1st (1) (8/1 +43%)Dance Time |
8/1(+43%) | (1) Dance Time 8/1, Took keen and ran below form back up in trip when down the field in a handicap over 2m at York last time; effective 13-16f, acts on all-weather; course scorer, back on last winning mark. Stiff task at York latest; good record in AW handicaps; leading contender at this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/2 -160%)Prince Quattro |
13/2(-160%) | (4) Prince Quattro 13/2, Ran to form when second beaten 5l in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Cheltenham latest; produced a good effort on the Flat over 10f previously; looks one for long-distance handicaps on the Flat. Useful hurdler, most recently 2nd at Cheltenham last week; feared on Flat handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (25/1 -79%)Fleur De Mer |
25/1(-79%) | (5) Fleur De Mer 25/1, Ran to recent form when beaten 2l off 63 over 12f at Newcastle last time; effective 12-14f, acts on all-weather; in fair form but without a win for over two years. No win for this yard but she's run some fair races in defeat; others look better treated. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (3/1 +73%)Alnayef |
3/1(+73%) | (3) Alnayef 3/1, Back to form up in trip off a steady pace when fourth beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap over 2m at Musselburgh last time; effective 11-16f, acts on a sound surface; inconsistent maiden but capable in reapplied cheekpieces. 0-13 but went close at Hamilton last month; possible excuses on last two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (10/11 +60%)Betelgeuse |
10/11(+60%) | (7) Betelgeuse 10/11, Well placed and showed improved form when landing a handicap by 9l off 58 here last time; effective 12-14f, acts on all-weather; progressive 3yo who may need a bit more off his new mark. Wide-margin C&D win two weeks ago; 8lb rise fair but this is a stronger contest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (11/1 -22%)Different Tone |
11/1(-22%) | (2) Different Tone 11/1, Ran to form up in trip when beaten 2l off 69 at Chelmsford last November; absent for a long spell since and has retained ability to prove. 1m4f AW win for E Walker as a 3yo; makes stable debut after 720-day absence; new yard. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A major improver for a gelding operation when scoring easily over C&D recently, BETELGEUSE is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming and he can go in again off 8lb higher. Prince Quattro proved his well-being when runner-up over hurdles at Cheltenham last week and he may have a say on his return to the level. Queen Roslyn is a player if judged on her double at Newcastle last month.

Dance Time is of interest back on AW but QUEEN ROSLYN has done well following a wind op and may not have finished progressing yet.

1st (1) (3/1 -71%)Lady Milton |
3/1(-71%) | (1) Lady Milton 3/1, Improved when stepping up in trip on handicap debut, scoring by a length off 56 at Kempton last time. Effective at 7/8f and acts on the all-weather. Quite small but showed progress latest and should remain competitive. Improved for 1m and nurseries when winning at Kempton three weeks ago (form well franked). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (15/8 +44%)Thanh Nam |
15/8(+44%) | (7) Thanh Nam 15/8, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/4l off 49 over 10f at Chelmsford last time. Effective from 7f to 10f and acts on the all-weather; dropping in trip should be no issue and he looks on a competitive mark. Better effort upped to 1m2f last week; should run his race but others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (20/1 -82%)Trust No One |
20/1(-82%) | (5) Trust No One 20/1, Produced his best effort so far when beaten 6 1/2l in a 6f novice at Wolverhampton last time, albeit outpaced late on. Bred to appreciate 7/8f and steps up in trip; newly gelded with cheekpieces applied for this handicap debut. New trip/headgear could help but looks on a tough opening mark; gelded since last run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (17/2 +29%)Ciao Capo |
17/2(+29%) | (3) Ciao Capo 17/2, Ran below early novice form on handicap debut when beaten 7l in a 7f nursery at Musselburgh last time. Bred to be effective at 7f and beyond, but improvement is required now stepping up to 8f. Not progressing and hopes are pinned on the new trip and surface sparking something extra. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (10/3 +52%)Mali Star |
10/3(+52%) | (2) Mali Star 10/3, Below form when switched to the all-weather, finishing down the field in a 7f novice at Kempton most recently. Bred to stay 8f but has shown little so far and is hard to fancy on current evidence. Not obviously well treated for nursery and the yard could be in better form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (20/1 -167%)Harswell River |
20/1(-167%) | (6) Harswell River 20/1, Won by a neck off 53 at Redcar on her penultimate start before running below form on deeper ground last time. Effective around 7f and returns to the all-weather, where a better run is expected if bouncing back. 1m turf win last month; well held in Class 5 latest; this should be more suitable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (7/1 +30%)Twilight Serenade |
7/1(+30%) | (4) Twilight Serenade 7/1, Looked awkward under pressure and was never a threat when fourth, beaten 9l in a 7f nursery at Leicester last time. Returns from a short break; effective at 6/7f and needs the longer trip to help on the all-weather. Low-level form across four starts but this longer trip should see him in a better light. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (50/1 -150%)Looks Likely |
50/1(-150%) | (8) Looks Likely 50/1, Ran as though something was amiss when finishing down the field in a 7f nursery at Wolverhampton last time. Has a top course jockey booked and is effective at 5-6f on the all-weather, but has a bit to prove up in trip. Placed in first two nurseries but poor over 7f on last 2 runs; now steps up in trip again. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LADY MILTON did it well when scoring comfortably on her nursery debut at Kempton and the form of that race has worked out a treat since. A 4lb rise could prove lenient and Jonathan Portman's charge may have too much for recent Chelmsford second Thanh Nam, who is dropping in trip. Mali Star could be well treated off a mark of 57 on his handicap bow.

The step up in trip can help Twilight Serenade but LADY MILTON's Kempton win has worked out well and she can defy a 4lb rise.

1st (1) (10/11 +67%)Caballo Grande |
10/11(+67%) | (1) Caballo Grande 10/11, Knew his job and ran a fair race when third, beaten 3 1/2l, in a novice at Goodwood on debut. Has a top course jockey booked and is effective at 6f; a good run is likely with normal progress. Promising third at Goodwood on debut 19 days ago (6f, good); open to improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (5/1 +38%)Chhota Saab |
5/1(+38%) | (2) Chhota Saab 5/1, Improved slightly on debut when third, beaten 3l, in a novice here on his latest start. Effective at 6f on all-weather; needs to progress further to get off the mark. Third of five over C&D two weeks ago; that needs bettering but he isn't ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (7/2 +0%)Velvet Rhythm |
7/2(+0%) | (7) Velvet Rhythm 7/2, Too keen but ran to a similar level as on debut when fourth, beaten 2l, in a maiden over 7f at Lingfield. Effective at 7f on all-weather; drops in trip after a disappointing second effort. Has shown speed in two 7f runs and today's drop in trip is worth exploring. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (11/2 -83%)Black Missile |
11/2(-83%) | (4) Black Missile 11/2, Made a promising debut, finishing third, beaten a neck, in a novice over 5f at Leicester. Effective at 5f and should improve on that encouraging start, now stepping up in trip. Strong at the finish on his Leicester debut this month (5f); 6f should suit; can do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (125/1 -279%)Rendita |
125/1(-279%) | (8) Rendita 125/1, Below form when comfortably held in a novice over 5f at Wolverhampton last time. Has a wide draw and is bred to sprint; likely more of a handicap type. Modest form in two runs this month; significant progress required. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (16/1 -220%)Frankali |
16/1(-220%) | (6) Frankali 16/1, 26 Apr; 39,000gns A'Ali filly; half-sister to Adieu Spirit, fair at 7f; worth watching in the market. 39,000gns yearling; dam an unraced half-sister to a US Grade 3 winner; check betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (200/1 -300%)A Lott Of Kane |
200/1(-300%) | (3) A Lott Of Kane 200/1, Improved but never threatened when beaten 8 1/2l in a novice over 5f at Leicester last time. Pedigree suggests speed but has plenty to prove. Finished last at Kempton (6f) and Leicester (5f) in his two runs; difficult to recommend. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SEE THAT SPARK may have only finished fourth when well fancied on debut at Redcar, but he was green throughout and denied a clear run inside the final furlong. With normal improvement expected, he can strike, with Leicester third Black Missile fancied to chase him home on the step up in trip. Not beaten too far over 7f on both career outings, Velvet Rhythm could have a say, along with Goodwood third Caballo Grande.

Velvet Rhythm should be quick enough to cope with 6f but BLACK MISSILE is taken to build on the promise of his Leicester debut.

1st (11) (5/1 +50%)Lakers |
5/1(+50%) | (11) Lakers 5/1, Below form despite drop in grade when beaten 4 1/2l in a 7f handicap at Leicester last time. Effective at 6/7f and acts on good to soft and good to firm. Drop to sprinting needs to help on recent evidence. Drops in trip for AW debut but he's capable and this mark isn't excessive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (14) (22/1 -10%)Prince Of Pillo |
22/1(-10%) | (14) Prince Of Pillo 22/1, Below form from a wide draw when down the field in a handicap at Chester most recently. Off a short break. Effective at 6f and on a sound surface. Inconsistent but excuses latest and now lower in the weights. C&D win off 5lb higher in April but little to celebrate since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (13) (10/3 -33%)Artagnan |
10/3(-33%) | (13) Artagnan 10/3, Produced his best effort of 2025 in first-time tongue-tie when winning a handicap by a nose off 84 at Chelmsford last time. Suited by 6f and acts on all-weather. Small rise to deal with but capable of another good run. Dead-heated with Jungle Drums two weeks ago; may have the edge over that rival today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (6/1 +63%)Hucklesbrook |
6/1(+63%) | (1) Hucklesbrook 6/1, Again below form when well beaten in a handicap at Ascot last time after making too much use of. Off a short break. Effective at 6f and on all-weather. Down in grade and had looked a sprinter going places. Strong sprint form on turf in May/June; well beaten on last two starts; absent 12 weeks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (11/2 +61%)Dark Cloud Rising |
11/2(+61%) | (8) Dark Cloud Rising 11/2, Won by a neck off 87 at Leicester in August but below form without obvious excuse last time. Suited by 6f and acts on good to soft and good to firm. Fair mark if bouncing back on all-weather debut. Two fine runs in August; less good since but chance if back to his best; AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (14/1 -27%)Hiya Maite |
14/1(-27%) | (7) Hiya Maite 14/1, Below form with no obvious excuse when beaten 5l in a 5f handicap at Catterick last time, having been in good form prior. Effective at 5f and on any surface. In solid form until latest and could bounce back. On a good mark but suspicion he will prove vulnerable to stronger stayers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (16/1 -14%)Queen's Guard |
16/1(-14%) | (6) Queen's Guard 16/1, Still below 2024 form when down the field in a 5f handicap at York most recently. Effective at 5/6f and on a sound surface. Mark remains stiff. Good second here in August (5f) but well held in two runs since; opposable on balance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (11/1 +31%)Secret Guest |
11/1(+31%) | (12) Secret Guest 11/1, Again below spring best when beaten 7 1/2l in a handicap at Thirsk last time after making too much use of. Wide draw. Off a short break. Suited by 6f and on all-weather. Inconsistent but back on last winning mark. Up and down since his Thirsk win in May; lower AW mark but has a wide stall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (28/1 -27%)Twilight Jet |
28/1(-27%) | (5) Twilight Jet 28/1, Below form with no obvious excuse when well beaten in a handicap at Newbury last time. Effective at 5/6f and on any surface. On a fair mark if bouncing back. Inconsistent for new yard and well beaten under suitable conditions last week. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (13/2 +46%)Badri |
13/2(+46%) | (3) Badri 13/2, Ran a touch below form when beaten 4l off 95 in a competitive handicap at Ayr last time. Has the top course jockey booked. Suited by 6f and acts on any surface. Edging back down the weights and is a past C&D winner. Good record over C&D; solid effort in the Ayr Gold Cup latest; good chance down in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (12/1 -300%)Jungle Drums |
12/1(-300%) | (9) Jungle Drums 12/1, Improved and showed a good attitude to win by a nose off 87 in a handicap at Chelmsford last time. Likes to race in front. Effective at 6f and on all-weather. Back to form latest and capable off a new 2lb higher mark. Sprung 80-1 surprise when dead-heating with Artagnan two weeks ago; mark still feasible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (4) (22/1 -120%)Never Just A Dream |

Flattered by Group 3 form but respected on latest run. Retains ability and latest Dundalk 4th was encouraging; one for the shortlist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (2) (14/1 +0%)Rogue Sensation |
14/1(+0%) | (2) Rogue Sensation 14/1, Again below form when comfortably held in a handicap at Pontefract last time, ground possibly too soft. Effective at 6/7f and on a sound surface. Flattered by Cecil Frail form and remains on a stiff mark. C&D winner last October; highly tried this year and she has come up short; eased in class. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Artagnan and Jungle Drums dead-heated for top honours at Chelmsford and both must enter calculations from 2lb higher, but a chance can be taken on NEVER JUST A DREAM. Alice Haynes' gelding has been edging down the handicap and he didn't run too badly at Dundalk last time out. With three of his four successes coming on Tapeta, he might offer some value. Others to note include Rogue Sensation and Queen's Guard.

Never Just A Dream is interesting but BADRI (nap) has conditions to suit and arrives on the back of a good Ayr Gold Cup run.

8/1(-14%) | (7) Beaumadier 8/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 1 1/4l off 59 last time. Effective at 5f on all-weather. In form and remains on a workable mark. Turf win in August and ran well in AW events twice since; needs more to take this though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (11/4 +77%)Minnesota Lad |

4th (8) (15/2 +53%)Toptime |
15/2(+53%) | (8) Toptime 15/2, Scored by a head off 56 at Nottingham on his penultimate start. Stopped quickly and ran well below form last time. 6/1(+57%) | (2) Ready Freddie Go 6/1, Back to form when beaten 5l in a handicap here last time. Suited by 5f and acts on all-weather. Has become irresolute now but remains on a good mark. Dropped down the weights and now contests his first Class 6; return of headgear a plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (12) (40/1 -60%)Gypsy Nation |
40/1(-60%) | (12) Gypsy Nation 40/1, Again well below his summer form when beaten 8l in a handicap at Newcastle last time. Trained by a top course handler. Suited by 5f-6f on all-weather; out of form and tries a different headgear combination. Fully exposed and well held off this mark at Newcastle on Monday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (7/1 -8%)Let's Go Hugo |
7/1(-8%) | (6) Let's Go Hugo 7/1, Won by 1/2l off 55 at Newcastle three starts back. Better than the result when meeting trouble and beaten 3l off 58 last time. Effective from 5f to 6f on all-weather. Remains well treated if bouncing back. In good form at Newcastle of late but he is edging back up the weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (16/1 -129%)Glendown |
16/1(-129%) | (11) Glendown 16/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 4l in a 6f handicap at Catterick last time. Drawn wide but effective at 5f-6f on all-weather. Back in form. Regressive this year but handicapped accordingly; risky but capable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (14/1 -40%)Sanbona |
14/1(-40%) | (3) Sanbona 14/1, Scored by 3 1/2l off 54 at Musselburgh three starts back. Below form when not staying 6f last time. Suited by 5f and acts on all-weather; drop in trip should help though high in the weights. Two 5f wins in recent months; looks high in the weights now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having finished a promising fourth at Hamilton last month, GOOD POINT then went much closer at Wolverhampton. Bryan Smart's charge was only beaten a neck that day and with Oliver Carmichael claiming a handy 7lb, a similar level of performance may well be enough. Let's Go Hugo was something of an eyecatcher at Newcastle and is more than capable of getting involved, despite a 3lb higher mark, as is Glendown, who has been much more threatening of late.

Class-dropping Ready Freddie Go can feature prominently but TOPTIME returns to the AW on a competitive mark.

1/4(+0%) | (3) Desert Spring 1/4, Improved from debut when third, beaten 1/2l, in a 10f Leicester maiden. Proven at 10f and expected to progress further up to 12f; the one to beat. Looked unlucky on Leicester reappearance and she's a strong contender at this new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (7/2 +0%)Pyleates |
7/2(+0%) | (6) Pyleates 7/2, Showed fair promise on debut when 9l fourth in a steadily run Kempton novice. Related to King George winner Pyledriver and shaped well over 12f; should improve. Showed some promise on recent Kempton debut and she should know more this time; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (8/1 +68%)Sovereign Applause |
8/1(+68%) | (7) Sovereign Applause 8/1, Probably needed the run when beaten 7l in a 10f Chester handicap last time. Showed minor promise in novice races earlier in 2024 but has more to prove. Best RPR of 60 so far and has plenty to find back in a novice after another break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (66/1 -65%)National Voice |
66/1(-65%) | (5) National Voice 66/1, Reportedly made a noise in a juvenile hurdle at Down Royal last time and has had a wind operation since. Showed only moderate Flat form last winter and has plenty to prove. Hurdle winner but she's been disappointing in last two runs and is 0-7 on Flat; opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (66/1 0%)Ada's Day |
66/1(0%) | (1) Ada's Day 66/1, Made mistakes and showed greenness when finishing down the field on hurdle debut at Cartmel, having shown only limited promise in bumpers. Makes Flat debut. Tailed off in her last two bumpers and can only be watched on Flat debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (66/1 -230%)Montana Dancer |
66/1(-230%) | (4) Montana Dancer 66/1, Ran modestly when 16l fourth in a 10f maiden at Newcastle on debut. Bred for middle distances but needs to improve on that initial effort. 40-1 at Newcastle (1m2f, AW) last month and she finished a remote last of four. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DESERT SPRING shaped with more promise than the bare result would suggest on her debut, before catching the eye at Leicester most recently. The daughter of Oasis Dream ought to progress further now sent over a mile and a half, and this looks a fine opportunity for her to break the maiden. A half-sister to the top-class Pyledriver, Pyleates is worth considering following a pleasing introduction. Sovereign Applause looks best placed to claim third spot.

This looks a good opportunity DESERT SPRING who looked unlucky on her Leicester comeback and sets a clear standard on that form.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (14/1 +22%)Whitcombe Rockstar |
14/1(+22%) | (7) Whitcombe Rockstar 14/1, No-show from off the pace when down the field in a handicap at Goodwood last time; suited by 8f and best on the all-weather now; hopes rest on a return to that surface. Fine 2024 season but struggled with the handicapper this time around; penultimate run okay. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (11/1 -120%)Fantastic Fox |
11/1(-120%) | (8) Fantastic Fox 11/1, Didn't stay but ran to form when beaten 5l in a handicap over 9f at Yarmouth last time; suited by 8f and likely a bit better on the all-weather; easing in the weights and capable back down in trip. On a losing run but his latest AW appearance (June) was a good one; chance if in that form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (8/1 -100%)Rajeko |
8/1(-100%) | (1) Rajeko 8/1, Beaten on merit when second, beaten 2l, in the Spring Cup Stakes (Listed) over 7f at Lingfield last time; the mile will suit, and he has an obvious chance at the weights despite returning from a break. Unexposed and progressive; absent eight months prior to this handicap debut; check market. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Having finished fourth in a race that worked out well at Goodwood back in May, an official rating of 94 could prove lenient for the returning AL ARBEED. Richard Hannon's colt won't be inconvenienced by reverting to the venue of his only triumph and market support would increase confidence. Rajeko filled the runner-up spot in a Listed event at Lingfield in March and is feared most, ahead of the unexposed First Principle, who has been gelded since coming home in eighth at Doncaster.

The Britannia fourth and fifth Dividend and SUPIDO could be the pair to focus on. The selection comes from an in-form yard.

14/1(-40%) | (2) Kondratiev Wave 14/1, Ran to current form when beaten 2l off 55 over 7f at Lingfield last time; effective at 7-8f, handles sharp tracks; slightly below his best of late. Fair run in a better race at Lingfield on Monday; each-way shout back at a mile. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (11/2 +31%)Spirit Of Bowland |
11/2(+31%) | (3) Spirit Of Bowland 11/2, Again below his spring best when fourth, beaten 4l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; effective over 7-9f and best on all-weather; form has been declining since his spring win. C&D win in April was comfortable; below that level of late but revival wouldn't be a shock. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (80/1 -100%)Eagle Landed |
80/1(-100%) | (9) Eagle Landed 80/1, Blew the start and was another no-show, beaten 8l in a handicap here last time; visor on for the first time; effective over 8-10f and acts on all-weather; all to prove at present. Exposed maiden who has been well beaten in three runs this year; now tried in a visor. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

TONAL made light work of the opposition when romping home at Chelmsford and he's likely to prove a warm order in his bid to follow up. The five-year-old is 6lb well-in on this quick turnaround, with 5lb claimer Ryan Kavanagh retaining the ride. Marry The Night arrives on the back of a respectable second over C&D and could serve the most resistance to the selection. Kondratiev Wave may fare best of the remainder.

6lb well in under a penalty for last week's runaway Chelmsford win, this looks a golden opportunity for TONAL to follow up.

2nd (7) (12/1 -100%)Tootsie |
12/1(-100%) | (7) Tootsie 12/1, Ran to form with a fair effort from off the pace when 4 1/4l third in a handicap here most recently. Effective at 7-8f and handles the all-weather. Still a maiden but showing more, running well over C&D latest. Third to Heretic over C&D last week but beaten over 4l; maiden status to remain intact. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (3/1 +25%)Homme De Fer |
3/1(+25%) | (6) Homme De Fer 3/1, Ran to form when beaten 2l off 45 over 7f at Wolverhampton last time. Effective at 7-8f and suited by the all-weather. In better form of late and respected off a 1lb higher mark. Improving this year and latest 7f 2nd has been franked; big player back up to 1m. |

4th (10) (20/1 +20%)Poke The Bear |
20/1(+20%) | (10) Poke The Bear 20/1, Below form from a wide draw when down the field in a Chelmsford handicap last time. Ridden by a top course jockey. Effective at 8f and probably acts on any surface but remains a poor maiden and faces a stiff task. Regressive maiden who is hard to fancy on this year's evidence; now tried in cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (7/2 -40%)Back From Dubai |
7/2(-40%) | (3) Back From Dubai 7/2, Well placed and ran to form when beaten a neck off 52 here last time. Effective from 8-10f and acts on any surface. In form and respected despite a 1lb rise. Multiple course winner; latest C&D 2nd has worked out well; obvious claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (40/1 -60%)Duke Orsino |
40/1(-60%) | (4) Duke Orsino 40/1, Below form and failed to stay when well beaten in a Kempton handicap latest. Effective at 7f and suited by the all-weather. 20/1(0%) | (9) Kath's Tipple 20/1, Poor handicap debut when down the field over 6f at Newcastle most recently. Cheekpieces tried first time and returning from a short break. Bred for 7-8f but may not want further than 6f at present; others appeal more. Poor form to date; hopes rest on new trip/headgear giving her a big lift. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (9/1 +36%)Outrace |
9/1(+36%) | (2) Outrace 9/1, Again well below form when down the field in a handicap at Kempton most recently. Effective over 8-9f and acts on the all-weather. Inconsistent but now below last winning mark. Dangerous mark but wellbeing has to be taken on trust; Sean Levey replaces 7lb claimer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having improved with each run since reappearing here in late September, recent C&D scorer Heretic is dangerous to discount in his current form. However, a 5lb penalty does require more of the six-year-old and it might be BACK FROM DUBAI's turn in the winner's enclosure. Roy Bowring's inmate has been knocking on the door and compensation could be imminent. Wolverhampton runner-up Homme De Fer is lightly raced and completes the shortlist.

Homme De Fer can progress further but BACK FROM DUBAI's latest C&D second has been well franked since. He can win here again.
Ths is the racecard key.
