|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (15/8 +17%)Chantilly Wings |

5th (13) (22/1 -57%)Lightning Legs |
22/1(-57%) | (13) Lightning Legs 22/1, Comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Downpatrick last time; generally out of form on flat prior; usually held up; from good yard but lot to find 0-8 on Flat with a basement level mark; ran okay on last week's hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (9/1 +59%)Chichester |
9/1(+59%) | (3) Chichester 9/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle here latest; off a short-break; yet to deliver on flat promise in this sphere; lot to prove Very smart when at his best on the Flat but doesn't look the force of old. |

9/1(-13%) | (4) Colvin 9/1, Stopped quickly after bad error, disappointing handicap debut down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Galway most recent; generally out of form in Ireland; looks stable second string Fourth in an Irish maiden in May but hasn't kicked on from that in a big way. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

20/1(-43%) | (11) Princesse Milania 20/1, Below par when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Worcester last time; point winner can do better but needs to improve Beaten 13l (bumper) and 18l (maiden) in two runs for Olly Murphy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (150/1 -50%)Acoustic |
150/1(-50%) | (1) Acoustic 150/1, Probably needed race when well beaten in a novice hurdle at Kelso latest; generally out of form; off a long absence; all to do Flat maiden; early signs suggest he won't be raising his profile over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

125/1(-89%) | (12) Breaking Ground 125/1, Keen, green, mistakes, modest debut when comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m4f here last time; hard to recommend Minor promise in two points and was tailed off at 50-1 over 2m4f here a month ago. |

|PU| (9) (66/1 -164%)Dingwall |
66/1(-164%) | (9) Dingwall 66/1, Appeared not to stay when comfortably held in a handicap over 12f at Musselburgh last time; difficult to fancy 1m2f winner last summer but 1-14 on the Flat and plies his trade at a low level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (100/1 -203%)Minella Dreams |
100/1(-203%) | (6) Minella Dreams 100/1, Well beaten in a maiden bumper over 2m1f at Market Rasen only start; all to do on hurlde debut Tailed off in a Market Rasen bumper, albeit on testing ground; best watched for now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BREAK POINT was making his debut for Olly Murphy's yard when narrowly beaten at Uttoxeter. There should be more to come now he's got his act together and Sean Bowen's presence is another positive. The Irish challengers could prove the main dangers, with Chantilly Wings (third) and Oh Janey (fourth) closely matched on their recent running at Roscommon, while No More Silver is preferred of Gordon Elliott's duo.

This looks open for a maiden and there's a strong Irish presence which BREAK POINT may repel if repeating his Uttoxeter form.

7/1(-155%) | (4) Garde Des Champs 7/1, Returned to form back down in trip in first time cheekpieces landing a handicap by 4 1/2l off 110 over 2m here last time; may have bit more to offer now has had head in front Recent winner here over 2m and won't be inconvenienced by returning to further. |

5/1(+38%) | (5) Byron Hill 5/1, Below form comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m here last time; generally out of form since autumn win in that sphere; returning from a break; plenty more needed Last season went well but he's slipped into the doldrums and is 7lb wrong here. |

5th (1) (9/2 -100%)Gale Mahler |
9/2(-100%) | (1) Gale Mahler 9/2, Travelled, jumped well, readily, improved from debut down in trip under positive ride when scored by 6 1/2l off 126 over 2m at Uttoxeter three starts back; outclassed up in grade when well beaten latest; could bounce back down in class Unlucky at Uttoxeter before an excusable failure in a Grade 3 at Galway. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

GALE MAHLER failed to fire in Grade 3 company in Ireland last month, but has strong claims back in handicap company. A bad blunder may have cost Adrian Keatley's charge the race when second at Uttoxeter in June, but she looks capable of winning off her current mark with a clear round. Lightkeeper could bounce back and get involved, while King Roly returns to this shorter trip with a shout and is preferred over Garde Des Champs in this grade.

The mare GALE MAHLER is only 3lb higher than when perhaps an unfortunate loser at Uttoxeter and her Galway failure is readily forgiven.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (11/1 -69%)Invictus World |
11/1(-69%) | (2) Invictus World 11/1, Travelled, returned to form down in trip back on better ground benefitting from reappearance when landing a handicap by 3l off 113 here last time; probably bit to come Headed here last month with much to prove but bounced back for a first handicap success. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (7/4 +50%)Broughshane |
7/4(+50%) | (3) Broughshane 7/4, Travelled, idled, returned to form on stable debut landing a handicap by a neck off 115 over 2m5f at Market Rasen last time; trainer in form; autumn form working out well; more to come; can follow up Made a winning start for this yard at Market Rasen in first-time blinkers; up 3lb. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BROUGHSHANE makes most appeal of the recent winners. He made a winning debut for Mickey Bowen's yard when scoring at Market Rasen in first-time blinkers and he may well have more to offer in the headgear. Roscommon winner Power Of Words travels over from Ireland and can feature again with his jockey's 5lb allowance helping his cause, while Invictus World is another to consider off the back of a decisive victory over C&D.

Summergrounds is dangerous fresh but SPIT SPOT appeals as a mare who might well find something for today's step up in trip.

13/2(+28%) | (9) Larkfield Lusive 13/2, Travelled, improved up in trip when scored by a length off 85 over 2m7f at Market Rasen penultimate start; unsuited by soft ground seventh beaten 37l off 89 last time; looks on stiff enough mark Soft ground to blame when hat-trick bid never got off the ground at Cartmel. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (10/3 +17%)Happy Index |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (20/1 -82%)Green Bonnet |
20/1(-82%) | (8) Green Bonnet 20/1, Green, mistakes, not find much fourth beaten 42l in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Cartmel latest; looked strong stayer when runner up over 2m on debut previously; bit to find on handicap debut Lightly raced and could be interesting over this longer distance on handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Soft ground appeared to scupper LARKFIELD LUSIVE's hat-trick bid at Carlisle but conditions ought to favour him this time around and an immediate return to form looks likely. Happy Index has largely held her form since scoring over an extended 3m2f here in May, so must enter calculations along with Burgundy Man, whose consistent efforts would be deserving of success. Green Bonnet is completely unexposed and should be monitored in the betting ahead of her handicap bow.

A very open handicap but LARKFIELD LUSIVE is taken to shrug off his no-show at Cartmel on ground that was too soft.

2nd (5) (6/1 +0%)Evaluation |
6/1(+0%) | (5) Evaluation 6/1, Outpaced, ran to form beaten 1 1/4l off 113 here last time; off a short-break; fair mark on flat form, likely prefer stiffer test but outside chance Smart handicapper on the Flat and could yet raise his profile in this discipline. |

9/2(+0%) | (3) Vocito 9/2, Did it cosily, improved again landing a handicap by 3 1/4l off 117 at Uttoxeter last time; enjoys making it; thriving since change of yards; should remain competitive Raced up with a strong pace when winning at Uttoxeter (2m, good) so that's worth upgrading. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (15/2 -173%)Fiveonefive |
15/2(-173%) | (2) Fiveonefive 15/2, Travelled, took same contest last year off 1lb lower, returned to form back down in trip when landing a Handicap Hurdle by 2l off 129 over 2m1f at Cartmel penultimate start; usually held up; in the mix On a high mark but should have every chance if none the worse for recent chase failure. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

FIVEONEFIVE landed a similar event in comfortable fashion at Cartmel in June, before having to be pulled up after losing his action at Roscommon latest. That effort came over fences though and should returning to the smaller obstacles be of benefit, he is likely to go close. Recent Uttoxeter scorer Vocito must compete from 6lb higher today but is of considerable interest, along with Rock On Pedro, who made the perfect start to life with Olly Murphy when on target at Worcester last month.

It's hard to rule out any of these. EVALUATION has yet to transfer his smart Flat form to hurdles but there's time yet.

|PU| (7) (22/1 +33%)Shantou Moon |
22/1(+33%) | (7) Shantou Moon 22/1, Another poor run when well beaten in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Uttoxeter latest; regressive Very opposable on what he's been showing of late in handicap chases. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Narrowly denied over shorter here on his penultimate start, RABY MERE should appreciate a return to this track and stepping up in trip may bring about improvement as he looks to land a third career success. Placed on each of his last five outings, Am Still Here is entitled on the premises again, as well as McGregors Charge, who may be winless in twelve starts, but has run with plenty of credit recently.

Preference is for AM STILL HERE (nap) who has yet to run a bad race over fences and looks ready for this longer trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The John McConnell yard has hit a rich vein of form recently and with a good record at this track, the well-bred VALENCIAGA may be primed to strike on debut in an open-looking bumper. Other debutantes to note include Gijima and Tenthousandreasons for last year's winning connections, while Coutach looks the pick of those with experience despite putting in a disappointing effort when well fancied at Galway last month.

The hood could be a notable addition for COUTACH who raced too freely when again strong in the market at Galway.
Ths is the racecard key.
