Effective at 2m; strong, slightly workmanlike chasing type whose form sets the standard and should be winning soon. Solid second (form has substance) in two races at Newbury for new yard; leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

33/1(-83%) | (4) Night Ride Home 33/1, Green and made mistakes but improved from debut when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Newcastle last time. |F| (2) (6/1 -9%)Fouroneohfever |
6/1(-9%) | (2) Fouroneohfever 6/1, Ran to form when fourth beaten 3l in a handicap at Newbury last time. Useful flat handicapper over middle distances. Returns from a short break and could get involved on hurdle debut. Quite a useful handicapper on Flat for George Boughey; hurdles debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Bumper winner SINNATRA has shown lots of ability in each of his two starts over timber at Newbury, finishing second on both occasions, and he sets the standard with an official rating of 129. If progressing further, Dan Skelton's gelding could prove very hard to beat. Pourquoi Pas Papa shaped with promise on his first appearance in the UK when second over C&D and is likely to have more to offer. Of the remainder, Fouroneohfever makes the most appeal.

The form pick is SINNATRA whose Newbury efforts have substance. Pourquoi Pas Papa gets a hefty age allowance and is feared most.

1st (2) (9/4 -13%)Vanderpoel |
9/4(-13%) | (2) Vanderpoel 9/4, Travelled smoothly and did it comfortably when landing a handicap by 7l off an 8lb lower mark at Ascot last time. Effective from 2m to 2½m and acts on good to soft; stable's horses tend to improve for chasing and this one looks progressive. Scored by 7l at Ascot most recently and looks open to further improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (6/1 +40%)Kotmask |
6/1(+40%) | (4) Kotmask 6/1, Made mistakes and was a bit below form in first-time cheekpieces when comfortably held in a Newbury handicap chase last time. Blinkers are on for the first time; effective from 2m to 2½m on decent ground; now back to a workable mark but in moderate form. Has lacked fluency this term, last time in cheekpieces; now blinkered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (13/8 +19%)Keep Running |
13/8(+19%) | (1) Keep Running 13/8, Went clear comfortably and improved back over fences when landing a handicap by 18l off an 11lb lower mark here last time. Trainer in form, enjoys making it, and is effective at 2m on soft or good to soft ground; a progressive chaser. Front-runner who posted an impressive performance over C&D last time; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (17/2 -13%)Gabriel's Getaway |
17/2(-13%) | (3) Gabriel's Getaway 17/2, Unseated in the Desert Orchid Handicap Chase (Grade 2) at Kempton last time. Effective between 2m and 2¼m on good ground; in form but his mark is creeping up, so worth stepping back up slightly in trip. Consistent in completed starts since wind surgery; also declared 12:27 Wincanton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (5) (9/2 -13%)Siam Park |
9/2(-13%) | (5) Siam Park 9/2, Improved and jumped well when landing a handicap by 4¼l off a 7lb lower mark at Plumpton last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on good or good to soft ground; consistent performer who should go well again. Scored readily at Plumpton, taking chase record to 4-6; improving sort. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

It was an inspired performance from Keep Running when bolting up by 18 lengths over track and trip last time and the eight-year-old has lots in his favour, so he has to be respected. However, an 11lb hike makes life tougher and that might open the door for SIAM PARK. Joe Tizzard's charge regained the winning thread in ready fashion at Plumpton in November, which made it four wins from six chase starts, and he hasn't reached his ceiling yet. Vanderpoel completes the shortlist.

This may set up perfectly for VANDERPOEL who likely has further progress in him to boot. Keep Running is second pick.

1st (8) (17/2 +23%)Range |
17/2(+23%) | (8) Range 17/2, Made mistakes and was outpaced when fourth, beaten 23l, in a handicap hurdle at Exeter latest. Effective at 2 1/2m and acts on heavy and good ground. Longer trip should suit. Fairly treated on chase form but unreliable. Fell in a chase on seasonal debut and didn't really fire when back over hurdles last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (7/2 -75%)Henri The Second |
7/2(-75%) | (4) Henri The Second 7/2, Outpaced and made mistakes but rallied when 25l third in a handicap chase at Doncaster last time. Needed the run and may have found the ground a bit quick. Effective at 2 1/2-3m, suited by cut. Useful handicap hurdler, unexposed over fences. Would probably prefer a stiffer stamina test but runs this track well; enters calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (10/1 +17%)Sonigino |
10/1(+17%) | (3) Sonigino 10/1, Keen, made a bad error and weakened quickly when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Newbury after a long layoff. Effective at 2-2 1/2m and acts on any ground. Form had tailed off before his break. Returned from long absence with disappointing run in November; others are less risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (15/2 -7%)Luttrell Lad |
15/2(-7%) | (5) Luttrell Lad 15/2, Returned to best when dropped in class, winning a handicap by 8 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Exeter last time. Effective at 2-2 1/2m and acts on any going but best on decent ground. A consistent performer. Rewarded persistent ride when staying on strongly to win by over 8l at Exeter in November. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (10/3 +17%)Dominic's Fault |
10/3(+17%) | (9) Dominic's Fault 10/3, Needed the run when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Newbury last time, having been in good form beforehand. Tongue-tie applied for the first time. Effective at 2-2 1/2m and suited by plenty of give. Should come on for that run. Low-mileage 9yo; given wind op after seasonal debut in November; still unexposed over 2m4f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (5/1 +29%)Bourbali |
5/1(+29%) | (6) Bourbali 5/1, Ran to form when beaten 1 1/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Plumpton last time. Enjoys making the running and is effective at 2 1/2m on soft and good ground. Generally consistent and remains fairly treated. Consistent 9yo; ran well in defeat last time and has very good record over C&D; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (50/1 -150%)Secret Trix |
50/1(-150%) | (7) Secret Trix 50/1, Race may have come a bit soon when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Haydock most recent. Prefers 3m and acts on soft and good ground. Recent form has tailed off slightly. On a good mark but was out of form at end of last year and is best at around 3m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (10) (11/2 +21%)Poncho |
11/2(+21%) | (10) Poncho 11/2, Scored by 3l off a 7lb lower mark at Plumpton two starts ago but below form when 11th, beaten 8l off 71, in a higher-grade flat race last time. Usually held up. Effective at 2m and acts on soft, good and all-weather surfaces. In fine form under both codes. Comfortably too good for very progressive rival on latest hurdling start in October. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (11) (18/1 +10%)Lucky One |
18/1(+10%) | (11) Lucky One 18/1, Keen and never in the race when beaten 6l in a handicap hurdle at Ascot last time. Usually held up. Effective at 2 1/2m and suited by cut in the ground. Fairly treated on French form but unreliable. Not beaten far at Ascot last month but 3lb wrong here; others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (80/1 -60%)Stolen Silver |
80/1(-60%) | (2) Stolen Silver 80/1, Needed the run when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham last time. Effective at 3m and acts on soft and good ground. Has been out of form since returning from a layoff. Out of form last season and finished down the field on last month's stable debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Luttrell Lad came through the field late to score by over eight lengths at Exeter last time. Whether that performance can be backed up is another question, though, so it may pay to side with HENRI THE SECOND. The two-time course winner ran below expectations when third at Doncaster in November, but that effort can be forgiven after being reported to be lame post-race. Now dropped to an appealing mark, he looks the one to side with. Poncho isn't ruled out either.

This can go to BOURBALI, who ran a big race in defeat at Plumpton last month and has form-figures of 122 over C&D.

1st (4) (5/2 +50%)Triple Trade |
5/2(+50%) | (4) Triple Trade 5/2, Scored by a neck off a 5lb lower mark at Cheltenham on his penultimate start; ran to form and did best of those coming from off the pace when third, beaten 10l off 128 last time; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m; back in form and still well treated on old efforts. Remains in form and is still well treated on historical data; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (15/8 +17%)Jet Plane |
15/8(+17%) | (1) Jet Plane 15/8, Returned to best down in class when landing a handicap by 9 1/2l off a 7lb lower mark at Leicester last time; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and arrives in form but mark demands more. Scored comfortably at Leicester most recently and warrants respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (12/1 -41%)Minella Trump |
12/1(-41%) | (6) Minella Trump 12/1, Returned to form appreciating the good ground and stiff track when dropped in trip to win a hunter chase at Carlisle by 2l last time; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and suited by a sound surface; well handicapped on hunter form but may just need this run. Seems past his best, notwithstanding a hunter chase win on last appearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (7/4 +42%)Can You Call |
7/4(+42%) | (5) Can You Call 7/4, Travelled strongly and did it readily when landing a Veterans' Handicap Chase by 7 1/2l off a 10lb lower mark at Cheltenham last time; effective at 2 1/2m and suited by good to soft ground; back in form and remains well treated on old efforts. Regained the winning thread in similar event at Cheltenham last time; big player. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Jet Plane looked better than ever when carrying top weight to victory at Leicester and a 7lb rise may not prevent another bold bid. However, CAN YOU CALL is weighted to beat the former on their form here in 2024 and arrives fresh from an impressive win at Cheltenham. Evan Williams' charge could prove too strong on this occasion and gets the vote. Triple Trade would prefer softer going, but Minella Trump could shape well on his reappearance.

Having bagged one of these qualifiers in emphatic style last time, CAN YOU CALL may well follow up. Jet Plane is second pick.

11/4(-10%) | (3) Nurse Susan 11/4, Won this race in 2023 and returned to form off a reduced mark when landing a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham by 3l last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, best around 2 1/2m; back in form and may still have more to give after earlier issues. Bounced back to form with Cheltenham win last time; one of the main players. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (9/5 -31%)Jubilee Alpha |
9/5(-31%) | (1) Jubilee Alpha 9/5, Made mistakes but travelled well before flattening out, running to form when beaten 8l in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham last time. Had been in good form beforehand; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on soft and good ground; consistent performer. Generally progressive; has form figures of 311 at Listed level; leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (5/1 +9%)That'll Do Moss |
5/1(+9%) | (6) That'll Do Moss 5/1, Made mistakes and needed the run when fourth, beaten 16l in a Listed Mares' Hurdle at Kempton last time. Effective over 2 1/2m and best with cut in the ground; expected to improve from that reappearance effort. Good second in Grade 2 over C&D and Grade 1 at Fairyhouse last term; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (3/1 +60%)Sunset Marquesa |
3/1(+60%) | (5) Sunset Marquesa 3/1, Readily went clear and improved back on easier ground, coping best with conditions when winning a handicap hurdle here by 6 1/2l last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on any going and looks progressive with the step up in trip. Scored easily in C&D handicap last time and looks open to further improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (66/1 -65%)Good Look Charm |
66/1(-65%) | (2) Good Look Charm 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Ascot last time; visor applied for the first time. Effective around 2 1/2m and suited by soft ground, but looks in need of a further drop in the handicap and vulnerable in this class. Gained her last win over C&D but has the worst chance at the weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (9/1 +50%)Shantwopointfive |
9/1(+50%) | (4) Shantwopointfive 9/1, Outpaced but back to form when second, beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap hurdle here last time. Trainer in form; effective around 2 1/2m and current mark looks about right. Work to do to reverse form with re-opposing rival. Looks held by Sunset Marquesa on C&D running last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Nurse Susan landed a handicap at Cheltenham in good style last month with Jubilee Alpha back in fifth. The latter reopposes on more favourable terms and Paul Nicholls' charge could well turn the tables, but THAT'LL DO MOSS also makes plenty of appeal. The daughter of Black Sam Bellamy will be sharper for her comeback run at Kempton and, given she was narrowly beaten in a Grade 2 contest over C&D last term, she looks worthy of another chance.

Jubilee Alpha and Nurse Susan are key players, while THAT'LL DO MOSS and Sunset Marquesa are interesting contenders.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (5/1 -43%)Le Milos |
5/1(-43%) | (1) Le Milos 5/1, Outpaced and unsuited by the drop in trip when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Cheltenham last time. Trainer in form and effective over 3m, though his mark now looks high enough. Bagged a couple of veterans' events last year, including off current mark; good chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (11/1 +8%)Gabbys Cross |
11/1(+8%) | (8) Gabbys Cross 11/1, Needed the run when fourth, beaten 82l, in a handicap chase at Warwick latest. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m; ex-Irish runner who looks interesting off a reduced mark for his new yard. Possibly needed latest run (stable debut); well treated on best Irish form. |

4th (2) (11/2 -57%)Gustavian |
11/2(-57%) | (2) Gustavian 11/2, Won the Badger Beers Handicap Chase by 9 1/2l off an 8lb lower mark at Wincanton last time. Back from a short break; effective at 3m and suited by decent ground. Poor strike rate but may remain fairly treated on best form. Made all in notable handicap at Wincanton in sole start this term; commands respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (16/1 +36%)Blackjack Magic |
16/1(+36%) | (5) Blackjack Magic 16/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Exeter last time when returning from a long layoff. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and handles any ground, though was out of form when last seen. Needs a marked turnaround, having posted form figures of PPP last term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (11/1 +21%)Digby |
11/1(+21%) | (9) Digby 11/1, Outpaced and below form when fourth, beaten 31l, in a handicap chase at Haydock latest. Effective over 3m with good ground key but looks on a stiff mark. Irish jumper; last of four finishers returned to fences most recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (5/1 +33%)Credo |
5/1(+33%) | (7) Credo 5/1, Made mistakes and was poorly placed but did best of those held up when fourth, beaten 17l, in a handicap chase at Ascot latest. Effective over 3m+ and handles any ground. Consistent performer. Has a record of 2-4 in visor and looks interesting with the headgear reapplied. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (6) (10/1 -25%)Annsam |
10/1(-25%) | (6) Annsam 10/1, Returned to form down in grade off a reduced mark, back at the scene of his last win, when scoring by 9 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark at Ludlow last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (4) (12/1 -20%)Copperhead |
12/1(-20%) | (4) Copperhead 12/1, Outpaced and unsuited by the drop in trip, needing the run when well beaten in a handicap chase at Cheltenham latest. Effective over 3m on good to soft or good ground. A veteran who enjoyed a productive spell last term and could bounce back. Successful off this mark in this race 12 months ago when it was moved to Market Rasen. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

GUSTAVIAN displayed the benefit of a break/wind procedure when making all in the Badger Beers at Wincanton in November. An 8lb higher mark looks surmountable given the manner of that victory and Anthony Honeyball's charge is fancied to follow up. Le Milos hasn't cut much ice in three outings since returning in October, but he cannot be dismissed off his last winning mark, while Warwick winner Nocte Volatus is also noted.

Warwick winner NOCTE VOLATUS (nap) holds particularly strong claims. Gustavian is second pick ahead of Credo.

3/1(+10%) | (6) Dance And Glance 3/1, Ran to form benefiting from a drop in class when winning a handicap by a head off a 4lb lower mark at Ascot last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (17/2 -13%)Continuance |
17/2(-13%) | (3) Continuance 17/2, Keen but rallied gamely and ran to form when beaten 1/2l off a 3lb lower mark at Cheltenham last time. Effective around 2m and acts on good to soft or good; back in form and may be better suited by a flatter track. Good second at Sandown (behind Nardaran) and Cheltenham the last twice; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (5/2 +50%)Hot Fuss |
5/2(+50%) | (2) Hot Fuss 5/2, Ran to form when beaten 3l off a 2lb lower mark at Ascot last time in a race dominated from the front. Effective over 2m and that latest form reads well. Still mileage in mark on flat form. Good second in notable handicap at Ascot most recently; major player back down in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (33/1 -371%)Brace For Landing |
33/1(-371%) | (7) Brace For Landing 33/1, May have found the ground a bit quick when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Newcastle last time. Cheekpieces on for the first time; effective at 2m2f and acts with cut; showed promise in France but yet to fire for this yard. Skelton runner who remains open to improvement and is interesting back down in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (11/1 -29%)Nardaran |
11/1(-29%) | (1) Nardaran 11/1, Won by 2 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark here on his penultimate start before being pulled up in a handicap hurdle when something was amiss. Effective at 2m and handles good to soft or good to firm; progressive until that latest effort. Something possibly amiss last time; progressive sort otherwise and has won over C&D. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (14/1 -27%)He's A Latchico |
14/1(-27%) | (8) He's A Latchico 14/1, Won by 2l off a 6lb lower mark at Leicester on his penultimate start and ran to form when fifth, beaten 2 1/4l off 114 last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (22/1 -144%)Imaginarium |
22/1(-144%) | (4) Imaginarium 22/1, Improved on recent form back on slightly easier ground when landing a handicap by 2l off a 7lb lower mark at Perth last time. Returning from a long layoff; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft; inconsistent but latest win has worked out well. Absent since last April but has won when fresh; 3-6 over hurdles and may progress further. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

IMAGINARIUM put his pulled-up effort at Exeter behind him when ending last season with a triumph at Perth. A revised rating of 122 looks workable given his Flat ability and he's fancied to make a winning return. Continuance arrives on the back of a close second at Cheltenham and must also enter the reckoning, although a bigger threat may emerge from Hot Fuss, who finished second in a premier handicap at Ascot a fortnight ago.

Most of the runners can be viewed positively. The percentage call goes to HOT FUSS, ahead of Brace For Landing.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK.
