1st (7) (3/1 +70%)Safari Dream |
3/1(+70%) | (7) Safari Dream 3/1, All three wins over 5f (turf); bumped into one on penultimate start over 6f (AW); flopped last time back on turf; not the most convincing Below par back on turf latest; earlier AW efforts give him claims; no win since 2yo days. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (11/2 +35%)Beau Jardine |
11/2(+35%) | (8) Beau Jardine 11/2, Might need it a little softer; capable of being involved for a place 5lbs below last winning mark; is a C&D winner Easy win in this race last year off 4lb higher; promising reappearance; high on the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (66/1 -164%)Mammy |
66/1(-164%) | (4) Mammy 66/1, Turf form is not particularly convincing; may have needed it when last by 10.5l in April over 7f; back at 6f today Low-key stable debut at Brighton last month; yard looks to hold stronger claims elsewhere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (10/1 +0%)The Cola Kid |
10/1(+0%) | (9) The Cola Kid 10/1, Third over C&D last time, when Beau Jardine was fifth; can contend if backing up that effort with conditions to suit Best run for a while when 3rd over C&D 11 days ago; needs more to end losing run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (15/2 +46%)Unico |
15/2(+46%) | (5) Unico 15/2, Last on return in April; needs to come forward for that Still seeking first win for this yard but on good mark and has talented apprentice booked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (10/3 +33%)Clipsham La Habana |
10/3(+33%) | (1) Clipsham La Habana 10/3, Not the most consistent and hasn't won since December 2022; wants to lead; comes back to 6f which is a plus; place chance On a long losing run but his return to action (7f) was encouraging with a view to 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (7/2 -56%)Thunderous Love |
7/2(-56%) | (6) Thunderous Love 7/2, Has had a good start to this season, winning on both starts; two winners have come out of penultimate start; up another 3lbs for good win last time; ought to be competitive Two ready 6f wins this season; 3lb rise shouldn't prevent a bold bid for the hat-trick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (11/1 +31%)Little Miss Magic |
11/1(+31%) | (3) Little Miss Magic 11/1, Didn't really go on after winning in August (after short break); mark is career-low; out of form when last seen in December and needs to bounce back Didn't kick on from her winning stable debut at Bath last summer; others look safer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

THUNDEROUS LOVE arrives here on the back of two wins last month and a 3lb rise for the most recent of those victories may not be enough to stop her from making it a hat-trick. The Cola Kid was a close third over course and distance earlier in the month and could make the frame again, while Clipsham La Habana and First Company are others to note.

Thunderous Love is the one to beat but UNICO looks a viable alternative now her yard has hit top gear.

1st (5) (3/1 +63%)Macari |
3/1(+63%) | (5) Macari 3/1, Won over hurdles on return in April; below par next time; rider lost stick last time; can show a bit more than that Rather in and out but his recent third at Goodwood (1m6f, good) was creditable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (9/4 +68%)Youthful King |
9/4(+68%) | (2) Youthful King 9/4, Ran creditably at around 2m when upped in trip in April and March in a couple of class 2s; below best last time over 12f; needs a bit more than that at this new trip; back on last winning mark Respectable fourth of seven at Newbury (2m) off 3lb higher on penultimate start; hood now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (13/8 -8%)Media Mogul |
13/8(-8%) | (6) Media Mogul 13/8, Steadily progressive since debut in December; has won on last two starts (including turf debut last time over 14f); second and fourth from last time have won since; cheekpieces kept on; big player going for a hat-trick Winning his last two wasn't without difficulty but this staying prospect has more to give. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (9/1 +55%)Chillhi |
9/1(+55%) | (7) Chillhi 9/1, Out of form this year; will need plenty more if he's to win It's over a year since he accomplished anything significant; 5lb out of the handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (18/1 -157%)Salsada |
18/1(-157%) | (1) Salsada 18/1, Has been hurdling since October; pulled up on last start in March; 2-6 on flat turf; a bit to find Seen far more often over hurdles in recent years but pulled up in March on latest outing. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

It is hard to oppose MEDIA MOGUL, who followed up his Wolverhampton win in March with a success at Redcar last time. A further 3lb rise may still underestimate this progressive four-year-old and he clearly tops the shortlist. Macari made the frame over this trip at Goodwood a couple of weeks ago and is likely to be thereabouts again. Kotari edges out Youthful King to be best of the rest.

It may not be easy viewing, if the wins on his last two starts are anything to go by, but MEDIA MOGUL can complete the hat-trick.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (11/8 +50%)Charlie Boyo |
11/8(+50%) | (2) Charlie Boyo 11/8, 12 Mar; 75,000 euros Kodi Bear colt; dam half-sister to G1/G2 winner Arcano (including Prix Morny); shortlist 75,000euros yearling; 1st foal out of unraced half-sister to 6f 2yo Group 1 winner Arcano. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (18/1 -80%)Palmeira |
18/1(-80%) | (8) Palmeira 18/1, 18 Jan; Havana Grey filly; dam 7f turf winner and half-sister to Gale Force Maya (5.5-6f AW/turf winner, including Listed), Psychedelic Funk (6-7.5f turf winner, including G3) and Gurkha Friend (6-9f turf winner) First foal out of a 7f 2yo winner; looks the stable second string on jockey bookings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (9/4 +59%)Hengroin |
9/4(+59%) | (6) Hengroin 9/4, 31 Mar; 38,000 euros Lucky Vega colt; half-brother to Verimli (10.5-12f turf winner, Listed placed) and Veydari (6f turf winner); dam unraced half-sister to Verema (12-15f winner including G2/G3); appeals on paper May need further than the minimum; stable's first 2yo runner of the season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (150/1 -127%)Henfield |
150/1(-127%) | (7) Henfield 150/1, 15 Mar; Cityscape filly; dam 1m AW winner and half-sister to 6/12f turf/AW winner and 20f hurdle winner; best watched First foal; dam 1m 2yo winner (RPR 69); stable doesn't have many 2yo runners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (11/1 -83%)Chilliconcarneigh |
11/1(-83%) | (3) Chilliconcarneigh 11/1, 5 Apr; 50,000 euros Coulsty colt; half-brother to Gaiety Musical (8-8.5f AW winner), Izzer (5f turf winner) and The Mad Monk (7f AW winner) May get further but must be showing speed at home to be kicking off at 5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (11/2 +31%)Baybe Driver |
11/2(+31%) | (1) Baybe Driver 11/2, 12 Feb; 40,000gns Pinatubo colt; half-brother to Nigel Nott (5/6f AW winner), Baileys Jubilation (5f turf) and Baileys Breathless (6f AW); looks the pick of two for the yard; one to consider 40,000gns yearling from a quick family; stable's 2yos already off the mark; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (33/1 -175%)Ebn Sabt |
33/1(-175%) | (5) Ebn Sabt 33/1, 29 Apr; 45,000gns Ardad colt; half-brother to Admiral Churchill (7f turf winner); dam average at 1m+ 45,000gns yearling; third foal; closely related to 7f winner Admiral Churchill (RPR 93). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The betting market will be a key guide here, but marginal preference is for COMICAL POINT. Andrew Balding's colt cost 140,000gns as a yearling and his dam won over 5f as a two-year-old. With that in mind, the son of Blue Point merits the utmost respect, although Baybe Driver is another whose pedigree suggests that he could be a useful juvenile. Charlie Boyo, Chilliconcarneigh and Palmeira are others to consider.

A guessing game with no form to work with. BAYBE DRIVER is out of a 5f 2yo winner and his yard's youngsters are already off the mark.

13/8(+46%) | (4) Rumba Bay 13/8, A winner over 6/7f AW this year; ran to form last time and should give this a good go Two AW wins this year; close 4th at Nottingham latest but finished behind Dark Sorceress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (6/1 +8%)Piranha Rama |
6/1(+8%) | (2) Piranha Rama 6/1, The step back to 6f looks sensible; a winner of 62 in November; down to 60 today; in with a chance Won three 6f nurseries last year; gone quiet of late and visor needs to revive fortunes. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (9/2 -50%)Jagetme |
9/2(-50%) | (3) Jagetme 9/2, Ran well last time on handicap debut having been off a while; should improve for that and remains on the same mark; high on the list Good 3rd on last month's handicap debut (5f); can progress further and should stay 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (22/1 +12%)Rogue Endeavour |
22/1(+12%) | (6) Rogue Endeavour 22/1, No notable form to date; first start for new yard; safe enough to pass over No impact in handicaps thus far; starts out for new yard off a reduced mark but risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (14/1 +50%)Oldbury Lad |
14/1(+50%) | (9) Oldbury Lad 14/1, Hung left-handed last time; not solid form, isn't the most convincing No progress for handicaps the last twice; cheekpieces now added; not a solid option. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (9/1 -38%)Off The Bench |
9/1(-38%) | (7) Off The Bench 9/1, Has shown signs of ability for his new trainer this year; 6f is fine; possible contender 8lb better off with Dark Sorceress on AW run in March; not progressed but still has time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (40/1 -21%)Pipkin |
40/1(-21%) | (11) Pipkin 40/1, Last in three novice starts; needs plenty of improvement on handicap debut Poor form in novice runs on AW this winter; more realistic task today; bred to do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (11/2 +8%)Dark Sorceress |
11/2(+8%) | (8) Dark Sorceress 11/2, Well treated at weights when scoring by 1/2l off 52 at Chelmsford three starts back; ahead of Rumba Bay last time when slowly away; up 1lb for that solid effort and is in the mix Improved filly this year; conditions should suit and cheekpieces could help; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (40/1 -21%)Lily's Symphony |
40/1(-21%) | (10) Lily's Symphony 40/1, Has done little to suggest she will be winning this No improvement for handicapping the last twice; cheekpieces need to have a positive effect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (11/1 +45%)Maury |
11/1(+45%) | (1) Maury 11/1, Not seen much in a couple of novices and a maiden; has a bit to find Latest run was his best but it was a steadily run maiden and may prove misleading. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (28/1 -12%)Prince Of Joy |
28/1(-12%) | (5) Prince Of Joy 28/1, Well beaten on both handicap starts this year; down 2lbs; needs much more Still has low mileage and yard in good form but two runs this year haven't been persuasive. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A highly encouraging third on her handicap debut at Lingfield last month, JAGETME is likely to have improvement to come over further and she can strike with Billy Loughnane taking over in the saddle. Dark Sorceress had Rumba Bay (fourth) behind when runner-up at Nottingham last time and both are entitled to be thereabouts again. Off The Bench and Piranha Rama cannot be ruled out either.

Jagetme and Dark Sorceress are respected but a stiff 6f could prompt an improved showing from OFF THE BENCH.

1st (5) (9/4 +10%)Arabian Force |
9/4(+10%) | (5) Arabian Force 9/4, Showed ability when sixth on debut (first and second have won since); improved from that to win last time on turf debut; 10f ought to be no problem and makes plenty of appeal Clung on gamely at Wetherby; more needed under a penalty but he's up in trip here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (1/4 +50%)Gladius |
1/4(+50%) | (6) Gladius 1/4, Rattled home to make a winning debut; second, third and tenth have won since; half-sister Lovely Esteem was third in a G2; can do better still and is very much of note Picked up nicely to make a winning debut at Kempton and that form has worked out well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (50/1 +0%)Cinderella Man |
50/1(+0%) | (2) Cinderella Man 50/1, 1,000gns breeze-up purchase by Kodiac; half-brother to Fast Tara (1m heavy turf winner); dam not very good Value dropped from 78,000gns as a yearling to 1,000gns at two; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (80/1 +20%)Bradshaw |
80/1(+20%) | (1) Bradshaw 80/1, Slowly away on debut when showing little; not seen on flat since; three hurdles starts this season have been poor; looks to have a bit to do One Flat run in France; poor form in three hurdle races for current yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (150/1 -88%)Landing Board |
150/1(-88%) | (3) Landing Board 150/1, Didn't appear to see out 10f on debut in October; changed stables and was well behind on return in April; work to do One run for former yard and sold on for 15,000gns; finished tailed off at Epsom. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (66/1 +0%)Paps Of Jura |
66/1(+0%) | (4) Paps Of Jura 66/1, Mountain High gelding; half-brother to very average jumper Canyouseeme; dam 7/8f turf winner Dam 7f/1m winner (RPR 67); rare Flat runner for his jumps-geared stable. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ARABIAN FORCE showed major improvement from first to second start when a determined winner at Wetherby and going up in trip should bring about further progress. The form of the stable is another plus, and the son of Lope De Vega is narrowly preferred to Gladius, who scored on debut at Kempton over 1m in a contest that has worked out well since. Spanish Train got the hang of things late in the piece at the same track last month and he is another to consider.

Expensive yearling GLADIUS impressed on his debut at Kempton and that form looks even better now.

15/8(+58%) | (5) Princess Rascal 15/8, Ran with promise when last on debut in what could be a good race; up to 10f today; dam was a 10f AW winner; the one to beat Never out of last place at Ascot (1m, good to firm) but was only about 2l off the winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (1/1 +60%)Club Class |
1/1(+60%) | (4) Club Class 1/1, Placed last time on return; can come on for that and looks likely to stay this far; can't discount Kept on well for third at Haydock and this longer trip looks sure to benefit her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (15/2 -173%)Cloaks Of Gold |
15/2(-173%) | (3) Cloaks Of Gold 15/2, Cracksman filly; half-sister to Subastar (1m debut turf winner, 3/4 in 10f Listed) and Subaana (1m debut turf winner); has already had wind surgery; has a chance Plenty to like on paper and kicks off in a modest race; had wind surgery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (16/1 -45%)Simply Ruby |
16/1(-45%) | (6) Simply Ruby 16/1, Not disgraced when fifth on debut; might want a bit further; half-sister to The Gadget Man (14/16f turf winner) Came under early pressure before staying on to some effect at Lingfield. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (17/2 -155%)Lightning Touch |
17/2(-155%) | (1) Lightning Touch 17/2, 3l behind Friendly Soul when last seen in December 2023; seven winners from that race; needs to return in top form; very well bred; can play a part Long absence to overcome but shaped well behind smart horses in late 2023. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (250/1 -279%)Sweet Nightingale |
250/1(-279%) | (2) Sweet Nightingale 250/1, Flat debut, has been NH since 2020; not seen since November 2022; half-sister to Buddy Holly (1-2m AW/turf winner); unlikely to cause much trouble Winning hurdler but at a modest level and she's been absent since late 2022. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Although last of six in a warm Ascot novice on her debut, PRINCESS RASCAL showed plenty and is expected to step forward today. The daughter of Pinatubo looked outpaced approaching the furlong marker and, with stamina on the dam's side, these extra couple of furlongs will suit. Club Class is another that should benefit from a step up in trip, while the market can guide regarding debutant Cloaks Of Gold and the returning Lightning Touch, who hasn't been seen since December 2023.

An interesting race. PRINCESS RASCAL might be the answer after shaping nicely when a market drifter at Ascot.

4/6(+0%) | (1) Yellow Card 4/6, Unlucky not to win on return at Bath; not the clearest run when winning last time; better than those two results; likely contender under a 6lb penalty Not well in under a penalty but he overcame trouble in running to win on the AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/1 -146%)Van Aert |
4/1(-146%) | (2) Van Aert 4/1, Didn't show much on three starts last year; gelded since and won on return after 287 days off despite being green; up 6lbs for that; should have more to offer and is in the mix 6lb rise harsh enough for narrow win on handicap debut but he was well backed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (13/2 +35%)Magic Runner |
13/2(+35%) | (3) Magic Runner 13/2, Went very close on nursery debut in December; a bit short of room when fourth on return; is capable of better Her race over 9.4f last time didn't pan out too favourably; should stay this far. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (13/2 +35%)Top Of Pleinmont |
13/2(+35%) | (4) Top Of Pleinmont 13/2, Ran well last time upped to 12f; up 4lbs; place chance First run beyond 1m when a 4l second to a well-backed winner over this trip on the AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (40/1 -122%)Middelton |
40/1(-122%) | (5) Middelton 40/1, Beaten a long way in three novices so far; up in trip and needs improvement on handicap debut; not really bred for this far Could be seen in a better light off this low a mark but has a good bit to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

VAN AERT was able to justify short-priced favouritism on his handicap bow at Kempton last month. The gelded son of Masar did have a tendency to hang that day though and it is no surprise to see cheekpieces employed for the first time. Returning to turf shouldn't be an issue, and a 6lb rise should be no barrier to further success either. Wolverhampton scorer Yellow Card is a threat, although he might be booked for second. Top Of Pleinmont heads the remainder.

Although 4lb badly in with a penalty, YELLOW CARD (nap) looks a good deal better than the bare form of his Wolverhampton win.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
