Paddy O'Mahler's jumping let him down at Wetherby when odds-on to confirm the promise of his chasing debut second. There will be plenty who keep the faith but a safer option might be COSMIC BLIZZARD, who only just failed to catch a subsequent winner at Kelso and the reapplication of cheekpieces could help spark that little bit of improvement necessary for him to go one better. Jo Coko hasn't been seen since February but commands attention on his handicap/fencing/stable bow.

Preference is for the promise of lightly raced and unexposed JO COKO, who makes his stable, handicap and chase debut.

WALK ON QUEST will be sharper for a recent comeback run and will also appreciate the drop in trip. He landed a four-timer over fences last season and, only 2lb higher than when successful at Kelso in March, the six-year-old should have more to offer this term. Jet Legs also returns to a shorter distance with solid claims on his victory at Hexham back in March, while Joecooker showed some promise at Carlisle on his chasing bow.

The lightly raced 6yo JOECOOKER made an encouraging start to his chase career at Carlisle and earns the vote now back in a handicap.

There was a lot to like about TEA BOY's debut at Hexham back in March. He finished a respectable second to a subsequent winner over hurdles on that occasion and a recent outing at Catterick should have brought Peter Atkinson's charge on a good deal. Last month's Hexham fifth Ronnie Russet is a likely improver, while Thorneylands and L'appel Du Large are newcomers to note.

The standard set by those who have raced isn't a strong one and this could go to debutant THORNEYLANDS for the in-form Nicky Richards.
