|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (200/1 -400%)Rajawail |
200/1(-400%) | (12) Rajawail 200/1, Well beaten again and far too slow into stride when down the field in a handicap at Beverley most recently. Effective at 7-9f but might need this and is hard to fancy on recent evidence. Regressive maiden; little to recommend her back from a 201-day absence. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

In a moderate event, it is hard to oppose SHOWMEDEMONEY, who was beaten by less than a length when fourth off this mark at Southwell last time. That followed a win over a mile at this venue in December and the in-form seven-year-old merits plenty of respect. Hijo De La Luna and Highfield Comrade have both been running well in classified events of late and look to be the main threats.

Highfield Comrade and Hijo De La Luna are respected but SHOWMEDEMONEY can come out on top. He has responded well to blinkers.

15/8(+6%) | (2) Tarbat Ness 15/8, Travelled well and ran to his best when back up in trip and returned to AW, landing a handicap by 3/4l off a 5lb lower mark here last time. Effective from 14-21f and in form, he can go well again off his new mark. Career-best form when winning over C&D last month (front pair clear); commands respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (17/2 -183%)Clansman |
17/2(-183%) | (1) Clansman 17/2, Needed the run but was not far off form when beaten 1l off a 1lb higher mark here last time. Trainer in form, effective from 12-16f on any surface, and should come on for that latest outing back up in trip. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (13/8 +28%)The Craftymaster |
13/8(+28%) | (3) The Craftymaster 13/8, Ran to his best and was strong at the finish when landing a handicap by 3l off a 5lb lower mark at Chelmsford last time. Best at 14-16f and acts on AW; respected under a penalty. Clear winner at Chelmsford last week; remains very well handicapped on early-2025 form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

THE CRAFTYMASTER had plenty in hand when winning over 1m6f at Chelmsford a week ago and a 5lb penalty for that success may not be enough to stop him from following up. Tarbat Ness has won his last two Flat starts, including over C&D last time, and he could give the selection plenty to think about. Clansman edges out Billy Bathgate to be next best.

Preference is for TARBET NESS, who pulled nicely clear of the others with an unexposed rival when scoring over C&D last month.

9/2(+36%) | (2) Tupero 9/2, Too keen in new headgear combo upped in trip comfortably held in a handicap here last time; effective at 12f, acts on S and AW; drop in trip a plus and capable of better yet. Well beaten when upped to 2m for handicap debut but this drop back in trip should help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (13/2 +35%)Angelardo |
13/2(+35%) | (8) Angelardo 13/2, No-show from off the pace when beaten 6l in a handicap at Southwell last time. The trainer is in form but he has yet to show any worthwhile form himself. Remains lightly raced but looked very one-paced when seventh at Southwell this month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (9/1 -29%)Nymphaea |
9/1(-29%) | (5) Nymphaea 9/1, Made late gains when tried in cheekpieces, beaten 6l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Effective over 12f on this surface; remains below a winning level but had more in it than latest. Six-race maiden; ran okay in first-time cheekpieces this month; now needs to buid on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (16/1 +27%)Muhib |
16/1(+27%) | (7) Muhib 16/1, Found little and was below form when beaten 8l in a handicap here last time. Effective at 10f on this surface; looks regressive and has stamina to prove. Recent efforts have been disappointing and he's now 0-16. |

12/1(+64%) | (1) I Am Simba 12/1, No-show from off the pace when comfortably held in a novice here last time; cheekpieces are fitted for the first time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (17/2 +47%)Violeta |
17/2(+47%) | (4) Violeta 17/2, No-show from off the pace down the field in a handicap here most recent; off a short-break; effective 10-12f, suited by AW; likes the track but needs to bounce back. Ran poorly here last time but has good claims if judged on earlier C&D second. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (4/1 +53%)Busby |
4/1(+53%) | (6) Busby 4/1, Below form when beaten 7l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Effective over 9-12f and acts well on this surface; more is needed despite an easing mark. Veteran who has not been firing on all cylinders since returning from a break in October. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (9/4 +18%)Yquem |
9/4(+18%) | (9) Yquem 9/4, Ran to form when beaten 2l off a 3lb lower mark at Dundalk last time. Effective over 10/11f on this surface and running into form at a lowly level in handicaps. Aided by cheekpieces when running well twice at Dundalk last month; must be considered. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DUCHESS has filled second place on both starts since springing a surprise at Southwell in January and she is more than capable of returning to winning ways on this occasion. Yquem's last couple of efforts in defeat at Dundalk suggest that she could play a big role in this company. The rest all have questions to answer, but Busby and Violeta are the pick of them.

Some of these are still unexposed but the most obvious answer is DUCHESS, who arrives in very good form.

Holds a chance in his hat-trick bid. Chasing a hat-trick after 1m4f wins at Wolverhampton and Southwell; solid contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (100/1 -203%)Easter Sundae |
100/1(-203%) | (6) Easter Sundae 100/1, Made late gains but was never a threat when beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Cheekpieces are applied for the first time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (100/1 -52%)Aye Up Tom |
100/1(-52%) | (9) Aye Up Tom 100/1, Never in it when tried in a hood and finishing down the field at Southwell latest. Has no worthwhile form and is hard to fancy. Huge prices and poor form in five starts so far; up in trip with enough to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (15/2 +12%)Achnamara |
15/2(+12%) | (2) Achnamara 15/2, Stopped quickly and ran to current form when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Catterick last time. Effective over 14-16f and acts on all-weather. Has a chance back on the Flat. Down in the weights but he has been quiet under both codes this winter; drops in trip here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (9/1 +10%)Dancing Bay |
9/1(+10%) | (7) Dancing Bay 9/1, Too keen and made no impact when well beaten in a classified race at Wolverhampton latest. Effective up to 16f and acts on all-weather. Bounce back needed. Placed for 1st time when 2nd at Wolverhampton (1m4f) last month; less good ten days later. |

33/1(-267%) | (3) Desert Quest 33/1, Too keen, didn't get home 5 1/4l third in a handicap at Hamilton most recent run; absent for very lengthy period; enjoys making it; effective 12-14f on a sound surface; likely to need this. C&D winner; in good form when last seen but that was 551 days ago; dangerous mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

HAVACHOC ran right away from his rivals in a classified event at Wolverhampton and gamely followed up back in a handicap at Southwell. That was a stiffer test than he faces here and a 3lb rise might not prevent the four-year-old from completing the hat-trick. The code-switching Achnamara is well handicapped based on past exploits on the Flat and he is a strong contender. Free Pic and Dancing Bay complete the shortlist.

Money for Neddies Boy would alter the complexion of the race but as things stand FREE PIC is selected to gain a second C&D win.

9/1(+44%) | (4) Kittens Gift 9/1, Another poor run at Southwell latest; no worthwhile form and impossible to fancy. Tailed off in novice runs in 2025; wind op since latest; this more suitable; check betting. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BOSSY PARKER has a convincing profile based on recent form and looks worth another chance after just running out of steam over an extended mile at Wolverhampton. Having performed well over C&D in the past, this could be a rewarding piece of placement by his connections. I Can Boogy came good over track and trip recently and appears a big danger. Sir Maxi and Serengeti Sunrise are appealing each-way options.

Bossy Parker is a solid candidate but I CAN BOOGY won cosily in a similar C&D event 11 days ago and she can follow up.

10/3(+17%) | (3) Flowstate 10/3, Too keen but saw it out well landing a handicap by a nose off a 2lb lower mark here last time; effective 6/7f, acts on S, GF and AW; consistent sort should go well once more. 2-3 over C&D and recent win can be upgraded; big player despite latest 2lb rise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/1 +50%)Novak |
5/1(+50%) | (4) Novak 5/1, Too keen and did not see it out when beaten 2 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark here last time. Effective at 6/7f. Mark keeps easing. C&D win off 3lb higher last September; solid fourth last time but needs more to take this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (8/1 +0%)Bobby Joe Leg |

Veteran can go well again. Veteran who arrives in form and has conditions to suit; should be in the thick of it again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (12/1 -71%)Lessay |
12/1(-71%) | (6) Lessay 12/1, No-show from off the pace when seventh, beaten 4l off 65 last time and 2lb lower here. Effective at 7/8f and acts on AW. Still on a competitive mark. Stablemate of Tasever; on a handy mark and this should be run to suit; could fare better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (10/1 -54%)Concert Boy |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (7/2 -27%)Tasever |
7/2(-27%) | (1) Tasever 7/2, Bit keen but showed good attitude when landing a handicap by a neck off a 6lb lower mark here last time. Effective over 7/8f and mainly campaigned on AW these days. Fair chance under a penalty. All 6 wins here, the latest on Tuesday (1m); needs more off a 6lb higher mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (3/1 +25%)Front Gunner |
3/1(+25%) | (7) Front Gunner 3/1, Ran to form when beaten a nose off a 1lb lower mark here last time. Enjoys making it and suited by 7f. This C&D suits and he can go well again. Narrowly denied by Flowstate over C&D nine days ago; other pace in today's field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (22/1 -22%)Saisons D'or |
22/1(-22%) | (5) Saisons D'or 22/1, Found little when beaten 7l in a handicap here last time, having been in good form prior. Returning from a break and effective over 7/8f. Bounce back needed. Still capable as a 10yo, winning at Catterick in August; in competitive race after a break. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Six-time course winner Tasever is taken seriously, despite picking up a 5lb penalty for Tuesday's success over a mile here, while Flowstate commands respect after edging out Front Gunner over C&D. However, there could be some value in giving NOVAK another throw of the dice. Iain Jardine's gelding is a dual track-and-trip scorer and is highly dangerous to underestimate from 3lb below his last winning mark. Mohammed Tabti notably enhances that by claiming 5lb.

In what should be a well-run affair, clear preference is for FLOWSTATE (nap) who remains unexposed over a stiff 7f.

2nd (2) (8/1 +64%)Derrygarran Lad |
8/1(+64%) | (2) Derrygarran Lad 8/1, Showed some promise when third, beaten 5l, in a maiden here on debut. Effective over 7f on AW and likely to improve for the step up in trip. Finished 1l behind Henry Halflight over 7f here on last month's debut; improvement a must. |

11/8(-89%) | (1) L L Koulsty 11/8, Improved from his debut for experience when winning an auction race at Cork by a nose last time. Has a wide draw, is effective over 6/7f and could have more to offer up in trip under a penalty on his AW debut. Strong finish to win at Cork in September (6f; form franked); leading claims under penalty. |

4th (4) (10/3 -21%)Lakota Chief |
10/3(-21%) | (4) Lakota Chief 10/3, Looked to want further on promising debut 3 1/2l fourth in a maiden here first-time out; stamina on dam's side, may want further than 7f, acts on AW; big, strong sort, should improve. Odds-on for debut here last month (7f) but too green to do himself justice; should improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (12/1 +64%)Lorton Valley |
12/1(+64%) | (5) Lorton Valley 12/1, Ulysses gelding and half-brother to Raffles Angel, who was useful at 6f. This is not a strong race and he could easily have a say on debut. Half-brother to three winners; starts out in a modest event; stable run two here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (250/1 -150%)Thependleburyfox |
250/1(-150%) | (9) Thependleburyfox 250/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability; sprint-bred but has not displayed any speed so far. Has plenty to prove at present. Poor form in two course runs this winter; no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (22/1 -57%)Henry Halflight |
22/1(-57%) | (6) Henry Halflight 22/1, Stayed on well when runner-up, beaten 4l, in a maiden here on his only start, shaping with promise. Trainer is in form, effective over 7f on AW and should improve. Modest form but some promise when 2nd of five here (7f) on debut; 1m a plus on breeding. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (40/1 -60%)Hengist Pod |
40/1(-60%) | (3) Hengist Pod 40/1, Head high and green under pressure when fourth, beaten 3 1/2l, in a novice at Wolverhampton last time. Has a nice middle-distance pedigree and is a slow learner who remains open to further progress. Second run was a huge step forward from his debut; capable of further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (40/1 +0%)Rocky River |
40/1(+0%) | (7) Rocky River 40/1, 13,000 euros Fascinating Rock gelding; half-brother to Fantasy World, who was smart at 14f, while the dam was poor at 9f. Trainer is in form and he could easily have a say on debut. Half-brother to three winners out of a winner in Germany; yard also run Henry Halflight. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

L L Koulsty finished his juvenile campaign with a breakthrough victory at Cork and there is likely more to come. However, he lacks a recent run and a penalty demands more of him. With that in mind, it could be worth chancing SILKY LASS, who has reached the frame on her last two outings and won't be found wanting for fitness. Henry Halflight and Lakota Chief are others of interest.

The form of L L KOULSTY's Cork win looks strong and he can defy a penalty. Lakota Chief may be best of the rest.

6/5(+60%) | (5) Digital 6/5, Ran to form despite not enjoying the best of runs when fifth here last time. Trainer in form; effective at 5/6f and goes well off the front. In form and can remain competitive off this mark. Two C&D wins this winter; still looked in form last time when hampered; should be involved. |

2nd (9) (12/1 +0%)Shatin Venture |
12/1(+0%) | (9) Shatin Venture 12/1, Better off a reduced mark when beaten 2l off this rating at Wolverhampton last time. Effective at 5f and on a workable mark if building on that latest effort. C&D winner; fair form this winter but a career best will be needed to come out on top. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (50/1 -100%)Toomuchforme |
50/1(-100%) | (2) Toomuchforme 50/1, Again ran to a poor level when well beaten in a handicap at Southwell last time. Visor fitted for the first time; effective at 6f but yet to match her 2yo form. Struggling for current yard; tumbled down weights and now tried in a visor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (13/2 -95%)Azucena |
13/2(-95%) | (7) Azucena 13/2, Improved again when second, beaten a neck off 57 last time and now 2lb higher. Suited by 5f and consistent of late. C&D win and a good second at Southwell since blinkers went on; should go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (9/1 -13%)La Rochette |
9/1(-13%) | (8) La Rochette 9/1, Did her best work late when beaten 1 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark here last time. Wide draw to contend with and the mark continues to ease. Handicap mark has tumbled and her last two runs have been more promising; not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (17/2 +47%)Correspondence |
17/2(+47%) | (1) Correspondence 17/2, Returned to form when second, beaten 4l in a novice at Wolverhampton last time. Effective at 6/7f; has a bit to prove back in a handicap and down in trip. Second of four in a 6f novice nine days ago, looking a hard ride; others look safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (33/1 +0%)Nazca |
33/1(+0%) | (10) Nazca 33/1, Again ran to a poor level when beaten 6l in a classified race here last time. Blinkers fitted for the first time; suited by 6f and hard to fancy. Poor form this winter and the drop in trip/addition of blinkers not enough to tempt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (5/1 -67%)Em Jay Kay |
5/1(-67%) | (6) Em Jay Kay 5/1, Travelled strongly, ran to form and just did enough to land a handicap by a head off a 2lb lower mark at Lingfield last time. Visor fitted for the first time; can again go well. Gained this winter's wins at 6f but ran well over C&D last month; new headgear today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (12/1 +40%)Orbital Chime |
12/1(+40%) | (3) Orbital Chime 12/1, Well held in a higher grade when eighth, beaten 6 1/4l off 66 last time, and now 2lb lower. Effective at 5-7f and acts on AW; struggling since his autumn win. Good mark on best form but his recent efforts have been underwhelming; needs a revival. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having followed a close-up third over C&D with a triumph at Lingfield, this could prove a suitable opportunity for EM JAY KAY to double up. A 2lb nudge up the ratings is effectively negated by Connor Planas' 3lb claim and the introduction of a visor may unlock some improvement. Digital has enjoyed a resurgence of late and shouldn't be far away, while Correspondence and Azucena are other key players.

Azucena beat DIGITAL and two other reopposing rivals over C&D last month but the placings may be reversed today.
Ths is the racecard key.
