|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (12) (9/4 +55%)The Goffer |
9/4(+55%) | (12) The Goffer 9/4, Cashed in on an easy opening on point debut when winning a novice at Umma House by 2 1/2l last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (28/1 -100%)Outside The Door |
28/1(-100%) | (1) Outside The Door 28/1, Trip proved too short when back hurdling and finishing down the field in a 2m7f handicap hurdle here last time. Effective up to 3m1f and acts on soft and good ground; needs to bounce back. Very useful staying handicap chaser at his best, lacks experience of this course. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (125/1 -89%)Cavalry Master |
125/1(-89%) | (6) Cavalry Master 125/1, Fared with credit when down the field in a Listed chase over 4m3f at Pardubice latest. Effective around 3m and acts on good ground; faces a less competitive race here. Completed the course in the Velka Pardubicka, form at this track provides no encouragement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (14) (10/1 +60%)Well Buoy |
10/1(+60%) | (14) Well Buoy 10/1, Yard has won two of the last five renewals of this race; not clear run but ran to form when comfortably held in a Ladies chase here last time. Stays well, handles any ground; needs to improve. A young horse, his trainer's mastery of this discipline suggests he could have a future. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (10) (100/1 -150%)Lough Derg Spirit |
100/1(-150%) | (10) Lough Derg Spirit 100/1, Needed the run when comfortably held in a novice event at Castletown-Geoghegan last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m and acts on soft; has a bit to find. Not much mileage on the clock for a horse of his age, has won over the banks at Lingstown. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (80/1 -21%)A Mighty King |
80/1(-21%) | (5) A Mighty King 80/1, Below form back in a point when fourth, beaten 24l, in a maiden at Knockmullen House last time. Effective around 3m and handles soft ground; has plenty to find. Unseated on his first try at this track, weak form in points, seems safe to rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (40/1 -100%)Gentleman De Reve |
40/1(-100%) | (9) Gentleman De Reve 40/1, Ran with credit in a competitive Listed chase over 4m3f at Pardubice latest. Stays well and acts on good ground; has a chance on stable debut. Fair performer in cross-country races in France, sixth in the Velka Pardubicka. |

66/1(-65%) | (13) Walking On Glass 66/1, Pulled up in a 2m7f handicap hurdle here latest. Effective around 2m4f and handles soft or good ground; has a lot to find. Recent form is unconvincing, trainer has a stronger candidate in Outside The Door. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (25/1 -79%)Vital Island |
25/1(-79%) | (4) Vital Island 25/1, Pulled up in a Listed chase over 4m5f at Le Lion-D'Angers last time. Wears cheekpieces for the first time; stays well and handles soft and good ground; a regular in these Punchestown races. Course specialist over banks at Lingstown and at this circuit, always merits respect here. |

VANILLIER may be able to make a winning return. Gavin Cromwell's charge was impressive when scoring over this course back in February and went on to run well for third at Cheltenham. He finished the season on a bit of a low note, but is a smart horse at his best and coming here fresh could suit. Busselton won the La Touche Cup at the Festival here and has to be respected. He's had a couple of recent spins over hurdles so arrives fit. Desertmore House, who lost out by three-parts of a length in the La Touche, is another to consider. He also has the benefit of a run having won a point-to-point three weeks ago.

With a recent point-to-point win behind him, La Touche runner-up DESERTMORE HOUSE may emerge best in a rematch with key rivals

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (25/1 -25%)Court Compliance |
25/1(-25%) | (4) Court Compliance 25/1, Below debut level when second, beaten 2l, in an auction over 3m at Oldcastle last time; has plenty to prove on rules debut. Placed on both starts in points, solid pedigree, this trip should be well within range. |

50/1(-150%) | (10) Obey The Order 50/1, Improved when fourth, beaten 10l, in a 2m maiden hurdle at Gowran Park last time; effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on heavy or good ground; longer trip should suit. Point winner, has made the frame on both hurdle starts, may find a few too good again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|S| (5) (12/1 -50%)Did I Ask You That |
12/1(-50%) | (5) Did I Ask You That 12/1, Improved when switching to hurdles, finishing 10l third in a maiden hurdle here last time; effective at 2m6f and acts on soft ground; could have a say with further progress. Second in a bumper, not seen since a big-priced third in this event a year ago, beaten 10l. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (28/1 -27%)Excessivebehaviour |
28/1(-27%) | (6) Excessivebehaviour 28/1, 42,000 euros Great Pretender gelding; half-brother to Zambezi Fix, useful at 19f; tongue-tied for this rules debut; up against it. Dam has produced six winners including a brother to this gelding, tongue-tie fitted. |

200/1(-150%) | (14) Get Your Coat 200/1, Moderate debut when well beaten in a 2m maiden hurdle at Galway on only start; should be effective around 2m4f but needs major improvement. Big price when tailed off first time out at Galway, will probably need more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (11) (200/1 -33%)Rathmolyon Roller |
200/1(-33%) | (11) Rathmolyon Roller 200/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a 2m bumper at Kilbeggan on only start; has it all to do. Never involved at Kilbeggan on his only bumper start, will need to gain jumping experience. |

Grade 2 bumper winner GREEN SPLENDOUR can make a successful start over timber. The Willie Mullins-trained gelding was impressive at Aintree in early April and looks a nice prospect for novice hurdles this season. He Can't Dance was placed in a Grade 2 bumper, but needs to improve from his hurdling debut when well beaten at Galway last month. Gordon Elliott's runners have been coming on for their initial runs, though. Champagne Kid has plenty of solid placed form and should reach the frame again. He sets the standard with his mark of 118, but it would be disappointing if Green Splendour didn't prove considerably better than that level.

This looks like a good launch pad over jumps for GREEN SPLENDOUR, whose victory in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree is persuasive.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (11/2 +39%)King In Love |
11/2(+39%) | (6) King In Love 11/2, Improved back on slightly easier ground when winning a handicap by 1 1/4l off 104 over 2m at Cork last time; effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground; somewhat inconsistent. Was raised 7lb for recent Cork score so will have to find another chunk of improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (7/2 -40%)Joueur Masque |
7/2(-40%) | (1) Joueur Masque 7/2, Improved, scored with loads in hand when winning a maiden hurdle here over 2m by 6 1/2l last time; effective at 2m, acts on S, yielding; surely has more to offer now handicapping. Was a comfortable C&D maiden hurdle winner last June; more to come and respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (50/1 -79%)Allo Al Khawaneej |
50/1(-79%) | (7) Allo Al Khawaneej 50/1, Below spring best when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Gowran Park last time; effective up to 2m4f and acts on good ground; needs to find more. Below form on testing ground at Gowran last time and similar conditions today so concerns. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (11/1 -38%)Friary Road |
11/1(-38%) | (3) Friary Road 11/1, Pulled up in a novice hurdle at Killarney last time; effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground; could bounce back. Had an excuse after being pulled-up at Killarney and is a player if rebounding. |

JOUEUR MASQUE was an impressive winner on his last visit here in June and this is a nice stepping stone for him on his return. The Masked Marvel gelding had shaped with promise in a couple of strong maiden hurdles prior to his easy success and he remains a novice for this season. County Final also carries the JP McManus colours and was an impressive winner when taking his maiden hurdle at Navan in September. He looks like the owner's second choice here. Cappa Hill is on a hat-trick, but looks to be facing a better calibre of rival now.

COUNTY FINAL won by a wide margin at Navan last time and winners have come from that race so he is selected.

7/2(+30%) | (4) Mozzies Sister 7/2, Quickened clear and won comfortably when improving back over hurdles to take a Mares' Hurdle at Wexford over 2m4f by 13l last time. A consistent hurdler at up to 3m who handles soft and good ground. Has more to offer. Novicey when beaten on chasing debut but was back on song over hurdles last time; a player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (12/1 +40%)The Great Nudie |
12/1(+40%) | (5) The Great Nudie 12/1, Too free and below form on chase debut when fourth, beaten 32l, in a beginners' chase over 2m at Gowran Park last time. Effective at 2m and may fare better over a bit further. Handles soft ground but faces a tough task. Well beaten on chasing debut last time; has a fair bit to find with these rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (5/6 +0%)Fun Fun Fun |
5/6(+0%) | (3) Fun Fun Fun 5/6, Her yard won this race last year. Improved again when landing the Maid Of Perth Mares' Chase (Listed) at Perth over 3m by 4l last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (22/1 -100%)Baby Kate |
22/1(-100%) | (1) Baby Kate 22/1, Her yard won this race last year. Improved from her debut but was comfortably held in the Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) at Fairyhouse last time. Effective from 2m to 2m2f and handles soft and good ground. A first-time tongue-tie could help on return. Disappointing in a Grade 3 when last seen; yard's second-string on return with tongue-tie. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

FEET OF A DANCER is top-rated over hurdles and can make a winning return. The Authorized mare didn't win during her last campaign but ran some cracking races in defeat, including on her final two outings. She was a fine fourth in the Pertemps Final at Cheltenham and finished with a placed effort in Grade 2 company at Fairyhouse. She may prefer a bit further, but can operate over this trip. Fun Fun Fun looks like an obvious danger. She was three from four over fences last season, including claiming a Grade 3 and Listed success. She may also be suited by further. The Great Nudie is a potential front-runner and could be dangerous if given an easy lead.

FUN FUN FUN is taken to score as she goes well fresh and got to a rating of 149 over fences last term.

6/1(-33%) | (5) Millstream Lady 6/1, Scored by 1/2l off 120 over 2m6f at Killarney three starts back; travelled strongly and improved up in trip to win the Cailin Alainn Mares Hurdle (Listed) at Limerick last time; trainer in form; effective 2m3f–2m6f and progressive. In-form mare, stayed well when landing a five-runner Listed mares' event at Limerick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (5/2 +9%)Custom Taylor |
5/2(+9%) | (2) Custom Taylor 5/2, Quickened clear and outclassed rivals when landing a handicap by 9 1/2l off 128 at Gowran Park last time; hugely progressive at 3m, acts on soft and yielding ground; can go well. Underlined his improvement with 3m Gowran win, up 9lb, every chance of further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (22/1 -83%)Sarah Beara |
22/1(-83%) | (9) Sarah Beara 22/1, Challenging when falling in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Limerick last time; returning from a long layoff; effective 2m4f–3m, acts on soft and yielding ground; returns from an absence. In contention when falling two out at Limerick in December, absent since, might need this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (2/1 +71%)Intent Approach |
2/1(+71%) | (8) Intent Approach 2/1, Travelled well but found little in a strongly run race, running to form when 13l third in a handicap hurdle at Clonmel last time; effective around 3m and best on a sound surface; capable of better. Tendency to make mistakes resurfaced when third over 3m at Clonmel, chance all the same. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (10/1 -54%)Olympic Man |
10/1(-54%) | (3) Olympic Man 10/1, Outpaced and a bit below previous Flat runs when beaten 7 1/4l in the Amateur Riders' Derby over 12f at the Curragh last time; effective around 2m4f, acts on soft; capable of better. Error-prone over fences, two Flat runs should have helped to restore his confidence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (10/1 +0%)Timmy Tuesday |
10/1(+0%) | (4) Timmy Tuesday 10/1, Outpaced but ran to debut form when 10l third in a beginners' chase over 2m2f at Galway last time; effective up to 3m, acts on soft and good ground; needs to bounce back. Second in a 3m Aintree handicap; mixed form since, last two runs have been over fences.. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (50/1 -317%)Brazil |

Won the Fred Winter in 2022; no success over hurdles since later that year, up against it. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

The progressive CUSTOM TAYLOR was an impressive winner on his return at Gowran Park early last month and may still be a step ahead of the handicapper. The Malinas gelding got a 9lb hike for his easy nine-and-a-half length victory, but that may not be enough to stop him from going in again. Millstream Lady is another coming here in good form and could be the danger. She beat a smart mare in World Of Fortunes at Limerick and Calum Hogan takes a useful 7lb off her back. Top-weight Staffordshire Knot ran well when third in the Brown Lad at Naas and is another who has to be on the shortlist.

If he can smarten his jumping technique INTENT APPROACH may prove good enough to cope with the progressive Custom Taylor

10/11(+27%) | (2) Fleur In The Park 10/11, Improved on chase debut when winning a beginners' chase at Wexford by 8l last time; effective 2m4f-3m, acts with cut; has more to offer. No problem with a drop to 2m when winning in style at Wexford, jumps well, promising sort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (14/1 +0%)Qualimita |
14/1(+0%) | (5) Qualimita 14/1, The yard has won the last two runnings of this race. Improved on hurdles form when second, beaten 3/1l, in a beginners' chase at Gowran Park last time. Effective around 2m and acts on heavy and good ground. Capable of better but further progress is needed. Failed to win over hurdles, second on chase debut, overall profile is off-putting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (16/1 -14%)Kilbarry Saint |
16/1(-14%) | (4) Kilbarry Saint 16/1, Returned to form down in grade after a break when second, beaten 2l, in the T.A. Morris Memorial Mares Chase (Listed) over 2m5f at Clonmel last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on soft and good to soft ground. Generally consistent performer. Has found things tough against the talented Spindleberry, stiff task against the geldings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (11/2 +8%)Relieved Of Duties |
11/2(+8%) | (3) Relieved Of Duties 11/2, The yard has won the last two runnings of this race. Improved when second, beaten 4/1l, in a novice chase at Cheltenham last time. The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Placed several times at Graded level over hurdles, FLEUR IN THE PARK has made a good start to his chasing career and got off the mark in taking style when dropping back to this trip at Wexford. Although not short of stamina, connections feel that his slick jumping can be utilised to best effect over two miles and that theory will be tested to a greater extent as he steps up in class here. Prominent racer Westport Cove has a considerable edge in chasing experience over the selection and his Grade 3 victory at Roscommon is solid form which has been franked by the placed horses. Second at Cheltenham last month, Relieved Of Duties is not one to discount.

There should be better to come from FLEUR IN THE PARK (nap) who created a positive impression at Wexford on his second chase start

13/8(+46%) | (3) Gaelic Warrior 13/8, Winner of four Grade 1s; bit keen but outclassed rivals when winning the Oaksey Chase (Grade 2) at Sandown over 2m7f by 5l last time. Effective from 2m to 3m1f, acts on soft and good; has to be considered. Found his vocation up in trip last season, good chance if continuing where he left off. |

11/8(-25%) | (1) Fact To File 11/8, Top-class chaser who won this race last year; never travelling and well below form when fourth, beaten 38l in the Champion Chase (Grade 1) over 2m here last time. Returning from a long layoff; effective from 2m3f to 3m1f, acts on soft and good, loves Punchestown; won this in 2023 but fitness may hold him back. Has had glory days at this venue, won this in 2023, off since below-par here a year ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (10/1 +50%)Heart Wood |
10/1(+50%) | (5) Heart Wood 10/1, Returned to form up in trip and down in grade when winning the BetVictor Chase (Grade 3) here over 2m7f by 2l last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m, acts on soft and good to soft; generally consistent at Graded level but needs more to win this. No match for Fact To File in the Ryanair, has the advantage of an outing this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (18/1 -64%)Inothewayurthinkin |
18/1(-64%) | (7) Inothewayurthinkin 18/1, Big improver, strong late on when winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase (Grade 1) over 3m2f by 6l last time. Effective up to 3m2f, acts on soft and good; this trip is on the short side and he was well beaten 12 months ago. Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, powerful stayer is likely to find this test inadequate. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (50/1 +24%)James Du Berlais |
50/1(+24%) | (8) James Du Berlais 50/1, Ran to form when winning the Colm Quinn BMW Handicap Chase (Grade 3) here by 4 1/4l last time; wears a hood for the first time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (40/1 -60%)Grangeclare West |
40/1(-60%) | (4) Grangeclare West 40/1, Bit below form when comfortably held in the bet365 Gold Cup over 3m5f at Sandown last time. 20/1(+70%) | (6) I Am Maximus 20/1, Ran to form off a high mark when second, beaten 2 1/2l in the Grand National over 4m2f at Aintree last time. Effective from 3m to 4m2f, acts on soft and good; 2024 Grand National winner, but this trip looks too sharp. 2024 Grand National hero, great effort when second in repeat bid, trip on the short side. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (11) (150/1 -20%)Senecia |
150/1(-20%) | (11) Senecia 150/1, Returned to form back down in trip when second, beaten 18l in the Clonmel Oil Chase (Grade 2) over 2m5f at Clonmel last time. The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

FACT TO FILE had 2023 winner Fastorslow back in fourth when winning a strong renewal of this a year ago and is taken to make a successful start to his third season over fences. A brilliant winner of the Ryanair in March, he didn't give his running when tried over two miles here the following month but it generally pays to be forgiving of horses who disappoint at that end-of-season festival. By contrast, Gaelic Warrior finished last term on a high when stepped up in trip and he has a good record at right-handed tracks, including this one. Brought along steadily before peaking spectacularly in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Inothewayurthinkin looks opposable on his reappearance.

The 2024 winner Fact To File has obvious prospects, but may not cope with GAELIC WARRIOR who ended the campaign in commanding form

1st (4) (2/1 +33%)It's Only A Game |
2/1(+33%) | (4) It's Only A Game 2/1, Promising debut when runner-up, beaten 6l in a big-field bumper over 2m here at the festival in spring; tongue-tie applied for the first time; effective at 2m and acts on yielding ground; improvement likely. A 6l runner-up in a bumper here in May; tongue-tie added on return and should go close. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (12/1 -20%)Boycetown |
12/1(-20%) | (2) Boycetown 12/1, Promising debut when runner-up, beaten 6l in a maiden over 3m at Quakerstown on only start; effective at 3m and handles yielding ground; open to improvement. Runner-up in a point in April and sold for Eur120,000 after; check for market confidence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (4/1 +27%)Treasure Memory |
4/1(+27%) | (7) Treasure Memory 4/1, Promising debut when second, beaten 3l in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Galway last time; effective at 2m and handles yielding ground; leading player on bumper debut. Runner-up in a point and Galway maiden hurdle; should go close with improvement from that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (7/2 -17%)Speculateur |
7/2(-17%) | (6) Speculateur 7/2, Improved on debut to get off the mark with a 9l win in a maiden point over 3m at Ballyknock; joined a top yard that has won this race twice in the last three years. Point winner is respected on rules debut for a top yard, more so if strong in the market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (7/2 -100%)Drombane |
7/2(-100%) | (3) Drombane 7/2, Wings Of Eagles gelding out of a useful Flat winner up to 2m2f; top yard excels in bumpers though has won this race only once in recent years; still expected to go well. Nicely-bred newcomer for the champion trainer and commands plenty of respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (125/1 -150%)Paymelater |
125/1(-150%) | (5) Paymelater 125/1, Well placed and ran to form when fourth, beaten 11l in a bumper at Down Royal last time; effective at 2m and handles good ground; inconsistent. Some decent efforts in 9 bumper starts but has to find improvement from somewhere to score. |

IT'S ONLY A GAME was well found in the market when second in a 20-runner bumper at the festival meeting here in May. Martin Brassil now fits a tongue-tie to the French-bred four-year-old, who is taken to go one place better. Treasure Memory was unfancied when second in a decent maiden hurdle at Galway and merits respect on his first bumper outing. Boycetown and Speculateur have shown ability in point-to-points and represent powerful yards, while Willie Mullins' debutant Drombane is out of a mare who was smart on the Flat and over hurdles.

With the benefit of a racefitness, point and Galway maiden hurdle runner-up TREASURE MEMORY can go one better under a top amateur.
Ths is the racecard key.
