16:55 Southwell (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

After a successful switch to handicap company at Wolverhampton, GALILEO CHARM has plenty to offer and a 3lb rise may not prevent the Marco Botti-trained filly from following up. Pickersgill outran expectations to finish second at the same venue most recently and she would be dangerous to underestimate. Jamie Sommers is a pace angle to the race and support in the betting would be noteworthy now she has a recent run under her belt.

Iain Jardine's ex-Irish winner PICKERSGILL is taken to build on a resurgent Wolverhampton second and get off the mark for her new yard

17:30 Southwell (Class 5) 4f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Brazilian Belle scored cosily over C&D on her penultimate start and was game when following up at Wolverhampton last month. However, BINADHAM was only half a length away in third on the latter occasion and armed with a 2lb pull, he can reverse the form if the first-time cheekpieces draw a little extra. Blue Lakota is another previous course winner that can go close, while Smooth Silesie and the returning Tees Aggregates shouldn't be taken lightly.

Likeable mare SMOOTH SILESIE should strip a lot sharper for her reappearance Wolverhampton sixth after an absence and she edges the vote

18:00 Southwell (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Ollie Sangster's yard are in decent form at present and DEPORTED appeals as another stable contender to seriously consider. Although he was turned over as the 8/11 favourite on his most recent appearance, it's worth considering that the winner of that race is an unbeaten outsider for the 1000 Guineas, while the runner-up came out and won his next two starts. Based on potential, the son of Territories shades preference over last-time-out winners Captain Fox, Sovereign View and Gatehouse. The latter could be the biggest danger on his handicap debut.

The answer might be DELINQUENT, who caught the eye making late headway over 7f here on his recent seasonal/handicap debut.

18:30 Southwell (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

REAL JACK took a big step forward when filling the runner-up spot over 5f at Newcastle when last seen in November, but he ought to be even better over this extra furlong. An opening mark of 70 looks fair and he's preferred to Fanjove, whose keenness has been his achilles heel so far, so it is no great surprise that connections have gelded him over the winter. Faithful Dream has the box seat breaking from stall one and is another that should be heavily involved.

Michael Dods' REAL JACK shaped well when second at Newcastle on his final run and appeals as the sort to do a fair bit better in 2026

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Lexington Jet arrives in excellent form and must be respected, but all of his wins have come at Chelmsford so far and he will need to find another career best from stall 12. Doncaster winner Rising Force might have the better chance under a 5lb penalty but even so, TONAL gets the vote. The Siyouni gelding continue on his upward trajectory by defeating a well-fancied stable companion last time and a 6lb rise may well underestimate him.

By a quirk of fate TONAL (nap) finds himself as the only one with previous winning form at this track, which came over C&D in October.

19:30 Southwell (Class 5) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Newcastle victor Clansman and Analogical can both go forward and look to dominate, which could afford Jedd O'Keeffe's TROJAN SOLDIER the perfect trip. Beaten a neck over C&D before finding one too strong again over the extended 2m next time, the addition of first-time cheekpieces might give him that bit extra that is required. Although Atheneum was well beaten on his stable bow, he did show plenty in a couple of handicaps at Killarney and should not be underestimated.

The choice is ANALOGICAL who went down narrowly on his recent Lingfield return and should be suited by the return to a longer trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GESAYED made a winning start to her career at Hamilton in June and in what doesn't appear to be a deep contest, Karl Burke's filly looks to have been found another fine opportunity. Merry ran with promise to finish third at Kempton in December and she is likely to be competitive once again, while Korbut might leave behind her debut effort at Wolverhampton.

This is her first run since last June but GESAYED looked promising when winning on her debut and the extra furlong should suit.

20:30 Southwell (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

RAFT UP has been running with plenty of credit on his most recent starts at Newcastle and the step up to 7f might yield further improvement from Harriet Bethell's gelding. Camera Shy won over C&D on his penultimate start and it wouldn't be a surprise if he bounced back from his latest effort. Others for the shortlist include Reginald Charles and King David.

The vote goes to REGINALD CHARLES who wasn't quite at his best last time, but was 2-3 over this C&D last year.
