1st (5) (1/1 +17%)Mount Sinai |
1/1(+17%) | (5) Mount Sinai 1/1, All but fell mid race, needed run down the field in a beginners chase chase over 2m4f at Tipperary most recent; needs easier ground ideally but has class edge and the clear form pick Hasn't looked like adding to her 2023 maiden win, big chance if runs to her rating of 116. |

2nd (1) (8/1 -129%)Oh So Charming |
8/1(-129%) | (1) Oh So Charming 8/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Kilbeggan latest; successful on good ground on previous hurdles run; not ruled out Below best since June win, pulled up on latest, needs to rebound on first run in a claimer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/2 +27%)Must Meet Cecil |
11/2(+27%) | (2) Must Meet Cecil 11/2, Made too much use of down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Galway most recent; prolific at this level; not dismissed Won this race in 2023, three of last four wins in claimers, dangerous to dismiss. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (3/1 +54%)Angelsworknovrtime |
3/1(+54%) | (4) Angelsworknovrtime 3/1, Short of room late at key stage, ran to form beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Kilbeggan last time; trainer in form; each way shout Sole win in July 2024, decent h'cap run here on penultimate, place chance in first claimer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (9/1 -50%)Ovidstown Hill |
9/1(-50%) | (3) Ovidstown Hill 9/1, Fourth beaten 14l in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f here latest; from top yard but difficult to fancy Lightly raced sort, showed a bit more over C&D on latest, Kennedy up, could go well. |

MOUNT SINAI is expected to bounce back on her first try in these calmer waters. The grey mare has somewhat lost her way on her last couple of starts in beginners chases. However, her chasing debut at this venue was encouraging and a return to that kind of form should see her prove successful here. A previous winner of this race in 2023, Must Meet Cecil provides a solid option, especially in this grade where he has recorded most of his victories. The seven-year-old gelding has recently moved back to Cian Collins' and his last run, in a competitive Galway handicap, can be forgiven. Oh So Charming completes the shortlist.

A chance is taken on OVIDSTOWN HILL who ran his best race to date in a maiden hurdle over this C&D last time out

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (4/1 +27%)Whispering Hopes |
4/1(+27%) | (6) Whispering Hopes 4/1, Below par beaten 4l in a handicap over 1m6f at Bellewstown last time; generally out of form; needs to get back to level of autumn form to figure Rated 101, fell two out when leading on last hurdles start, chance with a clear round. |

25/1(+0%) | (5) Shoot The Crows 25/1, Pulled up in a maiden over 3m at Inchydoney latest; off a long absence; all to do on rules debut Wings Of Eagles mare, pulled up in sole point over a year ago, best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (20/1 +20%)Doyentoseeyou |
20/1(+20%) | (8) Doyentoseeyou 20/1, Doyen filly; dam poor at 9f; yard in decent form but looks tough enough task on debut Doyen filly, dam well beaten sole start on the Flat, watch unless market speaks. |

EYE OF A TIGER looks to break her duck at the fourth attempt after three solid placed efforts. John Ryan's charge arguably went for home too soon on her last start at Kilbeggan and just got swallowed up after the last, but this forward-going daughter of Lauro has plenty of speed which should suit this track along with the more sympathetic straight. Doyentoseeyou is one to watch on debut and any market moves beforehand would be of interest, while Whispering Hopes appears best of the remainder.

This looks a gilt-edged opportunity for EYE OF A TIGER to get off the mark at the fourth attempt

8/1(-129%) | (2) Claude 8/1, Yard has won 2 of last 10 runnings of race; game when winning a maiden hurdle at Wexford over 2m1f by 3l last time; steadily progressive; top course trainer; not out of it with improvement likely Built on promise in bumpers before Wexford maiden hurdle win; needs more but shortlisted. |

4th (3) (11/4 +31%)Spy |
11/4(+31%) | (3) Spy 11/4, Improved on recent efforts benefitting from pace collapse second beaten a neck in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Ballinrobe latest; frustrating but thereabouts if bringing best 0-10 over timber but only narrowly denied latest; 2nd on previous course visit. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (9/4 +36%)Spick And Span |
9/4(+36%) | (7) Spick And Span 9/4, Well backed when winning a maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe over 2m1f by 4l last time; steadily progressive; threat up in grade 2nd on first 2 starts for this yard; off the mark at 20th attempt latest; clearly thriving. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (9/1 -20%)Huntsgrove |
9/1(-20%) | (4) Huntsgrove 9/1, Yard won this last year; outpaced, ran to form over sharp enough trip 2l third in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Ballinrobe most recent run; steadily progressive; ideally wants 2m4f; danger if getting stiff test Off the mark over 2m4f here in May; best run since when 3rd latest, 2l behind Spy. |

Gordon Elliott appears to have found an ideal opportunity for the consistent CHORTAL to get his head in front again. The Golden Horn gelding chased home the exciting Davy Crockett at Galway and looks to avail of both the four-year-old allowance and Finn Brickley's 7lb claim. Spick And Span finally broke her duck at the 20th attempt and the well-bred daughter of Walk In The Park could kick on from that success. Huntsgrove and Spy renew rivalries after a recent close finish at Ballinrobe and the former may be able to reverse placings, especially if he can improve his jumping.

A few of these are going in the right direction including SPICK AND SPAN who is taken to back up a career best last month

14th (3) (16/1 -45%)Colorado Charlie |
16/1(-45%) | (3) Colorado Charlie 16/1, Below par fourth beaten 7 1/4l in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Wexford latest; off a short-break; yet to build on promising debut; risky Encouraging debut but shown very little in 4 runs since; needs career best on h'cap debut. |

CHANCER DANCER aims to build on her latest impressive success and double her overall career tally. Noel Kelly's charge scored by eight and a half lengths, beating a subsequent winner comprehensively, and she may well have more to offer. Torquay Road can continue his consistent string of efforts. The form of his last two starts are working out well as he has finished near recent Galway winner Jerrari. Michael McNiff's runners are always of interest at this venue and his duo of Colorado Charlie and Moulane West certainly catch the eye, with the former just marginally preferred. An eye must also be kept on the market regarding Eastmore.

C&D winner TORQUAY ROAD looks worth chancing having shaped like a return to form could be imminent in recent starts

|PU| (5) (66/1 +0%)Wild Ridge |
66/1(+0%) | (5) Wild Ridge 66/1, Well beaten in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Navan only start where went off big price; absent for very lengthy period; all to do Didn't jump well when tailed off on debut at 200-1 and he's been off 691 days since. |

VROOMVROOMBOO wasn't beaten far when third in a competitive mares' handicap at Cork most recently and looks the one to be with as she drops back into maiden company. Lord Ffrench also commands respect on just his second start over hurdles, while Luck Between Us is another potential improver that could build on last month's debut run at Roscommon.

This may not take much winning and RED OR WHITE makes most appeal after a couple of promising runs; he may improve for further now

2nd (1) (12/1 -20%)Grange Walk |
12/1(-20%) | (1) Grange Walk 12/1, Yard has won 2 of last 10 runnings of race; outpaced, long way below form comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Punchestown last time; well treated on old form; winner on last hurdles start; usually held up; off a short-break; in the mix Won over fences here; head back in front over timber in April; struggled in chases since. |

3rd (7) (9/2 +25%)Brave Soldier |
9/2(+25%) | (7) Brave Soldier 9/2, Hampered, travelled, improved again just flattening out late up in trip fourth beaten 4 1/4l in a novice hurdle over 2m2f at Downpatrick latest; steadily progressive; off a short-break; contender if stamina holds up Less exposed than most of these and steady progress in h'caps before novice hurdle 4th. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (11/2 +45%)Great Ocean |
11/2(+45%) | (3) Great Ocean 11/2, Below form up in grade, needed run down the field in a handicap chase at Cartmel most recent; inconsistent but well treated on best UK form; top jockey back on board; outside chance Chase win here on yard debut; tailed off on return at Cartmel but lower hurdle mark. |

Emily In Paris won this in 2023 and is back after failing to get home over further here last month. She can go well, but the vote goes to GREAT OCEAN. A winner over fences last October but well beaten in June, the switch to hurdles off 17lb lower looks a shrewd move. Boston Rajj is hard to ignore but has a career-high mark to contend with.

In a bid for a C&D hat-trick, CORNMARKET (nap) looks like the one with just an 8lb rise for a dominant course success latest

Expresso Tini upped her game when finishing second at Wexford last month and any further improvement is likely to see her involved once more. However, SHADOWS OF MY MIND filled the same spot on her debut at Tipperary last October and she could prove tough to topple on her stable bow for Willie Mullins. The up-in-distance Barra Rua may fare best of the remainder.

With likely improvement now starting out for Willie Mullins, the five-year-old mare SHADOWS OF MIND looks like the one to beat
