The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Bold Return outran her odds of 40/1 when hitting the woodwork on handicap debut at Beverley last August and is of interest on her return. However, ENTER SANDMAN finished a close third when sporting first-time cheekpieces (retained) at Newcastle earlier in the month and can take advantage of an unchanged mark with Billy Loughnane booked. C&D winner Life After Love is another to keep a close eye on.

Although only third last time, ENTER SANDMAN shaped with plenty of promise. Mademoiselle Belle heads the list of dangers.

Chased home St Faz latest; hard to see a turnaround but still one of the more likely ones. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Unbeaten in both starts since joining the Adrian Keatley yard, it's hard to oppose ST FAZ. The six-year-old comfortably beat Prince Quattro over 2m at Lingfield to supplement his C&D success earlier in the month and is very much the one to beat. Appier hasn't finished outside of the first three home in each of his last five outings and should remain competitive, while Green Team needs to bounce back to form if he wants to feature.

Unbeaten for his yard and on a hat-trick, it's hard to oppose ST FAZ, who effectively runs off a lower mark than when scoring last time.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (300/1 -355%)Miss Helena |
300/1(-355%) | (7) Miss Helena 300/1, Continued in poor form in first time blinkers when fourth beaten 8l in a classified race at Newcastle latest; poor performer in both codes. Modest form in a variety of events and headgear to date; still fairly early days. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BROTHER DAVE was far from disgraced in third off a mark of 51 in handicap company at this course on his most recent start and has James Sullivan back in the plate. Ruth Carr's gelding was successful the last time he contested a classified stakes race in January and looks the one to beat. Chourmo takes a drop in trip after making the frame at Wolverhampton and needs to be considered. Sold Out is the pick of the remainder.

Most of these have some sort of case to be made for them but it's CHOURMO who gets the nod ahead of Sir Maxi.

200/1(-300%) | (8) My Dad Frank 200/1, Improved a little from debut up in trip comfortably held in a novice here last time; probably wants middle-distances; looks limited but likeable. Modest form on both starts and he would be a surprise winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (80/1 -186%)Silver Splash |
80/1(-186%) | (3) Silver Splash 80/1, Fair effort on debut 4l fourth in a maiden at Chelmsford first-time out; top course trainer; effective 6f, acts on AW; small, but should improve. Only beaten 3l on debut (6f; 40-1); dam won G2s on dirt at 1m; possible improver. |

250/1(-150%) | (11) Ghadra 250/1, Off a break but outclassed well beaten in a maiden here latest; lot to prove including stamina. 125-1 and last of seven on stable debut here (5f) a fortnight ago. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CREST OF FIRE achieved a decent level of form last season and ended the campaign with a narrow defeat to Mcmurray, who had finished further ahead the time before in a Ffos Las maiden, in a competitive nursery at Doncaster's St Leger meeting. That rival scored again on his next start, so the form reads well and it would be disappointing if he were unable to get off the mark at this level. Powder Monkey looks the obvious threat based on his second at Wolverhampton, while better is expected from King Of Berkshire.

Crest Of Fire sets the standard but time may tell POWDER MONKEY was facing mission impossible on his debut and he gets the vote.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (33/1 +0%)Sirhana |
33/1(+0%) | (10) Sirhana 33/1, Very poor run down the field in a handicap at Newcastle most recent; seems effective 6/7f, sound surfaces will suit action; quite small and light-framed, has it all to prove. Undistinguished effort when last at Newcastle (also 7f, Tapeta; 40-1) three weeks ago. |

11th (7) (80/1 -142%)Serragasso |
80/1(-142%) | (7) Serragasso 80/1, Better effort down in trip though well beaten when fourth beaten 9 1/4l in a novice at Chelmsford latest; should be suited by 1m; still plenty to prove. Appeared to step forward when 200-1 fourth latest; h'cap debut and may be more to come. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (50/1 -100%)Forceful Lady |
50/1(-100%) | (12) Forceful Lady 50/1, Made too much use of but poor run well beaten in a handicap at Wolverhampton latest; off a short-break; seems effective 6f and 7f, acts on AW; on a competitive mark but form has deteriorated. Unconvincing but November's second (7f, Tapeta) gives her a squeak off this reduced mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The application of cheekpieces made a huge difference to FICKLE MCSELFISH when running out a comfortable winner at Newcastle last week. Despite a 6lb penalty, he could prove a tough nut to crack if the headgear has the same effect. Maximum Velocity commands plenty of respect following his third on his handicap debut at Newcastle earlier in the month. Others to note are Popty Ping and Serragasso.

A good handful to consider but the vote goes to MAXIMUM VELOCITY (nap), who ran well on his return this month and can build on that.

85/40(+47%) | (3) Start Me Up 85/40, Continued in moderate form beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap at Meydan last time; effective 6-7f, acts on sound surface; mark demands more. Ran well over C&D last October; modest form in Dubai this winter; this should be easier. |

6th (1) (5/1 -43%)Numero Vingt |
5/1(-43%) | (1) Numero Vingt 5/1, Improved again to defy penalty when winning a novice at Lingfield by a head last time; that form franked; effective 6f, 7f or stiffer track may suit, acts on AW, give will suit action; typically good attitude of sire's progeny, bit to come. 2-2 on AW this year and latest Lingfield win has been franked; should have more to come. |

7th (7) (33/1 -83%)Horwich |
33/1(-83%) | (7) Horwich 33/1, Far too free and hung under pressure beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap here last time; effective 7f, acts on AW; looking flattered by novice win. Pulled hard when down the field on his recent stable debut here (7f); bounce back needed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Wyle Cop made a successful return to action at Wolverhampton at the start of the month and is considered back in handicap company, but NUMERO VINGT makes more appeal. Archie Watson's charge hasn't looked back since being gelded, winning two on the bounce, and a mark of 80 is workable. This also represents Riley Rocks' first appearance in a handicap and he isn't ruled out either.

Numero Vingt looks set for another big run but the form of RILEY ROCKS's Newcastle win has been franked and he is preferred.

(8) (25/1 -79%)Dragon God |
25/1(-79%) | (8) Dragon God 25/1, Bit too free down in trip and flattened out late beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Kempton last time; effective 7/8f, acts on good to soft, AW; must bounce back. Ran okay on stable debut 24 days ago but he may need a bit more help from the handicapper. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Insuspense has found one too good in each of her last four starts and is bidding for a first career victory, but ROCK OF ENGLAND might make her wait longer. Paul Midgley's gelding made the frame over 5f at Newcastle in October and competes off the same mark on his return. If reproducing that level of form, he could be the one to beat. Good Earth completes the shortlist.

Plenty of possibles but TRAVEL AGENT was a ready winner of his only start at Class 6 level and he can make a winning stable debut.
Ths is the racecard key.
