However, there could be some value in giving NOVAK another throw of the dice. Iain Jardine's gelding is a dual track-and-trip scorer and is highly dangerous to underestimate from 3lb below his last winning mark. Mohammed Tabti notably enhances that by claiming 5lb.

With that in mind, it could be worth chancing SILKY LASS, who has reached the frame on her last two outings and won't be found wanting for fitness. Henry Halflight and Lakota Chief are others of interest.

The form of L L KOULSTY's Cork win looks strong and he can defy a penalty. Lakota Chief may be best of the rest.

Having followed a close-up third over C&D with a triumph at Lingfield, this could prove a suitable opportunity for EM JAY KAY to double up. A 2lb nudge up the ratings is effectively negated by Connor Planas' 3lb claim and the introduction of a visor may unlock some improvement. Digital has enjoyed a resurgence of late and shouldn't be far away, while Correspondence and Azucena are other key players.

Azucena beat DIGITAL and two other reopposing rivals over C&D last month but the placings may be reversed today.
