|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (20/1 -82%)Shotgun |
20/1(-82%) | (5) Shotgun 20/1 Well-bred filly and she's a possible improver with tongue-tie added on nursery debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having been sent off at big prices for each of her four starts in maiden/novice company, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Real Gold produce a much better effort on her nursery debut. Similar comments apply to Slack Bob for the Ed Dunlop team, but the vote goes to CORNICHE GIRL. Already a winner over this trip, Richard Hannon's juvenile might have found the drop to the minimum distance against her last time and could bounce back.

This looks tricky but it might be worth siding with Kempton winner CORNICHE GIRL, who was a close fourth here last time.

9/1(-20%) | (5) Bluebluelectricblu 9/1 Eyecatching fourth at Wolverhampton last time and she's a player if she can build on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (50/1 -150%)Musical Soldier |
50/1(-150%) | (3) Musical Soldier 50/1 Finished in the rear in two turf runs in June; has been gelded and a hood is now added. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A silver medallist on both of his career starts, Angel Gabriel boasts obvious claims but the fact he failed to justify cramped odds at Southwell last time tempers enthusiasm. Therefore, it might be worth taking a chance on CRYINGINTHERAIN, who wasn't able to live up to market expectations when well beaten on debut at the same venue in October. That is unlikely to be her true running and she could prove a different proposition second time up. Hen Party completes the shortlist.

Top of the list is ANGEL GABRIEL who has finished second in both his runs including behind a useful prospect at Southwell 24 days ago.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (80/1 -220%)Adores |
80/1(-220%) | (2) Adores 80/1, Ran to the same level as on debut when beaten 5l in a maiden here last time. Stays 8f, acts on the all-weather and surely has more to offer. Signs of ability in two 1m starts, including C&D; type to do better, perhaps in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (14/1 +0%)Celestique |
14/1(+0%) | (6) Celestique 14/1, 13 May; Starspangledbanner filly; half-sister to several winners, including Dukebox, useful at 8f; dam smart at 8f; up against it on debut. Two siblings made winning starts for this yard so she could go well on debut; check market. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The eye is immediately drawn to Al Qaysiyya after her runner-up effort over 7f at Kempton earlier this month and she is sure to be thereabouts, but ALLAIRE makes lots of appeal on paper. Andrew Balding's filly is a half-sister to St Leger winner Eldar Eldarov and, although her pedigree suggests she will improve as she steps up in trip, this looks a good starting point. The market may tell us more about newcomer Felicitas.

Some well-connected newcomers line up but AL QAYSIYYA sets a very fair standard on her turf and AW form and should stay 1m.

40/1(-60%) | (9) Kamberleigh 40/1, Well below form tried in blinkers when down the field in a handicap at Southwell most recent; off a short break; effective at 5f; drop in trip might help. Finished last in two AW handicaps at 1m and 6f; gelded since last seen; risky back at 5f. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Just a tentative vote in weak handicap is for COLORS OF FREEDOM, who often runs well without winning but is a previous C&D winner and she's got bottom weight too. Gogo Yubari is one of two other track-and-trip winners in the field and she's noted along with South Shore Island, who has claims on his penultimate course effort when second.

Well-handicapped STASH THE CASH is light on AW experience but he is more than capable of building on his recent debut for this yard.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PROFIT STREET was on really good terms with himself when landing a bit of a gamble at Wolverhampton latest and, assuming he's in the same form, James Owen's charge should go very close. His stable companion Neptune Legend is another last-start winner to consider and it's also worth keeping a close eye on distance winner All Too Beautiful and Nordic Glory.

The suggestion is PROFIT STREET, who drew clear of the others with the favourite when scoring at Wolverhampton nine days ago.

LATIN should take a bit of beating judged on recent form. Second over C&D two starts ago and, given a break since his latest runner-up effort at Southwell, it surely won't be long before the Bath scorer gets back in the winning groove. Tommy's Promise won well at Chelmsford recently and heads the list of dangers from Newcastle winner Krissy.

4yo LATIN has a record of 33531222 for his current yard and he gets the vote ahead of recent Chelmsford winner Tommy's Promise.

NEBULA STARS can strike at the third time of asking in the UK. After racing initially in Hong Kong, the seven-year-old returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with two very commendable efforts and the gelding makes plenty of appeal in what appears to be a winnable contest on paper. Borderline Madness won here in September and is likely to go well along with The Dark Baron and Gladiadora.

A competitive race in which the vote goes to GLADIADORA (nap), who hit a personal best with her comfortable win at Chelmsford.
