3/1(-20%) | (1) Dibble Dabble 3/1, Eased 3l and appeared to improve out of the blue landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 64 over 12f at Doncaster last time; down in trip; consistent; can follow up Won with a great deal more in hand than the margin would suggest at Doncaster last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Boy George continued his resurgence when completing a double at Windsor 15 days ago and a 2lb nudge up in the ratings is unlikely to prevent another bold display. However, the veteran may face more competition for the lead, with fellow last-time-out winner Mrembo also likely to force the pace, and it could be worth chancing something ridden more patiently. DIBBLE DABBLE tops the bill after cruising home at Doncaster earlier this month and a fourth career victory may beckon.

The selection is DIBBLE DABBLE who won with a lot more in hand than the margin would suggest at Doncaster last time.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having shaped better than her fifth-placed finish in a class 2 maiden at Ascot last month suggests, STARDINIA could be poised to open her account. The daughter of Starman makes grand appeal dropping into a class 4 novice and she sets a good standard for the others to aim at. Sinj has posted creditable efforts in all three outings to date and may serve the most resistance to the selection, although market support either Nor Zamin and Simplify on their opening bid would be interesting.

Stardinia and Sinj bring the best form, while DOODLING, Nor Zamin and Simplify are particularly interesting debutantes.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

MISS HONEY was value for further when scoring a shade cosily on her debut at Kempton 13 days ago and rates as one to follow. A switch to turf should pose little issue to the daughter of Too Darn Hot and she looks capable of defying a 5lb penalty. The biggest danger may emerge from Mystic Moment, who has filled the runner-up spot on both outings to date, ahead of likely improver Orion's Belt.

Some of the debutantes are attractively bred, especially KAORI. Second choice is Kempton winner Miss Honey.

7/2(+30%) | (3) Clockmaker 7/2, Well backed when scored by a head off 78 over 1m7f at Doncaster penultimate start; close to form fifth beaten 4l off 80 last time; usually held up; up in trip; consistent; outside chance Won at Doncaster in most recent turf start; may do better still; remains of interest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ANZAC DAY isn't the most straightforward, having needed plenty of cajoling before staying on late for fifth over 1m6f at Goodwood on his handicap bow. Saying that, he has a much easier opportunity today and, with this greater test of stamina expected to suit, Andrew Balding's charge may prove the one to side with. Hydroplane finished an encouraging third over 2m at Chester on his first start since 2023 and looks to have retained his ability. He could pose a bigger threat than last month's Doncaster winner Clockmaker.

Dropped in grade and upped further in trip, lightly raced ANZAC DAY could well prove resurgent and add to his useful 2yo win.

11/2(-38%) | (6) Adelaide Bay 11/2, Improved again landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off 60 at Chelmsford last time; may not relish fast ground; small, but good attitude and progressing; could complete hat trick if handling conditions Good progress over 7f on AW this term; likely player if form is transferred back to turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (16/1 -100%)Iconnic |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (50/1 -150%)Mapledurham |
50/1(-150%) | (4) Mapledurham 50/1, Disappointing seasonal debut beaten 9 1/4l in a novice over 5f at Bath last time; wide draw; up in trip; may come on for reappearance run but mark looks on the stiff side Faces a difficult task on handicap debut and the trip is an unknown. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

THIS FARH made every yard back on the turf at Lingfield last month. David Loughnane's inmate returned the emphatic winner in first-time cheekpieces and can defy a 6lb rise with the prospect of more to come. Mr Ubiquitous escapes a penalty for winning an apprentices race at Salisbury. Another good effort looks assured given Jack Nicholls can utilise his 7lb allowance on this occasion, while the unexposed Iconnic returned the willing winner over 6f at Leicester and merits consideration.

This isn't a total penalty kick, with other progressive types in opposition, but MR UBIQUITOUS (nap) looks the pick at the weights.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (40/1 -122%)Land Of Magic |
40/1(-122%) | (9) Land Of Magic 40/1, Little bit in hand scored by 1/2l off 69 at Lingfield penultimate start; below form on good to firm ground seventh beaten 4l off 72 last time; up in trip; doesn't act on anything faster than good; up against it Made all against favoured nearside rail at Lingfield last month; on career-high mark now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FOLLOW YOUR HEART ran far better than his finishing position would suggest at Kempton two starts ago, before exploiting a much lower turf mark at Doncaster latest. William Buick gets back aboard today and although he must shoulder a penalty, Mark Loughnane's charge can complete a quick-fire double. Stratocracy has posted three creditable efforts so far this season and is expected to be on the premises along with Mister Mojito, who was on target from 3lb lower at Yarmouth last month.

Preference is for MARLAY PARK, who ran a big race in defeat on his seasonal debut and will find this easier than his latest assignment.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although a 10-year-old now, SPANISH STAR proved he still retains plenty of enthusiasm for the game when a fast-finishing third at Salisbury a fortnight ago. His last success came off a mark of 90 in June 2023, so if stepping forward from that most recent performance, he could prove far too strong. On Edge shaped with promise on his seasonal return at Windsor last month and is respected from an unchanged mark, while others to note include Sarafina Mshairi and Nacho Nacho Nacho.

There may yet be a bigger performance in ON EDGE, who has improved with age and comes here after a pleasing seasonal reappearance.
Ths is the racecard key.
