25/1(-39%) | (10) Pyrrhic Dancer 25/1, Again below best beaten 4l in a classified race at Lingfield last time; suited by 8-10f, best form largely on AW; form in and out since layoff. Long time since he went this far; yard dry for a while; others hold more pressing claims. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ROSCO ROGERS has been knocking on the door in recent outings and the change of headgear from cheekpieces to a first-time visor gives the four-year-old every chance to gain a first career success. Beaune caused a surprise when scoring at Lingfield on his latest start but there didn't appear to be a fluke about that effort and he can enter the reckoning off 4lb higher. Storm Asset and Newfire appeal most of the remainder.

The vote goes to BEAUNE, who hasn't had many starts over this trip and who made a successful comeback off 4lb lower recently.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (11/1 +21%)Bobby Joe Leg |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (33/1 +18%)Mereside Madness |
33/1(+18%) | (6) Mereside Madness 33/1, Yard has won last two runnings of race; again below form tried in tongue-tie beaten 7l in a handicap here last time; suited by 7f and a sound surface; poor of late. May have needed it on recent stable debut; becoming attractively weighted. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ALBERT CEE won here over 6f in January before running creditably twice since at Wolverhampton. The manner of his latest run suggested the return to 7f would benefit him and this doesn't appear to be a particularly strong contest on paper. Camera Shy wasn't disgraced when fourth over C&D last time and is likely to enter calculations along with Qazaq.

Anthropologist and QAZAQ both ran good races over C&D last month and the selection looks well handicapped now.

Two Brighton wins last year; ended 2025 quietly; four-month break may have revived her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (40/1 -60%)Opal Storm |
40/1(-60%) | (10) Opal Storm 40/1, Again below form, not best of runs beaten 6l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; off a short-break; effective 5/6f, acts on soft, good to firm and AW; below last winning mark. Capable at this level but unplaced all five AW runs and would be more appealing at 5f too. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PINJARRA returned to winning ways at Chelmsford on his latest outing and the five-year-old, who scored here in October, makes plenty of appeal after a 4lb rise from the handicapper. Bullington Bry has been in consistent form in recent months and another solid effort appears likely. Man On A Mission and Mount Ruapehu are others capable of being in the mix.

A competitive race but ASPIRE TO GLORY had a good year in 2025 and the drop in trip could suit now starting out for a new stable.

150/1(-355%) | (4) Iflookscouldkill 150/1, Never in it from off the pace dropped in trip beaten 9 1/2l in a classified race here last time; usually held up; bred to get 8f+; yet to show anything. Poor form in her four starts, including at this level last month; up in trip today. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FIFTY SENT returned to classified company over C&D last time and had little trouble disposing of the opposition. A similar effort would make Thomas Faulkner's charge hard to beat and he's taken to go in again. Woodrafff arrives in fine fettle and can make his presence felt, while Dash Power is usually in the mix in this grade and Billy Loughnane's presence takes the eye.

A few possibles but WOODRAFFF has been performing well at this level in recent starts and gets the nod ahead of Dash Power.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

PENNY TIME was sent off favourite at Kempton on debut and duly passed the post in first. Subsequently disqualified after his jockey weighed in light, that shouldn't detract from a highly-promising display and he looks one to keep on the right side of with James Doyle taking over the reins. Menzies returned the convincing winner upped to a mile at Kempton last month, while the returning See Blue scored at the same track last autumn and is another with untapped potential.

Penny Time is greatly respected but SEE BLUE looked most promising when winning at Kempton. He can defy his penalty.

(2) (20/1 -135%)Wahraan |
20/1(-135%) | (2) Wahraan 20/1, Outclassed when comfortably held in Rossington Main Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) at Haydock last time; usually held up; off a short-break; effective 14-18f on Flat; bit to prove. Faced some stiff tasks for current yard, Flat and over hurdles; not a solid option. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (22/1 +12%)Fleurman |
22/1(+12%) | (6) Fleurman 22/1, Small step back in right direction well beaten in a handicap here latest; effective 14-16f, acts on soft and AW; unreliable. One good run for this yard last month but he looks to be on the downgrade; risky. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ARTISAN DANCER was not disgraced in a much stronger race than this at Kempton last time and that followed a victory at Wolverhampton the time before. A reproduction of either of those efforts would give the six-year-old a big chance here. Don Simon showed a bit more when third last time and he could prove to be the main threat, ahead of Tarbat Ness.

Tarbat Ness and Don Simon are considered but this looks a good opportunity for ARTISAN DANCER to add to his seven wins.

11/1(+39%) | (4) Reigning Profit 11/1, Again below form beaten 5l in a handicap at Pontefract last time; returning from a break; effective 5f, acts on any; below last winning mark. On a competitive mark but absent 145 days and all nine wins have come in headgear. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Master Of My Fate beat SPORTS COACH into second when he scored over C&D a few weeks ago. However, the latter is 3lb better off for half a length and it would be no surprise to see him reverse the form. Ay Gee Ell has been running well in defeat of late and is likely to be in the mix once again.

A revival from The Bell Conductor would be no surprise but MASTER OF MY FATE (nap) also goes well here and is a safer option.
Ths is the racecard key.
