14:12 Newcastle (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Without Compromise won easily over C&D in December, but he has a bit to prove now off a 10lb higher mark having been well beaten back here subsequently. INAPPROPRIATE makes more appeal after finishing a solid second here in first-time blinkers. The headgear remains in place and Jedd O'Keeffe's charge is taken to go one better. Knockbrex won off a similar mark at the track in November and also merits respect.

A weak race for the grade, lacking a standout. With Jack Callan (1-1) back in the saddle, the tentative suggestion is KNOCKBREX.

14:42 Newcastle (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

AMERJEET has been threatening to end his barren spell. Michael Herrington's son of Blue Point caught the eye running on late to grab second over C&D and he can launch another strong challenge. Shatin Venture also found only one too good here recently. He can account for Azucena (fourth) once again and make his presence felt, while Okami is not out of it with Jack Callan's allowance helping his cause.

The booking of Billy Loughnane for AMERJEET (nap) is enough to tilt the scales towards Michael Herrington's runner.

15:12 Newcastle (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Seven Fires has to be of interest on her solid third at Chelmsford. Saying that, Ed Walker trained the winner on that occasion and that could give the Lambourn handler a good line on the chances of COMPRADOR. The son of No Nay Never shaped with plenty of promise at Lingfield on debut, when beaten less than a length into third, and the subsequent victory of the runner-up adds substance to the form. Celtic Arrow looks the pick of the remainder.

The pair to focus on are Seven Fires and COMPRADOR, with a clear preference for Ed Walker's runner.

15:42 Newcastle (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DANDY MAGIC went under by the narrowest of margins over C&D before getting going too late over 5f. She is turned out again quickly and can make the most of the extra furlong. True Promise was hot on her heels when sent off favourite for last week's race and is another who will appreciate the step up in trip. Novak is working his way back into form, although this distance is at the lower end of his spectrum. Alpine Girl has to be respected on her return to the fray.

Dandy Magic is virtually guaranteed to run her usual solid race. However, TRUE PROMISE is favoured back over a more suitable trip.

16:12 Newcastle (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BROTHER DAVE showed fine resolution on his reappearance to hold on at Southwell and backed that performance up when getting closest to a subsequent scorer over the same track and trip. He is most effective at that venue, but has gone well here before and is just about the form horse in the line-up. Spun To Gold took a big step back in the right direction when runner-up over 6f here and he won on his last try at this distance. Age Of Time has been beaten less than a length on his last two starts, and Pallas Lord cannot be dismissed lightly.

This could be the time to catch a seemingly back-to-form SPUN TO GOLD. Ian Williams' runner Age of Time is the principal danger.

16:42 Newcastle (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having secured a ninth career victory at Wolverhampton, Bomb Squad merits respect in his bid to follow up. However, a 2lb higher mark does demand close to a career-best performance from the veteran and HABRDI may prove to be slightly better treated. Ruth Carr's gelding arrives on the back of a close-up third at Southwell and a 1lb nudge up the ratings might prove lenient. Jkr Cobbler is also of interest dropping in class.

Provided his latest effort is backed up, HABRDI may belatedly record a first success since joining his current stable.

17:12 Newcastle (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having recorded some useful form when trained by Aidan O'Brien, MAESTRO BERNSTEIN may put his experience to good use. The impeccably-bred four-year-old was last seen finishing a good third at Leopardstown and he sets a clear standard. Market confidence behind 750,000gns newcomer Domenico Contarini would be interesting and he's an obvious danger, with fellow expensive purchase Midsummer Storm completing the shortlist.

Maestro Bernstein is the form choice, while DOMENICO CONTARINI and Midsummer Storm are very interesting newcomers.

17:42 Newcastle (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Although foiled in her hat-trick bid when runner-up at Southwell, Dream Illusion isn't easily dismissed in her current form. However, Michael Herrington's filly may have to play second fiddle once more, with Lingfield scorer UNION ISLAND fancied to follow up. The introduction of cheekpieces appeared to improve the five-year-old and there could be more to come. How's The Guvnor is the pick of the remainder.

If still in peak form after some quick runs, DREAM ILLUSION should have some potential back at 1m. Union Island is next best.
