The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

With Aamilah Aswat looking excellent value for her 10lb claim when she guided GUCHEN to victory at Kempton earlier in the month, there are solid reasons to expect another bold showing from the partnership. The six-year-old has reportedly had a wind problem addressed and he could have plenty for to offer. Karma Police and Activist are others to consider after improved recent efforts, while El Curamach debuts in a handicap on a workable mark and warrants a betting check despite resuming from a lengthy absence.

Irish raider COULDNTMAKEITUP was placed over 2m at Punchestown last month and might be better suited by today's longer trip.

3/1(+54%) | (9) Cecilia Star 3/1, Promising hurdle debut beaten 5 1/2l in a maiden hurdle at Kempton last time; effective 2m, acts on good to soft; flat winner and looks type to make a fair hurdler. Fairly useful Flat form and not beaten far on her switch to hurdles at Kempton; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (5/2 +9%)Love You Back |
5/2(+9%) | (6) Love You Back 5/2, Yard won this last year; bit keen but promising debut over hurdles when second beaten 5l in a maiden hurdle at Warwick latest; returning from a break; effective at 2m on good, handles cut on the Flat; can have a say. 22/1(+56%) | (5) Laplander 22/1, Never threatened and outclassed by principals when fourth beaten 64l in a novice hurdle here latest; effective 2m; looks one for handicaps. Flat maiden and beaten 22l and 64l in two races over hurdles at this track. |

6th (4) (11/2 -57%)Ettore |
11/2(-57%) | (4) Ettore 11/2, Yard has won 2 of last 9 runnings of race; ran better than previous efforts, step down in trip suited 6l third in a novice at Windsor most recent run; plenty more needed. 0-4 on the Flat; joined a leading yard for jumps action but that's the principal positive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (25/1 -213%)Rogue Justice |
25/1(-213%) | (8) Rogue Justice 25/1, Ran to form when winning a handicap at Chelmsford by 1 1/2l last time; progressive stayer on the Flat; interesting with top jockey booking on hurdles debut. It was a low-grade 2m AW handicap he won last month; others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (33/1 +18%)Bowling Shane |
33/1(+18%) | (3) Bowling Shane 33/1, Did too much too soon on testing ground when comfortably held in a handicap at Nottingham last time; trainer in form; returning from a break; hard to recommend. Best of his four Flat runs was a fourth of nine on the AW (1m4f novice; fair form). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (7) (50/1 +0%)Mistral St Georges |
50/1(+0%) | (7) Mistral St Georges 50/1, Ivanhowe gelding; half-brother to Georges Saint, useful at 2 1/2m; stable in good form but rivals set high standard. This is no easy introduction and breeding suggests he's a long-term prospect. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Gary & Josh Moore won last year's corresponding race with a similar type to LOVE YOU BACK. Having raced keenly on his hurdles debut at Warwick when last seen, a more accomplished performance can be expected from the Moores' representative this time. Ettore was a modest performer on the Flat but is in the right hands to make progress now he has switched codes, although Innamorato has more experience and is likely to be a bigger danger if he copes with a 6lb penalty for his win at Taunton.

This could go to CECILIA STAR, who was the best of these on the Flat and she ran a nice first race over hurdles at Kempton.

8/11(+0%) | (1) Miami Magic 8/11, Solid effort up in class just tiring up the hill on ground softer than ideal 7l third in Scilly Isles Novices' Chase (Grade 1) at Sandown most recent run; effective 2m to 2 1/2m on good; useful novice hurdler, progressing over fences and sets form standard. Third in a Grade 1 latest; every chance he'll give weight and a beating to these. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

9/1(-20%) | (5) That's Nice 9/1, Jumped poorly and comfortably held in a handicap chase at Doncaster last time; top jockey back on board; effective 2 1/2m; yet to take to chasing. Now has a good bit to prove over fences but her hurdling form has to be respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 -20%)Wyenot |
4/1(-20%) | (4) Wyenot 4/1, Mistakes, unsuited by soft ground and well held in the Lady Godiva Mares' Novices' Chase (Listed) at Warwick most recent run; trainer in form; effective 2m4f-3m1f, acts on soft and good; can bounce back down in class back on better ground. Five-time hurdle winner who won her first chase; had wind operation since remote on latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (5/1 +44%)Elysian Knight |
5/1(+44%) | (2) Elysian Knight 5/1, Mistakes and outpaced but did improve from debut down in trip when second beaten 3 1/4l in a handicap chase at Musselburgh latest; effective 2 1/2m, acts on good to soft anf good; jumping must improve over fences, may get 3m in time. Should win again sooner or later but today's terms are not favourable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (14/1 -17%)Thank You Ma'am |
14/1(-17%) | (3) Thank You Ma'am 14/1, Outpaced needing the run on chase debut when 23l third in a beginners chase chase at Carlisle; effective 3m, suited by decent ground; should come on for latest and a likely improver up in trip. Might be sharper after recent chase debut but faces a tricky task at the weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

MIAMI MAGIC and Wyenot are the pair to focus on going by the official ratings. The former sets a good standard and should find this a lot easier than the Grade 1 Scilly Isles he contested at Sandown 27 days ago. Stepping up in trip is a slight concern about the Stuart Edmunds-trained gelding but he otherwise appears to hold all the aces. Wyenot has more proven stamina and is noteworthy on her first start after wind surgery. Thank You Ma'am shades preference over Elysian Knight as third choice.

All things considered, MIAMI MAGIC ran very well in the Group 1 Scilly Isles. At these weights, Wyenot is the obvious danger.

Scopey 6yo who was an impressive winner of his hurdle debut at Taunton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (15/8 -106%)The Big Clubman |
15/8(-106%) | (2) The Big Clubman 15/8, Well placed off steady pace but below form up in trip in the Defender Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) at Limerick last time; in good form prior; effective at 2m1f-2m4f, acts well with cut; may need this drop back in distance and big player with top jockey booked. Maiden winner in Ireland and has a big shout on his second in a Grade 3 there. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (66/1 -100%)Mulinas |
66/1(-100%) | (7) Mulinas 66/1, Yard has won 3 of last 5 runnings of race; green under pressure and found little comfortably held in a maiden hurdle here last time; effective 2m, suited by cut; point winner showed promise in bumpers, needs to prove ability remains after lay off. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (100/1 -25%)Agent Argylle |
100/1(-25%) | (3) Agent Argylle 100/1, Modest debut well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Doncaster latest; point winner should appreciate step up in trip but needs more. Point winner; 80-1 for hurdle debut at Doncaster and ended up tailed off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (6/1 +50%)Buddy Holly |
6/1(+50%) | (5) Buddy Holly 6/1, Below debut form tiring late on testing ground comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las last time; trainer in form; effective 2 1/2m, acts on soft and good; more to come over hurdles, likely to get 3m in time. Ffos Las last time was a backward step but heavy ground there doesn't suit all horses. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Paul Nicholls' yard has won three of the last five renewals and TALK TO THE MAN arrives with strong claims. The latter beat a previous winner with the rest nowhere when scoring easily at Taunton on his hurdling bow and that taking display suggests the son of Walk In The Park can shrug off a penalty. Irish challenger The Big Clubman has faced a couple of stiff tasks since winning a maiden at Wexford and will likely make his presence felt, while Big Bert is another to note.

Irish raider The Big Clubman brings Graded form but TALK TO THE MAN posted a smart RPR in winning at Taunton.

1st (3) (10/11 +55%)Daytime Dreaming |
10/11(+55%) | (3) Daytime Dreaming 10/11, Margin exaggerated by late faller but improved from debut down in trip landing a handicap by 11l off a 8lb lower mark at Southwell last time; effective 2m; progressive but mark demands more. Left clear when beating an exposed veteran at Southwell but this 6yo is far from exposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (15/2 +6%)Kotmask |
15/2(+6%) | (1) Kotmask 15/2, Fell early in a handicap chase at Sandown latest; in solid form prior to that; effective 2-2 1/2m, suited by decent ground; fair mark if building on latest revival. It's surprising to see cheekpieces back on but he has a big effort in him off this mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/4 +39%)Hardy Du Seuil |
11/4(+39%) | (2) Hardy Du Seuil 11/4, Caught late having kicked on early enough at sharp track beaten a head off this mark at Carlisle last time; trainer in form; effective 2m, acts on soft and good; generally in fair form, mark reasonable. Due a 3lb rise in future after going close under Isabelle Ryder at Carlisle 11 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (4/1 +67%)Rath Gaul Hill |
4/1(+67%) | (5) Rath Gaul Hill 4/1, Won this last year off 2lb higher; pulled up in a handicap chase at Sandown latest where never travelled; effective 2m, acts on soft and good; inconsistent this term, handicapper relenting and could bounce back on this quicker surface. Best form going left handed; won this last year; raced at right-handed Sandown latest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Daytime Dreaming makes most appeal of the recent winners having scored convincingly at Southwell last time. Hardy Du Seuil bounced back with a better effort at Carlisle and is preferred to last year's winner Rath Gaul Hill, but another chance goes the way of KOTMASK. The latter fell in a tougher contest at Sandown last month, but his second at the same track prior to that tumble reads well in this context, so Gary and Josh Moore's charge gets the vote.

Tricky, with none of the six dismissed with any confidence. DAYTIME DREAMING perhaps has the most upside, as he is so lightly raced.

9/4(+65%) | (2) Peacenik 9/4, Scored by 5 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Doncaster on his penultimate start; keen but ran to form, third beaten 4 1/4l off 128 last time, 1lb higher here; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on heavy and good; has potential from this mark and in form. Low-mileage 7yo; ended 2025 in good form at around 2m4f; big player on first 3m attempt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (10) (5/2 +0%)Call Me Legend |

Improving 6yo who commands respect on hat-trick attempt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (10/1 +70%)Magical King |
10/1(+70%) | (5) Magical King 10/1, Never jumped or travelled not taking to blinkers when pulled up in a handicap chase at Kempton latest. Effective at 3m and likes plenty of cut; yet to fire over fences but on a good mark based on last year's hurdle form; must bounce back. Player if judged on last season's C&D hurdle form; disappointing over fences this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (16/1 -129%)Jalisco Star |
16/1(-129%) | (7) Jalisco Star 16/1, Did it cosily and improved again when landing a handicap by 3 1/2l off a 3lb lower mark at Chepstow last time. Effective at 3m and further the better, acts on any; progressive hurdler who remains on a fair mark. 2-4 since returned to hurdling but this is tougher than the mares' race she won this month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (12/1 +70%)Champagne Twist |
12/1(+70%) | (6) Champagne Twist 12/1, Stopped quickly when pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Warwick latest. Effective at 2 1/2m and suited by decent ground; out of form. Pulled up on last three chase/hurdle runs; big leap of faith is required to support him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (16/1 -300%)Big City Roller |
16/1(-300%) | (3) Big City Roller 16/1, Threat fell late but would have won anyway when landing a handicap by 18l off a 3lb lower mark at Lingfield last time. Effective 2m4f-2m7f and acts with cut; unexposed and progressive, thrown in on chase form, with more to come upped to 3m. Won two small-field chases this season (both 2m4f, heavy); faces different test here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (11/1 -69%)Benign Dictator |
11/1(-69%) | (4) Benign Dictator 11/1, Scored by 4 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Warwick on his penultimate start; outpaced and unsuited by the way the race developed when fourth, beaten 13l off 124 last time, same mark here; effective 2 1/2-3 1/4m, acts on any; unexposed as a stayer. Good winner at Warwick on New Year's Eve but below that form since; new PB needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (10/1 +60%)Tiny Tetley |
10/1(+60%) | (1) Tiny Tetley 10/1, Yard won this last year. Made too much use of and set it up for a closer when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Wincanton latest; enjoys making it; effective at 3m, acts on soft and good ground; generally consistent. Won four times last season but yet to strike form after four chase/hurdle runs this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (6/1 -9%)Kruger Park |
6/1(-9%) | (9) Kruger Park 6/1, Built on revival previous start when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Fontwell last time; effective 2 1/2-3m and acts with cut; back in form and latest win franked. Good fourth over C&D in November and kept on stoutly to win at Fontwell on Boxing Day. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

BENIGN DICTATOR is a proven stayer having won over 3m2f at Warwick in December. Upped in class when fourth at Huntingdon last time, the nine-year-old remains of interest at this level with Sean Bowen taking over the reins. The leading rider also steered Jalisco Star to victory at Chepstow a fortnight ago and she could feature again raised only 3lb, while Fierce Warrior may well bounce back from a disappointing effort here in December and is preferred to Kruger Park.

Low-mileage 7yo PEACENIK (nap) ended last year in good form at around 2m4f and could quite plausibly have untapped potential over 3m.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
