner SO SMART could be the way to go.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
