The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BIG STORM BREWING was sent off joint-favourite at Ayr on the back of an encouraging Doncaster second, but did himself no favours by refusing to settle. He is worth another chance, though, especially as a slightly sounder surface here will be in his favour. Leader Wing was also a costly failure on his latest start, but is a threat if judged instead on his previous near-miss at Musselburgh. Green Bonnet is worth a look on her return from a break, and Miss Friday Lions isn't out of it either.

A low-key opener. The suggestion is the Kelso scorer TAKE A HIKE, who has had legitimate excuses (trip and ground) the last twice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HUIT REFLETS has been so reliable for a good while now and again ran to form when runner-up at Sedgefield. He has done most of his recent racing at that venue, but there is no reason why he won't be effective here and he is the safest option in a race where the majority of his rivals have questions to answer. Singapore Trip made a solid enough return to chasing when third at Market Rasen, while Hawkseye View is a longstanding maiden but can get involved.

The choice is HAWKSEYE VIEW\, who has yet to win over fences but ran a decent race last time and is just preferred to Huit Reflets.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

John McConnell must always be respected on his UK raids so it won't be a surprise if MINELLA SUPREME can show his appreciation for the drop in trip. The six-year-old didn't disgrace himself at Cheltenham before a less encouraging Thurles display, but those races were over 3m and an extended 2m6f respectively and he struck over just short of this distance at Kilbeggan prior. The penalised pair Silver Hill and Sanilam are dangerous, and it is worth taking into consideration 80,000-pounds point-to-point recruit Talk To The Boss.

A chance is taken on hurdles newcomer FINBARR, who shaped well when fourth in a bumper here on his debut. Silver Hill is next best.

BETTER BE DEFINITE looks the one to be on. It wasn't a surprise when he won at Ayr latest, judged on his encouraging fourth there in January, and another bold showing looks assured from this likeable stayer. The biggest threat might be his stable companion Whiskey On Ice, who posted an improved Musselburgh performance. C&D scorer Parish Quiz is another expected to go well.

Nick Alexander holds a strong hand. However, Rebecca Menzies' C&D winner PARISH QUIZ (nap) might have got off lightly with a 5lb rise.

PASSING PLEASURE will no doubt prove popular and he's taken to complete the hat-trick in style. An impressive winner over timber at Musselburgh before an assured performance at Catterick on his chase bow, there could be any amount of improvement to come from the six-year-old. The main danger is the in-form C&D winner Uptown Harry, while Jamesieconn also has a squeak.

In a tricky race the vote goes to PASSING PLEASURE, who is from an in-form yard and is unexposed over fences.

It takes a good horse to win a bumper under a penalty and although PEACE BELLE has been off for 188 days, it might not have been a bad race she won at Hexham given the second franked the form by going one better at Sedgefield. On that basis, she could be up to the task and gets the nod ahead of Uttoxeter runner-up Rainbow Tara and Wetherby third Dolly Drama.

The pair to concentrate on could be Dolly Drama and LADY WALK ON BYE. The selection, a 75,000euros 3yo, is an intriguing newcomer.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK.
