1st (5) (15/8 +77%)Sword Maker |
15/8(+77%) | (5) Sword Maker 15/8, Well beaten in a hot maiden over 7f at Newmarket (July) only start; this easier; shortlisted down in grade Low-key debut; this is patently easier and market should be informative. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (18/1 -157%)Naawi |
18/1(-157%) | (4) Naawi 18/1, Yard has won 2 of last 9 runnings of race; slowly away beaten 8 1/4l in a maiden at Doncaster on debut; should improve; could figure Similar profile to Copperfield and could be one for a bit further down the line too. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (9/4 -64%)Tactical Formation |
9/4(-64%) | (7) Tactical Formation 9/4, 8 1/4l fourth in a maiden at York first-time out; winner has won since; squeak This 360,000gns breeze-up buy is surely capable of better than we saw on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (4/1 +20%)Hypnotised |
4/1(+20%) | (3) Hypnotised 4/1, Colt by high-class sprinter No Nay Never; half-brother to Nightwalker, very smart from 1m to 1m2f; dam smart sprinter Sleep Walk; probably effective 6f; chance Lot to like on paper and he's in good hands. |

5th (1) (4/1 +33%)Copperfield |
4/1(+33%) | (1) Copperfield 4/1, Did not get a clear run when slowly away beaten 8 1/2l in a maiden at Doncaster on debut; likely improver; may contend This half-brother to Shaquille ran okay on debut but might need a bit more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (125/1 -89%)Everydaysasaturday |
125/1(-89%) | (2) Everydaysasaturday 125/1, Beaten 9 1/2l in a novice at Pontefract last time; usually consistent; not progressed from debut; bit to find The others to have run have achieved more. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Bred in the purple as a half-brother to July Cup winner Shaquille, COPPERFIELD never had a chance when failing to get a clear run on debut at Doncaster, but he still kept on well towards the finish. With improvement expected, Julie Camacho's charge may be able to see off Tactical Formation, who finished fourth first time out at York last month. A neck ahead of the selection in that contest at Doncaster, Naawi is another to consider, as well as well-bred newcomer Hypnotised.

Those to have run have achieved a combined peak RPR of just 65 so this looks best left to sole newcomer HYPNOTISED.

33/1(-230%) | (7) Monetize 33/1, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in a maiden over 1m at Ripon last time; usually consistent; usually held up; has experience edge, but more needed Can't support with confidence given what we saw last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (125/1 -150%)Fantoccia |
125/1(-150%) | (5) Fantoccia 125/1, Slowly away beaten 8l in a maiden at Thirsk on modest debut; needs to improve 22-1 when finishing three places behind Isle Of Paradise on debut at Thirsk this month. |

300/1(-100%) | (1) Wats On Lady 300/1, Probably effective 7f; may need race on return Bit slipped through mouth when pulled up in AW mares' bumper in January (sent off 80-1). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Runner-up on both career outings, CIRCIOS sets the standard on form and this appeals as an ideal opportunity to get off the mark. Returning to 7f looks like a good move for Empire Power, having not shown much over further the last twice, while 75,000gns purchase Crystal Dagger looks like the pick of the newcomers for a stable that is having a strong season.

Ralph Beckett's CIRCIOS will take all the beating competing against just her own sex for the first time.

2nd (8) (15/2 +0%)Triple Force |

6th (2) (40/1 -150%)Sectarius |
40/1(-150%) | (2) Sectarius 40/1, Yard has won 3 of last 5 runnings of race; raced freely down the field in a handicap over 1m5f at Hamilton most recent; top course trainer; off a short-break; more needed Hard to assess but might want ground to ease having first start since leaving Ed Bethell. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (10/1 -100%)Tetsworth |
10/1(-100%) | (9) Tetsworth 10/1, Looked to want further well beaten in a novice over 1m at Carlisle latest; usually consistent; chance back up in trip Two fair runs followed by a poor one (excusable); this handicap looks suitable. |

8th (7) (25/1 -127%)Bearwith |
25/1(-127%) | (7) Bearwith 25/1, Well backed and plenty to do scored by a neck off 65 at Doncaster penultimate start; probably not stay over 1m4f when fifth beaten 14l off 69 last time; tongue-tie first time; risky after latest effort, but can do better back down in trip Latest effort not worth dwelling on but others are higher on the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

40/1(-21%) | (4) Ajdayet 40/1, Appeared not to stay well beaten in a handicap at Ayr over 1m2f latest; sole win on AW; bit to prove Can't support on what we've seen for new yard in 2025. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (125/1 -279%)Cracker Star |
125/1(-279%) | (5) Cracker Star 125/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap at Ayr most recent over 1m2f; poor form over hurdles prior, but did win final start of 2024 on flat; place claims Good spell in handicaps for Richard Hughes last year but little of note since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Tuned out again quickly after a respectable fourth on handicap debut at Ayr, FOREST CAPER is bred to improve for going up in trip and a mark of 75 still looks manageable for David O'Meara's charge. Dropping back to the distance where he won twice last month should be a positive for Triple Force, while Bamburgh continues to run with credit and is likely to be thereabouts again.

A chance is taken on KING CHAOS who should get a pace to aim at back over a more suitable trip.

10/3(+26%) | (1) Radiant Beauty 10/3, Scored by a head off 75 at Kempton penultimate start; fourth beaten 9 1/2l off 77 last time; all three wins have come on AW, but not without a chance Three-time AW winner; tongue-tie/hood removed on stable debut; watch the market. |

2nd (3) (3/1 +54%)She's The Duchess |
3/1(+54%) | (3) She's The Duchess 3/1, Ran to form beaten 3l off 80 at Sandown last time; tongue-tie first time; without a win since debut (AW), but hasn't been far away since; outside chance Ran to a similar level in all four starts since winning on debut (AW); tongue-tie applied. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (9/4 -13%)Callisto Dream |
9/4(-13%) | (2) Callisto Dream 9/4, Didn't get the cleanest trip and probably bit better than bare form beaten 2l off 80 at Ascot last time; suited by 1m, acts on GS and GF; nice type; major player Made all in a Goodwood novice; ran well on handicap debut at Ascot; may yet do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (10/3 +0%)Latynina |
10/3(+0%) | (6) Latynina 10/3, Weak in the market when winning a maiden at Chester over 7f by 2l last time; steadily progressive; contender on handicap debut Got off the mark at the fourth attempt at Chester last time; up to 1m for handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (12/1 -85%)Singoura |
12/1(-85%) | (4) Singoura 12/1, Ran to form beaten 3 1/4l off 75 over 7f at Doncaster last time; that was an improvement after a below par effort at York prior; chance Won at Southwell in December; too free in her last two starts; now steps up to 1m. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LATYNINA got off the mark at the fourth time of asking at Chester earlier in the month and makes her first start in a handicap off a mark of 69. David O'Meara's filly takes a step up in trip, which could bring out the improvement required to go in again. Callisto Dream finished a respectable third in a warmer event at Ascot last time and she has to be considered. She's The Duchess looks best of the rest.

Radiant Beauty is interesting on stable debut but CALLISTO DREAM (nap) is the selection after a solid run at Ascot on handicap debut

40/1(-82%) | (12) Passchendaele 40/1, Appeared not to stay well beaten in a handicap over 1m at Ripon latest; trainer in form; opposed until offering more Has beaten only one rival home in his four starts (6f-1m); drops back in trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CROCUS TIME outran her odds of 80/1 to make the frame on her first start for the Ron Barr yard at Thirsk at the start of the month. The daughter of Acclamation goes off just a 2lb higher mark and if the four-year-old is in similar form, she will prove hard to beat. Carlton And Co is 1lb lower than her latest fourth at Pontefract on her latest outing and she is one to keep an eye on. Brian The Snail completes the shortlist.

Brave Bob (second choice) may be able to bounce back from Ayr but CRAFTY SPIRIT should be suited by the return to 6f.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

GOOD KARMA returned to winning ways at Thirsk earlier in the month and has since switched to the Barry Murtagh stable. The five-year-old may only need to reproduce that level of form in order to complete a double. Sandret made the frame in this grade at Newcastle last time and should remain competitive off a 1lb lower rating. Copper And Five is another to note.

The tentative selection is dual C&D winner COPPER AND FIVE who is back on his last winning mark. Angel Of The Bay is second choice.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
