|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (18/1 -260%)Meelaf |
18/1(-260%) | (1) Meelaf 18/1, Didn't see it out beaten 7l in the Empress Fillies' Stakes (Listed) here last time; trainer in form; may not stay truly run 6f, acts on good First run on fast ground when below par last time; case can be made on earlier form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

AZLEET took a step forward at Southwell when running away with her maiden by five lengths. Although the form looks questionable, if she can break smartly and get to the lead, she may do the same thing here. Sayidah Hard Spun was always doing enough to win an Ascot nursery by a head and looks a serious danger, despite an added 3lb. The lightly-raced Awaafi may do better attacking late off a faster pace.

Having beaten an improving sort at Ascot, SAYIDAH HARD SPUN is taken to make it 2-2 in nurseries. Awaafi may be the chief threat.

1st (2) (11/2 +8%)Inis Mor |
11/2(+8%) | (2) Inis Mor 11/2, 12 Feb; 72,000 euros Galiway filly; dam smart at 16f; likely to need time and distance to realise potential Trainer (runs two debutantes) has had a few 2yo newcomers go well at big prices this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (6/4 +50%)Si Grass |
6/4(+50%) | (5) Si Grass 6/4, 14 Mar; 43,000 euros Churchill filly; half-sister to Sirona, high-class at 8f; dam high-class at 8f; yard tend to have them ready 43,000euros y'ling; half-sister to Listed winner Sirona; could have part to play on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/10 -38%)Kaori |
11/10(-38%) | (3) Kaori 11/10, Interference was incidental and just fair debut when 5 1/2l fourth in a novice at Newbury first-time out; bred to be a miler; should make normal improvement and go well enough Fourth of nine on debut at Newbury; attractive pedigree; could have plenty more to offer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (33/1 -32%)Pipily |
33/1(-32%) | (4) Pipily 33/1, Similar modest effort to debut when comfortably held in a maiden here last time; yet to really show worthwhile form She's had her backers on both starts but has been well beaten on each occasion. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (20/1 +29%)India Gold |
20/1(+29%) | (1) India Gold 20/1, 28 Apr; 7,500 euros Galileo Gold filly; half-sister to Dolce Vitta, very useful from 6f to 7f at 2yo; dam useful at 6f at 2yo; could be quite sharp Trainer has healthy strike-rate this season but isn't known for 2yo winners nowadays. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KAORI was not disgraced when fourth on her sole start at Newbury, when she was hampered a furlong out before weakening late on. She can only improve for the experience and should know more about what is needed now. India Gold has the breeding to be effective at this trip and is worth a market watch ahead of her debut, whereas Si Grass may come into her own over further later in the season.

The attractively bred KAORI showed some promise when fourth on her debut at Newbury and can put that experience to good use.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (12/1 -71%)Jane Temple |
12/1(-71%) | (2) Jane Temple 12/1, Yard has won 2 of last 5 runnings of race; back to form when 6 1/2l third in Aphrodite Fillies' Stakes (Listed) here most recent run; effective 1m4f-1m6f, acts on good to soft and good; largely consistent Third in C&D Listed last time (albeit no match for front two); open to further improvement. |

4/1(+20%) | (3) Karmology 4/1, Well backed, every chance, may have been best run when second beaten 3l in Charlie Wood Stakes (Listed) at Beverley latest; trainer in form; effective 1m2f-1m4f, acts on any; very consistent Runner-up in three Listed races this season and may well be thereabouts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (3/1 +54%)Meribella |
3/1(+54%) | (4) Meribella 3/1, Ran to form when 4l third in Pontefract Castle Fillies' Stakes (Listed) most recent run; suited by 1m4f, acts on good to soft and good to firm; very reliable Improvement possible if she settles better but work to do with Karmology on latest run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (25/1 -108%)Crystal Flyer |
25/1(-108%) | (1) Crystal Flyer 25/1, Below par again on fast ground when comfortably held in a handicap at Ascot last time; tongue-tie first time; suited by 1m4f, seems unsuited by fast ground; viable excuses last two starts Won AW handicap on reappearance but well beaten on both runs since; tongue-tie added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (14/1 -75%)Bowerchalke |
14/1(-75%) | (6) Bowerchalke 14/1, Improved back in a handicap up in trip when winning a handicap at Southwell over 11f by 2l last time; stays 1m3f well, acts on soft and good to firm; game and progressive Progressive in handicaps on fast ground/AW; worth another go in Listed grade; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (10/1 -150%)Sioux Life |
10/1(-150%) | (5) Sioux Life 10/1, Ran to GB form though looking to need a stiff test of stamina when comfortably held in Lester Piggott Fillies' Stakes (Group 3) at Haydock last time; off a short-break; stays 12f, probably needs testing conditions; flattered by Italian form Won Italian Group races last October; not at same level this year but still respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (16/1 -33%)Star Of Light |
16/1(-33%) | (8) Star Of Light 16/1, Yard has won 2 of last 5 runnings of race; looked very quirky in front when winning a handicap at Newbury over 1m5f by a head last time; acts on a sound surface; untrustworthy Improvement needed but dam won the Irish Oaks and stable has won 4 of last 10 runnings. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Sioux Life won a Group 2 at Capannelle on her last start in Italy but she has failed to reach that level in two starts for Marco Botti and has something to prove, despite a drop in class. Silent Love ran on well to get off the mark at Kempton and should have no trouble getting the extra furlong, but a chance is taken on STAR OF LIGHT. The Gosdens' three-year-old made all over further at Newbury to hold on by a head and may repeat those tactics successfully.

Perhaps this will go to one of the 3yos, with preference for progressive handicapper BOWERCHALKE ahead of Silent Love.

33/1(+18%) | (8) Naina 33/1, Probably unsuited by the ground (good to firm) when well beaten in a handicap over 8f at Newmarket latest; off a short-break; suited by 7f and some give (possibly not heavy); poor both starts 2025 Scored four times last term, including over C&D; has a doubt over current form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (11) (11/1 -10%)Forever My Prince |
11/1(-10%) | (11) Forever My Prince 11/1, Close to form beaten 3l off 72 over 6f at Haydock last time; suited by 6f, acts on any; little bit below very best of late Has consistent sprint form; latest effort suggests he's ready for a crack at 7f. |

7/2(+30%) | (1) Best Rate 7/2, Better effort without landing a blow when fourth beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap over 8f here latest; effective 7/8f, acts on good and good to firm; a little out of sorts Has made the frame in most outings this term, latest at this venue; solid chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (25/1 -56%)Calyxoh |
25/1(-56%) | (5) Calyxoh 25/1, Probably made too much use of first time on soft beaten 7 1/4l in a maiden over 8f at Haydock last time; blinkers first time; effective 5f-1m, acts on good and good to firm, possibly not soft; generally consistent Maiden last term for Jane Chapple-Hyam; market instructive on reappearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (6/1 -9%)Winston's Warrior |
6/1(-9%) | (9) Winston's Warrior 6/1, Ran to form beaten a length off 75 over 8f at Newbury last time; effective 7/8f, acts on soft and good to firm; consistent and competitive mark Low-mileage maiden who has encouraging form; recorded best turf effort last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (5/1 +23%)Dapper Guest |
5/1(+23%) | (10) Dapper Guest 5/1, Ran to best in first-time cheekpieces when scoring by 1/2l off 68 here penultimate start; close to form beaten 4l off 75 last time; suited by 7f, acts on good, likes fast ground; in form Respectable form since wearing cheekpieces, winning over C&D then fourth at Ascot. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (7/2 -17%)Roman Centurion |
7/2(-17%) | (2) Roman Centurion 7/2, Ran to form beaten 1 1/4l off 85 over 8f at Ascot last time; effective 7/8f, acts on any; mark now attractive Consistent over 1m this season; gives impression this return to 7f is worth a go. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (16/1 +20%)Nordic Norm |
16/1(+20%) | (3) Nordic Norm 16/1, Disappointing again, this time on turf, beaten 10l in a handicap over 8f at York last time; trainer in form; suited by 1m and AW; has lost form and something to prove All four starts over 1m, well held switched to turf latest; enough to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (22/1 -83%)Rogue Invader |
22/1(-83%) | (6) Rogue Invader 22/1, Far too keen on handicap debut when down the field in a handicap at Haydock most recent start; significant jockey booking; looking flattered by maiden win Hard to recommend on latest effort but his earlier promise is not forgotten. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ROMAN CENTURION ran out of steam inside the final furlong when fourth in a tougher handicap over a mile at Ascot. The return to 7f looks a logical move and John Ryan's charge has plenty of scope for further improvement. Best Rate was touched off over this distance at York in May and he has a fighting chance off his current mark. Dapper Guest can't be ruled out either, having won over C&D in June.

The suggestion is FOREVER MY PRINCE who holds a fighting chance off bottom weight over this new trip. Dapper Guest is second pick.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (14/1 -100%)Just An Hour |
14/1(-100%) | (9) Just An Hour 14/1, Game effort when running to form to land a handicap by 1/2l off 75 over 10f at Windsor last time; effective 10-12f, acts on good and good to firm; in good form 3-5 this season; back up in grade today but there could still be mileage in his mark. |

3rd (10) (11/8 +54%)Moon Angel |
11/8(+54%) | (10) Moon Angel 11/8, Suited by fast ground when scored by 2l off 68 at Salisbury penultimate start; well backed, ran to form third beaten 1/2l off 73 last time; suited by 1m4f and a sound surface; consistent A win and a close third from her two runs for this yard and could still have more to offer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (22/1 -38%)Way Of Life |
22/1(-38%) | (5) Way Of Life 22/1, Scored by a short-head off 81 over 11f at Kempton in May; ran roughly to form beaten 5l off 84 last time; suited by 1m4f, acts on good to soft and good to firm; little bit below best of late Won at Kempton (1m3f, AW) in May but he's just 1-19 on turf as opposed to 5-31 on AW. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (7/1 +22%)Mrs Twig |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (10/1 -43%)Odin Legacy |
10/1(-43%) | (3) Odin Legacy 10/1, Raced freely when scoring by a neck off 82 at Ripon penultimate start; similar form beaten 1 1/4l off 84 last time; enjoys making it; effective 1m2f-1m4f, acts on any except heavy; in very good form Progressive 4yo who has won three times this season; every chance he'll be thereabouts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (50/1 -25%)Ensured |
50/1(-25%) | (2) Ensured 50/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Newton Abbot latest and had been running terribly on the Flat Won this 12 months ago; a market check is advised but he's struggled this year. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The progressive Odin Legacy looks likely to have a say in the outcome once again, but it's his stable companion HOUSTONN who makes most appeal. The son of Expert Eye finished a respectable third in a higher-grade handicap at Ascot last month and the assessor has taken a chance dropping him a further 1lb. A winner at York a week ago, Beylerbeyi also merits plenty of respect.

The 5yo BEYLERBEYI (nap) was having his first crack at 1m4f when winning at York last Saturday and is taken to defy a 4lb rise.

4/1(+11%) | (5) Mary Shoelaces 4/1, Didn't see it out ridden forwards and beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at The Curragh last time; suited by 5f, acts on soft and good; in fair form Irish raider who will find this less demanding than the races she has tackled of late. |

4th (6) (14/1 +13%)One For Harvey |
14/1(+13%) | (6) One For Harvey 14/1, Made a bit too much use of when beaten 3 1/4l at Yarmouth last time; effective 5/6f on a sound surface; has to get fractions right Won a Class 6 at Nottingham in May but failed to beat a rival in two runs since. |

18/1(-125%) | (2) Court Drive 18/1, No chance after poor start beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap over 6f at Wolverhampton last time; blinkers first time; returning from a break; effective 5-7f, acts on a sound surface; consistent Should prove as effective on turf as AW in time; blinkers added now back at 5f. |

18/1(-13%) | (3) Agostino 18/1, Scored by 1 1/4l off 63 at Chelmsford three starts back; far too keen back on turf beaten 20l last time; off a short-break; all wins on AW where appears better All wins at Chelmsford; 0-14 on turf and comes here on the back of a heavy defeat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (15/2 -50%)Spendmore Lane |
15/2(-50%) | (4) Spendmore Lane 15/2, Well backed, returned to form in hood when second beaten 1 1/2l in a maiden over 6f at Nottingham latest; effective 5/6f, acts on good; opening mark attractive Yet to build on debut promise but back in trip for her handicap debut and she's unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (33/1 +18%)Dubai Magic |
33/1(+18%) | (8) Dubai Magic 33/1, Cheekpieces tried, but poor first time on good to soft beaten 4l off 55 over 6f at Lingfield last time; effective 5/6f on AW, little worthwhile turf form; out of sorts Best form on AW; not easily recommended on her turf efforts. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Night On Earth drops in class with a shout, while Money Pockets has been threatening to open her account and found only one too good at Doncaster last time. However, it could pay to side with the unexposed SPENDMORE LANE. She ran fresh when second in a maiden at Nottingham on her reappearance, but could prove better than her opening mark as she goes handicapping for the first time.

Night On Earth will take some pegging back at this level but Irish raider MARY SHOELACES could find this test more to her liking.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
