Having filled the runner-up spot on both outings to date, Homestrait looks sure to give another good account. However, BLEEP TEST was unlucky to bump into subsequent Lily Agnes winner Ali Shuffle on her introduction here and she could take all the beating if handling the extra furlong. Lovethiswayagain is another potential improver, while market support for Hamaleel and Going Again on debut would be interesting.

The Tim Easterby-trained BLEEP TEST showed enough when second here on her debut to suggest she can win a race like this.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although she finished last of four over an extended 1m3f at Windsor earlier this month, MAYWEDANCE might relish this stiffer test of stamina. Adrian Nicholls' filly is effectively racing off 9lb lower in the ratings if taking Jack Nicholls' claim into account and a breakthrough victory may beckon. Rommie The Miracle posted an encouraging third on her handicap bow at Beverley a fortnight ago and she's feared most, ahead of recent Haydock runner-up Requiem.

The unexposed BRAVE EMERALD is taken to get off the mark on his handicap debut by beating recent Haydock runner-up Requiem.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MAFTING has gone agonisingly close on his two starts to date and looks a winner in waiting at this level. The son of Too Darn Hot can make it third-time lucky, possibly at the main expense of War Supremo. The Crisfords' gelding posted his best effort to date when third at Chelmsford earlier this month and a similar performance on his turf bow should see him involved. Burj Zabeel and Bin Ajwad are others of interest.

Mafting has suffered two short-priced defeats but he's the form choice. An interesting alternative is BURJ ZABEEL.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JET BLACK put in a career best when filling second place on her handicap debut over this trip at Nottingham recently and Andrew Balding's filly is hard to oppose on the back of that performance. Spirit Of The Bay could prove to be the main threat following her encouraging comeback effort at Windsor, while Kaaress is another with valid form claims.

This can go to JET BLACK (nap), who showed improved form over 1m2f on handicap debut last time, form that has been franked by the third

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MISEMERALD appeared to improve for the step up to an extended mile when a close second at Nottingham and the Philip Kirby-trained four-year-old tops the shortlist, despite a 1lb rise. Recent Newcastle winner Cuban Fiesta has to be noted following that success, although his previous turf form is a concern. Others to note are Poet's Dawn, Northern Cracksman and Ravishing Beauty.

Kept to this distance and grade, MISEMERALD could well build on her latest effort and register a belated first handicap success.

BANTZ has shown improvement on the all-weather this year and carried that over to the turf when scoring at Doncaster. Gemma Tutty's son of Kodiac looks worth sticking with in his current frame of mind, raised only 4lb. I Can Boogy beat Perfidia by a neck over C&D last week, but the runner-up failed to get a clear run and it would be no surprise if he turned the tables.

In what looks an open race the unexposed TORTOISESHELL is taken to win on her handicap/turf debut. Perfidia is next best.

10th (11) (66/1 -65%)Peachey Carnehan |
66/1(-65%) | (11) Peachey Carnehan 66/1, Below par down the field in a handicap over 7f at Chepstow most recent; better form on AW of late; down in trip; lot to find Veteran who has weak claims on recent form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Paul Midgley trained last year's winner and his Masterclass steps back up in trip under a penalty after scoring over 5f at Nottingham. However, SO GRATEFUL won over this distance at Thirsk on his latest start and a 3lb rise may not be enough to anchor him, with a leading amateur in Serena Brotherton taking over the reins. Four Adaay has eased in the weights and is not out of it either.

The shortlist is headed by KURIMU and Let's Go Hugo, who are interesting alternatives to the two last-time winners in the field.
Ths is the racecard key.
