13:23 Sedgefield (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FOLLOW YOUR LUCK was snapped up for 90,000 euros after winning between the flags in Ireland last spring and picked up where he left off on his hurdling debut over C&D. He gave a stone and a comprehensive beating to a horse rated 113 so he looks a nice prospect. Dunkerque made an OK start to life with Jennie Candlish when fifth in a Carlisle handicap and is likely to get closest to Patrick Neville's five-year-old. Fearless Dragon was a long way behind his stablemate here earlier in the month, but is still put forward as best of the rest.

Point winner FOLLOW YOUR LUCK scored by 5l over C&D recently and is taken to make it 2-2 under rules. Dunkerque is the danger.

13:58 Sedgefield (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

DOUBLE DIGITS had plenty in hand when winning easily over C&D a couple of weeks ago and a 7lb rise is unlikely to prevent him from following up in a race of this nature. The rest all have questions to answer, but Glen Road has already won twice this season and should not be discounted. Coup De Coeur is also noted.

The lightly raced 8yo DOUBLE DIGITS won in fine style over C&D recently on his second chase start and is taken to defy a 7lb rise.

14:33 Sedgefield (Class 4) 27f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A winner over fences two starts ago, Forged Well has to be noted now switched to hurdles, while Dwight K Schrute has been running well in defeat. That said, it is hard to oppose BALLIN BAY, who made all over C&D a couple of weeks ago and is only 3lb higher. First-time cheekpieces may spark further improvement and the eight-year-old can make it a double.

These conditions are ideal for SPIKE JONES, who is taken to get back to winning ways by beating Dwite K Schrute and Ballin Bay.

15:08 Sedgefield (Class 5) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DEFENCE WITNESS returned to winning ways at Catterick when staying on strongly in the closing stages and a 4lb rise is unlikely to inconvenience him, especially in a contest where all of his rivals have something to prove. Getaway Glory was well behind the selection on that occasion, but finished second over C&D before an extended break and a repeat of that would see him in the mix. Ballydangan completes the shortlist.

Last month's Catterick winner DEFENCE WITNESS is taken to confirm that form with Getaway Glory, who should improve for that run.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MERSEY STREET got off the mark over fences when striking here earlier in the month. Despite a 6lb rise, the manner of that performance suggested there might well be more to come from the eight-year-old. Too Cool Forshrule was sent off favourite in the aforementioned contest, only to unseat at the first, and he is respected with Brian Hughes taking over in the saddle. Halpha Soleil heads the remainder.

This can go to MERSEY STREET, who won in good style here last time. Halpha Soleil and Uncle Al should also go well.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
