Some decent runs for new yard but was poor at Listowel last time and this chasing debut.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

After a creditable sixth in the Galway Hurdle, JALILA MORIVIERE was a little below-par when a beaten odds-on favourite at Listowel and now has her attentions turned to chasing. This can be a tricky track for a first-timer over fences but a decent round of jumping will make her hard to beat. True Testimony would prefer further but went close in a decent handicap in April and her new trainer does well with recruits to his yard. Costanuci is noted too.

Ian Donoghue is adept at getting the best out of recruits from other yards so a chance is taken on him doing that with TRUE TESTIMONY.

ADDRAGOOLE has run well in his first two chase outings and bumped into a classy winner when second at Galway. He finished in front of some useful types that day and Keith Donoghue's mount can strike here. Jet Setting Jim was handed a mark of 130 after finishing second at Tipperary in July but his jumping is still a work in progress and let him down last time. Chasing debutant Sporting Glory has a good record when fresh and readily beat the selection over hurdles last year.

Having bumped into a smart winner at Galway last time, ADDRAGOOLE (nap) doesn't face anything of that calibre today

A winner over 2m4f at Limerick in May, CLONSHIRE RIVER was runner-up on his last two starts over that same trip at Kilbeggan. He usually races handily and dropping back in distance is unlikely to be too much of an issue. In The Trenches has been expensive to follow but was only narrowly beaten on his last start over fences and has run well off a break before. A dual winner over 2m5f at Thurles in March, Spinning Web can also get competitive.

METAMORPHEUS was going well when falling two out on his chase debut at Downpatrick and might get his head in front with a clear round

FREMANTLE DOCTOR was a promising second on chase debut at Roscommon last year and a repeat of that form would give him every chance in an ordinary contest. He ran well over hurdles at Bellewstown in April and a recent outing at Navan should have teed him up nicely for this return to fences. Point-to-point winner Quarry Tiepy showed ordinary form over hurdles but was a fair third on chase debut at Downpatrick. Consistent hurdler Hatfield Hammer should be better for his run in a handicap on chase debut at Wexford.

Though disappointing over hurdles, QUARRY TIEPY shaped much better on chasing debut at Downpatrick and can take this.

Runner-up three times over hurdles last year, THE STRIKER DYLAN again found only one too good on his chase debut in a Wexford handicap in August. Liam Cusack's runner was touched off by a much more experienced rival on that occasion and this longer trip can play to his strengths. Likable Chancer is exposed but has to enter calculations after a battling success at Tramore. Course hurdle winners Cornmarket and Sydney Cruiser both merit respect too.

Just denied at Wexford on chasing debut, THE STRIKER DYLAN should be able to improve enough from that to score today.

This is a good opportunity for JESSE EVANS, who has had a nice break since his excellent second in the Galway Plate. Noel Meade's runner was a Grade 3 winner over hurdles the time before and is well treated at these weights. He should be hard to beat if anywhere near his best. A Penny A Hundred had some useful novice form in the spring and was a fair third to the subsequent Galway Plate winner when last seen in May. Fascile Mode is another to bear in mind.

This looks a golden opportunity for JESSE EVANS to get back to winning ways after a fine run in the Galway Plate

BALLAGH STAR won this last year off the same rating and comes here on the back of two solid placed efforts. He had a hard race in testing conditions when second at Ballinrobe but, if that hasn't left a mark, he looks the one to beat and the ground should be better here. Top-weight Broken Ice likes this track and has been running well over hurdles. He can contend on his first chase start since April. He Fitz In completes the shortlist.

Winner of this race in 2024, BALLAGH STAR has been in decent form recently and is off the same mark as last year so can win again.
