The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PERSIAN PHOENIX travelled with serious purpose to score in good style at Lingfield and now has a 5lb penalty to contend with. Considering the manner of that success, though, she looks tough to oppose. The hat-trick seeking Anificas Beauty commands huge respect after her comfortable victory in a classified stakes at Wolverhampton, while Made All is another to keep an eye on.

Having won in good style under today's rider Brodie Hampson on her last two starts, PERSIAN PHOENIX can complete the hat-trick.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Warrior Mode wasn't disgraced in fourth under a penalty at Wolverhampton and the son of Night Of Thunder may have lots more to offer. Even so, ESTRELLA DIVINA looks the way to go. Jack Channon's four-year-old made a pleasing introduction when fourth at Yarmouth and would have learned plenty from that experience. Any market confidence behind newcomer Marquis Pompeo would be interesting.

Preference is for Wolverhampton winner WARRIOR MODE, who was a very close fourth in a warm novice there last time.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (250/1 -279%)Contest |
250/1(-279%) | (5) Contest 250/1, Beaten 8l in a maiden at Thirsk on debut; trip ok; Tapeta debut; needs big leap forward 66-1 when soundly beaten sixth of nine on debut at Thirsk (7f, good) three weeks ago. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Champion Again Ole has shown ability in both of his starts, but more would have been expected when failing to justify favouritism in third at Catterick last time. He is passed over for EXCELLENT BELIEVE. The son of Make Believe took a big leap forward from his racecourse bow to run out a five-length victor at Nottingham and it would be no surprise to see him go in again. 90,000-euro purchase Night Tara needs to be monitored in the market.

Impressive Nottingham winner EXCELLENT BELIEVE can defy a penalty and follow up to provide Jack Channon with yet another winner.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CALLIANASSA chased home a couple of nice types when finishing third at Haydock. Brian Ellison's filly looked outpaced that day so stepping up from 7f could elicit the necessary improvement. Starliner gained a deserved success at Hamilton so is respected from 2lb higher now back on an artificial surface. Others to note include Beechdale and Ajdayet.

The 3yo Kameel is 2-2 here and is an intriguing candidate but QUIET RESOLVE also likes it here and is taken to come out on top.

10/1(-54%) | (7) Anna Swan 10/1, Best effort to date second beaten 3l in Agnes Keyser Fillies' Stakes (Listed) at Goodwood latest; first race on AW; trip suits; needs another step forward but can't be discounted Front-running 2nd in Listed race at Goodwood (1m2f, soft); this AW debut demands much more. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

It looks best to side with DIAMOND RAIN, who made it three wins from five when landing Listed honours at Haydock. The Shamardal filly will need to prove herself on an artificial surface but, if handling conditions, she will be tough to beat. Morrophore was an impressive winner at Ascot and is well worth considering now upped in class. Market support for Tasmania, who hasn't been seen since finishing sixth in the Pretty Polly at the Curragh a year ago, would be noteworthy.

Charlotte's Web is hugely respected but AW newcomer DIAMOND RAIN is the pick after her Haydock win.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Vintage Clarets landed this prize in 2023 and is interesting once again following a creditable fifth in the Dash at Epsom, but it is last year's victor BERGERAC who gets the nod. On target at Hamilton earlier this month, Kevin Ryan's charge is 1lb well-in under the penalty. That leaves him 3lb higher than when landing the corresponding event 12 months ago, but he remains competitively treated nonetheless. Jakajaro is an infrequent winner in truth, but he continues to edge down the weights and is drawn well.

The last two winners of this race line up again and VINTAGE CLARETS (nap) can get the better of Bergerac.

It took a while for MISS RAINBOW to get off the mark but, now that she has, the four-year-old continues to go from strength to strength and a 4lb rise for her most recent success over further at Catterick may prove lenient. Just denied when short of room and running on late at Wetherby, Newyorkstateofmind is capable of being in the shake-up again, as is Pockley, who has an excellent record here. Others to note include Gis A Sub, Highjacked and King Of The Jungle.

Top of the list is MISS RAINBOW, who is on a roll after her two turf wins and may well be able to strike again back on AW.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Narrowly denied on her last two starts, KELDEO deserves a change in luck and this appeals as an ideal opportunity for Ollie Pears' filly to get back to winning ways. That may be at the main expense of Parisiac, who has run with credit since scoring off 5lb lower at Hamilton last month. Herakles and surprise Pontefract winner Speeding Bullet may also have a say in proceedings.

3lb well in after a good second at Southwell ten days ago, this looks a good opportunity for KELDEO to record a first AW success.
Ths is the racecard key.
