|U| (6) (5/4 +44%)Birdie Or Bust |
5/4(+44%) | (6) Birdie Or Bust 5/4, Improved effort when winning a beginners chase chase at Killarney over 2m5f by 7l last time jumping boldly; more to come; threat Rated 140, first chase win over 2m5f latest, drops markedly in trip, obvious chance. |

|U| (5) (12/1 -71%)A Law Of Her Own |
12/1(-71%) | (5) A Law Of Her Own 12/1, Well backed 3l third in a Mares chase over 2m4f at Limerick most recent run; down in trip; likes the track; vulnerable to improver 1-8 over fences, placed in a Gr 3 novice over C&D last year, this her trip, leading claims. |

BIRDIE OR BUST has recent winning form and should go well dropping in distance. A Listed novice hurdle winner, she was well held on her initial chase runs and while left clear to win at Killarney, that was nonetheless a good performance. Runcok attained a higher hurdles rating of 141 than the selection and debuts under a 7lb claimer on chase debut. Itsalladream chased home a useful winner at Ballinrobe and has place claims.

A LAW OF HER OWN gets the nod. This is her optimum distance and she ran a blinder in a Grade 3 novice over C&D last September

33/1(-32%) | (10) Dreamz 33/1, Raced freely down the field in a handicap hurdle at Naas most recent; generally out of form; lot to find on chase debut Maiden, lost form since good run in May 2024, best watched on chase debut after break. |

INTHENICKOFTIME has been running well and represents an in-form yard. The selection would ideally prefer slightly further but scored over a similar distance over hurdles last August and likes good ground. Four-time winner Prince Of Air is more exposed and has three and a half lengths to find with the selection on Killarney form, but is an able performer at this level. Charlies Pride is similarly suited by conditions and ran well at Tipperary last month.

This looks a good chance for INTHENICKOFTIME to get his head in front over fences dropped back in trip after a solid run at Killarney

6/5(-125%) | (1) Pied Piper 6/5, Something in hand won a novice chase at Killarney over 2m7f by 23l last time; drop in trip a plus; unbeaten over fences; could prove tough to peg back Talented hurdler, earned a rating of 150 after two easy chase wins, the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (22/1 +67%)Midnight Moonshine |
22/1(+67%) | (2) Midnight Moonshine 22/1, Comfortably held in a beginners chase chase over 2m1f at Ballinrobe last time; longer trip a plus; all to do and likely outclassed Point winner, well beaten in both starts under Rules, unlikely to be the answer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (8/11 +55%)Zenta |
8/11(+55%) | (4) Zenta 8/11, Pulled up in Novice Handicap Chase (Listed) over 2m4f at Punchestown latest; progressive prior; trainer in form; Grade 1 winning hurdler; gets weight from main rival; strong claims Rated 140, sole chase win on soft-heavy, looks the main danger but may need it softer. |

Siding with PIED PIPER would appear to be the safest course of action. Gordon Elliott's charge was formerly a very useful hurdler and has taken pretty well to the chasing game in a couple of starts over the larger obstacles. Improvement in his jumping was noted at Killarney and an uncomplicated front-running approach could well see further gains for the money-spinning chestnut. A chunky weight concession may see some go for the mare Zenta in search of a bit of value. Midnight Moonshine is next best.

PIED PIPER (nap) hacked up on his first two chase starts and he should be able to complete the hat-trick on ground he'll relish.

Connections will be keen to make up for lost time with THE ELECTRICAL KID, who can make a winning debut over fences. Hailing from the Henry de Bromhead yard and given his point-to-point background, improvement may well be forthcoming from the Malinas gelding in this discipline. It's a worry that the former Willie Mullins inmate has seen the racecourse so infrequently, but hopefully connections can get a clear run with him now. Presenting Max and On Lovers Walk are others to consider.

Preference is for ON LOVERS WALK who may be able to make his experience over fences count back in a beginners' chase.

6th (7) (100/1 -52%)Amyr |
100/1(-52%) | (7) Amyr 100/1, Second beaten 6l in a conditions race over 3m at Stradbally latest; returning from long layoff; not proven trip; all to do Has won a point since struggling in two chase runs nearly two years ago. |

LUCKINTHECITY has been competing in Graded company and can show the benefit of taking a drop in class. This trip and ground would look a good fit for the selection, as he showed at Cork last October. Since then the chasing debutant has failed to complete in a couple of outings, but he has a race-fitness edge over his stable companion Uncle Pat. It should be revealing as to how the pair shape up in the market. Willie Mullins isn't the only trainer with dual representation, as Gordon Elliott fields Harsh and Heroes Rise. His pair can't be taken lightly, with similar comments applying to Brave Fortune.

This may go to BRAVE FORTUNE who has the measure of Heroes Rise on a previous clash over hurdles. He made a pleasing chase debut.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (16/1 +0%)Donkey Years |
16/1(+0%) | (2) Donkey Years 16/1, Looked unenthusiastic comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Killarney last time; inconsistent veteran; chance if on a going day Last chase success was over three years ago; well beaten in the Killarney National. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (11) (9/1 +59%)Arrycan |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (12/1 +0%)Brazil |
12/1(+0%) | (7) Brazil 12/1, Seemed to be on stiff mark well beaten in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Killarney latest; usually held up; not proven trip; appears regressive Much better hurdler than chaser and he's now 0-7 in this discipline; modest latest effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (12/1 +33%)The Gradual Slope |
12/1(+33%) | (13) The Gradual Slope 12/1, Raced freely comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Killarney last time; generally out of form since course win last spring; must bounce back 3m7f winner last May off this mark but needs to rediscover that level of form. |

Having performed well when fifth in a stronger contest at Killarney recently, THE GRADUAL SLOPE shouldn't be far away. Dropped 2lb subsequently, the Sean O'Brien-trained gelding is now back on the same mark as when he won at last year's Punchestown Festival. Lightly raced over fences, Dorans Law has to be a leading contender for the in-form Philip Rothwell yard. He confirmed his well-being when runner-up at Down Royal last month. Handicap chase debutant Beggars Rock is another to consider.

A chance is taken on MICA MALPIC, who was soon out of her comfort zone over 2m a month ago when returning from a long absence.

A faller on his chasing debut at Limerick last month, WEST CLARE can make amends. The Brian McMahon-trained gelding had gone into that contest in good form, having won over hurdles at Listowel on his previous start. Runner-up in a point-to-point earlier in his career, the son of Leading Light deserves another chance to show he is capable of better. Derek O'Connor looks a significant jockey booking in a race such as this. Da Big Fella hasn't won in almost four years but has run some nice races in the interim. Top-weight Burru could be well handicapped.

A modest race. THEHAIRYFELLA has still to get his head in front but he's a trier and was keeping on well over a similar trip at Wexford
Ths is the racecard key.
