14:20 Salisbury (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

AMATHUS has two wins from his four visits here, with the latest of those coming over C&D last month. The eight-year-old was only raised 2lb for that success so while conditions should be in his favour once again, this looks to be another excellent opportunity. My Boy Jack has proven to be a model of consistency recently and is likely to be involved, along with Happy Chandler, who has been inching closer to a maiden triumph since having blinkers applied in June.

My Boy Jack will likely do his thing again but HAPPY CHANDLER is running well in blinkers and can open his account.

14:50 Salisbury (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Eve Johnson Houghton has enjoyed a decent season with her youngsters and VALKYRIE STORM could provide the trainer with further success. The daughter of Saxon Warrior is related to a couple of useful types, perhaps most notably Listed winner Milltown Star, and it would come as no great surprise were she to muster up a big run. Princess Billyboy can be forgiven her latest effort given that a flag start had to be employed, while Box Clever, who arguably sets the form standard, is also noted.

Princess Billyboy can go well but BOX CLEVER sets a solid standard and can get off the mark.

15:25 Salisbury (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

C&D debut winner Aspull wasn't able to carry a penalty to success when third at Leicester next time but it was solid performance nonetheless. He merits plenty of respect back here, but ASIAN JOURNEY is preferred. Brian Meehan's gelding was no match for an impressive winner at Newmarket last month, but is unlikely to face anything of that calibre today and is taken to go one place better. Merapi and Tenbob Tommy are others to consider.

It goes against the grain to suggest one of the older brigade but ASIAN JOURNEY has made a fair start and gets the vote down in trip.

16:00 Salisbury (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

The market suggested RADIANCE could prove above average on her debut and George Boughey's filly duly landed the odds in impressive fashion at Yarmouth. The daughter of Farhh is penalised for that success, but looks hard to oppose based on that performance. Brighlee floundered in the testing ground at Goodwood last time, though had shown ability when second at Kempton before that, while Pintara is preferred of the newcomers.

The vote must go to RADIANCE, who was strongly supported when making a winning debut and could be a bit special.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

FAVORITE MEMORY failed to land a blow in a Listed race on slow ground at Newmarket. However, she had routed the opposition in maiden company at Doncaster before that and the Frankel filly looks worthy of another chance on her handicap debut representing last year's winning yard. Orionis' hat-trick bid ended with a fourth at Ascot, but she was a good way ahead of subsequent Chester scorer Ghaiyya and still has scope for improvement.

William Haggas has won two of the last six renewals with progressive fillies and ORIONIS (nap) fits the bill.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
