1st (3) (5/6 +31%)Pure Steel |
5/6(+31%) | (3) Pure Steel 5/6, Below form up in class when comfortably held in Sky Bet Super Sub Novice Chase (Grade 3) here last time; effective around 2m, acts with cut; progressive over fences until latest, could bounce back. Point/hurdle winner won a rated novice contest here but didn't give true running last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/4 +39%)Break My Soul |
11/4(+39%) | (1) Break My Soul 11/4, Outclassed when well beaten in Racing Post Novice Chase (Grade 1) at Leopardstown latest; off a short-break; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on any ground; has a penalty here, which makes this tricky. Ready Gowran winner on chasing debut but well held in Graded company since; this is easier. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (5/1 -43%)I Am Lorenzo |
5/1(-43%) | (2) I Am Lorenzo 5/1, Needed every yard and improved on his chase debut, aided by the race developing early, when winning a beginners' chase at Fairyhouse by 1/2l last time. Effective from 2m to 3m and acts on soft and good ground, with more to come over fences, especially when stepped up in trip. Solid efforts in defeat over hurdles and improved to win on chasing debut last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (7/1 -27%)Relieved Of Duties |
7/1(-27%) | (4) Relieved Of Duties 7/1, Outpaced, didn't handle the ground when comfortably held in Craddockstown Novice Chase (Grade 2) here last time; in good form prior; trainer in form; off a short-break; effective 2m, acts on S and G; good chance dropped in grade. Immediate chasing winner and nice 2nd at C'ham following that; something amiss last time. |

PURE STEEL weakened after a mistake in Grade 3 company here last month but can bounce back now. The Yeats gelding had been an impressive winner over C&D previously and may benefit from coming back in distance again. Similarly Relieved Of Duties drops in class after finding graded company a bit hot last time. He had run well in a novice event at Cheltenham prior to that and could be a big player in this company. I Am Lorenzo won at Fairyhouse a month ago but faces a tougher task on this occasion.

A tidy race. Pure Steel shades the vote over Relieved Of Duties following his C&D win before disappointing latest

Point and bumper winner led over the last at Gowran before finishing a close 4th; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (13/8 -48%)Kiss Will |
13/8(-48%) | (1) Kiss Will 13/8, Yard won this last year; ran to form when second, beaten 21l, in a beginners' chase at Leopardstown latest. Effective over 2m4f-3m and acts on good to soft and heavy; can win soon over fences. 21l runner-up on second chasing start last time; capable of winning a race like this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (9/2 +0%)Shuffle The Deck |
9/2(+0%) | (4) Shuffle The Deck 9/2, Never really put into the race but still improved up in trip when third, beaten 25l, in a beginners' chase at Leopardstown most recently. Effective from 2m-2m5f and acts on any ground, though likely better suited by decent conditions. 2-4 over hurdles; has 4l to find with Kiss Will on the basis of their meeting last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (14/1 -17%)Spread Boss Ted |
14/1(-17%) | (6) Spread Boss Ted 14/1, Yard won this last year; keeping on in about fourth when fell late in a beginners' chase at Navan latest; effective 2m4f-3m with cut; should come on for latest run if okay after fall. Three-time winning hurdler was making little impression when fell at Navan on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (11/1 +31%)Supersundae |
11/1(+31%) | (7) Supersundae 11/1, Yard won this last year; outclassed when pulled up in the Turners Novice Hurdle (Grade 1) at Cheltenham latest. Effective around 2m5f on heavy and good to yielding; absence to overcome but brings potential to fences. Second in a Naas Gr.1 but PU on final two starts; best watched for now.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (50/1 +24%)My Trump Card |
50/1(+24%) | (2) My Trump Card 50/1, Made mistakes and never threatened when comfortably held in a beginners' chase here last time, not given a hard time. Blinkers are fitted first time; effective over 2m4f-3m and may want easier ground; others preferred. Bumper and hurdles winner has been disappointing in five chase runs, jumping poorly. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (18/1 -100%)Pray Tell |
18/1(-100%) | (3) Pray Tell 18/1, Made mistakes but was ridden to pick up the pieces, avoiding carnage, and was back to form on chase debut when second, beaten 5 1/2l, in a beginners' chase here latest; needs to back up that effort which may flatter. Three-time winning hurdler inc' Gr.3 lost form before 2nd on chasing debut here last time. |

KISS WILL has been the beaten favourite on his two outings over fences to date and can make it third time lucky now. The Tunis gelding was turned over at a short price on his chase debut behind a smart sort in Flicker Of Hope and then found Koktail Divin too strong at Leopardstown over Christmas. He's still unexposed and this looks like a nice opportunity. He should confirm Leopardstown form with Shuffle The Deck, who was four lengths behind him in third. Pray Tell ran well at a big price when second here on New Year's Eve and a similar effort could see him get involved.

Point winner SOLDIER IN MILAN led over the last at Gowran before being relegated into a close fourth. That marks him as a key player

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (17/2 +23%)Uncle Pat |
17/2(+23%) | (9) Uncle Pat 17/2, Unseated early in a Grade 3 handicap chase at Leopardstown latest. Top jockey back on board; effective at 2m4f-3m and prefers a sound surface; interesting contender over this new trip. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (13) (9/1 +25%)Built By Ballymore |
9/1(+25%) | (13) Built By Ballymore 9/1, Outpaced, flashed tail and raced on the worst ground on the inside but looked awkward when down the field in a handicap chase at Naas most recently. Effective at around 2m4f-3m with plenty of cut; yet to match very useful hurdles form as a chaser. Only 8-1 when ran poorly in his first handicap chase, new headgear combination. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

20/1(-25%) | (1) Prends Garde A Toi 20/1, Yard has won the last three runnings of this race; fell mid-race in a Grade 3 handicap chase at Leopardstown latest. Trainer in form; effective at 2m-2m4f and acts on heavy and yielding; has a chance if okay after the fall. One of six runners for the yard, has plenty of weight, 2m4f winner, others may stay better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (16) (10/1 +38%)May Call You Back |
10/1(+38%) | (16) May Call You Back 10/1, Well held back over hurdles up in grade when down the field in the Listed Paddy And Maureen Mullins Mares Handicap Hurdle at Leopardstown most recently. In good form prior; effective at 2m-2m4f and acts on any ground; return to fences in her favour. Has improved dramatically from a low handicap base, a big question mark about her stamina. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (9/2 +25%)The Lovely Man |
9/2(+25%) | (8) The Lovely Man 9/2, Travelled, ran to form off generous mark, suited by the trip landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off a 10lb lower mark at Gowran Park last time; effective 3m, suited by cut; progressive and could improve again for this trip. Backed up Navan chase win with a hurdles win, strong stayer, suited by heavy, progressive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (12) (11/1 +45%)Ney |
11/1(+45%) | (12) Ney 11/1, Returned to form back up in trip when second, beaten 5 1/2l, in a handicap chase here latest. Effective at 2m-3m and acts with cut; useful dual-purpose performer but this mark demands more. Course winner, returned to form last time, trip could help to bring out the best in him. |

6/1(+40%) | (14) Koori Star 6/1, Ran to form when beaten 9 1/2l in a novice chase at Down Royal last time. Cheekpieces first time and a significant jockey booking; effective at 2m2f-3m, consistent and can do better now handicapping over further. Has been running in beginners' chases over inadequate trips, a potential dark horse now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (15) (40/1 -122%)Evies Vladimir |
40/1(-122%) | (15) Evies Vladimir 40/1, Found little in a strongly run race having briefly threatened when down the field in a handicap chase at Navan most recently. Effective at 2m4f-3m3f and acts well with cut; inconsistent. Twice well beaten since second to stablemate The Lovely Man over 3m at Navan. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (9/1 +10%)Binge Worthy |
9/1(+10%) | (11) Binge Worthy 9/1, Yard has won the last three runnings of this race; had too much to do after a shuddering late error when beaten 3/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Navan last time. Cheekpieces first time; effective at 2m-2m5f and may do better now over further. Needs to improve in cheekpieces judged on third placing in less demanding company at Navan. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (13/2 +19%)Patter Merchant |
13/2(+19%) | (2) Patter Merchant 13/2, Yard won this last three runnings of race; ran to form when 24l third in a beginners' chase at Navan most recent run; cheekpieces first time; trainer in form; effective 2m4f, best at 3m, acts on any ground; generally in good form and this trip may suit. 12/1(-50%) | (3) Born Braver 12/1, Improved when relishing the step up in trip, beaten a neck off a 6lb lower mark at Down Royal last time. Effective at 2m4f-3m and acts on soft and good ground; progressing as the trip increases over fences. Stayed well in points and over hurdles, good 3m run matches him closely with Lucky Lyreen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (4) (15/2 -15%)Lucky Lyreen |
15/2(-15%) | (4) Lucky Lyreen 15/2, Yard won this last three runnings of race; improved up in trip in first-time cheekpieces when landing a handicap by a neck off a 8lb lower mark at Down Royal last time; trainer in form; effective 2m4f-3m with cut; remains well treated on hurdle form, progressive over fences and should stay. Interesting rematch of 3m Down Royal clash with Born Braver, trip should be within range. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (18/1 +10%)Fortunedefortunata |
18/1(+10%) | (5) Fortunedefortunata 18/1, Won this race last year; unseated in the Listed Porterstown Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse latest. Trainer in form and off a short break; suited by 3m+ with cut but below par so far this term. Last year's winner, hard to see him repeat that after a litany of misfortune this season. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

THE LOVELY MAN revels in testing conditions and comes here in fine form. Gavin Cromwell's charge was a good winner over fences at Navan in mid-December before landing a handicap hurdle at Gowran last month. He races off a 10lb higher chase mark now, but looks progressive. Gordon Elliott has won the last four runnings of this and Jack Kennedy sides with Lucky Lyreen, who stayed well when winning at Down Royal last month. He got the better of Born Braver by a neck in a driving finish, but is 2lb worse off. This marathon trip could bring further improvement, though.

The value bet could be NEY who showed good stamina as a hurdler and came back to form with a lively display here five weeks ago.

1st (4) (5/2 -25%)Heads Up |
5/2(-25%) | (4) Heads Up 5/2, Far too free, jumped abysmally when comfortably held in AIS Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) at Cheltenham last time; effective 2m-2m5f, acts on S and G; front-runner may be well suited to this drop in trip now hooded. 2025 Champion Bumper second, started well this term, too free last time, cheekpieces now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (4/6 +73%)Lazare De Star |
4/6(+73%) | (5) Lazare De Star 4/6, Travelled well but got racing a bit early when second, beaten 3/4l, in a novice hurdle at Navan last time. Effective from 2m to 2m5f and acts on soft to heavy and G. More to come and a first-time hood looks a plus. Leopardstown maiden winner, lost out to Zeus Power at Navan, may avenge that defeat now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/2 +31%)Stede Bonnet |
11/2(+31%) | (2) Stede Bonnet 11/2, Ran to form, benefitting from drop in class when winning a novice hurdle at Ayr by 4 1/2l last time; effective around 2m, acts on HY and G; dual bumper winner, progressing over hurdles. Won two bumpers last summer, would get 5lb from stablemate Lazare De Star in a handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (16/1 -33%)Jony R |
16/1(-33%) | (1) Jony R 16/1, Travelled strongly and did it readily when returning to form down in trip in a first-time hood, winning a novice hurdle at Down Royal by 7 1/2l last time. Trainer in form, effective at 2m1f and acts on S and Y, but more needed here. Two wins at Down Royal, meets Head on lb worse than handicap terms. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

There is not much to choose between LAZARE DE STAR and Zeus Power based on their meeting at Navan last month. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding, who previously won a maiden at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting, looked the winner most of the way up the straight that day only to be headed in the closing stages. The combination of this easier track and a 5lb swing in the weights may give him the edge. Heads Up had smart form in bumpers last season and has taken well to hurdles, but needs to bounce back after a disappointing effort at Cheltenham.

A rematch of a Navan novice event could prove key to the outcome here with LAZARE DE STAR given narrow preference over Zeus Power

1st (3) (11/8 +31%)Ksar Fatal |
11/8(+31%) | (3) Ksar Fatal 11/8, Below his debut level when well beaten in a bumper here latest and now returns from a long layoff. Effective at 2m2f on soft to heavy ground. Ex-Willie Mullins and retains significant potential now going hurdling. Some nice form inc' for Willie Mullins; big contender if retaining all his talent. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (10/11 +17%)Dani Donadoni |
10/11(+17%) | (1) Dani Donadoni 10/11, Yard has won 2 of the last 5 runnings of this race. Took a step back from his promising debut when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Leopardstown last time. Effective over 2m-2m4f and acts on heavy and good ground; bumper form is very strong and a bounce back is needed. Second on hurdles bow; no obvious excuse last time when well beaten but this is winnable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (80/1 -21%)Strange Currency |
80/1(-21%) | (8) Strange Currency 80/1, Showed some promise on debut, albeit comfortably held, in an auction hurdle at Limerick last time. Effective over 2m3f on soft to heavy ground and improvement is likely. Showed little in three points; 23l sixth on rules debut was as good as could be expected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (13/2 -8%)Pat's Legacy |
13/2(-8%) | (7) Pat's Legacy 13/2, Ran to form when stepped up in trip and finished second, beaten 3 1/4l, in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse latest. Effective over 2m-2m4f and acts on soft to heavy and yielding ground. Should improve again. The pick of trainer's 3; fifth in a strong m'den and runner-up latest; can go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (5/1 +9%)Panjandrum |
5/1(+9%) | (6) Panjandrum 5/1, Yard won this race last year. Had a poor hurdles debut when pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Limerick latest. Trainer is in form, effective around 2m with cut in the ground and is surely better than he showed last time. Point and bumper winner had blood at nostrils when PU last time; go well if on song. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (150/1 -200%)Chisel Hill |
150/1(-200%) | (11) Chisel Hill 150/1, Vadamos mare and sister to the poor performer Sinceyouvebeengone. Dam was a 2m hurdle winner. Hard to fancy on debut. Dam 2m hurdle winner; unlikely to make immediate impact. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (50/1 -213%)King Of Westeros |
50/1(-213%) | (2) King Of Westeros 50/1, Yard won this race last year. Made no impact when tried in a hood and was held when falling in an auction hurdle at Thurles latest. Trainer is in form, effective at 3m in points and looks the type to do better when handicapping. Point runner-up was tailed off on rules bow and fell when in rear last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (100/1 -52%)Courageous Cleo |
100/1(-52%) | (12) Courageous Cleo 100/1, Yard won this race last year. Made a modest debut when well beaten in a mares' bumper here on her only start. Trainer is in form and she returns from a break; may do better up in trip now hurdling. In the rear throughout on bumper debut when tailed off; 8-1 that day so may do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (150/1 -127%)Auntie Ida |
150/1(-127%) | (10) Auntie Ida 150/1, Made a modest debut over hurdles when down the field in a graduation hurdle here most recent. Looks the type to do better when handicapping. Shaped with promise on bumper debut but way below that when tailed off over C&D latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (14) (250/1 -150%)Shortt Fuse |
250/1(-150%) | (14) Shortt Fuse 250/1, Rajj mare and half-sister to Reverse Polarity, a useful hurdles winner over 2m. Makes little appeal on debut and is likely to need the experience. Half-sister to 2m hurdle winner Reverse Polarity; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (15) (250/1 -100%)The Fly Window |
250/1(-100%) | (15) The Fly Window 250/1, No show from off the pace when down the field in a maiden hurdle here most recent. Has shown little to date and may do better when switched to handicaps. Never counted in either m'den hurdle run; likely to need more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (5) (80/1 -264%)Only For Our Man |
80/1(-264%) | (5) Only For Our Man 80/1, Below his hurdles debut level when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Down Royal most recent. Effective over 2m2f on a sound surface and, as a point winner, there should be more to come under rules, with a longer trip likely to suit. Point winner took second in a pointers bumper; below his best in two runs for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (13) (250/1 -100%)Mo Chailin Mor |
250/1(-100%) | (13) Mo Chailin Mor 250/1, Made a moderate debut when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse on her only start. May need more time and handicaps. Sent off 80-1 on debut when tailed off; ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (16) (25/1 -56%)Who's Going |
25/1(-56%) | (16) Who's Going 25/1, Yard won this race last year. Getaway gelding and first foal of a mare who is a half-sister to high-class hurdle and chase winner Gilgamboa. Top trainer is in form but he may need this debut run. Unraced dam related to Stealthy Tom and Gilgamboa; yard's main dart seems to be Panjandrum. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (150/1 -50%)Live My Dream |
150/1(-50%) | (4) Live My Dream 150/1, Improved, albeit well beaten, in a maiden hurdle at Limerick latest and returns from a short break. Effective at 2m on heavy ground and this longer trip may suit. Not much encouragement in two points nor a Cork m'den; slightly better last time. |

DANI DONADONI won a Limerick bumper in impressive fashion last spring and beat all bar Lord Rouge when switched to hurdles in a 19-runner Cork maiden in December. He needs to bounce back after being soundly beaten later that month at Leopardstown, but is taken to do so. Ksar Fatal and Panjandrum must also put disappointing efforts behind them. The former, who easily won a point-to-point and impressed in a Gowran bumper, has now joined Barry Connell from Willie Mullins. Panjandrum won a point and a bumper too, but reportedly bled when pulled up on his hurdling debut at Limerick.

This is a winnable race for DANI DONADONI but market strength for Ksar Fatal would make him very interesting

9th (1) (5/1 +58%)American Jukebox |
5/1(+58%) | (1) American Jukebox 5/1, Taken on up front, made too much use of when fourth beaten 12l in a novice hurdle at Thurles latest; trainer in form; effective 2m3f-2m6f with cut; in fair form for top yard and interesting on handicap debut. Made all to easily win Tramore m'den but 12l behind upped in class at Thurles last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (14/1 -250%)Gorvitho |
14/1(-250%) | (4) Gorvitho 14/1, Step back in right direction down in trip, albeit comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel last time; effective 2m1f-2m4f, acts with cut; more to come now handicapping for top yard and the choice of Paul Townend. Generally underwhelming in 3 Irish runs inc' when 22l behind latest; questions to answer. |

NETTUNO ITALIA opened his account over a similar trip here last month and may follow up with Danny Gilligan keeping the partnership intact. The form of that contest has been well advertised by the runner up since and his ability to handle testing ground will stand the gelding in good stead. Kir won over 3m at Limerick in October and is weighted to confirm superiority over Fairyhouse winner From The Ashes on their meeting at Limerick shortly after Christmas. Gorvitho and Drop A Threat both step up in trip on their handicap debuts, while West Of Bally and Sean Mc are others to consider.

NUTTUNO ITALIA came good over C&D last time with an easy win, and the runner-up that day has scored comfortably since

1st (4) (9/4 +18%)Soul Asylum |
9/4(+18%) | (4) Soul Asylum 9/4, Promising debut when runner-up, beaten a head in a maiden point at Dromahane on his only start. Trainer in form; off a short break; ran well in a point and has joined a top yard which can get them ready first time. Hampered at the last when only just losing out in a keenly- contested maiden at Dromahane. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/1 -100%)Begorra Man |
4/1(-100%) | (1) Begorra Man 4/1, Very promising bumper debut, confirming earlier hurdles promise, when second beaten 4 1/4l in a bumper here on his latest start. Returning from a long layoff; effective at 2m; acts on soft; form franked and a big player if fit. Absent since second to a Willie Mullins-trained odds-on chance here 12 months ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (4/6 +47%)Heldam |
4/6(+47%) | (2) Heldam 4/6, Disappointing on his debut under rules when well beaten in a 4yo bumper at Leopardstown on his only start. Off a short break; effective at 3m in points; held in high regard and could show his true colours now on softer ground. Point winner, failed to run to expectations at Leopardstown, presumably capable of better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (66/1 +18%)Little Ginger |
66/1(+18%) | (3) Little Ginger 66/1, Crystal Ocean gelding; half-brother to Dromore Lad, who was useful up to 3m4f. Has been found a tough enough race in which to make his debut. Half-brother to five-time winner Dromore Lad and to a bumper scorer, unenviable task. |

BEGORRA MAN showed plenty of promise both over hurdles and in a bumper last term. The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding hasn't been seen since finishing runner-up to the impressive Gameofinches in this race last year with a number of subsequent winners behind. Soul Asylum was narrowly denied in a point-to-point at Dromahane in November before being snapped up by current connections for 280,000 pounds. Point-to-point winner Heldam faded in the straight when favourite on his debut under Rules at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting but it is too soon to write him off.

SOUL ASYLUM gets the vote. He made his debut in a Dromahane maiden point that served as a prelude to three high-value sales

1st (1) (13/8 -30%)Jump Allen |
13/8(-30%) | (1) Jump Allen 13/8, Ran to form, strong at finish when winning a handicap hurdle at Sandown by 1 1/4l last time; returning from long layoff; stays 3m over hurdles; chance this sort of test will suit on the Flat. Won his only bumper start, strong handicap hurdle form at around 2m4f, lacks a recent run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (15/8 +32%)That Danny Feeling |
15/8(+32%) | (2) That Danny Feeling 15/8, Below form comfortably held in a maiden hurdle here last time; in good form prior; dual bumper winner around this trip; could have a say on Flat debut. Has won two bumpers, placed in three of his four starts over hurdles, excuse on latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (14/1 +36%)Accustomed |
14/1(+36%) | (6) Accustomed 14/1, Ran to form and did much the best of those forcing the pace when beaten 3 1/2l in a handicap hurdle at Leopardstown last time. Effective up to 2m4f but has a bit to find. Point winner, not far off the higher-rated The Nagger Reidy in a handicap hurdle last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (50/1 -178%)Old Saxony |
50/1(-178%) | (10) Old Saxony 50/1, No-show from off the pace when down the field in a maiden hurdle here most recent. Return to the Flat could suit, although the ground is an unknown. Won over 1m6f on AW in Britain in 2024, in rear on recent hurdles/Irish debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (80/1 -60%)Justabitofyours |
80/1(-60%) | (14) Justabitofyours 80/1, Race may have come a bit soon when down the field in a beginners' chase at Galway most recent. Plenty more is needed in this sort of event. Second in a three-runner chase last May, nothing else of much note in her form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (11/2 +35%)Raydamann |
11/2(+35%) | (3) Raydamann 11/2, Again below form when down the field in a handicap at Leopardstown most recent. Trainer is in form and he returns from a break, but is unproven beyond 11f on the Flat and stamina has to be proven. Flat maiden, maiden hurdle winner, found wanting in handicaps, might prefer better ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (20/1 +60%)Rhythmic Tune |
20/1(+60%) | (4) Rhythmic Tune 20/1, May have found the ground too testing when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Limerick latest. Hard to recommend on his Flat debut. Winner of a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Limerick, several others have stronger hurdles form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (15) (33/1 +18%)Lep Around |
33/1(+18%) | (15) Lep Around 33/1, Needed the run when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Listowel most recent and returns from a break. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and did run well in a bumper. Point winner showed good form in the early months of 2024, never hit form last year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (33/1 -106%)Free Flowing |
33/1(-106%) | (8) Free Flowing 33/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced and outclassed, needing the run when fourth, beaten 110l, in a Conditions Hurdle at Limerick latest. Off a short break, effective around 2m with cut and could figure. Spent a long time on the sidelines after a maiden hurdle win in 2023, tailed off on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (7/1 +56%)Along The Way |
7/1(+56%) | (7) Along The Way 7/1, Made a modest chase debut and needed the run when down the field in a beginners' chase at Gowran Park most recent. Off a short break and effective at 2m on yielding ground, but has a bit to find. Maiden over hurdles, down the field in a beginners' chase at Gowran in November. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (33/1 +18%)Fair Damsel |
33/1(+18%) | (13) Fair Damsel 33/1, Poor return to the Flat when down the field in a handicap at Navan most recent. Returning from a break, effective up to 12f with cut but a bounce back is needed. Modest form on the Flat, won a maiden hurdle in 2024 after the favourite fell at the last. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (50/1 -52%)The Dabbler |
50/1(-52%) | (12) The Dabbler 50/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Fairyhouse latest and returns from a break. Hard to recommend on his Flat debut. Veteran showed that he retains some ability with a good chase run on his penultimate start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (11) (50/1 +0%)Solar Falcon |
50/1(+0%) | (11) Solar Falcon 50/1, Again below form when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Thurles most recent. Off a short break and well beaten in three Flat runs up to 8f, so difficult to fancy. Ran only twice last year after winning a juvenile maiden hurdle in 2024, weak Flat form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (9) (80/1 -21%)Kalaroun |
80/1(-21%) | (9) Kalaroun 80/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Clonmel latest and returns from a break. Effective up to 2m1f on the Flat in his younger days but difficult to fancy. Winner on AW early in his career, has been struggling over hurdles in recent times. |

JUMP ALLEN won twice over hurdles last spring on varying ground conditions, including over 2m4f at Sandown. The seven-year-old is preferred to The Nagger Reidy, who has also won twice over hurdles, including when well backed on his penultimate start at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival. Dual bumper winner That Danny Feeling could bounce back after disappointing over hurdles here recently, with Raydamann another to consider.

Sonny Carey's useful handicap hurdler THE NAGGER REIDY gets the vote. Likely dangers are Jump Allen and That Danny Feeling.
Ths is the racecard key.
