A winner over fences at Ayr last month, THE OTHER MOZZIE is well treated back over flights. Raised to a mark of 145 after easily landing a premier handicap, the Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding can run off just 119 here. Lightly raced over hurdles, the six-year-old has the scope for further improvement and has been found a nice opportunity to exploit his current rating. Kap Ouest has proved somewhat disappointing in recent starts, but trainer Harry Fry always deserves maximum respect at this particular meeting. It would be no surprise to see an improved performance from the British raider. Mercury Mission is an improving gelding who has to hold every chance of completing his hat-trick.

A ferociously competitive handicap to kick things off and a chance is taken on Harry Derham's TURN AND FINISH to come out on top

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

TULLYHILL might have the class to concede weight to his rivals. Runner-up in the Grade 1 bumper at the Festival here a couple of seasons back, the Willie Mullins-trained gelding easily landed a Listed novice hurdle at this track the following year. Although pulled up on his only subsequent visit here, the seven-year-old looks nicely handicapped over fences. Runner-up in two of his three starts to date, the son of Martaline has to be respected for leading connections. Aspire Tower may never reach the same heights as a chaser that he did over flights, but the Henry de Bromhead-trained nine-year-old remains a smart horse. Recent Cork winner Mirazur West arrives in excellent form following that first success in this sphere.

JASKO DES DAMES is a C&D winner who would have finished closer at Cheltenham last time but for a late blunder. He's can make amends

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (33/1 +67%)Empire Soldier |
33/1(+67%) | (6) Empire Soldier 33/1, Well beaten in a conditions race over 3m1f at Lingstown latest; up in trip; off a short-break; all to do Twice placed in points. down the field over the banks at Lingstown on latest. |

VANILLIER can make up for a luckless Cheltenham run by gaining some form of compensation. The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding, who couldn't land a telling blow in the Grand National latest, was prominent in the early stages at Cheltenham before dropping towards the rear after almost taking the wrong route. Having to make up considerable ground in order to get back into the race, the grey did exceptionally well to run on for third. Granted a clearer passage, he is very much the horse to beat. A previous winner of this race, the veteran Vital Island holds leading claims despite his advancing years. Three By Two should be involved as well.

If none the worse for his run in the Grand National, VANILLIER should prove equal to the task on the evidence of his Cheltenham third.

Paul Nolan can land this nice staying prize with PARK OF KINGS. Fifth in a hot renewal of the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham, the gelding ran an even better race upped in trip at Aintree last month. With his stamina assured, the JP McManus-owned seven-year-old could be ridden a shade more prominently on this occasion. Having been a consistent performer all season, the Walk In The Park gelding can gain just reward. Pertemps runner-up Jeriko Du Reponet gives McManus a strong hand in the race and Nicky Henderson's gelding is a classy sort. Chart Topper could also go well.

A wickedly competitive handicap. For one having only his sixth race, BECKETT ROCK did well to finish sixth in the Coral Cup

|PU| (4) (100/1 -100%)Beauforts Storm |
100/1(-100%) | (4) Beauforts Storm 100/1, Ran to form comfortably held in Donohue Marquees Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) at Fairyhouse last time; good ground suits; will be ridden to pick up pieces but more needed Useful mare but on the balance of her form she'll probably be placed at best. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

The ground will be much more suitable for SIXANDAHALF here after she skipped Fairyhouse due to testing conditions. The Snow Sky mare takes a drop in grade now after being nabbed late on in the Mares' Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham by Air Of Entitlement. She looked all set for victory that day after travelling well to lead before the last and should prove hard to beat in this company. Karamoja could be the danger after a solid run to finish third in the aforementioned Grade 1 contest at Fairyhouse. Karoline Banbou, who was sixth at Fairyhouse, has to enter calculations too.

This looks all about SIXANDAHALF who holds some key opposition on their Cheltenham clash. Timetoshine is interesting

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

It's hard to oppose MAJBOROUGH here as he bids for compensation after an unlucky defeat in the Arkle at Cheltenham. The Martinborough gelding did well to stand up after a blunder at the second last and wasn't good at the final fence either, eventually picking up again on the run-in to finish a close third to Jango Baie. He can turn the tables on Only By Night, who was only a short head in front of the selection in a thrilling finish at Prestbury Park. The mare ran a cracker that day and looks like the main danger. Jeannot Lapin is next best.

Only By Night beat MAJBOROUGH in the Arkle but the Willie Mullins-trained 5yo should easily reverse the form with better jumping

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

TEAHUPOO can repeat last year's victory. The Masked Marvel gelding is wonderfully consistent and despite losing his crown in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham, he still ran a big race to finish second to Bob Olinger. He is sure to turn up and give his running again and is the one to beat. Rocky's Diamond ran a fine race to finish fourth at Cheltenham and he's still only five. Declan Queally's charge is open to further improvement and could be the danger. Hiddenvalley Lake commands plenty of respect as well.

Despite having run only twice since completing a Grade 1 hat-trick last year, TEAHUPOO (nap) can be fancied to gain a repeat success.

KSAR FATAL is still in the could be anything category. The Buck's Boum gelding was well touted before this racecourse bow at Gowran Park in March and left a big impression with an easy nine-length success. He obviously faces a stiffer test now but is fancied to go well. UK raider El Cairos commands respect after a fine run to finish fifth behind Bambino Fever in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. He may be able to confirm form with He Can't Dance, who was eighth that day. The latter's trainer Gordon Elliott also saddles Koktail Brut for owners Gigginstown and he's another to note.

Willie Mullins can land this prixze KSAR FATAL who looked smart in winning a point and took a Gowran bumper in great style
Ths is the racecard key.
