The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This can go the way of newcomer KAWTHAR, who is bred to be speedy by Sioux Nation and related to a couple of winners at the trip. Another debutant bred on the precocious side for connections in decent form over the past few days, Blazing is one to be interested in along with Greek Gold, who is likely to improve plenty for a relatively promising first-time-out effort at Yarmouth last month.

The one that catches the eye is WILLOWINGHURN who will have learnt plenty from her debut run. Project Incheon is second best.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A major improver from first to second start when runner-up at Leicester last time out, CALAFIORI looks the one to beat on the rise in distance. That may be at the main expense of Davvy, who finished a respectable fourth in a Chester maiden recently and may be another to improve for going up in trip. Lope Y Linda and newcomer Miss Apres cannot be ruled out either.

It is still early days for these juveniles but CALAFIORI looks ready to strike following his second at Leicester nine days ago.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (13/2 +7%)Another Bungle |
13/2(+7%) | (6) Another Bungle 13/2, Yard has won last two runnings of race; raced freely second beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap at Ayr latest; showed willing attitude that day; hood first time; not out of it Made encouraging handicap debut when second of seven at Ayr three weeks ago.. |

8th (8) (20/1 0%)Aurora's Doublesix |
20/1(0%) | (8) Aurora's Doublesix 20/1, Probably outclassed down the field in a novice at Beverley most recent; returning from long layoff; bit to find even off this basement mark Finished last on all three starts for Mark Walford last year; hard to fancy.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Back to form with a narrow defeat at Windsor last time out, EARLY RELEASE may be set to regain the winning thread off 1lb higher, with Billy Loughnane taking over in the saddle. Runner-up on two of his last three starts, Azuinthejungle is a leading contender, as well as Another Bungle, who was behind a subsequent winner on handicap debut when second at Ayr.

It is hard to get away from EARLY RELEASE who was at his best when second at Windsor a fortnight ago. The danger is Azuinthejungle.

9/1(+0%) | (6) Jedhi Knight 9/1, Down the field in a maiden over 10f at Doncaster most recent where outclassed; ought to relish this step up in trip; unproven on fast ground; looks better than this mark; interesting at a price Down the field in three novice/maiden races this year at big odds; steps up in trip.. |

4th (3) (22/1 -10%)Arie Gordye |
22/1(-10%) | (3) Arie Gordye 22/1, Going probably on fast side beaten 6l in a handicap over 12f at Beverley last time; cheekpieces first time; longer trip should suit; may not relish fast ground once again Yet to be placed from five starts but being by an Arc winner she ought to improve in time.. |

40/1(-60%) | (7) Owt For Nowt 40/1, Slowly away comfortably held in a handicap over 10f here last time; should come on for the run; generally out of form; may not relish fast ground; longer trip may suit; others preferred Well held on seasonal/stable debut here last month and needs to show more.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (50/1 -150%)Time For Dessert |
50/1(-150%) | (8) Time For Dessert 50/1, Below par well beaten in a novice over 10f at Wetherby latest; blinkers first time; up in trip; unproven on fast ground; yet to show anything; impossible to fancy Has beaten only two in three novice fillies' contests this year; steps up in trip.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Bellator Bullet ran on well to finish second at Newcastle and the Alice Haynes gelding looks a danger to all stepping up in trip. He only gets 3lb from ANALOGICAL, who runs under a 6lb penalty after winning by nearly two lengths over 1m4f at Beverley on his handicap debut, though he may have even more to offer for Sir Mark Prescott, with the increased distance a bonus. Cantalice might prove best of the rest for trainer Marco Botti.

This should be a formality for ANALOGICAL to follow up after his easy win at Beverley last week. Second best is Bellator Bullet.

5th (4) (18/1 -13%)Bowood |
18/1(-13%) | (4) Bowood 18/1, Raced freely well beaten in a handicap at Ripon latest having missed the break; generally out of form; further ease in the weights not enough to recommend Raced too freely following a slow start back on turf at Ripon last month; best watched.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (11/1 -175%)Savvy Kingdom |
11/1(-175%) | (3) Savvy Kingdom 11/1, Ideally suited by trip when landing a handicap by 1/2l off 78 at Newcastle last time overcoming trouble; trainer in form; remains well treated on novice win; danger Missed last year but won on AW at Newcastle 17 days ago; should run well back on turf.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Savvy Kingdom missed 2024 and improved for his return third at Lingfield with a victory at Newcastle and the switch to turf is unlikely to hamper his chances, despite a 3lb rise. Leadenhall scored comfortably enough at Pontefract to suggest an added 5lb may not stop him going close, but CADARN is preferred. Travelling well throughout over C&D last month, he kept on well to win by a length and has the scope for further improvement.

There should be more to come from CADARN after his win over C&D four weeks ago. Savvy Kingdom rates as the main danger.

15/2(+25%) | (10) Papa Cocktail 15/2, Below par down the field in a handicap at Haydock most recent where outpaced; usually held up; looking regressive Yet to make the frame since returning from 16-month absence for current trainer. |

12/1(-20%) | (4) Taygar 12/1, Probably needed race beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap over 5f at Doncaster last time; up in trip; C&D winner last autumn; versatile ground wise; outside chance May have found ground too quick when eighth of 11 at Doncaster last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (14/1 -40%)Bayraat |
14/1(-40%) | (8) Bayraat 14/1, Below par beaten 9l in a handicap over 5f at Haydock last time; inconsistent; returning from long layoff; up in trip; fast ground suits; place claims 1-21 under rules and doesn't strike as the sort to win following an eight-month absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (4/1 +20%)One Of Our Own |
4/1(+20%) | (7) One Of Our Own 4/1, Ran to form beaten 2 1/2l off 63 at Catterick last time; relishes fast ground; on last winning mark; has struggled at this venue before and best at Catterick Has finished close up on her last two starts and she should go close. |

8th (6) (17/2 -55%)Dandy Dinmont |
17/2(-55%) | (6) Dandy Dinmont 17/2, Did not get a clear run beaten 3l off 66 over 5f at Doncaster last time having missed the break; in good form previously; up in trip; bit more needed Hasn't been beaten far in three starts this year but needs a strong pace to show his best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (40/1 -60%)Running Cool |
40/1(-60%) | (5) Running Cool 40/1, Going probably on fast side well beaten in a handicap at Catterick latest; should come on for the run; generally out of form; top course trainer; bit to find Has struggled for his current yard since coming from Ireland where he won twice in 2023. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

One Of Our Own has won off this mark and with a C&D win to her name in 2023, she has to enter calculations. Muscika may be a veteran at the age of 11 but he won off 3lb higher at Newcastle in January and cannot be easily overlooked, though top-weight ONE MORE DREAM may have their beating. A winner at Pontefract in April and at Doncaster this month, he met trouble in running before his Catterick second, and could go one better now.

The mare ONE OF OUR OWN looks ready to strike after a couple of close-up efforts. She has most to fear from One More Dream.

8th (4) (25/1 -25%)Fletchers Dream |
25/1(-25%) | (4) Fletchers Dream 25/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap over 8f at Thirsk most recent; went too fast that day; generally out of form; drop down in trip a plus; well treated on winter AW win; risky Both wins have been on AW; well-held on seasonal debut at Thirsk last month. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

NOVELLO LAD ran out of steam in the closing stages when sent off favourite at Doncaster on his reappearance. That outing should have brought him on a good deal and the four-year-old is fancied to make amends, given he finished runner-up off today's mark here last summer. Willolarupi looks on a workable mark based on his second at Wetherby, while the recent 5f winner Sugar Baby is a worth a try over this extra furlong.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

It could pay to stick with the recent Yarmouth winner MAKES ME WONDER. He looked good value for more than the official winning margin, given he failed to get a clear run, and that defeat of Zappata has worked out well. Mister Sky Blue produced a strong finish when successful over 6f at Hamilton and he can feature again, while Flamborough Head could be in the mix, representing Tim Easterby who landed two divisions of this contest in 2024.

The switch to turf made a big difference to MAKES ME WONDER (nap) who impressed over 1m at Yarmouth and can prove at home over 7f, too.
Ths is the racecard key.
