13:45 Musselburgh (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

YELLOW DIAMONDS has run with plenty of credit since joining the Kevin Philippart De Foy yard and she looks the one to beat if building upon a strong runner-up effort at Southwell. Havin A Flyer has sound claims if bouncing back to the form of her seconds over C&D, while Tea Queen can be expected to perform better than her disappointing debut effort when sent off an odds-on favourite at Beverley.

The speedy YELLOW DIAMONDS has been placed on AW on her two runs in September and is taken to get off the mark.

14:20 Musselburgh (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FILEY BEACH did it well when scoring comfortably from the reopposing Ahamoment (second) over C&D and, despite being 3lb worse off at the weights, Ruth Carr's charge looks well capable of upholding the form. High on the shortlist after strong placed efforts the last twice, Jesmond Dawn is 4lb lower than for his last success, while 2024 winner The Gay Blade is another to note.

The 9yo GOLDEN VALOUR has a 1-28 record at Ayr, where he does most of his racing, and he earns the vote now back at Musselburgh.

A career-best second over C&D last time out when he had Panthere Noir a position behind, LYRICAL SONG could be well treated off a mark of 70 on his nursery debut and he can go one better. Runner-up on his last two starts, Willowinghurn is entitled to be thereabouts again on the step back up in trip, while Sailor Batt attempts to build upon a strong effort over 6f at Redcar last week.

Having kept on for a good second of 14 on last week's nursery debut over 6f at Redcar, SAILOR BATT is selected to go one better.

It is difficult to oppose EMPIRESTATEOFMIND, who holds outstanding claims on these terms. The seven-year-old was just touched off in a similar event at Chester when conceding 9lb to the winner and, with much less to prove than his rivals, this looks a good opportunity. C&D winner I Am Me could be the main danger, while Cannon Rock appeals most of the remaining duo.

This is an excellent opportunity for EMPIRESTATEOFMIND, who went close in a stronger seller than this at Chester recently.

16:05 Musselburgh (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A low draw can often be a hindrance over the sprint trips here, but it shouldn't be an issue for ZARZYNI given that he's often held up to challenge late. That was certainly the case for him at Southwell latest, where he cut through the field to land a narrow success. A 4lb penalty shouldn't prevent another bold showing and he is fancied to repel the likely challenge of Arnhem. Water Of Leith is also noted.

He may be the oldest runner in the field but ARNHEM (nap) comes here on the back of two good runs for his new stable and can win again.

16:38 Musselburgh (Class 6) 13f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Star Of Markinch appeared to improve for the introduction of cheekpieces when finishing second over an extended 1m4f here. Gary Rutherford's mare isn't taken lightly reverting to 1m6f, but SEA MASTER looks a more solid proposition. The five-year-old only found a subsequent winner too strong on his latest effort at this course and a similar performance may prove sufficient. Falaise Blanc completes the shortlist.

The vote goes to SEA MASTER, who has form figures of 3321242 this season and that latest second was behind a subsequent winner.

17:13 Musselburgh (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having only wilted in the closing stages to finish third at Hamilton recently, ZAPHEA could be poised to strike. Iain Jardine's filly appeared to be travelling best entering the final quarter-mile and quicker ground conditions may improve her bid. Ski Angel finished just behind the selection in fourth that day and is feared most, although a better performance from Soul Seeker wouldn't surprise off a sliding mark.

Preference is for triple C&D winner ZAPHEA, who is on a reduced mark and made a bold bid when third at Hamilton ten days ago.
