15/8(-36%) | (9) Cerelia 15/8, Promising debut when runner-up beaten 2l in a novice at Newcastle on only start; trainer in form; effective at 7f on the all-weather; has a good chance upped in trip. 410,000euros yearling; solid debut when clear second over 7f at Newcastle; leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (25/1 -127%)Pulsar Star |

More on turf latest (first-time cheekpieces; off here); that boosted by the winner since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (7/1 -27%)Forest Caper |
7/1(-27%) | (2) Forest Caper 7/1, Lacked pace down in trip when beaten 6l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; effective from 7f to 10f, acts on the all-weather; needs to bounce back up in trip. Turned over on 13 occasions already this year, 11 times at 5-1 or shorter; fully exposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (28/1 -155%)Cy Twombly |

40/1(+20%) | (7) Teggy Lasso 40/1, Modest debut after a wind operation when beaten 10l in a novice at Thirsk on debut; off a long absence; second run after wind surgery and difficult to fancy. Not seen (been gelded) since well beaten in one run for Craig Lidster well over a year ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (300/1 -355%)Machali |
300/1(-355%) | (10) Machali 300/1, Awkward start and poor debut in a hood when well beaten in a novice at Chelmsford on only start; type to improve when handicapping. Started 66-1 for her recent debut; needs a big chunk of improvement if she's to win this. |

150/1(-275%) | (4) Hobgoblin 150/1, Never going when tried in a visor and finished down the field in a novice at Redcar most recently; off a long absence and has plenty to prove. Well beaten in two runs for Sir Mark Prescott as a 2yo; handicaps over further maybe next. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (50/1 0%)Your Baby's Eyes |
50/1(0%) | (8) Your Baby's Eyes 50/1, Poor effort when finishing down the field in a novice at Wolverhampton last time; effective at 10f on the all-weather; dropping in trip and faces a tough task. Not seen it out in one bumper and two Tapeta runs over further; hard to recommend. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Nicator showed improvement for his debut sixth when runner-up over C&D last month and another step forward might see him mount a big challenge. Pulsar Star was gelded after his debut and improved dramatically when second at Leicester, but CERELIA is preferred. The William Haggas horses continue to run well and the daughter of Wootton Bassett finished a good second at Newcastle on debut, keeping on well over the 7f.

The 410,000euros yearling CERELIA looks the one to beat after a pleasing debut. Fight Your Corner should be capable of better too.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (10/3 0%)I'm Workin On It |
10/3(0%) | (2) I'm Workin On It 10/3, Improved under positive ride beaten a neck off a 2lb lower mark at Kempton last time; off a short-break; suited by 7f, get further, acts on AW; steadily progressing, longer trip could suit. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

3/1(+40%) | (7) Onemorenomore 3/1, Scored by 1 1/4l off a 3lb lower mark here two runs ago but below form under a penalty last time. Effective over 6f to 7f and acts on any surface; now 2lb lower but still needs to find more. Boasts a nose second and a win (off 3lb lower) in two runs over C&D this year; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (12/1 -20%)Enpassant |
12/1(-20%) | (6) Enpassant 12/1, Below form when beaten 7l in a handicap at Lingfield last time. Suited by 7f and acts on the all-weather; needs to bounce back to earlier form. Inconsistent of late; fine on Polytrack, so recent Lingfield effort will need overlooking. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (8/1 +11%)Wilde And Dandy |
8/1(+11%) | (8) Wilde And Dandy 8/1, Produced best work late and ran to form when beaten 3/4l off this mark at Newcastle last time. Suited by 7f to 8f on a sound surface; strong chance on that recent effort. Goes well round here and there was nothing wrong with his latest third; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (12/1 +0%)Ashen |
12/1(+0%) | (3) Ashen 12/1, Slowly away and beaten 9l in a handicap at Ffos Las last time when the ground was too soft. 11/2(+15%) | (4) Ziggy's Angel 11/2, Ran to form beaten 1 1/2l off this mark here last time; effective 6/7f, acts on sound surface; likely more to come. Solid effort over 6f here a month ago and won't mind going back up in trip; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (18/1 -100%)A Pint Of Bear |
18/1(-100%) | (9) A Pint Of Bear 18/1, Travelled strongly and improved tried in blinkers when winning by 2l off a 6lb lower mark here last time. Effective over 6f to 7f on the all-weather; should go well if headgear has the same effect. Blinkers did the job latest (C&D); whether he repeats the dose off 6lb higher the question. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ELIGIBLE has won here five times now with three of those over the seven furlongs and, although out of sorts when sixth at Chester in July, he is more than capable off his current mark as he returns to the all-weather. A Pint Of Bear won over C&D by two lengths off 6lb lower and cannot be comfortably dismissed, while I'm Workin On It is rarely far away and should go well.

Having progressed in Polytrack handicaps since undergoing wind surgery, I'M WORKIN ON IT is preferred to Wilde And Dandy.

11/10(+32%) | (1) Lake Como 11/10, Well backed and improved as expected when winning a novice at Newcastle by 3l last time. Suited by 7f and acts on all-weather. 13/8(-35%) | (2) Raging Raj 13/8, Improved again when landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off a 7lb lower mark here last time. Effective at 7-8f and acts on all-weather. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (13/2 +0%)Phantom Watch |
13/2(+0%) | (3) Phantom Watch 13/2, Improved up in trip when tried in a visor and beaten 1 1/2l off a 1lb lower mark at Wolverhampton last time. Effective at 6-9f and acts on all-weather. Respected on that latest effort. Couple of fair efforts since gelded and fitted with headgear; starting to look exposed now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (15/2 -15%)Emma's Letter |
15/2(-15%) | (4) Emma's Letter 15/2, Produced a game effort, perhaps wanting a bit further, when beaten 1 1/2l off a 3lb lower mark here last time. Stays at least 9f and acts on all-weather. Can go well again. String of consistent efforts in the blinkers; will need a career-best effort to take this. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Lake Como has to give 4lb and upwards to his rivals after winning by three lengths at Newcastle over seven furlongs and, if he gets the mile, he will make a bold bid to follow up. RAGING RAJ is looking for his hat-trick after wins at Kempton over a mile and then here over 7f, and the small field should suit him, with Emma's Letter potentially booked for third.

Raging Raj has progressed since gelded but a further 7lb rise may prove beyond him up against fellow improver LAKE COMO (nap).

4/7(+62%) | (1) Bowfell 4/7, Travelled smoothly and won a Newcastle novice by 2l last time; effective at 7f and handles all-weather; a useful type who could defy his penalty. Well backed and coming away with one other last time; may well improve further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

8/1(-60%) | (2) Hostility 8/1, Below form when fourth beaten 5l in a maiden at Wolverhampton latest; effective at 6/7f and acts on all-weather; an exposed type. Regressive, ex-Irish maiden who's been beaten very often at short prices; has the ability. |

40/1(+20%) | (6) Divine Wish 40/1, 2,000gns breeze-up purchase by Zoustar; sister to Safanah, fair from 5f to 6f; dam very smart at 6f as a 2yo; faces a tough enough task on debut. Went for 78,000gns as a foal but then for just 2,000gns last year; likely best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (50/1 +0%)Highfield Jewel |
50/1(+0%) | (7) Highfield Jewel 50/1, 23,000 euros breeze-up purchase by Kodiac; half-sister to Chelsea Harbour, useful at 8f as a 2yo; others appeal more this time. 23,000euros 2yo; may be best to look elsewhere unless there's good support. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (20/1 -25%)Splinterwood |
20/1(-25%) | (3) Splinterwood 20/1, Due Diligence gelding; half-brother to Gala Bella, moderate at 5f; dam smart at 5f at 2yo; top course trainer but hard to fancy on debut. Withdrawn from his intended debut a fortnight ago; this looks potentially a bit stronger. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (150/1 -127%)Natural Rhythm |
150/1(-127%) | (8) Natural Rhythm 150/1, Moderate debut when well beaten in a novice at Wolverhampton on only start; from a good yard and this longer trip may suit. Little immediate promise when last of eight on her debut a month ago; steps up from 5f. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BOWFELL is going in the right direction having secured his first success with an emphatic victory at Newcastle on his reappearance. The son of Blue Point is taken to defy a penalty with Billy Loughnane keeping the winning partnership intact. All Moonshine placed at Newcastle on debut and will know more today. She has much more scope than Hostility, although the latter is still preferred to his new stablemate Thequietman.

The O'Meara yard has been banging in the winners and ex-Irish THEQUIETMAN can add to the tally at the main expense of Bowfell.

11/1(-22%) | (4) Em Four 11/1, No-show from off the pace when beaten 5l in a handicap at Chelmsford last time. Effective at 6f on a sound surface. Down 1lb and can go well if returning to form. Two wins in small-field turf handicaps during the summer; needs to bounce back. |

15/2(+17%) | (1) Fiscal Policy 15/2, Again below form when beaten 10l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Best at 6f and acts on all-weather. Needs more. This is easier down another 2lb and it wouldn't be a shock were he to bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (9/2 -13%)True Promise |
9/2(-13%) | (2) True Promise 9/2, Produced best work late when beaten 2l off this mark at Newcastle last time. Effective at 5/6f and acts on a sound surface. Respected once again. On quite a losing run but boasts a decent record here; can't be left out of calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (5/1 -100%)Yaaser |
5/1(-100%) | (7) Yaaser 5/1, Ran to form, good attitude landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark at Newcastle last time; usually held up; wide draw; effective 6-8f, acts on any; drop in trip shouldn't be an issue. Winner off 2lb lower last time; harder they go the better for him from the outside stall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (18/1 +36%)Orbital Chime |
18/1(+36%) | (9) Orbital Chime 18/1, Scored by 3/4l off a 2lb lower mark here three starts back. Lacked pace to get involved last time. Effective 5-7f and acts on all-weather. Needs more. Popped up at a big price over C&D off a 2lb lower mark last month; others stronger. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TRUE PROMISE finished a close second when last seen over this C&D in October. Placed on both starts over 5f for his new yard subsequently, the son of Washington Dc looks worthy of another chance back at this venue. Hunky Dory also arrives on the back of a series of placed efforts and cannot be ruled out, while Em Four is no forlorn hope.

There will always be risks involved with YAASER but this mark is within range if the race sets up for him.

Good season on turf; well beaten off his career-high mark back on Tapeta last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Sax Appeal remains 5lb higher than when successful at Kempton in September. He placed in a tougher contest here last time and is not out of this, but last year's winner DANCE TIME may edge it. She has won three times since that success and, having scored by five lengths at Wolverhampton as recently as last month, David Loughnane's mare gets the vote. Bashful Boy and Trojan Sun are others with a shout.

The lightly raced AAJEJ is given another chance in first-time headgear. Bashful Boy is fairly treated and second choice.

David O'Meara has his string in decent form and Ziggy's Triton won well over C&D last time out. Toolatetonegotiate sits lower in the handicap and won at Lingfield latest, but ALLIGATOR ALLEY seems the one to beat. Three wins at this level of late were followed by a Wolverhampton third in a class 2 and the return to this grade could prompt win number 13.

The booking of Billy Loughnane catches the eye on Twilight Jet but preference is for C&D specialist HIYA MAITE.

MR NUGGET frustrated his supporters with another place when beaten a nose at Wolverhampton, keeping on well over the extended 1m1f suggesting the step back up in trip would be ideal. Spec Of Light and King Chaos can battle it out for the minor money.

Although most of his runs have been on turf, WHATACRACKER handles the AW and could be ready to strike.
Ths is the racecard key.
