13th (1) (80/1 -60%)Arakiel |
80/1(-60%) | (1) Arakiel 80/1, Outclassed in good race when well beaten in a maiden at Naas only start; off a short-break; small, but should come on for first start Beat only one home on Naas debut in May when a 100-1 shot; best watched for now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (8) (16/1 +0%)Cotai Island |
16/1(+0%) | (8) Cotai Island 16/1, 27 Apr; Cotai Glory colt; half-brother to Blackstone Cliff, fair at 11f; dam fair at 8f; yard do well with 2yo's, but are out of form Trip looks on the short side so newcomer probably best watched. |

STAR OF SAPPHIRE kept the winner of a Bellewstown maiden more than honest when second on debut last week. She was nicely clear of the third home and sets a good standard for the newcomers to surpass. The Right One was an excellent second at 80/1 on debut at Cork, but didn't really build upon that when fifth in Down Royal. She was keen that day so, if settling better, would be a big player. Chapel Lane is a well-related sort who could show plenty of dash, while Redemption Road is a half-brother to a Listed-placed horse. Josh Halley's twice-raced Salacious and Gavin Cromwell's debutant Wicklow Gap could also have a say in the distribution of prize money.

Little form to go on but the Bellewstown second of STAR OF SAPPHIRE stands out

5th (4) (9/2 0%)Pete's Dream |
9/2(0%) | (4) Pete's Dream 9/2, Poorly drawn down the field in a maiden over 8f at Limerick most recent run, but had shown plenty in two starts prior to that; good chance will bounce back Plenty of speed first 2 starts so drop in trip could suit and returns to left-handed track. |

16/1(-14%) | (9) Amicitia 16/1, Fair effort on debut when 8l 5th of 13 at Dundalk back in November; not seen since and may need the run, but open to improvement Didn't really count on debut in AW maiden in November; may need this comeback run. |

18/1(-13%) | (8) Woolridge 18/1, 40,000gns Zoustar gelding; full-brother to Sweet Carolina, useful at 5f; dam smart at 7f; worth watching in the market on debut Seemingly the Oliver yard's second-choice and all the better for the experience. |

100/1(0%) | (11) She's A Gift 100/1, Bit better effort second start after last of 16 on debut; massive improvement needed to get involved though Well held on both starts this term, eligible for a mark after this. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (150/1 -50%)Anjaaline |
150/1(-50%) | (1) Anjaaline 150/1, Well beaten all starts latest 45l last of 11 at at Leopardstown most recent; impossible to fancy Beaten only one home in three runs; dismiss.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (2) (125/1 -150%)Chico Chico |
125/1(-150%) | (2) Chico Chico 125/1, Rock Of Gibraltar gelding; first foal; dam smart at 10f, half-sister to winners Grade 2 8-12f winner Elektrum Bred for much further so debutant best watched. |

WASHINGTON STREET has the beating of Sun Soldier on their clash at the Curragh where the former took second, almost two lengths ahead of the third-placed latter. Washington Street is also 3lb better off due to Jack Kearney's claim. Both horses have been placed on their last couple of starts and ought to be in the thick of the action. Johnny Murtagh's Blue Point filly Zuheila is well worth keeping an eye on in the market ahead of her debut, while Phoenix Pairc is improving with racing. Turners Cross and Pete's Dream, who drops in trip, are others in with a shout of prize money.

Washington Street rates a big player but could prove vulnerable to a speedily-bred newcomer such as ZUHEILA

1st (4) (15/2 +17%)Bundle Of Interest |
15/2(+17%) | (4) Bundle Of Interest 15/2, Fair effort on handicap debut when beaten 3l off 70 over 7f at Tipperary last time; mark has eased a pound here, but still looks on the stiff side Plenty of pace at Tipperary before weakening; drop in trip could suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/1 -20%)Skillman Ave |
4/1(-20%) | (2) Skillman Ave 4/1, Landed a handicap by a neck off 68 over 5f at Tipperary last time having rediscovered mojo fitted with a visor the previous start; up a couple of pounds, but obvious chance Tipperary winner a big player with rider's 7lb claim negating 5lb rise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (7/2 +50%)Send Harry |
7/2(+50%) | (6) Send Harry 7/2, Probably flattered by AW maiden form and better judged on form of two similar efforts in handicaps last two starts, latest beaten 3l off 62 at Fairyhouse; up a couple of pounds for that, but should still be competitive Recent Fairyhouse third franked since; stiffer finish here should suit and one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (7/2 +22%)El Fontenaro |
7/2(+22%) | (7) El Fontenaro 7/2, Consistent of late and ran to form when beaten 2l off 61 over 5f at Down Royal last time; slight worry about the step back up in trip, but remains on a competitive mark Two solid Down Royal efforts over 5f; good chance of staying this longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (22/1 +45%)Bluebelardo |
22/1(+45%) | (5) Bluebelardo 22/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap over 8f at Roscommon most recent start, but poor four of five starts and stiff mark based on the other one; blinkers first time Moderate handicap form so far; back in trip with first-time blinkers on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (4/1 0%)This Ain't Texas |
4/1(0%) | (3) This Ain't Texas 4/1, Very consistent and ran well despite being weak in the market when beaten 1 1/4l off 73 over 5f at Tipperary on handicap debut last time; runs off the same mark here and should contend Staying-on Tipperary fourth to Skillman Ave; sure to relish longer trip and stiffer finish. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (66/1 -65%)Carmina Burana |
66/1(-65%) | (9) Carmina Burana 66/1, Yet to show any worthwhile form; impossible to fancy Soundly beaten when visored on handicap debut in May; 9lb wrong and impossible to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (9/1 -29%)Mcintosh |
9/1(-29%) | (1) Mcintosh 9/1, Disappointing last time fitted with cheekpieces after largely solid form as a 3yo, including in handicaps; has had a short-break and reasonable chance will bounce back and run well Windsor second flopped in cheekpieces latest; Irish debut and others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (14/1 -180%)Raising The Flag |
14/1(-180%) | (8) Raising The Flag 14/1, Probably needed race beaten 9l on handicap debut and 3yo reappearance at Tipperary last time off a mark of 60; cheekpieces first time and down 4lb, but off a short-break Beaten favourite on handicap/seasonal debut at Tipperary; down 4lb and cheekpieces on now. |

It was a better class of race than this that SEND HARRY finished third in at Fairyhouse. The form received a boost when the runner-up came out and landed a valuable fillies' handicap at Naas. The form of his fourth on penultimate start in Fairyhouse has also been well franked, so this could be his time. Skillman Ave is sure to be popular after winning by a neck in an apprentice handicap in Tipperary at the start of the month. Although she got 5lb for that success, Sam Coen is now able to utilise his full claim. This Ain't Texas and El Fontenaro are likely to be in there pitching, while McIntosh showed enough ability in Britain to get involved on Irish debut.

Recent Tipperary winner Skillman Ave may struggle to confirm that form over this stiffer track with THIS AIN'T TEXAS (nap)

1st (4) (6/1 -50%)My Girl Sioux |
6/1(-50%) | (4) My Girl Sioux 6/1, Landed a handicap by a length off 58 at Bellewstown last time; trainer in form, but up 8lb here and that looks a stiff task on paper Won a 0-60 at Bellewstown latest, up 8lb and this a tougher race, career best required. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (6/1 -9%)Best Suggestion |
6/1(-9%) | (2) Best Suggestion 6/1, Appeared not to stay beaten 8l in a maiden over 6f at The Curragh last time; top course jockey; tongue-tie first time; drop back to 5f a help 3yo handicap debutant, best run in maidens over C&D, not discounted; tongue tie on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (9/2 -13%)Viamonte |
9/2(-13%) | (3) Viamonte 9/2, Well backed when second beaten a short-head in a maiden at Bellewstown latest; consistent, suited by 5f, acts on good and yielding; can contend Beaten a short head in a Bellewstown maiden latest, should be thereabouts again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (12) (28/1 -12%)Ballysax Lil' Mick |
28/1(-12%) | (12) Ballysax Lil' Mick 28/1, Poor last two starts and generally regressive; trip and ground will suit and official mark is much reduced, but difficult to be confident Mark sliding but hasn't shown enough in recent starts, 4lb wrong, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (20/1 -25%)Devil's Angel |
20/1(-25%) | (5) Devil's Angel 20/1, Scored by 1 1/4l off 60 over 6f here three starts back in an apprentice handicap, but below that form since and very poor last time; chance at best, but very risky Won over 6f here in May, no impact off revised mark twice since, others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (5/2 +38%)Mint Man |
5/2(+38%) | (1) Mint Man 5/2, Very consistent and bang to form when beaten 2l off 70 at Down Royal last time; trip and ground will suit, mark unchanged and should go close again Sound efforts since return from break, same mark as when close third latest, go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (4/1 +50%)Only Spoofing |
4/1(+50%) | (6) Only Spoofing 4/1, Below par since a win at Musselburgh off 66 back in April; suited by 5f, acts on any; mark has fallen a lot, but still stiff based on recent form Likeable veteran, won off 2lb higher in April, likes it here and dangerous to dismiss. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (14/1 +65%)Eruption |
14/1(+65%) | (10) Eruption 14/1, In poor form and beaten 9l in a handicap over 6f at Naas last time; suited by 5f, probably acts on any and mark has dropped rapidly, but hard to fancy Won two last season, well-handicapped but out of form this year, needs a revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (25/1 -79%)Pansy Poe |
25/1(-79%) | (7) Pansy Poe 25/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap over 8f at The Curragh most recent start, but form has regressed and cheekpieces now tried as well as tongue-tie; hard to fancy Maiden ran well on occasion last year, no show this season, cheekpieces and tongue tie on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (40/1 -21%)Twinkling Toes |
40/1(-21%) | (9) Twinkling Toes 40/1, Ran well on 2yo debut, but well beaten all starts since; looks on a very stiff mark based on that evidence Hasn't built on promising debut, signs of in season latest, hood on, best watched. |

In-foal MY GIRL SIOUX availed of a lovely seam on the inner to sweep home in Bellewstown and could follow up. The handicapper tacked on 8lb, but that is more than offset by the booking of 10lb claimer Jimmy Dalton. Viamonte just failed by a short head in another Bellewstown sprint and has to rate a danger, while Mint Man is holding his form well and is in the hunt for another cheque. Lismacbryan Hill has been dropped 1lb after finishing third behind My Girl Sioux at Bellewstown. She has had three placed efforts this year and shouldn't be a backmarker.

ONLY SPOOFING is preferred on his 100th start. A repeat of his C&D fourth in a better race than this in May could suffice

1st (3) (3/1 -60%)Rock Of Cashel |
3/1(-60%) | (3) Rock Of Cashel 3/1, Did not see out the 10f at Royal Ascot having been close to the pace last time and failed to stay 12f previous start; major player on best form, but stamina worry and won't want the ground too fast Highly tried after maiden win to no avail, beaten in h'cap latest, a bit to prove for now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (1/4 +63%)Nautical Force |
1/4(+63%) | (1) Nautical Force 1/4, Ran to form up in trip when fourth beaten 3l in a handicap over 12f at Ascot latest; equally effective at 10f; trainer in form; consistent and arguably the one to beat Cork maiden winner, ran excellent race in hot Royal Ascot handicap, leading chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (20/1 -135%)Professor Longhair |
20/1(-135%) | (2) Professor Longhair 20/1, Too bad to be true first run on turf well beaten in Tetrarch Stakes (Listed) over 8f at The Curragh latest; promising AW maiden win only other start; tongue-tie first time; off a short-break; possibly flattered by AW maiden win Won nicely on debut at Dundalk, struggled in a listed latest, now tongue tied, watch. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (250/1 -279%)Wellwhatshappenin |
250/1(-279%) | (4) Wellwhatshappenin 250/1, Poor all starts and it would be a major surprise were he not to finish tailed off last Five-race maiden is rated just 56, impossible to fancy in this company. |

NAUTICAL FORCE won his maiden over a similar trip at Cork in April and emerged from Royal Ascot with plenty of credit after a fourth place over further in the King George V Stakes. This could become a tactical affair and Rock Of Cashel has dictated, and won, off the front before. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him bounce back to form. Professor Longhair didn't land a blow in the Listed Tetrarch Stakes at the Curragh in May, but trainer Donnacha O'Brien was complimentary about him when he won his maiden on debut at Dundalk. The suspicion is that there is more to come from him.

NAUTICAL FORCE ran a blinder in a red hot 1m4f Royal Ascot handicap last month and this looks a good opportunity for him

2/1(+50%) | (4) Dancing Steve 2/1, Ran to form beaten 3/4l off 61 at Down Royal on good ground over 10f last time; looks competitively handicapped here up 3lb Narrowly denied at Down Royal, declared to run Saturday, claims if turned out quickly. |

2nd (2) (15/8 +32%)Red King |
15/8(+32%) | (2) Red King 15/8, Consistent and ran to form when second beaten 1/2l in a maiden over 13f at Leopardstown latest fitted with blinkers; just as effective at 10f; acts on good and easy ground; contender 0-6, went close over 1m5f latest, makes h'cap bow off 80, gets 3yo allowance, interesting. |

3rd (1) (11/2 -214%)Daonethatgotaway |
11/2(-214%) | (1) Daonethatgotaway 11/2, Landed a handicap by 3/4l off 65 over 8f at Bellewstown last time after a run of fine efforts (three wins in last four); up in trip here and 7lb in the weights, but is progressing In fine form, won off 7lb lower at Bellewstown latest, moves up in trip-grade, claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (14/1 -27%)Eastern Wind |
14/1(-27%) | (5) Eastern Wind 14/1, Narrow win off 57 back in April and over hurdles since, but below par made too much use of last time; best form around a mile Won off 5lb lower at Bellewstown in April, below par back on Flat latest, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (7/2 +36%)Theophilos |
7/2(+36%) | (3) Theophilos 7/2, Back to form second beaten 4l in a handicap at Naas latest; cheekpieces first time; trip will suit, won't want it to go soft; contender given likely sound surface Ran well at Naas latest, remains 9lb above last win, cheekpieces need to eke out more. |

RED KING was caught over further in Leopardstown, so this drop in trip could see him make the breakthrough. He raced prominently the last day and was all out in the closing stages before going down by half a length in second close home. He was far from outclassed in fifth in a higher grade over a similar trip on penultimate start in Naas. Daonethatgotaway is in a really good place with three victories and two runner-up berths in his last five appearances. He didn't feature in his one previous attempt at this sort of trip, but is now in the form of his life. You wouldn't want to be ruling out Theophilos, Dancing Steve or Eastern Wind in a good race.

The 3yo RED KING ran well on his second start at this track and will appreciate the drop in trip after a solid 1m5f run at Leopardstown

10th (10) (150/1 -200%)Madam Alkaterina |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) (66/1 -32%)Paint The Moon |
66/1(-32%) | (4) Paint The Moon 66/1, Raced freely down the field in a handicap at Fairyhouse most recent start and after minor promise on debut in March has been poor Tame efforts in maidens and on handicap debut latest, hard to fancy. |

LISNADILL may be able to make the breakthrough here despite a 6lb rise for her runner-up effort at Naas recently. The Masar filly was a well-backed favourite eight days ago but failed by a neck to peg back the progressive Casheldale Lass. The front two pulled nicely clear and there looks to be a race in the selection, even after her rise. I Do Believe is interesting on her first start for Ian Donoghue. She showed improvement when staying on to finish second in a Ballinrobe claimer last time and there could be a bit more to come. Clever And Classy comes here in winning form and is another that has to be on the shortlist.

Andy Oliver's LISNADILL was narrowly denied at Naas and the improving 3yo may be able to overcome a 6lb rise and gain compensation here
Ths is the racecard key.
