16/5(+29%) | (3) Creatif 16/5, Ex-French; comfortably held in a novice over 12f at Ripon on GB debut running close to French form; back in trip, off a break and bit to prove, but unexposed and just had a wind operation Promise in France; tailed off on yard debut but gelding/wind ops since; retains potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (5/1 +58%)Molinari |
5/1(+58%) | (7) Molinari 5/1, Travelled best, but didn't find that much when asked to quicken when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 68 here last time gamely; in good form, C&D winner and should go close Won here on final two runs last year; might need this comeback with entitled to respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (4/1 +78%)Sea Legend |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (13/8 +46%)King Chaos |
13/8(+46%) | (1) King Chaos 13/8, Well backed when winning a novice at Southwell over 11f by 5l last time, but head high and hung under pressure; capable of better than has shown and big threat, but attitude a worry Won Southwell novice in December and he could have potential off his opening mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (100/1 -257%)Cougar |
100/1(-257%) | (4) Cougar 100/1, Lost form over hurdles and down the field in a handicap here on return to the Flat; fair mark based on Irish form, but not proven on AW and wellbeing to prove Well beaten over hurdles early this year and same story over C&D on recent stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (14/1 -211%)Cusack |
14/1(-211%) | (8) Cusack 14/1, Gave the strong impression further would suit when staying on and going away for win here over 7f by 1/2l off 67 over 7f last time; trainer in form; form on an upward trajectory and has bug chance His recent course wins have been over 7f but he's versatile trip-wise; contender. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The progressive KING CHAOS rates the pick of this bunch after getting off the mark in a relatively cosy manner over 1m3f at Southwell in December. The son of Kingman did show signs of greenness in that race but eventually knuckled down to register a five-length success. Cadarn was readily brushed aside by the selection when they met in a novice stakes here on his latest appearance. With that in mind, the fully-exposed hat-trick seekers Molinari and Cusack could be the pair fighting it out for second.

Newmarket trainer George Boughey operates at a very healthy 21% strike-rate here and CADARN is taken to make a winning handicap debut.

1st (2) (5/6 -35%)Bruce Banner |
5/6(-35%) | (2) Bruce Banner 5/6, Couple of good efforts over C&D recently including when scoring by a head off 57 at Kempton on penultimate start; third beaten 3l off 58 last time; has very little in the way of opposition In good form at Kempton and has been found a very weak race for his stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/1 +11%)Bellator Bullet |
4/1(+11%) | (1) Bellator Bullet 4/1, Probably needed race beaten 10l in a handicap over 10f at Chelmsford last time, but initial promise in maiden on debt evaporated in next three starts; could threaten if recaptures form of that debut run Hasn't kicked on from promising debut but he could improve for his recent reappearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (9/4 +32%)U S Grant |
9/4(+32%) | (3) U S Grant 9/4, Last in four of five races and made very little impression when 6th of 9 after a wind operation last time; very difficult to make a case for Has shown very little but by Camelot and could improve for the step up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (25/1 -25%)Max The Tiger |
25/1(-25%) | (4) Max The Tiger 25/1, Last all four starts and well beaten at that; steps up markedly in trip and breeding suggests that is a positive, but there are none apart from that Failed to beat a rival across his four 2yo starts but the step up in trip could help. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BRUCE BANNER has swapped yards twice since he won gamely at Kempton in January and appears to have been found a good opportunity to make a winning start for Rebecca Menzies. The son of Starspangledbanner has improved since being stepped up to middle distances and, with the likes of U S Grant and Bellator Bullet having shown very little to get excited about so far, this could be a straightforward task for the three-year-old.

On the face of it this looks an excellent opportunity for BRUCE BANNER to make a winning stable debut.

28/1(+30%) | (10) Carida 28/1, Briefly not clear run close home when beaten 9 1/4l in a maiden at Wolverhampton on debut; open to marked improvement, but plenty needed Encouraging fifth on recent debut and she's an interesting contender on this second start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (40/1 +20%)City Of Strangers |
40/1(+20%) | (11) City Of Strangers 40/1, Out-kicked in a slowly run race on debut and could be flattered as suggested by moderate effort second start; up in trip; off a break; bit to prove Displayed some ability last September; new trip but others have more substance to claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (200/1 -150%)One More Bottle |
200/1(-150%) | (1) One More Bottle 200/1, Poor in bumpers, but showed some ability on the Flat over C&D last time after being slowly away and finishing 11l third in a maiden; probably something more to come Well beaten in both bumpers and same story here on his two Flat starts (1m/7f). |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (150/1 -50%)Hurricane Bea |
150/1(-50%) | (5) Hurricane Bea 150/1, Green on modest debut and probably needed the race when well beaten in a maiden here latest; should do better, but needs to improve to contend Well beaten on both starts (C&D latest) and dramatic improvement is required. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (2) (100/1 -355%)Sogannie |
100/1(-355%) | (2) Sogannie 100/1, Third beaten 8 1/4l in a novice here on fairly promising debut; should improve for that run, but has a lot to find Half-sister to four winners who is open to improvement on second start; not ruled out e-w. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Georgecandoit and DOUBLE PARKED set the standard on the official ratings and while the former was consistent in a six-race campaign as a juvenile, the latter is less exposed and caught the eye with a close-up third-place finish in a maiden here last month. That run should have put an edge on the son of Bated Breath and his match-fitness could be the telling factor. Princess Pw appeals most from the rest with experience, while the debutants Four Fifty and Bin Ajwad merit betting checks.

Preference is for SHAMADOR, who was runner-up over C&D on last September's debut and has been gelded since his last run.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (4/1 -20%)Naallat |
4/1(-20%) | (4) Naallat 4/1, Frankel filly; half-sister to Kaasirr, useful at 8f; dam very smart at 8f at 2yo winning Listed Montrose Stakes; trainer in form; very interesting debutant Frankel half-sister to winners Kaasirr (7f/1m; RPR 80) and Tarraff (1m4f; 80); dam useful. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (14/1 +30%)Word Of Mouth |
14/1(+30%) | (8) Word Of Mouth 14/1, Made significant improvement second start after a modest debut when beaten 2 1/4l in a novice at Southwell; should improve again and can contend Not the form pick, but capable of better after she met trouble in running at Southwell. |

5th (1) (16/1 -100%)Bun Bang Fai |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (33/1 +0%)Princess Amber |
33/1(+0%) | (6) Princess Amber 33/1, Fair effort on debut beaten 5l in a novice over 7f at Southwell; up in trip; off a short-break; should improve, but does have a bit to find with market leaders 22-1, always midfield when showing modest form in novice at Southwell (7f, AW) in February. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (100/1 -203%)Star Cast |
100/1(-203%) | (7) Star Cast 100/1, Went quick in front and hung on grimly for a creditable 7l third in a novice at Yarmouth last time improving hugely on two moderate runs prior; needs to progress again Last go for Sir Mark Prescott when front-running 3rd at Yarmouth (1m, soft); 17,000gns buy. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Noche Clasica, Naallat and Bun Bang Fai all make their respective debuts and each make a certain level of appeal although the former, a 100,000gns purchase, might prove the strongest. However, the vote goes to JOWDDAH. Roger Varian's filly, who hit the woodwork on each of her three starts as a juvenile, can count herself unfortunate given the horses she lost out to. She ought to have strengthened up over the winter though and if picking up from where she left off, looks to have every chance of recording an overdue maiden success.

The clear standard is set by three-time runner-up JOWDDAH. Newcomers Naallat (same owner) and Noche Clasica need a close check.

22/1(-120%) | (4) Solar Aclaim 22/1, In good form towards the end of last season and bang to form beaten a length off 85 at Doncaster final start; first time on Tapeta; off a break, but chance if straight enough Unproven on AW but ended last season in good form on turf; makes reappearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (5/1 +23%)Monks Dream |
5/1(+23%) | (8) Monks Dream 5/1, Quickened clear takingly when well backed and landed handicap by 2l off 77 over 5f here last time; gets 6f; goes well here; can rate more highly and could defy 6lb rise Three wins from six course visits; on a career-high mark but still a key player. |

13th (3) (8/1 +20%)Gressington |
8/1(+20%) | (3) Gressington 8/1, Redcar winner by 1/2l off 82 in September, bit below that final start of 2024 up to current mark; returns to 6f here and off a break; may just need run 6f win at Redcar last September; not ruled out now back down in trip on reappearance. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A competitive sprint in which only a tentative vote can be afforded to GRANT WOOD. Down the field in the Ayr Silver Cup in September, Paul Midgley's charge returned to action with a creditable second at Wolverhampton last month and is a real player off the same mark, especially given his favourable draw. Monks Dream was on target over 5f here last month and although 6lb higher, should appreciate a return to further. Solar Aclaim found steady progress in handicaps last season and he catches the eye back from a break, while others to note include Jungle Land and William Dewhirst.

Jessica Macey's horses are running well and JENEVER, who has a solid record here, earns the vote ahead of Monks Dream.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (18/1 -29%)Hidden Verse |
18/1(-29%) | (9) Hidden Verse 18/1, Minor promise in novices, but far too free on handicap debut and down the field over 7f at Lingfield; first time on Tapeta; not proven trip; lot of questions to answer Well beaten over 7f on h'cap debut but pulled hard and could appreciate this shorter trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FRANCIS DRAKE was touched off by an improver on his handicap debut at Lingfield recently, but the son of Belardo is fancied to make amends and go one place better despite a 3lb rise. Snow Creek enters handicaps from a potentially workable mark and must enter calculations along with Sun Keeper, who hit the crossbar over 5f here last time out and is sure to appreciate the extra furlong today.

Having been caught in the final stride over 7f on his recent handicap debut at Lingfield, FRANCIS DRAKE (nap) is taken to go one better.

A highly promising second when not getting the clearest of runs over C&D last month on his first start for new connections, CUBAN FIESTA looks capable of breaking the maiden at the 12th time of asking. That may be at the main expense of Rooska, who was back to form with a strong runner-up effort over 7f here most recently. Impeach and Odd Socks Havana are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

Having run well at Southwell three weeks ago, six-time course winner POP FAVORITE is taken to return to winning ways now back here.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A revelation on his first start for new connections when scoring comfortably over C&D last month, CORAMENTO is likely to have more improvement forthcoming and he can follow up off 4lb higher. Behind him on that occasion were the reopposing Wyvern (second) and Just Typical (third), who are well capable of being involved in proceedings once again. Not outside the first two on each of his last four starts, Urban Dandy cannot be ruled out either.

The lightly raced 4yo CORAMENTO made a successful handicap and stable debut here last time and can build on that.
Ths is the racecard key.
