Coedana made a successful handicap debut at Southwell and could have lots more to offer. However, a 6lb hike demands more of her now she steps up in class and preference is for the stoutly-bred DANCINGINTHERAIN, who is introduced to handicapping on a workable mark. The Godolphin-owned filly is a tempting proposition based on her potential to be more focused with cheekpieces added now she rises in distance. Last-time C&D winner Timeless Charm is another notable option.

Top of the list is COEDANA (nap), who kicked off her handicap career with a smooth success at Southwell and is open to more progress.

Due for an 8lb rise in future handicaps after she made all for a ready success at Thirsk, MAX OF STARS has to be worth a shot on these terms in a very winnable race. Fellow last-time scorers Wyld Bill, who picks up a penalty for his Chelmsford victory, and the consistent Daring Leader can make this a good test for the selection. Royal Blaze has also held his form well of late and could be a player if adapting to the tongue-tie/cheekpieces combination.

This is highly competitive but the vote goes to MAX OF STARS, who escapes a penalty for her emphatic success at Thirsk 11 days ago.

On her introduction, VENCEDORA finished third behind a filly who was pitched into a Group 3 on her next start and the Karl Burke-trained potential improver gets the vote. Creative Queen, an 800,000-euro breeze-up purchase, is the most obvious danger based on that hefty price tag. As a half-sister to Group 2-winning sprinter Valiant Force, there is a lot to like about William Haggas' newcomer. Akademy Lady is another appealing debutant to consider.

The vote goes to CREATIVE QUEEN, who cost 800,000euros at a breeze-up sale in May and has plenty of speed in her smart pedigree.

Beach Partee battled on well to win by a head at Brighton, but he a 6lb penalty to shoulder and is only due to go up 4lb for future races. Martha's Shadow stepped up on previous efforts when second at Catterick and she can go well, but WOODY Y FERNANDEZ looks the one. Only beaten a nose at Windsor last month, when caught late on and clear of the third, he is fancied to go one better.

Beach Partee is the only winner in the field but he may be vulnerable under a penalty. SPIRIT STAR could go well back sprinting.

LIVONIAN has to give weight away to all of his rivals but impressed when winning at Windsor by an eased-down four lengths, after being beaten a nose on his debut. Canopus chased the selection home after a slow start last time and reopposes on 7lb better terms so has to be feared. Newcomers Surprise Rally and Wesam represent powerful Newmarket stables and are worth a market watch.

There is a 7lb turnaround in the weights today but LIVONIAN is fancied to confirm Windsor superiority over Canopus.

Uncle Sam won here as a juvenile over shorter and ran well this year before a seventh at Catterick, where he failed to handle the track. He can go well off 1lb lower, while the improving Reenie's Dream's half-length Carlisle second makes her a big player. BEAUTY BLOSSOM didn't see out the mile when fourth in a Redcar novice event last month but she could surprise on her handicap debut off a mark of 61, which looks pretty generous.

A few runners of interest but REENIE'S DREAM has run well in both handicap starts and remains capable of better.

Having justified favouritism at Pontefract last week, this could prove a suitable opportunity for MISSMIMI to complete a quickfire double. Tina Jackson's mare makes plenty of appeal off an unchanged mark and is taken to repel Newyorkstateofmind, who arrives on the back of a close-up second over C&D. Let's Go Hugo finished in front that day, but a 5lb penalty will make life tougher.

Competitive for the grade but the two recent winners MISSMIMI and Let's Go Hugo can dominate proceedings.

OCEAN ODYSSEY returned to form with a close-up second at Kempton and is 2lb well-in. James Owen's charge scored on Tapeta on his stable bow at Southwell at the beginning of August and he gets the nod. Last-time-out winners Bernalda and Izzari merit respect in their follow-up bids, with the former open to more improvement in the retained blinkers. Hale End can also have a say in proceedings.

Preference is for BERNALDA who made the breakthrough with her comfortable win at Wolverhampton three weeks ago.
Ths is the racecard key.
